Watched Don Bluth’s Thumbelina recently cause I love fairy tales and they made a lot of changes and additions in the movie that did not happen in the original tale (cause it’s so short) that were very good ideas! They also added some weird stuff tho

7 comfort films :

(Pas de films d’horreur pour une fois 😉 Que de la douceur, de l’amour, des bons sentiments et un peu de magie)

- Orgueil et Préjugés (2005, Joey Wright) (Mon petit chouchou, c’est mon adaptation préférée du roman, avec Keira Knightley et Matthew Macfadyen, et cette BO que j’adore écouter quand j’écris ou quand je lis, c’est mon film cocooning et papillons dans le ventre par excellence.)

- Poucelina (1994, Don Bluth & Gary Goldman) (Pas très connu apparemment, Poucelina fait partie des piliers de mon enfance et est un de mes films favoris. Poucelina est une toute petite jeune fille rousse qui chante comme un ange et qui rêve du grand amour et de la liberté, les chansons sont très belles, une pensée toute particulière pour “Je garde l’espoir” et le prince des fées qui est tellement mignon.)

- Atlandide, l’Empire Perdu (2001, Gary Trousdale & Kirk Wise) (Cette BO du feu de dieu, ces décors sublimes, ces personnages inoubliables, j’aime tout dans l’Atlantide, et ce que j’aime tout particulièrement, c’est que personne ne chante toutes les trente secondes, les méchants sont des vrais méchants et tous les personnages ont une personnalité à part entière.)

- Ever After (1998, And Tennant) ( Aussi connu sous le nom de “À tout jamais, une histoire de Cendrillon” est un film magnifique, qui a été tourné principalement en Dordogne d’ailleurs. Ce film, c’est toute mon enfance, avec un casting incroyable : Drew Barrymore, Anjelica Huston et Dougray Scott, une très belle histoire d’amour avec de l’humour, des brigands, Léonard de Vinci, des tableaux et même un caméo de Jeanne Moreau.)

- Mariage d’une princesse (2004, Gary Marshall) (La suite de “Princesse malgré elle” adaptation d’un roman que je n’ai jamais lu, mais je me souviens le regarder avec mon ami J. au moins une vingtaine de fois, à chaque pyjama party, mettant en scène le duo Chris Pine et la charmante Anne Hathaway, avec la célèbre Julie Andrews, fous rires, cérémonies officielles, chansons girly et scènes d’amour au programme.)

- Le Monde Magique des Leprechauns (1999, John Henderson) (Ce n’est pas vraiment un film, c’est en réalité une mini-série, mais j’ai toujours cru que c’était un film TRES LONG. Je l’ai vu quand j’étais toute petite et qu’il passait tous les étés, il me semble, sur M6. De la magie en Irlande, de l’amour à la Roméo et Juliette, des leprechauns, des fées, une banshee jouée par Whoopi Goldberg dans des forêts et des palais enchanteurs, et même si il a un peu vieilli, je l’aime toujours autant.)

- Penelope (2006, Mark Palansky) (Ah, encore un petit bijou inconnu, avec la très jolie Christina Ricci et James McAvoy quand il était encore jeune et fringant avec sa coupe à la Bieber, une malédiction, de l’amour encore et toujours, de l’humour, une très bonne BO, et une magnifique esthétique au niveau des couleurs et des décors.)
