Talk of the "4B" movement on here is a great way to see a lot of people declare "oh, they'll probably be saying it's transphobic soon" before dropping unalloyed transphobia. I mean, the top posts are all posts mocking the idea that it's being used by TERFs posted by people whose bios identify themselves as radfems and whose tags say radfems can interact, and making posts just saying things like "leftists will claim it's transphobic to class trans women with men", so we're not exactly dealing with a savvy covert operation here
But that misses the larger point that in this context going on Strike Against Men is pointless. It's all based on the assumption that it's incels driving Trump's victory, but that's a very online assumption to make, because it was evangelicals, and evangelical men only date evangelical women. They won't even notice any movement, because there's no shortage of women who support the misogynistic culture of evangelical America.
This is a thorny thing to talk about since while they're all victims of patriarchal brainwashing, yeah, there are a substantial amount of women in this country who have embraced it, who are against feminism, who think they should be quiverfull housewives with a dozen kids and no notions, and who think that lifestyle should be forced on other women. Conservative women are often oppressed by the restrictions placed on women by conservative culture, but also many of them enforce those restrictions. The idea of a large group of women enthusiastically co-signing their oppression is haunting. So it's unsurprising that for many, the response to that is to ignore it: to retreat back into a worldview of men who support Trump and women who oppose him
The incel is a descriptor of a certain type of angry, isolated young man, but it's a term that's overused until it's presented as the bulk of the right. I regret to inform you most MAGA men are, in fact, getting laid; they do have wives and girlfriends, who are themselves often MAGA. A majority of white women voted for Trump, after all. Of course presenting women as a united front for liberation against a lonely oppressor class would sound more appealing than that reality, but it's also a useless model for accomplishing anything, since it's, well, not reality

You're trying to pass off your transphobia as activism, but you aren't even doing it right???
The tag #radqueer doesn't refer to being a radical feminist and queer, it refers to being radically queer. Of course trans people are going to be there. You're also misspelling the transphobic dogwhistle of "wombyn". There's a B in there because it insinuates women have to have wombs. (Which isn't even true by the way. Plenty of cis women are born without wombs or have them removed even if you exclude trans women.)
So I see your posts whenever I scroll through the radqueer tag, to criticize them for things completely unrelated to being transgender, and every time I'm like wow. This radfem isn't remotely competent in her bigotry. She isn't just hurting other women but also her entire movement by posting like this.
Yellow!
I'm gonna use this ask to explain my current beliefs on gender, I'm not a know it all I'm still studying radfem theory, and queer history. I'll start top to bottom of this ask.
I've never once talked about trans people on this page, so I'm unsure of what transphobia you're talking about. This is probably one of the only times I'm going to talk about trans people, if I ever do again it'll be to talk gender as a whole, not being trans as a topic.
I assumed radqueer meant being radically queer, which I'd like to call myself that as I'm very forward with liberation for queer people as I'm a tremendously proud lesbian. #iloveyouladies💋 my target audience includes people who are also radically queer.
Unless I'm mistaken, which someone please tell me if I am, because I'm not trying to conform with any group that works against queer people's liberation, radical queerness advocates for dismantling heteronormative structures. That means deconstructing societal norms around gender, sexuality, and identity.
I'm well aware that includes trans people. Im a radical feminist and gender abolishonist, but I still hold space for trans peoples rights and their history. I critique the role of gender, I do not attack trans people as a demographic. A handful of radfems will disagree with me, but I believe it's better to put our energy on why people are transitioning, and what can we do to ensure that people do not change themselves for the sake of following gender stereotypes enforced by the patriarchy.
At the end of the day trans people are human beings, being trans does not automatically make you evil. Whilst there are trans people who do extremely evil deeds and use their identity as a cover up, that does not represent every single trans person to walk this earth.
As trans people deserve helathcare, to have rights, and exist in peace. I also believe they should have their own spaces, which would sort out the violence and discomfort against womyn in our spaces, and against the violence done to trans people.
I simply look at how gender imprisons us and how I can help abolish that cage rather than decorate it. I'm not going to take time out of my day and yell at trans people for being trans. It's weird and pointless, and I have better things to tackle.
