When I was but a wee shapeshifter in primary school I was absolutely infatuated with this girl. She was involved in some incidents where she was very much in the wrong. But you see I was gay. I was practically riding to battle in her honour (sapphic love language = going to battle in their name). When this other person was saying things about the girl I liked I sort of I suppose made wild animal noises at her. As in full on snarling and roaring.

So yes, I have always been a GAY animal (I have SO many stories about all the animal things I did as a kid. Let me know if you want to hear more).

I feel like there's something that isn't talked about much with any kind of body dysphoria, be it gender or species.

I know that at this point, I can't love my body. I can't even see it as me. But slowly I'm looking in the mirror and recognising it, not as me, but as a friend.

Idk I'm just quite happy that I'm making steps towards feeling happy with my body, even if I can't see it as me, even if it's miles out from how I think I should look, how I want to look, how I need to look to be ME.

I can't recognise my body as me. But maybe I can recognise it as a friend.
