🍄 Hmmm...I don't know that many of my headcanons stay purely in my head before I write them into fics! Some of my favorite themes are Clint being deaf, dyslexic, and/or ADHD (usually all three), Bucky being a little sexually inexperienced for all that he seemed like a "ladies' man" in Steve's eyes, Clint being very wary of hard alcohol (for himself and others) because his dad was an angry drunk. Clint having anger management issues that he puts an incredible amount of energy into suppressing because he doesn't want to be like his brother and dad, so he comes across as really easy-going but when he loses his temper he LOSES it. Clint having a knack for languages. Bucky not really wanting to fight.

❄️ Hmmm...again, I think if I had a dream theme/plot for a fic I would write it. But, I would pay Real American Dollars for a continuation of any of TPR's fics, but ESPECIALLY the post-war medieval arranged marriage one that was going to end up with Clint/Bucky/Jason and the Clint/Jason regency-era arranged marriage one. What can I say, I'm a sucker for arranged/forced marriage, especially situations that look like they are going to be dire and then are in fact just a delight. And Clint being rescued from under the thumb of his abusive father is also my JAM. I am also very (not) patiently waiting for more of @kangofu-cb's absolutely DELIGHTFUL Halfway House series.

Morell doesn't have time for this. Get it out of his kitchen, asap. Even if he used to deal with animals plenty when he was younger, his schedule is far too busy now, he can't keep it back home and he sure as Hell can't keep it in the kitchen at The Clergy. This will be promptly thrust onto someone else or he'll personally place the abandoned outside the perimeter of the building.

Listen, if it's not equine, Patches likely doesn't care all that much. He definitely doesn't want it in his lab. Likewise, he's often too much of a hot mess to keep an animal that isn't something both him and Stitches are fixated on, so this is also being dumped on someone else.

Gallon is somewhat averse to germs, and that applies here. He doesn't know where this animal has been and he shares no fondness for it, so it's more likely the slime will attempt to contain it. At the same time that he's not very keen on interacting with it, he also won't allow others to hurt it. This will soon become Admin's problem.

Not going to lie, Grimbly sees that thing and immediately ponders if it could be a potential snack. Then reminds himself it likely won't taste that good. The animal is quickly caught regardless because of hunting instincts he can't quell, but ultimately, he's also putting this on someone else.

Santi truly holds no malice for animals, but they just don't like him... He tries to shoo the little thing outside as smoothly as possible, and if he fails, he tries to get Grimbly to catch it so they can, once again, take this to more capable hands. It sometimes saddens him that cute animals will avoid him.

Would you trust any living being with Vinnel? No, of course not. He probably doesn't get to be anywhere near the animal before someone else rips it away from him. Fortunately, Vinnel's overwhelming hatred and desire to maim extends only to people, so it's not as if the animal would be in terrible hands. If he manages to grab it, he'll bring it on stage depending on how docile it is.

Belo is an angel. In spite of being a warrior, he still attracts and calms animals with ease. Once spotted, Belo will attempt to approach the animal and get it within his grasp. He will then request to see Admin as soon as he can so the power can ask to fly this animal to a different location. A shelter, if he's informed of where those generally are.

Nebul is the most apt monster to deal with this, and more often than not, the person the others bring found animals to. He can usually get a grip on the situation easily and has little trouble babysitting until something can be done about the situation. Besides, Purpur loves new friends! Maybe, if things line up, Nebul will adopt it.

Fank-e, Gods help him, is just painful to animals. He's huge, very loud, very flashy and fast. No animal likes that. He'll spend his time chasing after it only to either fail at catching it, inflict ridiculous amounts of collateral damage on his surroundings, or give the poor thing a heart attack when he catches it. He would try to keep it, but the chances of that poor pet living in constant misery are high, so other staff members remove it.

Listen. If it's small and wandering around all lost, it's a snack. Said pet would last very little around Sybastian, and that's that on that.

You know Krulu would probably would make the ground swallow that thing. You'll never see it again, who knows what happened to it.

It is one of my dearest headcanons that Gimli absolutely loves to buy Legolas gifts. Legolas is a simple elf; he's not one for fancy adornments, but he does love to look at things, particularly the beautiful crafts of the dwarves at the markets Gimli takes him to. Anything and everything that Legolas admires, Gimli will buy for him. He goes from wearing nothing to absolutely dripping in gems and jewelry of all kinds by the time they've left the fair! He tries to protest sometimes, but it brings Gimli such joy that he just lets him do it - and it's not like the dwarves have any complaints about such a generous patron!