No, I'm not misspelling women. I'm not highlighting female reproductive organs in the word womyn. That's pointless because that doesn't define a womyn. I'm spelling it this way to decentre men. Oddly enough, I've never seen it spelt that way before, I don't normally spend my time in HEAVY terf territory, they scare me...gives me the heebiejeebies. Anyways, not every female has working reproductive organs, or any at all, some of my sisters out there have had them removed (I salute you sis 🫡) so it would be silly of me to spell it like that.
Overall, I understand that a lot of radqueers would not identify me as being radically queer, since I'm a gender abolishonist not a gender expansionist, which is a small shame but oh well oh well. Regardless I will always advocate for my lesbian sisters, the homosexuals, and the bisexuals big kisses and hugs.
Anywho, if anyone would like to inform me on radical queerness beyond what I already know about it, please feel free, because I'm sensing a misunderstanding here, just a hunch tho.
If someone tells me they fucked up the meaning of radqueer, I'm gonna lose my marbles </3

Honestly I think most people on here are completely spineless and just listen to whoever can string the best sequence of progressive words along at this point. It's blowing my mind that people are acting like the new article's content is completely different from the allegations that came out literally half a year ago and that nobody believed. I genuinely think that most of the misconceptions and calls to not interact with the allegations back then came from intellectual laziness and refusing to listen to the podcast for more than 5 minutes.
The women recounted with their own voices the abuse that was done to them on the Tortoise podcast. It was just as graphic as the recent article is but with some of the new details missing. All it gathered was a post with 3k+ notes saying it was a radfem conspiracy to interfere with the UK elections and general indifference. I'm sorry but at some point you guys have to realize that bad people can still say and platform the truth and that being a leftist doesn't make you a good person. Treating SA victims like they were politically motivated liars or untrustworthy people for half a year and then doing a 180 about the exact same information is crazy.
To clear things up about the podcast:
- It is not true that the journalists support Neil Gaiman, distrust the victims, claim it wasn't rape or whatever theories came out about this. The reason they read the whatsapp messages and talked about contradicting testimonies, or if it was at all possible for Neil Gaiman to think the acts were consented, was to point out there are legally grey areas and how that plays into court rulings favoring men and why Scarlett's case was not taken seriously by the police.
- The journalists do not use this podcast to spread anti-bdsm views. They are very clear that bdsm is different from what Neil Gaiman did. The only instances close to this is when one of the interviewees says women agreeing to being degraded is a male fantasy. This is brought up by someone they interviewed for like 5 minutes total, and they then expand on that sentiment by saying it depends on the context and the power dynamics at play. The other time is in the first few minutes of the first episode when they bring up laws about bodily injuries during sex and literally say they do not want it to be about policing what people do in their bedrooms.
- The content of the podcast itself is not TERFy or transphobic and they do not even mention trans people in all this. They don't focus on anybody other than Gaiman and the victims too really.
I'm not saying people shouldn't be suspicious of news outlets just that at some point it'd be good to actually interact with what they're saying before claiming the victims shouldn't be trusted. You all really sounded like every typical twitter guy who is "scared to go outside because he might get falsely accused" but rebranded as a lefty by saying we need to wait for a trial and shit like this. Anyway we all know this will be quickly forgotten as is almost every sexual crime a famous man commits.
#neil gaiman#it is scary how easily people dismissed those allegations#or were very visibly more upset about their show getting semi cancelled than they were about its creator literally abusing people#sa tw#tw sa#Anyway sorry about this i just needed this out of my system

Other anon in the conversation again.
It has at this point been literal years of people fearmongering over transandrophobia believers/non-TRFs en mass becoming reactionary and hateful towards trans women/transfems and in the 5 or so years since this round of discourse started that has not happened and doesn't look like it's going to happen. At least not in the numbers people have been worried about.
The loud minority of people with bad opinions is always overrepresented, regardless of the topic, because a lot of people with more reasonable (and I'm sure some less reasonable) takes don't feel the need to put their thoughts out into the void.
