After they defeat Dugded, I think the Kings should really rethink that whole thing where only one country has the food, only one country has the medicine and only one country has the technology (ok, other countries also have technology, but N'kosopa keeps the juiciest stuff for themselves)

Look at Shugoddom under ShugoMask's reign. Sure, he stole it and the citizens were spoiled due to the excess of it, but it's because it was under Dugded. If they did just that but as a trade off, so other kingdoms aren't exploited and also get something in return and that people actually have to work for that so they won't get so spoiled? Imagine

First Step The long running animation "Together with Moffun," produced in Ishabana, the country of beauty and medicine ruled by Hymeno Ran, is well known and loved throughout land of Chikyu.

For Rita Kaniska, the king of Gokkan, the counrty of ice and snow, Moffun is also an important character who helped them to connect with Hymeno and Morfonia, Rita's retainer.

The day begins for these three people united by the animated character Moffun…

Hymeno Ran (Played by Murakami Erica) Profile of Hymeno: The queen of Ishabana, country of beauty and medicine, she is a member of the Royal Sentai who transforms into KamakiriOhger. Although she is selfish, her charm lies in her gentle nature, as she puts priority into saving people's lives and is considerate of other people's circumstances and feelings. She considers Rita, another member of the Royal Sentai, as her friend.

Rita Kaniska (Played by Hirakawa Yuzuki) Profile of Rita: The king of Gokkan, country of ice and snow, and the Chief Judge of the International Court of Justice who transforms into PapillonOhger. Through their interactions with the people around them, they've gradually come to express their emotions in public. They possess a sealing power of ice in their right eye, which seals away those who cannot be judged by the law, including themself.

Morfonia (played by Hasegawa Kasumi) Profile of Morfonia: She serves Rita, the king of Gokkan, and is a candidate for the next ruler of Gokkan. She's worried about Rita, a workaholic who values their position and neutrality over their own feelings, and speaks gently to them.

Reiwa Sentai tokusatsu-to-BL poll

I'm kind of obsessed with the tokusatsu-to-BL pipeline so I often think about which toku actors I would most like to see in a BL, but I don't know what other toku fans think about this. Hence, a poll. If folks are interested enough to respond to this, I'll try a Kamen Rider or Ultraman one next.

(Ok, I want to talk about this scene... If you're unfamiliar with this, these six (silver guy there doesn't count in the official roster) are the kings of their small nations on a distant planet. Red/Gira is a boy who had to grow up fast, who stole the symbols of authority from a wicked king who was willing to let millions die in a prophesied war. Blue/Yanma is the president of a high-tech nation, who built the mechs they use, and who has always had to hold his head high so his people wouldn't see him cry.

Yellow/Himeno is the Queen of a land dedicated to beauty and medicine. She has encouraged people to "be a little selfish" when reaching for their own dreams.

Purple/Rita is the Supreme Justice of the land of Gokkan, where all law on the planet comes from. Up until this point, they have worn a high collar around their face to keep up the image of impartiality, but here Rita wears the collar down so their enemy can see their face.

Black/Kaguragi is the leader of the breadbasket of the world. He plays five-dimensional chess, forges dangerous alliances and works behind the scenes to ensure the best possible scenario.

White/Jeramie is the half-blooded king of the Bugnarok people from beneath the planet's surface, the enemy faction in the first half of the series. In the second half of the series, Red meets with Dugded Djardin, a cosmic being who makes different races on planets go to war because it amuses him. Dugded is basically god, and every time the Kingohgers thought they had him beat, he had an another ace up his sleeve.

There's been a plan in play for years to defeat Dugded, but it requires full cooperation by the royals and as Yanma put it an episode before "A million small miracles all lined up." In that next to last episode, the kings tried to enact a full evacuation plan, sending their people into space. However, Silver/Racules and the retainers of the Kings realized that if they did, they'd just be perpetuating the cycle. Dugded would find them again and make them his playthings once more. So instead of fleeing, the WHOLE POPULATION of the world returned to aid their kings in the final battle. Those who could fight, did. Those who couldn't fight, tended to their Kings' wounds. During this time, the Kings received aid from an unlikely place. The land of the dead opened its gates and offered up: 1) their parents, 2) one of the king's warriors who had long ago been killed and replaced by a shapeshifter, 3)the enemy general from the first half of the series and 4) The Very First King of the World. The civilians, soldiers and fallen ones bought the Kings the time they needed to rest and recuperate after having asteroids literally dropped on their heads. They are patched up, fed, and have gained a second wind and smiling. And Dugded can't understand why they're smiling and gives them the best straight line ever. "Just who the hell do you think you are?" Yanma steps up first, declaring that he's not going to bow to some false god. He will hold his head high and lead his people into the future, a future where mankind never needs fear the wrath of the gods. He leads his team of hackers, codecrackers and inventors back to the battle, making sure that his most loyal retainer can stand up. Himeno is next. She identifies herself as the "Unwilting Flower" and tells Dugded that her path is before her and she will stride down it, and makes it clear that he is just a speedbump on that path. Kaguragi's speech says "These people are my life. I will cross through any depth of mud and dirty my hands for their sake." And in this case, fighting Dugded, he doesn't just intend to dirty his hand, he intends to bloody them. Rita's speech mirrors one they made earlier in the series "The law is spear that can pierce the heart of a king, and a shield that can protect the populace. Even in the face of death and destruction, the law remains resolute, and I am the Law." Rita is leading an army of justices and criminals alike, because they all deserve the chance to live free of Dugded's influence. Jeramie says "I am the king of man, of Bugnarok and all that lies between. I am the great storyteller, and my story will continue, but yours will come to an end." And Gira demands for a god to "tremble in your boots for you face the true might of Shuggodam. We will take this world that you have been toying with and conquer it for ourselves." What follows this scene is almost twenty minutes of fighting where everyone gets a chance to shine, and then the million little miracles happen when the people grant their souls in service to their kings. This allows the Kingohger to fight Dugded on a cosmic scale, in a brawl that ends with Dugded being punched out of the universe, and the Kingohgers breaking his soul into six pieces with their swords. This is by far one of the best final henshin scenes in Super Sentai history because the buildup to this moment was phenomenal.)