And if they kept being reincarnated? He'd still maintain the same stance. Not interested. Not useful to him. But Jon, Jon is the one he chooses, and that's far more meaningful to him than something as insignificant as a soulmate. (and if Jon also has a soulmate, well... he'll deal with that in whatever way he must.) (And I don't mean he'd automatically kill them!) (Unless he personally finds them unworthy) (then all bets are off)

hartwin: Eggsy is the sane, practical one. Harry has gone too long being the wild card, being too good, too lucky, too independent. Harry overly relies on money, on technology, on social cachet to ease his way through what little of every day life he must go through in between Kingsman and missions for Kingsman. That isn't to say Harry is incapable of being a competent adult, it's that he hasn't needed to for decades, and he's redirected his energy to the spy life. He can charm anyone... but he's rusty at actually having relationships. At building a life with someone. At having someone else in his space. In having anything even remotely resembling a work/life balance. Eggsy might think Harry is someone to emulate and learn from, but to Harry, Eggsy legit is the better half of their relationship.

uh damn that's hard??? There's a lot of valid answers that could go here. So. Um. I'm going to cheat :D I'd love a GFFA fanfic that is mostly focused around what happened when Anakin became a Force Ghost, and his reunion with Obi-Wan. And it could take place across different timelines and flashbacks or w/e (that's what I've been thinking for a fic) but the main emphasis is their new situation, a fourth (master/padawan, generals, enemies) iteration of their ever-shifting dynamic, and one that I really never see explored. And I'd love to see @darthwillies tackle it and make me cry. my second dream plot is that I'd love to see @underacalicosky tackle an obikin werewolf or witch AU! thinking modern day, Anakin having been raised alone, either unaware that he wasn't the only one or knowing that there were more [werewolves/witches] out there but finding that they were unwilling to even go near him or would attack him unprovoked when he approached. So he's twitchy, wary, a total asshole at the slightest thing that sets him off, but oh does he want to learn. And of course he's ridiculously powerful/a prodigy and how did he even survive this long by himself, where did he even come from, and Obi-Wan knows everyone is asking themselves this, maybe he volunteers to teach Anakin what he needs to know, maybe he's ordered. But none of that matters if he can't get Anakin to trust him first.

Original characters for sure! I do enjoy a good 2nd person POV when appropriate (for example, when mimicking the structure of a narrator from an RPG…) but I’ve never had much interest in writing reader inserts. Reader inserts need to stay vague, and I gotta know character motivations in depth.

Durgestarion my beloved! Obviously there’s the “vampire drains cursed blood which helps alleviate the urge” thing as the foundation of Come Down, but on a fresher note… I think the two of them probably have an absurd amount of fun fucking up the social dynamic of any new situation you put them in. Astarion has the wonderful combination of not giving much of a shit of what anyone thinks of him while getting to push all the boundaries of his new freedom, while durge is dealing with a TBI and also spent most of their life underground in an isolated death cult. The two of them have no idea how to behave in public (or in Astarion’s case, he doesn’t care how to behave in public) and probably spend a lot of time getting banned from any tavern they enter.

….hm. Unfortunately I do pull a lot from both professional and personal experience— professionally I’m a clinical (formerly hospice) social worker with an LPN on the side, so a lot of the icky nitty gritty I already had to know. That being said cult dynamics is out of my usual wheelhouse, so I did spend a lot of time reading case studies there.

So originally this was a joke from way back during the homestuck heyday. There is a character who was raised as a baby in the middle of the ocean, I used to say he was raised by lobsters because there’s no explanation given for how a baby would survive in the ocean otherwise. I chose lobsters because they’re fun and weird and I happen to like them quite a bit.

Then people were like “oh is it because you’re from new england?” and I stuck with that instead, because I’ve gotten quite attached to the name and weird lobster roleplay but would prefer to leave the homestuck piece of it behind.

I discovered I was autistic about a year ago. Since then, things have really changed for me. I’ve started to realize that things I’ve done in the past are actually just autistic traits, such as masking. I’m extremely high masking and would often attach names to certain “masks” I would put on around certain people. This habit has been going on for some time now and has persisted even into my regression journey, which only started becoming a huge deal over the past few months. I ended up associating different regression states/headspaces with names/temperaments, so that’s why I go by many names.

I’ll introduce them to you in a moment, but I want to clarify something right off the bat: I DO NOT HAVE DID. Dissociative Identity Disorder is a very different disorder that I am very passionate about advocating for, and I DO NOT want anyone to misconstrue my situation for something as complex as that. I’m simply on the spectrum, used to be a theatre kid, and have masked 95% of my entire life. Regardless of which name I sign off as, it’s still me, but please be aware that each name has a different age and temperament attached to it (that’s why I’m doing this in the first place.) Talking to me in my little space like I’m an adult can be very triggering.

