Pumpkin French Toast

Chef’s Notes: I really liked it, especially warm. The slider buns worked hella well, used... 14 buns, so 28 toast?

Because I didn’t use a beater, my butter looks wrong. But, when it melts from the heat of the toast, it works fine.

Ingredients

French Toast

4 large eggs, beaten

3/4 cup milk

1/2 cup pumpkin puree

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Kosher salt

1 loaf brioche, sliced into 1"-thick slices OR brioche slider buns (12 to 16)

unsalted butter (in 1 tbsp increments)

(opt.) powdered sugar, for dusting

Pumpkin Butter

4 tbsp unsalted butter, slightly softened

2 tbsp pumpkin puree

2 tbsp maple syrup

1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Kosher salt

Instructions

1. In a small glass mixing bowl, whisk eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, and a pinch of salt. together.

Traditionally, you’d use a shallow baking dish and soak each side, but my method speeds it up

2. In a large nonstick pan over medium-low heat, melt 1 tbsp butter.

3. Submerge bread slices into pumpkin mixture and let soak for about 30 seconds. Immediately place bread into the pan. Do this for as many as will fit in the pan

For me, 7 slider buns fit. Also, it’ll be helpful to have a timer going as you can cook the slices as you are dunking the next one

4. Cook the slices of bread at until golden, 3 to 4 minutes per side.

I found 3 minutes 30 seconds worked perfect

5. Re-butter the pan if it is dry (1 tbsp butter), and repeat cooking until slices are gone and/or mixture is used up.

6. For pumpkin butter: In a small bowl, whip softened butter with pumpkin, maple syrup, pumpkin spice, and a pinch of salt until light and fluffy.

If you go by hand with a fork because it’s not worth it to bring out the beater, it won’t be fully incorporated like you want, but it will work and taste just fine

7. Top French toast with pumpkin butter, and a sprinkle with powdered sugar.

My first post I ever made. I was pretty new to the tumblr community at the time. I loved kitchen witchcraft, and I'm the type of person who will ramble on about how much I love cooking and baking. This blog gave me an outlet to express my love of cooking, baking, paganism, and witcraft. And these rolls are very tasty, I make them to this day!

Tasty, simple, and a crowd-pleaser. It's perfect for a beginner kitchen witch! It was also the second recipe I ever posted.

It was a recipe given to me by one of my good friends at the time. Every time I make it, it gets devoured in less than 10 minutes. It was also my first recipe to get over 50 notes. I was shocked but ecstatic that so many people would even give it the time of day lol.

I love pumpkin bread and apple cider... So why not combine the two? This one was definitely one of my favorites of all time. Moist pumpkin bread and chocolate chips have to be one of my favorite things on this planet. It also makes for the perfect gift for friends and family. Yummy!

Occult Recipebook

INTRO

Occult gameplay is up there with one of my favourite ways to play. Food is a part of our Sims lives, and should also be for occults so that they can cook up their preferred foods.

This Occult Recipebook is a collection of custom recipes (food and drink) for Occult Sims in the Sims 4.

I have started off this occult culinary journey with: ✨SPELLCASTERS✨

I have plans to later create foods for each occult life state, so I will keep adding to the recipe book.

“Spellcasters” as a life state can be played in so many different ways: they can range from gnarly evil witches who practice black magic and eat bird entrails, to happy little fairies who live in cottages surrounded by woods and flowers! I have tried to include a little bit of everything in the recipes I have created. These foods are a mix of fairy, fantasy, green garden witch, apothecary, or black-magic sorcerer etc. 

They effect Spellcasters and/or human Sims in many weird and wonderful ways.

E.g. Nettle Tea which helps teenagers suffering with acne, Milk Thistle Biscuits which leave the consumer with prickly thistles in their tongue, and Eye of Newt Soup which most Sims will find disgusting but which Spellcasters will happily slurp up.

Pumpkin Pie French Toast with Homemade Pumpkin Syrup 🥞

Ingredients:

For the French Toast:

4 large eggs

1 cup milk

1 cup canned pumpkin puree

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

8 slices of bread (preferably thick, like Texas toast)

For the Homemade Pumpkin Syrup:

1 cup maple syrup

1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree

1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions:

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, vanilla extract, pumpkin pie spice, and ground cinnamon.

Dip each slice of bread into the pumpkin mixture, ensuring each side is well-coated and soaked for a few seconds.

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or non-stick spray.

Cook the soaked bread slices for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

For the pumpkin syrup, combine the maple syrup, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and ground cinnamon in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until warmed through.

Serve the French toast warm with the homemade pumpkin syrup. Optionally, sprinkle with powdered sugar or extra cinnamon.

🎃🍁(More) Tangled Fall Headcanons🍁🎃

Rapunzel still makes hand turkeys. She never got to do them as a kid she makes a whole production out of it and makes everyone do it with her.

Cass loves slasher movies, so do Eugene and Kiera. Catalina and Lance prefer ghost movies. Varian likes true crime and lost media/urban legends. Rapunzel doesn’t really like horror, she can appreciate a good ghost story but that’s about it. I feel like she would like urban legends as well, since some of them contain love stories or life lessons. I’ve said this before, but Eugene and Varian are true crime buddies. When they’re together at home and just hanging out on the couch, there’s a 99% chance Investigation Discovery, Bailey Sarian, or Buzzfeed Unsolved is playing. If they’re on a road trip, they’re listening to some sort of murder podcast.

Varian and Quirin let the others go apple picking on their farm free of charge. As long as they share some of their bounty with them to make a pie with. Max is very happy with this deal.

