Do you have any initial thoughts on the update? I have so many crossing my mind.

[rubbing my hands deviously before remembering i should put this under the cut so people can avoid in-depth spoilers]

first - between this latest update and The Homewarming Incident, i'm beginning to notice A Pattern of home reacting very quickly when they either see an opportunity to have the spotlight on them, or if they think said spotlight is being taken away from them. consider for a moment how most of wally's dialogue this update was just him speaking on home's behalf. and i mean - the homewarming party was supposed to be for them. it's in the name, after all. they don't seem to have many qualms about sacrificing another neighbor's wellbeing for it, either. i wonder if they were even counting on the neighbors generally not having the Best emotional problem-solving skills to take care of the rest, or on neighbors like eddie or poppy being less likely to speak up if they went just a bit too far in getting them out of the way for a while. it has to be frustrating, being rooted to one spot and only being able to be part of a scene once other people happen to wander by. i imagine it'd be very easy to resort to doing anything to make that happen. i also imagine that you'd get very attached to the one person who always comes back at the end of the day, and that it's very important that it stays that way.... much to think about.

anyways. let's ALSO talk about the ending to the awayfrompryingeyes version of the video! the little bit of the storyteller's conversation that we hear when they stop narrating, the fact that the two people we hear at the end of the audio clearly Sound a lot like sally and frank but are left unidentified in the transcript - i don't think it's a huge reach to guess that this is the first we're hearing of the actual playfellow staff. y'know, voice actors, puppet handlers, etc etc. but then... is that poppy at the end of the video? or is it her actor/handler? if it's the latter, when did poppy leave the scene? where does poppy end and poppy's actor begin?

to elaborate: i've written a lot about how the horror of a puppet's existence in welcome home is that they cannot exist without being maneuvered around by something so much bigger than them (if not in literal size than by virtue of being considered a Full Person whereas a puppet is a simulacrum of a person) that it borders on incomprehensible, right? and also about how i'm not a Huge fan of the idea that things are only starting to go sideways for the neighbors bc they're actually possessed by human souls, but the Idea of possession could work for me in a select few contexts? what if we're seeing a sort of role reversal of the typical possession theory stuff here - instead of humans possessing puppets, it's puppets (making an attempt at) possessing humans, however unconsciously or imperfectly. after all, if you really, truly cannot exist without that aforementioned incomprehensibly vast presence, i suppose your next best bet would be to try to subsume it into yourself somehow.

but this also comes with a cost. it's not wrong to want to exist or to have autonomy. but could you really just end another's existence to get that? would you know what to do with it afterwards? i know i'd have a hard time with it, at least.

...of course poppy could have just ceased to exist temporarily once the door was opened/her actor Presumably got out of costume, but let me have this late night ramble.

i think those are all my thoughts for now! this was a short but Meaty update. maybe i'll have some more in the morning.

iii. Put Us Together

You woke up in Poppy’s pod to two empty beds. You also wake up to two cheery voices chatting it up outside the pod. You groan, rub your eyes, and get up from the bed. You recognize Viva’s hair by the silhouette outside and make your way to the door, which abruptly opens before you can even get close.

“Good morning!” Viva greets you, spinning you by your hands a few times.

“Veev…” You yawn once she stops. You smile gently, greeting her back. “Morning, did I sleep in?”

“Actually, no! You woke up just in time, because me and Poppy just have some stuff to do, and I was just about to inform you that we’ll be away for the morning.” Viva explains with a wide grin.

“Oh? Where to? Maybe I can bring you guys there.” You offer, rolling your shoulders. 

“Nah, we got it! We’ll be back before lunch, so feel free to make yourself at home!” Viva hugs you before pulling away, waving bye along with Poppy. “Byeee!”

You watch them drag each other away, and you're too half-awake to even process anything properly, so you don’t care enough to think about it. You step outside the pod, walking on the grassy plain. When you feel yourself becoming hungry, you place your hand on your stomach and notice something missing. Your guitar. You keep patting yourself rapidly, thinking of where you could’ve left it.