On a scale from 1 to 10 how much do you enjoy editing and why? I'd actually put this up at an 8 I think. Most of my trouble writing comes during the first draft process b/c I'm a perfectionist and I have to write things in order from start to finish, so the first draft is sometimes super painful to get out if I'm having trouble focusing. But once the draft is in place, editing is SO much easier because I already have something down to work with! It's easier to adjust than to produce, and I can skip around as needed in a way that I can't really get myself to do when writing the draft.

Is there a piece of media that inspires your writing? I mean everything I've ever enjoyed since childhood tbh but if I had to pick one piece of media as formative in a fandom sense it's Homestuck. Second person is still my favorite POV for how it lets you get in characters' heads, and while I mostly avoid it in Hoyo fandoms b/c readers outside of Homestuck fandom hate it, that closeness to a character's thoughts is something I strive to emulate in any POV. Homestuck also made me aware of how much I love massive ensemble casts with complex character dynamics. And it was extremely formative for kinks and preferences both narrative and sexual lmao. Weird alien xenobiology stuff, doomed narratives/characters, trans characters, oviposition, body horror, weird time/parallel universe shit, polyamorous and nonstandard relationships, multishipping and switching. All kinds of good stuff.

Share a headcanon for one of your favorite ships. Well right now Phaidei owns my soul so I'll give you something for them, based on some lines Mydei says early on about how as a representative of Kremnos he can't just do/accept anything he wants: Mydei has been interested in pursuing a relationship for Phainon for a while now, as someone that is his rare match/equal, but politics prevented him from acting on those urges. Now he's no longer the crown prince but his promise to Aglaea meant that he left soon after abdicating, so he didn't trouble Phainon by bringing it up (he knows Phainon's fragile heart couldn't bear to be separated again after that). However, after receiving the signet ring from Phainon, he considers the two of them engaged or possibly even married, and if the situation were to allow him to return to Okhema, he would 'court' Phainon Kremnos-style by pinning him in a duel, throwing him over his shoulder, and publicly carrying him back to his quarters to have his way with him 😉

3. Have they traveled beyond Aedyr's borders before? How do they handle being so far from home?

No, the Living Lands is Maeve's first time traveling outside of Aedyr. She had been in the Emperor's employ as the court augur for nearly a decade, but a series of omens she interpreted in the year before her excursion to the Living Lands were a bad combo of "not really that dire for the empire" and "wildly unpopular at court", so the Emperor sent her away to let things blow over for a bit.

Her first time away from home should be more difficult... except weirdly, when Maeve arrives in the Living Lands, she feels like she's coming home.

11. What are your Envoy’s thoughts on animancy?

It bothers Maeve a lot that she doesn't know who her patron god is. Because of that, she's cautious around all gods, and would like to believe that her portents and visions come from them. So she dislikes animancy, because she's afraid to meddle in the business of the gods. At least at the beginning of her trip :) Towards the end, having seen animancy's uses and having spent time with Giatta, her view on it softens considerably.

23. How did your Envoy handle Ygwulf?

Oh boy. Ohhhh boy.

The short version: She forgave him and let him go. And later lied about his whereabouts.

The long version...

Maeve is emotionally distant, and very cerebral/"in her own head". She has always struggled with relationships. She's had some, few and far between, but short-lived; she always felt like her partner was just with her for the thrill of being with a godlike, and she never felt the connection she thought she should feel.

When she and Kai and Marius are in the sewers of Paradis and she finds Ygwulf's journals... The words "Forgive me, Maeve", in his handwriting, shake her to the core. Most of the time, her first interactions with a person are an uncomfortable dance where she feels suffocated - she's very perceptive, and people's feelings are often "too much" for her. With him, first he murders her - from far away, unseen; then he asks for forgiveness - on paper, from far away, unseen.

Turns out she just needs that space. She needs to think about the idea of a person before actually interacting with them. For her, attraction is a mental thing.

When she encounters him, she has a feeling, a portent, like she's reliving a situation she's been in before. When they talk, he stands by his convictions and is willing to kill and die for them, and somehow that feels "right", like that's what he should do. And what feels "right" to her in that moment is to forgive him, and let him go.

Later, she's given a vision. The Voice shows her the story of Enhekala, a woman from long ago who looks just like her, and Nekkad, her lover. Nekkad, who is so devoted to his cause and his convictions. Nekkad, who holds their people's stories so close to his heart, and sees Enhekala as a threat to their people. Nekkad, who kills Enhekala.

Enhekala, who forgives him.

Maeve can't sleep for days after that vision. None of her companions understand why she's so distraught. Finally, desperately, she writes a letter to Ygwulf. "You are the only person I've met on this journey who has experience with portents," she says. "Maybe you can help me decipher the meaning of this one."

He writes back. They write to each other for a while. And so, from far away, at her pace, her feelings for him can develop, and she can find that connection that she's only heard others talk about.

(I started writing a fic about this and then got frustrated with how it was going, but I'm hoping to come back to it someday because THE PARALLELS)