Also most of the conversation I've seen about TRFs on 4chan recently has been in response to a screenshot where someone admitted to weaponizing accusations of transmisogyny against others in order to get away with being transphobic and hateful towards trans men and trans masculine folks more generally (the identity of the poster is implied to be transfem but people can lie on the internet so I'm not assuming when it's not certain and could easily just be someone trying to get people upset at trans women/transfems). I know a lot of people in my circles have had a strong reaction to that, because at this point it has been literal years (at least 5 that I can think of, this discourse has been happening since at least 2020 if not earlier) of accusations of transmisogyny being weaponized against other trans people to shut down conversations where people are trying to address ways in which trans women and/or transfems have been bigoted or caused harm.
Like a good chunk of the reason people aren't necessarily having the most well thought out responses to this because it is an acknowledgement, finally, after all this time, that we weren't actually crazy and TRFs have in fact been weaponizing accusations of transmisogyny to shut down valid critiques and gaslighting us about it the entire time. Like I know so many people who have gotten suicide baiting and death threats and generally harassing messages for supposedly being transmisogynistic, when the transmisogyny in question was them gently trying to inform a white trans woman that she was being racist, or ableist, or transphobic about a different group of trans people, I would not be surprised if some of those people are having bad takes as they're processing the information that at least some of the time the people who put them through so much pain and suffering knew what they were doing and were doing it on purpose. There's a good chance that that post was bait made to make people upset towards trans women/transfems, but it's framed as an acknowledgedment of something people have actually been dealing with and getting gaslit over, and when you've been gaslit you'll cling to any acknowledgment of reality that you can get. It's likely there's more bad takes going around than usual just from people reacting to the acknowledgement of the gaslighting.
Also because I find this helpful, the definition of gaslighting I'm using here is "abuse tactic in which an individual makes their victim/s feel as though they can't trust their own understanding of reality by repeatedly lying to them about reality and refusing to acknowledge reality around their victim/s".
All the more ironic when you realize that a go to insult against trans men is "birthday boy", meanwhile these radfems are doing the same shit they accuse trans men of.
"Oh no, I am just a poor little trans woman, you wouldn't be sexist towards a trans woman would you?"

okay making a separate post bc i don't really want to get into any drama but like.
idk. intersex is such a broad umbrella term!! there's many ways we have overlap in our experiences. all of us are impacted by intersexism. all of us are impacted by compulsory dyadism.
it's true that there are many of us who don't fit into dyadic ideas about cisness or transness. like, for example idk if i would ever call myself ftm. like i was assigned nothing at birth for about a week and then eventually assigned female at birth and then i went through a testosterone based puberty naturally and then was put on estrogen and anti-androgens and started growing a chest and then went on testosterone got top surgery and then and then and then. anyway its like i am an intersex trans man but im not female to male, im not a dyadic trans man, i don't resonate with endosex transition timelines whatever whatever whatever. but my identity as trans is important to me, whatever.
i know many intersex people who don't see themselves as either cis or trans and just identify as intersex. i know many trans intersex people who it's complicated. i know many cis intersex people who identify as cis but it's complicated. so i don't feel like i would ever say like "oh all cis intersex people experience this thing" or "all cis intersex people have this social location etc etc etc" "All cis intersex people don't experience this kind of discrimination."
but at the same time i am SO tired of seeing ppl make umbrella statements that are like "this thing applies to all trans intersex people" "this thing applies to all cis intersex people" and especially when it comes to saying that all cis intersex people don't sometimes have cis privilege in certain contexts or that cis intersex people can't be transphobic.
