not entirely sure how this works but i have propaganda for anakin and obi wan:

ani literally won a podrace against the best pilots on tatooine when he was (10? 11?) and literally jabba the hutt was watching him. he was who immediately popped into my mind when i saw this and he is CRAZY but he always ends up totally fine and having completed what he was trying to do. also not long after winning the podraces, he BLEW UP the trade federation command ship and probably saved naboo.

you don't think of obi wan as an amazing pilot but that is because he is sensible and his apprentice is ANAKIN SKYWALKER. he is masterful and literally a very strong jedi who would be able to use the force to aid him (even though he doesn't need to). we don't get to see his piloting much but he has the bead on his padawan braid that signifies his piloting skills.

I had no idea Obi-Wan had a specific bead on his braid to show he was a good pilot! That’s so cool!

Who is she?

Esther Sinclair is the Proctor of the Clinton Hill Chantry and the Chairwoman of the Gramercy Occult Society. She is a very powerful wizard and the daughter of Gabriela Sinclair, one of the Furies of Tompkins Square Park.

Why is she the NPC of All Time?

Protected her heart from ever being close with people so she'd never be hurt! Very sad! Bags the absolute babe that is Ricky Matsui after breaking her families curse! Amazing!

Cool punk wizard. Her spell focus is a baseball bat. Need I say more.

After Round 2, we will have an extra Round 2.5, featuring every other phylum that received over 1,000 points! This will give some of the more highly ranked phyla a second chance to move on, and make Round 3 a little more interesting.

Round 2.5 will include Cnidaria, Platyhelminthes, Tardigrada, and Ctenophora.

I'm making this poll because I use post dates, and in this day and age it seems, to me, that it's absolutely imperative that we be able to tell when a post was made so we know whether or not it's outdated information. I've occasionally seen posts reblogged of old outdated news that makes me wonder if the person reblogging it uses this feature. I'm also curious, if you don't use it, why not? Feel free to elaborate in the notes!

One of the foundational members of the Rebel Alliance, leader of Phoenix Squadron, Hera's skills as a pilot has saved countless lives, not to mention getting her crew and family out of tight spaces in the nick of time 

There isn't a pilot in the imperial fleet who can outrun her!!!! And she parents a whole crew while she does it. no one is doing it like Hera. No added help of force sensitivity because she is simply THAT GOOD. THEE pilot of all time, ever.

She outflew literal Anakin Skywalker without the force.

One time she flew through an imperial hanger in orbit and jumped to hyperspace while in the middle of it to get past the blockade. Also she beats out force sensitive pilots just by being so good at it

He should NOT be allowed to drive but drive he does and he gets where he's going and how. Even when the ship is barely functional (probably his fault). No but he's the first one who popped in my head when I saw this tournament and I bet it was the same for several others. Pod racing is like His Thing™ in episode 1 and from then on he frightens and amazes with his piloting. I think that's what truly drove obiwan gray so young. Orange Flags (found in any post but especially ones about politics)

We don't always have the time and/or energy to do our own research, so here are some things to watch out for:

No sources. Obviously this doesn't 100% guarantee that the post contains misinformation but it does mean you can't easily verify it. Is OP right? Wrong? Outright lying? You don't know!

Contradicting sources in the notes. Again, doesn’t necessarily mean that OP is wrong, but you should absolutely do your own research before sharing if several different people are providing contradictory evidence.

'Unreliable' sources. What constitutes as unreliable depends a bit on context but be especially wary of unsourced screenshots (could be taken out of context), clearly biased sources (e.g. 'Nationalist News of [Country]' type newspapers), and second hand sources (e.g. a different, unsourced tumblr post).

Minor mistakes. Like an incorrect statistic, an exaggerated number, or a omitted detail - something fairly small. Maybe OP just misremembered or forgot about this one thing, but it could be a sign they've made an error or lied about something far more major.

Urgency. Obviously there is a lot of reason for urgency when dealing with crises, but if a post gives you the vibe of go go go there's no time to explain share this give money do it now don't think about it go then OP may not have stopped to check their sources, or even be actively using urgency to mislead you.

And lastly here's a tip: if you're not sure, save the post as a draft. More information might become available later.

Stopping the spread of misinformation is hard. We all want to help and sharing posts feels like a very quick and easy way to do it. But it's also very easy to share the wrong thing by mistake. Try to stop and think.

Source for this post: my own experience. These are things I've picked up over many years of being gullible online. I highly encourage you to take the time to educate yourself about how to stop the spread of misinformation.
