Okay, folks. I would please ask for your feedback on this (please, please share and reblog so others see this). I kinda want to do a challenge for the monster romance and the monster fucking writers in either March or May. (You know: Monster March or Monster May.) I will do this for myself definitely. I think a lot of people are getting the wrong idea when they call Tolkien a freak because he invented this elaborate framing device whereby the Red Book of Westmarch was actually written by Bilbo and Frodo (with some addenda by Sam) and he, Tolkien, was merely an editor and translator. Throughout history it's actually been a very common literary device for an author to represent their work has having been written by a character who appears in the story, with the author themselves variously positioned as a translator, editor, and/or literary executor. At the time that Tolkien was writing, such a device would have been seen as somewhat old-fashioned, but certainly not eccentric. Like, Tolkien was definitely a freak, but not for that reason.

I tried to write a very short sex pollen troll/redcap story and currently I'm at 5535 words, most of which is politics, and I guess now it's a distant prequel to the Apocalyptic Wizard/Paladin lesbian novel that contains characters who will probably be in the sequel to the novel. Which is cool but I'm only about 14k words into the novel and I also do not know how to like. .... put the sex pollen situation out there for people to read without potentially making problems for myself if I want to try to get the Apocalyptic Questbians novel traditionally published.

On the other hand. he is a very big troll.

this is NOT a good time to order a t-shirt from my etsy, because I don't have the money in my account to cover the production cost of the shirt before etsy pays me the money from the order. however, school is about to start for son boy so if anyone wants an art or writing commission let me know lol! he's mostly fine but I need to buy him a pair of the uniform slacks because last year's is too small, I get paid Friday but it'll be cutting it close so. yea-

I'm trying to decide if I want to make some of my paintings available for sale on here/Instagram before it ends up on etsy, just because I know it's more likely I'll stay in touch with someone who bought a painting through social media connections than someone who just randomly finds it on etsy. idk. selling it through etsy means I end up having to do less math for taxes + shipping expenses.

idk, if anyone's been curious about getting a physical acrylic painting on canvas from me and wants to know the price/size and estimated shipping costs, let me know this week I guess.
