Rereading Eleceed to catch up (which, if you haven’t read I highly recommend) and just got done with the arc with jiwoo’s mom and her whole workplace debacle and there’s a question that’s just been nagging at me.

Who the hell is Jiwoo’s dad???

I mean, we all love to joke about how Kayden and Kartien adopted him because of how protective they are of him (plus they act like a divorced couple that got remarried for “tax benefits”) but we’ve never seen Jiwoo’s actual dad. Even in flashbacks it’s only ever his mom. Is he dead? Absent? Something else?? Idk I’m curious because I’m assuming that Awakened powers are hereditary (given the several families of awakened ones we see) so his powers are likely from his dad’s side. And if he is around why didn’t he tell jiwoo or his mom about his powers??

Idk I’m curious and have nothing better to do.

kaeya going to fontaine now results in a sudden influx of customers lining up to buy diluc's brews, a few new partnerships offered to him out of nowhere and businesspeople suddendly growing curious about the dawn winery's gentleman.

because you bet your sweet ass that kaeya talks about his big brother a LOT. he has talked about luc so much, he has probably outright charmed some people with how happy he looked talking about master diluc's business that people have grown intrigued about the dawn winery's owner.

funniest part? he didn't meant to do that... not outright. it's probably the first time he has accidentally manipulated someone just by being his happy self and didn't realized the impact it had.

Martin Hagen

Oh, it all started with him, Marty my beloved 🖤 so a few of his ~important~ character sheet things below, and later I'll list some personality traits/characteristics!

This is the first study I did of him in full color, with decent linework and a ~final~ design!

Age: around late 28

Height: 1.75 (5'7)

Astrological Sign: Chaotic Sagittarius

Languages: Russian, German, English

Heavenly Virtue: Undeniably loyal, wants to see the people he loves happy

Hellish sin: People pleaser, has a hard time saying no and establishing boundaries - is made a mop by most people because of this

Current Occupation: Pâtissier Assistant and sometimes a Chef Assistant at the same high-end Hotel his friend Diana works at

Now, a little list of things I wrote down when first thinking about his character that have remained to this very day which is quite a rare thing tbh

Looks like Diana out of coincidence, but his hair is more pale blond and has tanner skin (compared to hers)

STING STYLE

Has strong opinions but avoids conflicts

You know, "a gentleman will walk but never run" - will walk away from fights but if the situation calls for it, will fistfight with grace and burning anger (I can't run away from Sting)

Very chill and friendly vibe

But also "don't mess with said vibe or I'll fucking kill you :)"

Noisy. Gets easily evicted - that's how the story begins

Super skilled guitarist but enjoys a more practical, grounded and simple approach

What works, works. He won't argue and he doesn't want to make his life difficult

Just wants to vibe with his music

Connects easily with people

Very friendly and chatty - can and will talk with the first animated object in his line of sight

Heart of gold, must be protected at all costs

Has neglectful parents who never really cared about him

He tried his utmost best to impress them, but it never worked

Hence why he became such a huge people pleaser

And that's it for Marty... For now. We'll get to know him better in the comic ;)

He ended up being that precious little character I got super attached to and didn't even see it coming. These little illustrations were my first try at presenting a character, exploring different angles, poses and how to show personality through simple and subtle things - I still have to get better at drawing the same face in multiple angles, but the best way to learn is by doing it!

Face consistency/likeness is a bitch to be honest, but hey, at least you know all the art here is human made then, not AI hahahahaha

Maedwyn also did wear helmets because he actually really liked his face and didn't want it fucked with.

How would that work though...

So I think his helmets would need to be in 2 pieces. The first piece would be worn like the male Viera headdress where it covered the top of his head sparing his ears.

And the second piece would be more akin to a mask, but it enclosed the head and face like a real helmet would, fastened in place by cords or aether-locks.

It might seem uncomfortably like a muzzle, a fact Maedwyn fully admitted to -- he'd been forced into things similar during his captivity as a Garlean conscript. But they were in fact excellent protection without obstructing his ears and the whiskers attached that granted him excellent spatial awareness, and he knew nothing struck terror into Garlean commanders' hearts like seeing something resembling their "prize dogs" facing them down.

Cowards of this grade painted themselves with the same stroke, everywhere. He had seen that pants-pissing terror on his minder's face when he killed her, and he didn't mind seeing it again on any of her wretched allies' either.

But, practically speaking, Maedwyn's helmets resembled Fray's face-plate. A gesture of love?

Forever crying over how much Gojo cares, loves and supports his students/adopted kiddos, believing so much in them when it comes to making the world a better place for sorcerers. The loss of his best friend is such a heavy one, and yet it doesn't stop him in his tracks or slow him down. But instead, it intensifies his resolve, more than anything.