‘Must’ve left it Branch’s,’ you think. ‘I’ll pick it up and maybe get another bowl of menudo.’ You wrap your hair around a branch and swing yourself gradually to the bottom. You unexpectedly land right in front of Floyd.

“Oh.” You say, raising your brows in pleasant surprise. “Hey, Cotton Candy.” 

“Is that my nickname now?” He slightly tilts his head with a smile, crossing his arms.

“Well, you look like one, you know.” You shrug your shoulders with a smirk. “Your hair’s shaped like if it were on a cone.”

He laughs softly. Can his voice even match the sweet you just compared him to? His mouth opens to reply, but your rumbling stomach cuts him off. “Did you just wake up?” He asks, unfurling his arms.

“Ah, yeah…” You awkwardly clear your throat and ruffle your hair a bit. “I was just about to go back to Branch’s bunker.” You explain.

“Oh, I just came from there. Do you want me to come with you?” He motions behind him, his head nudging back in the direction he came from.

“I wouldn’t mind. I need to pick up my guitar anyway, I think I left it there.” You scratch behind your head as you start to follow Floyd, who is beginning to lead the way back to the bunker.

“Ah, I noticed you did.” Floyd looks at you briefly. “I kept it safely after you left, don’t worry.”

There’s an invisible weight that you don’t even notice lifting from your shoulders. Your smile softens as you place a hand on your chest, relieved. “Thanks, Floyd. I kinda felt my heart drop earlier when I didn’t feel my guitar strap.”

He hums, leading you up to the rock again. “Is it important to you?” He looks at you again for a moment before he slides the rug. 

“It was a gift.” You say softly, jumping down the hole. You watch Floyd follow in and place back the rug. “Uhm… I, uh, It means a lot to me. So, I make sure to keep it with me at all times.”

“I guess the party distracted you?” Floyd chuckles, pulling on the lever and having the platform slide down.

You laugh before covering it up with a cough. Floyd looks at you with surprised eyes, which you play off with a quick chuckle. “Ha, yeah… You guys really gave a show last night.” You praise the performance he and his brothers gave.

He chuckles, smiling so softly that his eyes close at that moment. “Thank you.” He says as soon as the platform reaches the ground. “I can say the same about you. Your voice was amazing last night, I was blown away.” He compliments you. Your eyes widen and blink a few times, watching him walk off the platform and further into the bunker.

You don’t notice your cheeks heating up a bit, but you can feel the giddy smile on your face一which you quickly wipe away with a nervous laugh. “You too!” You return the compliment, getting off the platform. “I’ve never heard a voice as gentle as yours, it was beautiful.” You say.

You see him lock up as he picks up a bowl from the counter. You fear you said something wrong, but he turns his neck to look at you with a soft laugh. “Come on, eat something.” He motions with his head for you to come to him.

You walk up to him and get handed a bowl of hot menudo. “Thanks.” You say quietly, grabbing the spoon.

“I’ll get your guitar. Be right back.” You watch him walk away for a bit before you look down at your bowl, eating the menudo quietly with a small smile.

He comes back after a minute, carefully holding your guitar. You quickly swallow the food in your mouth and set the bowl on the counter, rushing to get your guitar back. “Oh my gosh, thank you so much, Cotton Candy.” You say with relief, wearing your guitar again and adjusting the strap so it’s behind you.

When you look up after adjusting your strap, he’s looking at you with a smile.  “You're welcome.” He says softly.

His voice pulls at something inside you again, making you clutch the strap as your eyes take him in. He really is like cotton candy. He’s soft in all ways possible, from the way he looks at you to that gentle smile. You break eye contact when you feel like your lips curve too much, coughing into your fist.

“Yeah, yes… A-anyway, where are your brothers?” You bring back your relaxed, cool smirk. 

“Oh, they told me they’re helping Poppy and Viva prepare lunch,” Floyd said. “Actually, Bruce told me that I should go to you.” He motions a hand to you briefly, and you blink.

“Me? He said to go to me?” You repeat, raising a brow and tilting your head.

“Yeah, he said that I should stay behind and make sure your morning goes smoothly... Then you kind of dropped in front of me.” He chuckles when he looks back at you.