bc idk after studying the past 30 years of american intersex activism for my thesis one of the things that CONSISTENTLY jumps out to me is the tension between queer intersex community, and medicalized intersex community that is almost exclusively cis. like so many of the dsd organizations, throughout their past 15 years, have EXPLICTLY made comments disparaging other intersex organizations, calling them too militant, saying that they're ruining the intersex community because they ally with trans people like. all this transphobic bullshit. the dsd organizations today still use very gendered language, let radfems do fucking whatever in their organizations, advocate for surgery and so much other bullshit. like that actively harms trans intersex people especially in a situation where we have such limited resources. there are SO few resources for our specific diagnoses. like if i need medical information for my specific variation, if i need information on like, medication routines, genetic testing, complications, comorbidities, etc etc etc, i HAVE to go to a transphobic organization to get those resources. because there is literally not another diagnosis specific organization that exists! it's the only one! and it means that there are so many more barriers to me accessing the resources, community, and care that i need. because of transphobic intersex people. like. thats an example of how some cis intersex people really cling to their cisness, try to weaponize their cis privilege, and actively cause intracommunity discrimination. you know?
like. idk. i just think that we need to be realistic! in terms of intersex intracommunity things, there absolutely is a lot of transphobia! not from everyone, not saying that every intersex person is either cis or trans, with the understanding that every cis intersex persons experience is still shaped by compulsory dyadism and that shapes how we're viewed as our "real" gender or ways that society thinks we "fail" at our gender but just.
im tired! im tired.
#personal#actuallyintersex#anyway other intersex ppl can add onto this post or disagree or share ur thoughts bc#i think we all have our own perspectives and thats fine#endosex people probably stay out of this one

From my post about how NZ’s far right wanted to abolish the human rights commission but instead installed a gay racist transphobe instead.
…The more [TERF] beliefs became incompatible with core feminism, and the more core feminism became interested in exploring gender, scientifically and sociologically, as an ever-changing construct informed by but not limited to base biology, and the more radfems became consumed with their “cause” of getting trans women out of their spaces and away from “LGB resources” (actual argument that used to get propagated), the further away TERFs pushed themselves from mainstream feminism until they found themselves on the same side as the groups to which they were once fundamentally opposed: anti-feminists, homophobes, conservative religious groups, anti-abortionists, and neo nazis. Thus, radical feminism is perhaps one of the few true demonstrations of the horseshoe theory, where a group became so radicalised it jumped the iron gap and travelled all around to the other end of the horseshoe.
TERFs were great boons to the cause, and came with a huge inbuilt advantage for the right: many of them are lesbians, giving them a rare LGBT ally and a demonstration of the ‘harm’ trans people were causing.
The reason why so many TERFs are lesbians is partly because of queer intracommunity politics, and partly because the academic and social roots of TERFism originate in the UK and from UK academic feminism, led by their universities and which was always particularly ‘anti-men’ in its approach, producing student movements back in the 80s and 90s that discouraged women from dating men, encouraging them to remain celibate or to date women instead, and it’s this separatist ideology where radical feminism finds its roots. If the concept sounds familiar, that’s because there is currently a South Korean feminist trend based on similar ideals making waves in the West.
In fundamental ways, radical feminists and the far right are well matched: they’ve always shared a particular lack of complex understanding of varying structures of oppression, as I remember very vividly from online discourse back before radical feminism devolved so much it fully segregated itself from the mainstream.
Radical feminists were obsessed with working out who had privilege over others, or who were less privileged, and this resulted in complicated and very flawed calculations of compounding oppressions. For example, does a gay black man have more or less privilege than a straight white woman?
Boiling this down to its essential premise of how much is a marginalisation “worth” is what aligns the mindset of radical feminists with that of the far right. Neither group truly includes a full variety of perspectives to contribute to demonstrating and explaining the complexities in the ways our society treats marginalised groups. Such transgressive thinking is antithetical to their worldview and contrary to the norms they are invested in enforcing.
You don’t have to be highly educated or culturally engaged to see the inherent issues of trying to so distinctly define people into categories. Common sense would also tell you different groups have different privileges, different concerns, and that these would reveal themselves in different ways and need addressing with different solutions. Both a black man and a woman may be disadvantaged in finding a job vs your average white man, but one would have more reason to be worried accepting a drink from a stranger in a bar while the other might be more worried being pulled over by the cops. These real-life concerns can’t be differentiated down into a finite value.
(Not that either of these situations aren’t a threat to the other individual — women have plenty of reasons to fear the power of cops, and gay men who are victims of hate crimes are regularly picked up in gay bars.)
