Disney's whole excuse for these live action remakes being that they're making the female leads better by not having them need a man or whatever (I agree with the sentiment but we KNOW that's not the reason they're remaking these movies) falls flat when they do nothing to defend the women of color casted in these movies. Girlbossify these princesses all you want but it won't change the fact real life women are getting unjustified vitriol thrown their way by culture war weirdos.