You laugh a bit when you remember what happened this morning. “Ah, sorry if I surprised you.”

“I don’t mind.” He reassures you with a smile, which you briefly return. “Did you enjoy the menudo?”

“Ugh, yes. Your brother has got to drop that recipe.” Your knees bend a bit as you rock your hands in a pleading motion to exaggerate your point. He laughs.

“I don’t think even he knows. His wife made it.”

“You mean that tall vacaytioner?”

“Yeah, that’s her.”

“How do they even make that work?” You squint your eyes in a confused manner, your hands coming up.

Floyd’s eyes widen, and his smile turns into a line. “I don’t… know?” He replies slowly. You two stare at each other, confused, for a bit before breaking out into a laugh.

“Oh, there you two are.” You break into a coughing fit and quickly turn away from the source, collecting yourself.

“Ah, Branch, you guys are back.” Floyd welcomes his brother naturally after he relaxes from his laugh. You turn around to wave once you’ve calmed down too, bringing back your cool, hard rock vibe.

“Uh, yeah! Poppy’s looking for you two. She wants to give a tour around the village before lunch.” Branch scratches behind his ear before motioning for you two to get on the platform.

“Sounds great.” Floyd says, stepping away first. He looks behind to make eye contact with you. “What do you think?”

You hum. “I guess I wouldn’t mind. I didn’t stick around this place long enough.” You shrug, walking up to him and making your way together to Branch.

"Well, get ready for a walk.” Branch comments, pulling the lever again to lift the three of you.

When you leave the bunker, everyone’s waiting outside by the rug. You wave at them, watching Branch walk to Poppy, who whispers something in his ear. You tilt your head, but Viva rushes up to you and grabs your hands.

“Sooo, how was your morning?” She asks with a grin.

“Oh, it was…” You glance at Floyd, but you quickly bring your eyes back to Viva. “It was great. I had a great morning.” You notice him look at you after you reply to Viva, and your head turns to him to give him a cheeky smirk. “Cotton Candy kept me company.” You comment before looking back at your friend.

“Cotton Candy?” She tilts her head. You nudge your head in Floyd’s direction, and Viva follows before she lets out a gasp. “Ohhh.” She turns to you with a wide grin, giggling to herself. “I seeeee.” She leans close to your face with a sly smile.

“Yeah, you could say I had a sweet morning too.” You emphasize ‘sweet’ as a pun to distract yourself from how warm your cheeks feel.

Julie, Sally, and Poppy have an all-girls slumber party every once-in-a-while. Sometimes they invite Wally

Wally and Barnaby have regular sleepovers too, usually in Home. They don't like to leave him out

Frank likes to infodump about butterflies to Wally. It's easy to infodump to him, since he doesn't talk much anyway

Wally can pick up weird bugs off the ground with his own hands because to him, "they're just tiny neighbors who live outside."

Wally's the one everyone goes to whenever they have a problem. Wally doesn't mind listening to them and giving them advise. But sometimes, Wally isn't having the best of days and can't listen to anyone. But he always has Barnaby to go to

Julie's most common stim is flapping her hands

Julie only owns dresses. She doesn't really own pants. She has to borrow from Sally

Sally loves romance novels. She'll usually read them when she's not directing

Wally loves talking about art. He'll mainly ramble on about shapes and perspectives, and the color theory, his most favorite to discuss.

Eddie Dear kisses Frank on the forehead to calm him down whenever he's angry. It always seems to help

Howdy is practicing juggling. you'd think it'd be easier with four arms but... not for Howdy

Barnaby is always trying to get Wally to try new foods, even some Wally doesn't think he'll like. It's not that Barnaby doesn't respect Wally's boundaries, he just wants him to at least try it

The neighbors celebrate Thanksgiving, but they call it something else (Feast Day I suppose?)