Rapunzel always goes to football games at the local school, even if she has no idea what is going on. She relies on Lance and Eugene to tell her who’s winning. (Varian 100% dated the quarterback somehow and it ended horribly)

Rapunzel and Catalina collect pretty leaves. Varian does for science. (he thinks they’re pretty too)

Lance loves soup season. He lives for soup season. He is soup season.

Varian collect cinnamon scented things. So do Catalina and Lance.

Quirin loves to bake in the fall. Apple pie, pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, etc. it is not uncommon for Hector and Adira to stop by around this time. (If the leaves are changing, Quirin’s got free food)

Lance loves French toast pancakes.

Quirin fuckin loves Arsenic and Old Lace. So do Lance and Eugene honestly. Lance loves I Married A Witch. Rapunzel loves Corpse Bride and Nightmare Before Christmas. Kiera loves Beetlejuice. Cat and Varian love Coraline. Cass loves Halloween.

Kiera makes fun of Varian for being a theater kid, but if she sticks around when he plays Beetlejuice The Musical…well that’s her business.

Varian and Eugene aren’t the biggest fans of fall but they’re just happy to go back to regular coffee instead of iced. Varian is looking forward to wearing sweats again.

Rapunzel makes everyone hand made sweaters.

Quirin always has the coolest dad sweaters and everyone gets jealous that Varian gets to wear them. Sometimes Eugene gets nephew privileges.

Quirin hosts Thanksgiving for his family + Varian’s family (aka Quirin’s adopted children) but regularly gets into passive-aggressive fights with Lance over who cooks the turkey.

There was a mix up once and Quirin accidentally brought home a live turkey, and Rapunzel and Var wouldn’t let him kill it. They named him Eritrea because they thought it was a cool name.

Varian listens to Sweater Weather by The Neighborhood.

Here is the minecraft food update ideas that have been plaguing me fo a very long time:

(Also I know most of what I am about to list off are in many minecraft mods, you don't have to tell me about them, I just wanna yap about things)

(Also also I mainly talked about food we could have with the already existing edible minecraft items)

-First of all WHY DON'T WE HAVE APPLE PIE IN MINECRAFT!!! WE HAVE PUMPKIN PIE SURE BUT WE DESERVE APPLE PIE TOO!! Oh and also golden/enchanted golden apple pie... cause I think it would be funny and I want it

-Continuing the pie train sweet berry pie, glow berry pie, shepherd's pie(we have enough meat options to make it), chicken pot pie and also just learned about this one, fish pie

-Speaking of fish, sushi. "Oh bUt FAndOm yOU neEd riCe AnD SeAwEEd To mAKe sUsHI" no you don't, there are many recipes of sushi without rice in them and you can use the dried kelp as a substitute to seawed

-But also yeah they should add rice too

-Squids, we should be able to eat the squids... both of them(and yes you would get the glow effect if you ate the glow squid)

-Getting back on the pie train for a second for the actual last pie for the list(unless I forgot any that could be made via the limited items we have in minecraft), chorus fruit pie, cause it's funny to think about

-Carrot cake, chocolate cake or even better brownies, sweet berry cake and glow berry cake

-Sugar cookies

-Cheese!!! Which they made cheese in one of the april fools updates, so they infact can code this in, but I want it in a specific way, it is the height of a half slab and it is eaten like a cake... and maybe also cream, butter, yogurt or frosting even, since the one cake we do have seems to already have something like that on the sprite on it... also I think it would be funny if you crafted a whole stick of butter and eat it infront of your friends

-Speaking of "april fools updates" sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes

-Chocolate, just regular chocolate

-Add on from the last point hot chocolate

-French toast, we have all the ingredients for this why can't we have it?!

-Maybe some egg dishes? Like fried eggs, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs...

-Oh it just came to me, eggs benedict! Just replace the english muffin with regular bread, which probably make it count as a sandwich now that I think about it... they should also add sandwiches...

-Maybe also some more dishes with mushrooms? Even though I don't lkke mushrooms irl it's kinda weird to only have one food item with them in it

-I also wouldn't mind if they made more stews or soup

-Puddings! More specifically bread pudding and chocolate pudding

-Caramel

-A lot of trees are actually very safe to eat the bark and seeds of

-Sunflower seeds

-Also apparently if you boil it, you can eat bamboo as well and we have that in minecraft so we should eat it

-Many types of juices!! Some short examples would be carrot juice, melon juice, beetroot juice... etc.

-Kinda going off topic with this one, but I wanna gnaw on the bones we get from the skeletons, mojang let me eat the bones!!! You can make it so if you eat one it gives nausea cause it is actually unhealthy to eat bone as is and can make you seriously sick, but I wanna be a rabid fucking animal damn it and scare off the hoes. Side note here but you can also eat bonemeal and be okay to do so, so yeah that is also an option

Aaannd that's all of them for me, but if any of you have some ideas on what else to add do let me know, I probably missed alot of things

food from yesterday (minus breakfast because it was ugly) i don't feel like typing everything out so intake was 765/900, 55.6g protein, and 753 net

breakfast was coffee with syrup and almond milk, an omelette made with two yolks, half a white, cheese, and a bit of salad mix, french toast bites, pumpkin pie pancakes that actually turned into pumpkin pie crumble, and then i took the crusts from making the french toast bites and made a little snack out of them for a total of 317c, 24.8g protein

Recipe Maintenance Updates

There are a little more than a few recipes i've been meaning to update. These recipe either had some coding i wanted to change, textures i wanted to fix or i wanted to make changes to the overall mesh.

If you don't download the new updated recipes there won't be any problems in game, and it won't cause a LE or anything like that. But i suggest you do because they're way better now!

You'll also need to redownload my food enabler since i changed texures in there as well!