Common sense also would make you wonder how much it matters. If you want to add up all the different ways people can be disenfranchised, you’ll soon end up with a checklist of -isms too long to be of any use and able to find ways to fit anyone inside at least one of them, which is sort of the whole point. And in checklisting everything you’ll still be managing to ignore any nuance and the entire concept of classism, probably.
This was roughly the outcome of discourse between the left and radical feminists: “Your math doesn’t work out.” And like a true ally of the right, the TERFs said, “Doesn’t matter, we believe it anyway.”
Comment
Like the right, radical feminists struggle to conceptualise and explain the effects of compounding marginalisation, usually because they themselves tend to be quite privileged. Radical feminism was born from those first generations of women able to attend universities, and their demographic reflects that. Most radical feminists (actual radical feminists and not just people jumping on the transphobia bandwagon) were white women, able-bodied, on the richer side of the poverty line — and in fact, the exclusion of black women in the UK from feminist studies in universities has become a recent subject of criticism from black feminists, as Western concepts of norms have been drastically affected by the narrowness of the perspective of the field, and so in this way, defining ‘male’ and ‘female’ as distinct categories with distinct traits particularly disenfranchises Black people and other people and cultures of colour who maintain different ideals and norms, who have different physical features, and who resultantly find themselves alienated from a conversation dominated by the white voice.
Although their views on how gender should be divided in society are transformative, TERF positions on gender themselves are regressive and conservative, leaning into anti-scientific understandings of sex, gender, and the wider world that have steadily put the movement more and more at odds with academia and also, sometimes, with reality. TERFs, both women and lesbians, are members of marginalised groups who feel their space is being encroached upon by people who, by their own rubric, are evaluated as more ‘privileged’ than they are, yet are seen as ‘more harshly oppressed’ by others within their community, threatening their status and position within established movements. Having quite literally been the subgroup of feminists attempting put a value on oppression in order to determine who is “most oppressed” or navigate oppression dynamics, anti-trans feminists were women who found their position threatened by new groups and by their transformative ideas around the structures upon which their shared oppression was based.
Thus, the response of TERFs became to deny trans people, and particularly trans women, a position within the rubric in an attempt to stymie the growth of a group and ideology who threatened their position, authority and, they felt, their identities.
Conservative branches of movements formed by attempting to uphold outdated, unscientific ideals were ever-branching offshoots in leftism at this time. In the 2010s, within the LGBT community, radical feminist lesbians found allyship with ‘Truscum’ — trans people who believed that only people who experience clinical levels of dysphoria can be transgender. This movement almost entirely died by the end of the decade, but those sparse people and ideals remaining from the movement too have become very valuable allies to the far right. Like detransitioners, these rare examples of trans people holding non-normative subversive beliefs around gender and transness are frequently referenced, presented and paraded by anti-science fringe groups like the Free Speech Union as examples that prove their points and that some minorities support their ideas.
Truscum groups too were a response to new ideas of gender and sex threatening established science, identities, and ‘power structures’. Truscum-identifying trans people were generally individuals with a personal belief in the gender binary, were deeply affected by self-directed transphobia, and invested in the medical model. Truscums upheld the medical model of transitioning (that would eventually leave them behind), the gender binary, and then positioned themselves as scientifically-verified “outsiders” relative to that binary, a position that became threatened by the growing self-identification of non-binary individuals who signified a shift in thinking within the trans community away from gender as immutable and based in science, and instead used science to further question the sociological underpinnings of our concepts of sex.
I explain this to give you a cause-and-effect, psychosocial explanation of how these reactionary movements and beliefs spring up within movements in an attempt to demonstrate where positions like Stephen Rainbow’s come from — people in a marginalised community who turn on what many of us would see as a fellow marginalised group and what some of us (and many more bigoted or distant perspectives) would see as the same marginalised group.
Lesbians and feminists were not the only groups to have conservative social elements that felt threatened by encroachments of new marginalised identities within their community of marginalisation; it was demonstrated by gay men as well, just more bluntly and without them really forming an identity or body of academia or psuedoscience around their discomfort. But it’s through this ostracisation from their own communities caused by their unfavourable perception of, and then bigotry towards, new-entrant groups threatening the status quo, that groups like TERFs and gay men like Stephen Rainbow are pushed towards the radical right.