Poppy is always nervous for Feast Day because she usually makes desert. Since she's afraid of using kitchen appliances, desert making is usually a two person job, sometimes with Julie and sometimes with Sally

Wally loves Feast Day. He gets to make pumpkin pie for everyone. The problem is that Wally doesn't like stuffing (Julie's usual) cause of all the weird textures. He would still make himself eat it so he wouldn't look rude, even though he would be visibly uncomfortable eating it. Now every Feast Day, Julie makes two stuffing dishes. One for everyone else, and one for Wally, which is a bit more plain. It's currently Wally's favorite Feast Day dish.

Wally ate a flower in Frank's garden one time. It did not go well for either of them.

Julie and Frank like to gossip. Nothing too bad, they just talk about how extra bossy Sally was being or Barnaby telling another bad pun, etc.

Wally likes to put his paintings around the neighborhood, almost as if the buildings are fridges

Julie is afraid of ghosts. Frank usually has to be the one to tell her they're not real. "I bet they don't like to play games," Sally says.

Howdy has all of Wally's food preferences memorized, since Wally never really changes his opinion that much. Plus he likes his hot dogs plain

Eddie Dear and Wally bond over their love of arts and crafts. They sometimes get together and make stuff

Wally is usually the stagehand during Sally's plays. He sometimes plays a role, but he's much more comfortable pulling the curtain or moving the spotlights

Wally actually loves pulling pranks. Barnaby got him into them. Most of the time, Wally's pranks are just misplacing objects where the neighbors didn't leave them (he once hid Sally's script, and Frank's butterfly net). But sometimes he'll feel bad and tell them where their missing object is

Wally and Poppy are very good at sewing. Wally loves making sweaters for everyone when it gets cold. Poppy likes knitting scarves and sometimes crochets little messages (she has a "bless this mess" sign in her home)

Wally has a sensitive stomach and can't eat certain things. There's a correlation between autism and stomach problems, and Wally seems like the type to have them

Whenever they have meetings, they always have them in Home, so Home could also be apart of the discussions

Poppy loves having picnics. It's easier to make sandwiches because in her mind, nothing bad has ever happened to anyone who made a sandwich

Wally loves taking naps. He'll sleep for about an hour during the day everyday. if he doesn't get his nap, he gets so drowsy during the day. If he does this, you'd usually find him sleeping with his head leaning on Barnaby, giving up his long battle of not napping. He was once found facedown in Frank's garden. Frank, of course, was not pleased

In the wake of everything that happened in the last chapter I have been wondering, what does Poppy think about Snape’s behavior? She’s seen him freak out and wait up all night with Harriet so many times at this point, has she caught on? What are her thoughts on the matter?

You know, you're the second reader that took that long moment where she looks quietly at him as an indication of some underlying supposition.

I've put my response under a cut in case people want to preserve their own interpretation/don't want to know the author's take on it:

I didn't have that reading in my own mind, haha :) That moment was her medical professional's concern for this guy who 1) currently looks 3/4 dead 2) is clearly involved in Some Shady Shit based on the number of injuries she routinely sees him suffering. I'm not sure whether she was a member of the Order of the Phoenix, although if Dumbledore sent her off at the end of GoF before Snape revealed his Dark Mark, I assume she wasn't; otherwise, why would he need to dismiss her? I could be remembering this all wrong; it's been a long time and my memory has been eaten by a pack of dogs.

However, I'm operating under the assumption (in my fic; AU auspices etc.) that she is not a member of the Order in 1995, when these scenes are currently taking place. It would make sense for them to have a Healer on hand, but lots of things in HP don't make sense. Snape also dislikes going to see Healers and hates nagging, wants to curl up like a wounded animal in his little den and smoke until his lungs shrivel up like raisins. But he also doesn't give a shit about his health (in fact he enjoys sabotaging himself), and there's his Dark Magic fix, and he and Pomfrey live in such close quarters that she would have figured out his ways long ago just by observation. I also imagine that anyone who willingly becomes the Healer at Hogwarts is not of sound mind, so she's probably her own brand of obsessive weirdo. It's at least how I imagine her.

But she's the medic on duty, and this is a guy she's known for a long time, and he looks like something the Grim Reaper keeps re-checking his notes about to make sure he isn't on the Pick Up Dead Today list. She knows that Snape and Dumbledore get up to things, and she can tell that something is very wrong with Snape just then. She also knows that Snape won't let her help. But he clearly needs help.