The next day.

Yanma: After that whole debacle... Husband did really come in, lock the doors, and went into town like he usually does.

Douga: Is that why all of you are in wheelchairs?

Gira and Jeramie: What else.

Me: *playing with puppetry to show the kids and telling a story with it*

Kaguragi, Himeno, Rita, and Racules: *smh* Typical. Anything new?

All 3: No.

Them: Then... let's get going on with the celebration with our freedom from the Uchu King.

Kaguragi: But isn't Random also a...

Gira, Jeramie, and Yanma: NO! Don't you dare compare him to our husband.

Yanma: He's more than that bastard could ever be! Eons older than King dunghead and way more powerful, too.

Jeramie: He looks dumb and smart. As well as is smart and dumb all at the same time. Despite he his true form looking like a human body made out of stars and galaxies.

Them: That we can agree with, Jeramie.

Gira: Honey... is just fucking hot, okay. That's all I'm going to say. Plus, he gave the 3 of us lots of demigod children.

So the preview pic of Racules sitting in that cage in N'Kosopa got me thinking and I feel like the best way for them to handle the situation is for all of the kings to take turns being his jailor. Because I think most of them would take the whole "we'll use you as a tool" thing very seriously.

Obviously, based on the preview pic, Yanma's keeping Racules a cage (that he can't even stand up in but Racules did try to kill Yanma so... *shrugs*) and probably doing some menial grunt work. Like cleaning some piece of tech or having to take out a hundred tiny screws.

I feel like Himeno wouldn't keep Racules in a cage because that just doesn't fit her aesthetic, so he could probably get away with just the flowery handcuffs. Probably doing something that involves serving Himeno herself like holding her sword or fanning her with one of those giant, feather fans.

Kaguragi would probably be the hardest on Racules (besides Yanma) because of the whole Racules threatening his sister thing. Also probably keeps him handcuffed so he can force him to do like manual labor with the kuroko. I'm torn on whether Suzume would try to convince Kaguragi to go easier on Racules, or just lounge on the sidelines telling Racules he's doing a great job.

Rita would probably see it simply as their duty to put Racules to work, so they can just assign Racules to be Morfonia's "assistant". Basically just means Morfonia gets to boss him around, almost certainly make him shovel the front of the castle. It would be a win-win because Rita can fulfill their duty without having to babysit and Morfonia gets to sit around all day being the boss of someone else.

To be honest, I'm not sure Gira would feel comfortable using Racules for anything. Simply because he's going through that awkward phase of coming to the terms with the fact that his brother's actually not an evil tyrant and does genuinely love him. If he didn't just keep Racules in the dungeon then it's just the two of them in the throne room (with Racules still handcuffed of course) while Gira tries not to make eye contact and Racules just smiles at him all proud. And of course you have Douga in the background watching Racules like a hawk.

I'm honestly torn with Jeramie because on the one hand, Racules did get in the way of his plans for world peace, but I also think Jeramie would be very sensitive to the fact that Racules was trying to protect his family. And this is Gira's brother and he loves Gira so... Maybe Jeramie feels he's already gotten even with Racules so they can just chill. He fills Racules in on what's he's missed in the last two years and how great Gira's doing as king.

And of course none of this would be complete without being able to see Racules being passed off from one king to the next. Like divorced parents doing the custody swap in the McDonald's parking lot.