I also explain this to so you can get a sense for the categorical thinking that underpins these shared philosophies, and the way both groups put ‘value’ on these distinct categories of marginalisation. Radical feminists do put value on oppression in pretty much the exact way the right believe the mainstream left put such value on oppressions, and this has morphed into TERF ideas of status that the right think dominate left-wing thought.
The right count the monetary value of affirmative action initiatives and reparations, note the attentiveness of the public to marginalised issues, confuse the raising of diverse voices with the raising of status, and hold that the effects of these actions are a sort of ‘privilege’. The actual reasons behind these groups getting different levels of money and attention at different times is complex and much more to do with equity or recompense than value, but in dismissing this complexity, the right are attempting to ‘solve’ an unsolvable equation asking which marginalisation is worth what value to the left, while using entirely the wrong variables.
Because the far right are very strong believers in the value these marginalised identities must hold, ACT see appointing a gay human rights commissioner as “justifying” itself through marginalisation “points”, expecting him to be more acceptable or palatable to the left and to the public. They believe his oppressions qualify him or make him suitable, or somehow shield him from scrutiny, and they believe they can select by marginalisation in the same way Clarence Thomas was a Black Republican placed on the Supreme Court. They fail to recognise the way the majority of the LGBT community has embraced and incorporated the social, scientific, and gender theory behind current demographics and understandings of trans people and that, for the vast majority of the LGBT community, this is a point of unity and understanding between groups and identities.
Right now, gay men are frequently targeted by homophobic hate crimes, but that is not necessarily going to make them any more grateful to see an anti-trans gay man as Human Rights Commissioner because while it doesn’t affect his ability to advocate for gay men per se, his advocacy for queer rights ad a whole is likely to be compromised due to not truly sharing the same perspective as the community he supposedly serves.
This will not stop some conservative, privileged gay men from viewing any attempts at Rainbow’s removal as further alienation from their own community by “the left”. Rainbow’s placement in this position is a victory for the right either way.
In appointing Rainbow, ACT entirely miss the irony of what they are doing; they are the ones appointing people to positions entirely because of identity. The left, the wider population even, genuinely see the value and perspective different relevant minority groups can bring to these positions, and that is the basis for which minority identities can “favour” applicants for such roles. It is the right who have themselves boiled someone down to what “label” they can bring the role in order to better disguise their corrupt, bigoted appointment implicitly placed to further their race war.
Who’s playing identity politics NOW, Seymour?

OP of 763565544500854784
Won't be replying again but since people seem to think I'm a radfem over this one I will be explaining the content of my ask once and then ignoring all further discussion.
No, I do not think all woman in fandom who like men over women are pick mes or have internalized misogyny or whatever insults you want to throw at me and I also do not believe it's wrong to like mostly males. Most of my favorite characters of all time are guys. Probably a 7:3 ratio there if we're being real and most of women on that list are based on old nostalgia from when I was a kid and probably wouldn't be my favorites now. No I will not be providing a list because if people have decided I'm a radfem based on one ask I am not coming off anon or leaving identifying information behind I'm not stupid. I'm not risking somebody cross referencing my shit to send anon hate.
The big titty gf is not literal about what I'm referencing, it's a reference to "big titty goth gf" jokes and the smurfette trope, where a piece of media would have a single girl character who's primary personality trait is "girl." if for kids and "girl who breasts boobily down the stairs" if for adults. Because one of the common defenses towards hating on woman characters is that they don't have a personality beyond those two traits. They're just love interests an author can't bring themself to flesh out beyond "In love with guy character." It was not meant to shame people with big tits or act like big tits are explicitly sexual traits and if the nature of that was so unclear that you've decided I'm a radfem then you're engaging in the same piss on pour reading comprehension you think I did when I read the submission given I literally use it as a hypothetical that other people are using to refer to why the don't like the characters (she has big boobs and is meant to be sexy eye candy and that's it) and not why I wouldn't like a character.