So she thinks about this, and then she gives him a Healing potion (knowing he probably won't take it, but she's a Healer, so she does it anyway). Then she goes into her office and she's sad because a student just blew up two other students and they only narrowly averted it because Snape (the corpse-lookalike who won't let her help) is a paranoid potions genius. Then she gets on with writing her notes, because that's useful, honest work.

She doesn't think that Snape's behavior is indicative of anything more than responding to dire necessity. He had this potion ready (he'd been working on it before Harriet even showed up at Hogwarts); the Savior of the Wizarding World was involved in a potentially deadly accident. I imagine that most of the teachers worry about Harriet, so she doesn't see anything odd there.

(If anyone's wondering why he didn't use the potion to help Hermione, the in-world answer would be that he was saving it for the War. But Harriet is more important than the war. Simple logic, he would say.)

Impulse - watch. Simple, practical, but has his own lil flair to it with his logo. Stays on the wrist so he doesn’t have to worry abt other people nabbing it or it getting broken, kinda symbolizes his tendency to play multiple sides to keep himself safe. Also has a day/night cycle, connecting him to Bdubs after double life

Etho - sleek, elegant design. Can be glanced at quickly to see time. Day/night cycle connecting him to Bdubs bc. They cannot be normal about each other. A small sundial bc he’s been around these parts a while and also it just feels like something he would brag about being able to read.

Skizz - forget-me-nots symbolize skizz’s loyalty to his people and his kindness to everyone. Also, as the first to lose a significant amount of time, given as a reminder to. Yknow. Remember him. Cracked after being killed twice by boogeymen in ep 1

Mean Gills:

Martyn - simple, easy to read and glance at, can be clipped to a weapon or tool so he can see it easily, imbued with his status as a follower of the listeners.

Scott - poppy in the middle to symbolize his ties to Jimmy, which keep popping up despite. Everything. A gold heart which is awarded to each of the victors. Scott’s clock originally had chains around it, put there by the Watchers/ higher beings/ whoever to prevent him from messing with his clock, broken immediately bc Scott found them annoying

Nosy Neighbours:

Pearl - locket. Unseen in drawing, but a wolf’s head is carved into the front. Phases of the moon show how much time she has left rather than numbers. A gold heart awarded to each of the victors.

BigB - cookie clock! Lighthearted and fun, shows bigb’s brand a bit, not really intense or complex, showing how bigb tends to be pretty upfront and chill throughout the games

The Clockers:

Cleo - an old clock that matches the aesthetics of the Time Witch from wcsmp. The inner mechanisms are visible to represent how she usually plays with all her cards on the table, and is very upfront with her allegiances and her reasonings etc. elegant and a bit imposing.

Bdubs - a busted-up clock that doesn’t work anymore. Or, well, the inner mechanisms work. It ticks. Nobody can see how much time is left though. Chipped and cracked from the last three games. Blood from first boogey kill.

Scar - an hourglass with a dark oak border. Can’t have a scar clock and not put desert duo in it. Anyways, not only does the sand represent Scar’s permanent ties to the desert, it also is a very clear visual, meaning Scar doesn’t have to worry about accidentally jumbling numbers when reading his time (dyslexia is a bitch)

The Bad Boys:

Joel - Two ruby eyes representing the red that is always in Joel, no matter his colour, as well as acting as a small nod to his wolves in 3rd life. The hands are dagger-shaped, but round at the ends (he is scary but also a wet cat. If you are loyal to him he will not so much as scratch you). Scorched from Bad Boy Actions in ep 1

Jimmy - canary wings going round and round, cyclically. A cage that should open; it has hinges. Jimmy cannot open it yet. (If someone else dies first, he might be able to) also scorched from Bad Boy Actions

Grian - they will not let him forget he is not meant to be there. He has to concentrate to keep his clock at the right time- its hands will spin wildly (sometimes even going backwards, giving him more time) if he doesn’t keep an eye on it. Three hearts to remind him that he created the games. A gold heart awarded to each of the victors. Not shown, but two winged-shapes on hinges close over the clock face to shield it from other’s’ view.