Kaguragi addresses everyone as "-dono" but sometimes Rita as "Sovereign Rita". I'm putting Rita-sama and Rita-dono both as "Justice Rita". Normally I'd be inclined to keep the honorifics but since I already used the English form before I should stick to that and subs group conventions. ("-tono/-dono" is an antiqudated suffix that is only used in official documents nowadays. In history, it meant respect for those above you but nowadays it's used by the higher-rank to address those lower politely. Genderless, lower than '-sama'.)

Something about Rita's speech pattern is they tend to use a lot of kanji, as part of their solemn personality and regular legal jargon. I lack the context to evaluate how advanced Rita's kanji are to the average Japanese but the general sense of Rita having a more archaic/complex vocabulary is evident.

Here it is! the east/west cultural difference! Keigo is a big challenge for me as a learner already, let alone a translator. There's no direct dictionary substitution and it really depends on your intuition with usage in either langugaes. The keigo here is humble-type, while to make it sound natural in English, instead of reflecting your own incompetence, you are flattering the other party. In the next line, Kaguragi says because Rita came unannounced, they were inadequate in failing to preapre a welcoming committee. I think the scarcasm is there in English too, but I just feel it's more insulting to imply Rita is not exactly welcome while initiatively taking the "weaker" side (Kaguragi's gaslighting, what's new).

p13: learner's note: the royal kitchen is called 厨房(chuubou) while the word for kitchen I knew was 台所(daidokoro). Research shows 厨房 is a professional kitchen like in a restaurant and 台所 is the one at home. Katakana Kitchen is also in the vocabulary to mean a modern, western-style industrical kitchen. Chinese has lost the distinctioin and uses 廚房 (note!: an extra dot above 厨) for both home or workplace.

p16: I interpret Rita's first concern is in maintaining equality between the kingdoms. A duo alliance between ❤🖤 is only detrimental to a five-kingdom one they are working towards: small circle, and increased hostility from 💛💙 if they believe ❤🖤💜 is their small clique. Yet it is interesting Rita raised the question out of personal curiosity. Remember in the beginning there was this, feeling, ❤🖤💜 are seniors and they've known each other for longer? Now we know Kaguragi is actually Rita's junior in terms of order of sucession. Now they could've what he was like prior to taking the throne. Notice how they never describe him as a liar. Maybe Rita does find it odd a man of his capability feels the need to bootlick Racules.

One second I laughed so hard my chest started hurting. Next, I looked on in horror.

This show really loved mood whiplashes.

Using the powers of the enemy to fight the enemy. This show became more and more like Kamen Rider.

Manipulating others for the greater good, for Racules, a necessity had become occupational hazard.

I wondered if this was the first time Suzume and Racules had a normal conversation with each other.

A couple I shipped always ended in tragedy. For the sake of their survivals, I must not shipped them.

Only in toku you could find a character acted so serious while dressing up as robot.

I guessed, Gira going to visit each country to accompany his brother there.

As soon as Racules asked for the power to kill immortals, I knew he was up to something. Didn't expect his plan to have gone back so far, though. Damn if he can't say he's a puppet master. Can't wait for the trial next episode.

That Gira showing up wasn't part of his plan, and making himself the villain to train Gira up to take his place was just *mwah*

Ok, so apparently, Gira was created by Dugded (according to people on the internet, because I don't understand Japanese)

But he still has a Hastie cutie mark and had overlapping DNA with Racules. Also, Dugded said that he had all the previews kings of Shugoddom working for him

What if all the Hasties are Dugded's creations? He just makes some new babies and dumps them onto his current puppet (aka current king of Shugoddom) to raise?

Maybe Gira is simply a special case, because Racules was made to continue "the lineage" and Gira was created to eat that Rainbow Jururira (aka Kuwagon's soul) so he will be able to control the Shugods so Dugded can use him as a tool for something something

Idk, but sounds intriguing

Theory, that Racules hid Gira from Dugded which pissed Dugded who in return dropped Wrath of God, fits nicely

I definitely don't think that Dugded created Gira as an adult and I'm sure that Gira's memories are real. I think Dugded creates children but he just dumps them at current Hastie to raise for him

Also, the next preview! 3rd duel XDDDD looks like Racules wins this time, it feels like he spares Gira but let's not jump to conclusions

Racules with power-up is back!

Hopefully we'll get Racules revealing his Master PlanTM. Idk what he was talking about with Dugded or what could the plan be. Maybe, as a Jester he is provided with power from Dugded, so he could use it against him? Idk, but being stuck in a duel with Gira doesn't seem like a good opportunity to strike Dugded, so it might have not been part of the plan, I guess?

Anyway, finally Hastie lore! Still need more, though, are all Hasties Dugded-hand-crafted? Would fit my theories, even though they aren't clones but it's still close

I wonder, if Dugded created Shugods, how did humans travel in them from Earth?

Also, maybe Dugded wants Bugnarok eliminated because they eat Shugod souls and thus are absorbing their power (that comes from Dugded) and he feels threatened or sth?

Anyway, I hope we'll get the answers soon and that my boys will get to make up and be good brothers again!