What I am saying, in plain text as possible in response to the op, is that when we see people who only like white characters (or white passing), and act like all dark skinned poc are awful or boring, we call them racist. If we see people who exclusively ship M/F ships and minimize M/M or F/F pairings and cry "why can't they just be friends", we call them homophobic. When we see people shitting on gender headcanons and misgendering canonically trans characters, we call them transphobic.
So then why is it suddenly not sexist to call all female characters boring or uninteresting when the only trait they share is "girl"?
[In before "But you're still not reading the submission right" the submission is specifically saying that you're not solving real world woman issues by telling fans they're misogynistic. This is true. It's not going to make right wing politicians retract the abortion ban overnight or fix wage gaps or any other real world issues. Fandom is not activism and at the end of the day you're not going to change the world by being inclusive in fanfiction and nobody is going to care if the most active spokesperson for women's rights in the world only reads and writes slash fanfiction when it comes to the real world good she's doing. Same as reading and consuming darkfic does not make you an advocate for awful things happening to people or normalize it. You're not responsible for fixing all the woes of modern media with the fanfiction you're writing late at night getting home from work/school.
But it is still annoying when you come across your millionth post that is tagged "female character name here bashing" or "anti-female character name" or a fic that ignores the girls because they're so "uninteresting" to the author. You're still annoying even if no harm is being done and you can do real world, tangible good and still have sexist opinions on media. Nobody is calling you a bad person for it they're just telling you that before you decide every women in every media ever is uninteresting maybe look at yourself and try to figure out why you think that and understand why if you find even the most compelling fictional women boring, people are going to start assuming there might be some sexist biases here.]
Posting as a response to a previous ask.

@ameliaaltare i'm tagging you here because i don't want to have an argument on her post, but you don't need to lie about my post when reading it and seeing what i was talking about (with evidence), which is the fact that's being thrown out in favor of being told i'm a cryptoterf and to kill myself...for posting screenshots of a trans man being transphobic and using the socialization argument? how is being irritated with other TME people's hypocritical arguments that use disguised "male/female socialization" language as a support for their hypotheticals an indication of terfism? i included one post from a popular trans women because in the tags because it had many likes & reblogs, and she likened random TME queer people she doesn't know on tiktok to real-world rapists when that's incredibly insensitive and cruel and was getting eyes that agreed on it.
i wasn't disagreeing with you, and i brought it up on isuggestfrcefems' post in response to you saying that about trans men because i do research and have been gathering data on terfs/radfems for a thesis on trans men and trans women's experiences with "dual-citizenship" in the nontrans society's hierarchal perception of gender vs. sex incongruence. unfortunately that means seeing a lot of really mean and shitty people. and in that, some of them will hide as cryptoterfs and masquerade as trans people to rile popular bloggers up (more eyes and ability to spread around information, which is imperative to terf marketing — word of mouth, verbally or by text, is one of the most powerful advertising strategies.) no one brought up trans women being male socialized aside from you, where people would see it out of context on a popular post and immediately draw conclusions from that. the post of mine in question was specifically about that rhetoric being largely condemned by trans and for nontrans people unless it can be covertly and reactionarily applied to trans men and transmascs as an acceptable target to express or test out bigoted rhetoric they can't otherwise enact which isn't a "gender locked" behavior in any way, it's just anonymous/online bully behavior, entirely gender neutral
#response#i apologize for the tag but this is very frustrating especially when i don't and didn't express support for isuggestforcemasc whatsoever#you can see that i don't interact with any of the transandrobro bloggers either in the notes of my posts#and i also didn't want to further drag out an argument on her post that was already overrun with people arguing hence the tag

Hey, a bit of feedback on your efforts to keep transphobes off your posts, if you want it:
I feel like the "penis" stuff and the "men aren't dangerous" stuff is effective radfem repellent, but ngl seeing "penis <3 the existence of men doesn't threaten anyone" feels like reading something from a mirror-terf, like "oh yeah anyone with a penis is a man but that doesn't make them -dangerous-." Idk I thought you might appreciate feedback from a transfem who came across your posts and was torn between "I love these fiber posts" and "this bit makes me feel ick, what's going on here"
hm, that definitely wasnt my intention and im both sorry and alarmed it's affected you that way. im not really sure what you mean about mirror-terfs; it's not a term i've come across before. the way that i interpret the banners is:
penis <3: i personally am a big fan of it, regardless of what it is, i just love what other men are packing.
