Who would be the best character to point out Feyre, Rhysand and the IC's toxic hypocrisy not just to their faces but in front of all the other High Lords too?

Let's be honest, Feysand and th IC are NOT good people. They love to act like they're supposed "freedom fighters", but don't actually help female Illyrian or other "dreamers" in the Hewn City, they lie, they steal, they manipulate and literally destroy villages and whole courts out of pettiness more than anything else without any regret, even for the innocents caught in between

I really feel SOMEONE needs to call them out, and it needs to be in front of the other High Lords, cause I feel too many are too willing to too easily forgive the NC's bullshit and can get their eyes opened.

Also, let's be honest, just whoever does it against the IC will just result in the IC only gaslighting and making excuses how they're supposedly "in the right"

I am going to be honest... I struggled with picking out which day I wanted to post this for Elucien week. Ultimately, it came down to the simple fact that these two are fated to be together. Forever. And a wedding to signify that bond is so perfectly them. 💛

I have shipped Lucien and Vassa from the moment Feyre said this line in Acowar. The chemistry we see between them in their small moments already has me foaming at the mouth for their story.

I'm sorry, but the ultimatum given to Nesta in ACOSF: Go to the HoW or be dropped off in the human lands.

Dude, please, piss off. Kick her out of Velaris or even the NC, sure. But you do not own Prythian to banish her from it, you absolute prick!

It's clear Nesta is capable of making friends outside of the IC and those not influenced by Feyre. Nesta also has courtly training to survive even as a human, and now she's a fae with unknown power others fear. Yeah, if ol girl wasn't so self-loathing, she would have been just fine outside the IC. Also, Jurian, Vassa are in the human lands. She could have joined Lucien as their second fae housemate.

She had plenty of choices, but only one would ensure consistent access to her powers for them the use like she'sa weapon, so they made sure she felt like it's was only their way or face literal death.

Does anyone else find the Night Court sooooo boring? Like, there's nothing interesting there, no courtly dynamics or anything, just some sexist Illyrians and sexist people in the Court of Nightmares as well, and the whole book is Rhysand throwing his weight around WHEN he feels like it but not doing shit about genuinely important issues (like sexism). Rhysand is smart supposedly, but I've never actually seen him use TACT in this series. He's so powerful that he doesn't need to or whatever. Blah blah blah, Night Court is the biggest and the baddest. But the Autumn Court... Cutthroat, beautiful. It has sons competing for power from an early age, through combat and courtly wiles. Only the strong survive. It produced a Lucien and an Eris, and their complicated brotherly relationship. You have a paranoid, abusive leader. You have the whole LoA + Helion affair, a love child. The man who abandoned his heritage to play courtier to another High Lord. Who is friends with two humans, one who is tied to an evil god. You have Eris, playing the perfect prodigal son while planning a coup right under his father's nose. Both are potential High Lords. You have Gwyn, a part water-nymph having Autumn heritage; we could explore how mixed High Fae are treated as well. Also, I want to know more about how Lucien learned to catch fish with his BARE HANDS??? Finish the line: Autumn court males have fire in their veins and... The way I'd read an entire series on the Autumn Court 😩😩😩😩😩

Saw some great fanart of Lucien introducing the Band of Exiles to Tamlin and… I want that. Tamlin needs friends. I’m surprised Tamlin and Jurian weren’t already bonding over playing double agent with Hybern. Tamlin, Lucien, Vassa, and Jurian. That’s a friend group I wanna see.

Kinda tempted to writ a what-if fic where in Silver Flames, when Nesta is given the "choice" to either get locked up in the HoW or being send to the human lands with the expectation to die there, she actually chooses the human lands, saying death would be better than surrounded by obnoxious hypocritical narcisists.

Feyre and Cassian would right away try to backtrack and just want to forced her to the HoW, only for Rhysand to be, "done" and just winnow her to the border and leave.

Back at the NC Feyre and Cassian would be pissed but Rhys just tells them he'll have eyes (not Azriel(he doesn't and hopes she'll just die and plans to pretend the pragnancy made him forget, even while also lying to Feyre about that)) on Nesta, along with some more manipulation and gaslighting till they just give in.

Nesta meanwhile tries to avoid being seen, but soon get's discovered and has to run from a mob, only to get saved by Lucien and Jurian.

They take her back to their manor where she's just in time to see Vassa transform from bird to woman.

She explains what happened and the BoE is disgusted with Feysand and their groupies and offer Nesta to stay with them and she accepts.

Slowly she gets better as she's treated by respect by the BoE and becomes friends with every member in some way (meeting sassy Lucien, mocking spoiled human lordling sons and daughters they grew up surrounded by with Vassa and talking about SMUT books, training with Jurian on her OWN CHOICE after watching him a few times and being offered to join, and all of them just being sarcastic and teasing each other.

They'd also discuss and ask her opinion on political matters( since, like many say, she was right away more suited and courtier than warrior)

When The IC finds out, first Cassian tries to get her back, only to be denied by Nesta and when he doesn't listen to her, get's send away by BoE.

He keeps coming around but keeps getting send away and Azriel starts spying and constantly reports moments where Nesta's happy and Cassian feels jealous of Lucien and Jurian, Feyre of Vassa for being sister-like with Nesta, and Elain of Vassa and also Nesta for being close to her mate.

Maybe have Eris coming over more often too and flirt with Nesta who flirts back, making Cassian worse.

At some point, Cassian get's told by Lucien he's a worthless matee who doesn't care about Nesta and will always easily put the IC over her, and Nesta confirms that while she likes (or liked?) him, he's not what she needs until he actually changes

She also, since she doesn't need to rely on the NC for protection, tears into Feyre for her I-always-did-everything-while-my-sisters-did-nothing attitude, mentioning all kinds of things she did that Feyre ignored and how she's become a selfish obnoxious hypocrite that flaunts money and laughs at those less fortunate.

Also at Elain for always sitting on her ass and being useless and trying to act like the victim after always having Nesta take care of her and protect her, yet turning her back on her as soon as she needed Elain to take care of her for once. Maybe also tear into her for being a bitch to Lucien and saying he deserves better than her.

In the end ereryone does get better but I don't know how yet.

Me, still trying to understand how people, first degree, think that Azriel will end up with Gwyn, and Elain with Lucien... Sarah J Mass is not a subtle author. It has been clear that Elain & Azriel are going to end up together since volume 3, oh and later Lucien with Vassa of course.

Don't you think it's important that we got a name for the Band of Exiles?

Sjm didn't have to name their little group. She certainly didn't name them just to have Feyre dunk on Lucien about it.

The Inner Circle, the Court of Dreams, the Valkyries... Can you see the pattern?

We got introduced to these groups by their names, and they became friends of the protagonists of the stories. Feyre and Nesta both found their place within these teams.

I don't see why it would be wrong to assume that the Band of Exiles will be Elain's group of closest friends.

The struggle to lift Vassa's curse would hit even more if we had a real friendship between her and Elain. Vassa, being a human woman, would understand Elain's still very human-like sensibilities. At the same time, we know Lucien mentioned her foul mouth and brashness. She might encourage Elain to be more confident and less ladylike, which we already saw a hint of when she laughed at the fuck you from Nesta. She has some fire within her to match her mate. She just needs some space and sunshine to bloom.

And she can bond with Jurian over being into cunty redheads.
