You know I've been drawing Loop as their Siffrin form so much that it's got me thinking. I've read and seen so many fics and artworks of Loop eventually getting back to looking like their old self, but I don't think I've seen any so far of Loop already being a mirror copy of Siffrin. So uh, yoink?

ISAT AU where the game plays out the same way (plot-wise at least) but Loop looks like Siffrin the whole time and while Siffrin is extremely perplexed that there's another him, he's still gotta accept their help because how else are they supposed to escape the loops? Good ol' Loop is here to help, helpful friendly Loop!

ok SO Rika @quirkle2 has this. absolutely incredible mob psycho 100 zombie apocalypse AU that everyone should go check out immediately. by everyone I mean everyone who's into mob psycho 100 and not bothered by zombie stories, which probably is approximately 2 of my followers but that's okay. SO.

zombie au. absolutely rewired my brain. because of everything about it, but the key that got me (a certified zombie media avoider) to go insane about it was the fact that zombies are still human. they don't lose their personhood. they're still "in there", if you will; being a zombie is a disease that rewires your brain and changes your body. Zombies are ridiculously strong, they don't feel pain, their capacity for language is buried under thick mental fog, and they're slow to process and respond to stimuli. But they're still people.

AND LIKE I SAID I'M FROTHING AT THE MOUTH ABOUT THE POSSIBILITIES THAT KIND OF ZOMBIE LORE PRESENTS. and specifically for mob psycho 100. Specifically the idea of Mob being turned into a zombie and Ritsu being unable to kill him, so he takes Mob along on a journey for a cure that kind of wrecks both of them in the process. And I got to thinking about what this kind of zombie lore would do to the mp100 story as a whole, if you tried to match zombie powers to psychic powers, and what about ghosts, could you keep the Mogami arc somehow, and how could you fit Dimple into this whole thing? and wait what if the cure for zombie-hood left Mob with zombie strength still, what if that could be the equivalent of psychic powers....?

and at that point I realized I was thinking of something related to quirkle2's zombie au—building on the same foundation, but in a whole different direction—and it would be fun to actually turn that into a fleshed-out au. so!!! with Rika's go-ahead (thanks) I'm documenting my own zombie au here.

My baby girl is just the bravest pup lately!! I'm really having Feels over her progress this weekend - she is no longer on ANY anxiety meds - trouble getting delivery, then the vet said was fine to not start again if we wanted to see how she does. Since she seemed to be handling things just fine, we're going with it!

Friday we had a vet visit to check her teeth, and they took her back for bloodwork & nail trim. We're going to do a dental & vaccines in the next month or two, she's got a lot of tartar buildup & mild gingivitis starting. She was definitely very stressed with the visit, as expected, but she still let me pick her up multiple times, hand her to the tech, and they said she did great in back as well. She's still so shut down with the new surroundings that she doesn't offer to bite. Not ideal reason, but we'll take it for now.

Then all weekend I've been out each night until late with a music festival, so routine change. And tonight we had Jack's mom over for dinner for the first time as well, only 2 days after the vet. She shook the first few minutes, but went over on her own for a sniff & small lick, then came back to observe from her safe corner behind me. Within 15 minutes, she was actively enjoying pets from me, and she was relaxed & snuggling the rest of the time after that.

been getting into toki pona recently. and i'm not great with all the grammar yet. but i am really a big fan of the whole concept. i like rephrasing complex ideas through the most basic of concepts and i love translating idioms into. not idioms. 'when night falls' -- > 'if the sun dies' delights me. its like a puzzle and that's what delights me. i don't think i'd enjoy speaking it casually but reading and translating are super fun. the same kind of entertaining as a jigsaw puzzle. but there's also a level of philosophy involved. with redefining complex feelings. tldr. robot girl with robot brain likes puzzles too much. so nothing new. all of this is to say. i'd like to be acquainted with all the tokiponists out here because y'all seem super cool.

it's been almost a year since my last post but i'm going to revive this blog!

i did enjoy doing this but there's two-ish reasons i stopped, one being the weekly format wasn't working and two that honestly i hit a major reading slump. i didn't read a book for like six months, it sucked.

but! i'm back reading again, so i'm gonna try a new format! instead of posting weekly, i'm going to post as and when i start/finish things. (dnf too, where applicable). there'll probably be longer between posts this way but each post should be more articulate and it'll feel less like a chore for me personally.

i'm also expand this beyond just a book blog and basically use it as a more general personal blog (as opposed to my main fandom blog). i'll post about english and japanese language reading, progress on translation practice, and anything else that i feel like.

What do the ROs look like?

Aurelius/Aurelia Weaver

They are a pretty tall person clocking in at 6ft/182cm. They have hazel eyes and russet brown skin that is scattered in beauty marks. They also have a very faint scar on the corner of their top lip. Their hair is dark brown and kept in dreadlocks. Aurelias locks come down to her mid back and Aurelius locks are a little bit longer than his chin. They both have a preference to keep their hair pulled out of their face and in the games they have it pulled back into a ponytail.

Creon Levesque

Creon is average in height at 5'8ft/172m. They have dark brown eyes and olive skin. Their skin is smooth and blemish free with a few freckles across their arms. Their hair is black and loosely curled. They both keep their hair fairly short with F!Creon keeping it in a bob and M!Creon hair grown out from a very short hair cut. Their curls kind of make their haircut look the same M!Creons just is a little longer in the back

Asher Fairchild

Ash was slightly bellow average in height at 5'6ft/170cm. They had dark green eyes with very fair skin that was covered head to toe in freckles. Their hair was light ginger/strawberry blonde. F!Ash liked to straighten hers and keep it in twin dutch braids that rested just below her shoulders. M!Ash kept his hair short just below his ears, he also straightened his hair but he sucked at it so no matter what he did it was either wavy or curls were always appearing throughout the day.

Blue (fanfic) - When he finds a hero unconscious in the snow, Roulette knows he should walk away. But this hero is just a little too pretty, the bruises painting his skin a bit too intriguing. Oh, and this hero, one of the top heroes of the city, has been missing for an entire week, only to show up in the middle of nowhere covered in very illegal substances.

Broken Eggs (fanfic) - A perpetual night falls upon Quesadilla Island, monsters roaming the lands and forcing the inhabitants into hiding. The story is told through the journal entries left behind by one of the islanders, learning to adjust to this new life, and learning to love a new family.