the existence of men doesn't threaten anybody: i'm a man, i'm allowed to exist. men simply existing is not a threat--it's actions that make someone threatening, not their existence. i'm allowed to dislike that other people are treating me as a threat just for standing there; so are all other men.
hairy men appreciation zone: i like bears. admittedly this one is not very on topic, but i have it and it makes me smile.
thats my feelings on them--my intentions are to make it unpalatable to radfems. the order and placement of them is more or less random, they aren't supposed to be read as a whole coherent statement.
does knowing my thoughts on it make it read any differently ?
i'm open to suggestions--i can't make these myself (the flashing gifs that they are cropped from is a horrendous migraine trigger, so the ones i have were given to me by my wonderful fiancé) but i can change their placements or maybe remove them from the lineup. if my radfem repellent is also repelling trans people, then it's not very effective and needs some adjustment. however i do also think that my intent behind them must matter somewhat.
your feedback is appreciated, i think i just need more information and understanding. if the banners are ultimately not a good solution, so be it--but i'd need to understand why, which i currently don't quite.
#apologies if this comes off wrong--im autistic and wording things correctly is not my forte#like i said im alarmed that its reading like that to you but i don't understand why or whether knowing my intentions changes it#if you could elaborate i would appreciate it--i think i need this spelled out for me#anonyme

IMPORTANT PSA
In recent times, /pol/ has turned Sylveon into a hate symbol and frequently uses her in transphobic, fascist and bigoted memes. Read my tweet for more information: https://twitter.com/WatchingTheChan/status/1760290278890422780 I recommend you stay away from theese types of posts and Sylveon for now, because many nazis outside of Reddit and other sane sites use Sylveon as an "inside joke" to identify and communicate with eachother. They have recently started posting them on Tumblr to intentionally harrass us and harrass transgender communities, but on other sites without active Trans Sylveon communities, sharing Sylveon edits (especially ones with the colors changed or made slightly more pastel to reflect the Dutch flag) has became a common dogwhistle. Also, remember: they are trying very innovative tactics to sneak bigoted Sylveons into our posts (Watch out for "Stealthjaks" or other hidden nazi imagery in Sylveon images). One of theese tactics is to make fake "snitch" accounts and misinform people on where theese attacks are coming from, so remember theese bulletpoints: - The trolls coordinate on 4chan's /pol/ (and on a few discord servers I've infiltrated and are watching right now) -They're spreading their mostly recently created affection for "nazi Sylveon" (aka "based Sylveon, "chudded Sylveon", "YWNBAW Sylveon") to other sites out of malice. Watch out for theese posts and report them. - Don't underestimate their tech savvyness. They will try their best to dox you if you present yourself as a great enough threat to them That is all, please share this to everyone you can. If you see theese Sylveon hate posts, report them, tell others about the bait, and move on. Stay safe out there! (please share this around I've been trying to warn people and raise awareness on my own for so long and honestly i'm so tired)
I’ve seen examples of this on several zionist and radfem blogs, and can attest that Sylveon is actively being used as a hate symbol and dog whistle.
So, fellow tumblweeds, if you engage with or are active in any Pokémon fandoms or even Pokémon-adjacent spaces, please reblog and spread the word. Don’t give this propaganda a foothold in your community.

TERFs, radfems, transphobes, will all be blocked
This blog is intended to share accurate, thoroughly researched, up-to-date information on trans news in the UK. Misinformation circulates very quickly and very easily, so I aim to cite and link all of my sources to everything I post about. Send in any asks or questions you might have and I will do my best to answer them. I do, however, recognise that some things I post about may change without me updating the post, so I encourage you to do your own research into these situations.
Trans news in the United Kingdom can be highly misleading and sometimes fully ignored, so this blog aims to inform and spread awareness.