It's Leap Day, so tell me about a leap (a big decision, an impulsive action, a change in life circumstances, etc.) that your blorbo(s) have taken?

Oh!! I thought of something for this!!

Guess what Sleepy, you’re getting more Indigo Wars info.

Indigo Wars opens with the protagonist Violet making two leaps: one a leap of logic, and one a giant change in life circumstances.

First, she sees a note handed off in the city market and immediately jumps to the conclusion that the two people involved are foreign spies. She does have some reasons to make this leap (a recent warning about foreign spies in the city, and one of the people has a heavy accent from the country they’re at war with) but it’s still not a normal leap to make. Regardless, she steals the note and leads the one who received said note on a chase across the city rooftops. It ends with some banter and then she breaks his nose.

Needless to say, he is NOT a foreign spy. He is a member of the royal family of her country, who her older brother is in charge of protecting. Oops.

And then the second leap! She’s 19 years old and has been living at a safe house for her type of magic user. She and her sisters (Rose and Poppy) are aging out of the orphanage side of the safe house and are trying to find means to support themselves and gain independence. They (along with Violet’s BFF Elliott and another girl named Myra) are chosen to leave the safe house and move to the Royal Keep to use their magic to advise the king. It’s mostly a PR move bc their magic is misunderstood and feared by the general public, so the king can go “look they’re just like us,” but they can actually help the war effort in different ways.

So she goes from living in a very relaxed orphanage full of children where she’s one of the oldest, one of the most experienced, one of the most trusted people there, to living in the royal household where she knows like 5 people (including the guy whose nose she broke), she never knows what’s going on, and no one believes what she tells them. She also has to start dressing like a proper lady and learn how to navigate the social politics of upper society, which are both entirely new to her, so it’s a lot of changes at once and she hates it.

Anyways, thank you for the ask! I’ve missed rambling about Indigo Wars.

Anyone here into Trolls (the DreamWorks franchise)?

Because I made a Trollsona and I wanted to share him with you guys! His name is my real name so I erased it from these images.

This is his normal coloration (he's a Rainbow Troll so he has hidden true colors)

This is his gray form (yep...he goes gray for a while...unfortunately)

And here's his true colors design! He's got very bright, vibrant, fiery true colors!

He's a Pop Troll, but he has ears that are more triangular shaped, and they're also very sensitive, able to pick up on every little sound...so parties aren't his thing. He's also got a tail because I wanted to make him different in appearance, and I saw some fanfics where the Trolls had tails and I thought, "Hey, let's do that!" His tail actually acts as the biggest indicator of his emotions because he's the shy type and doesn't talk a lot, but his tail emotes like both dog and cat tails do (so, wagging when excited, twitching when irritated, etc.)

I know this isn't Pokémon related, but I just wanted to share this with you guys because I've recently gotten back into the Trolls franchise BIG TIME...seriously I think it's becoming yet ANOTHER special interest 😅. But it has good music and I love music and singing, and also Branch is the best character, nothing can change my mind about that. He's been my favorite character since the first movie came out and he still reigns supreme on my favorite Trolls character list to this day, and I just recently developed a headcanon that he's autistic (Branch has a lot of autistic traits, enough for someone on YouTube to make six videos about it, and still have some stuff they didn't cover 😅). I also headcanon Poppy as ADHD and I know that's a fairly common one, I see it a lot. Anyway, I'm rambling about headcanons again so I'm gonna stop before it gets out of hand 😅

I hope you guys like my Trollsona! I certainly had a lot of fun creating him! I'll most likely write stories using him, but they won't be posted because my AO3 is strictly for posting my Pokémon stories, it literally says so on my profile page on there. (Yeah, I made that rule for myself, but I'm not breaking it!)

Aha!! A letter! Technically, sent much earlier ago, but I didn't see it while I was on my phone... and it's easier to type now that I'm on the computer to answer, anyways!

As for which OC to answer with... Well, I've only "properly" introduced 2 characters of mine on tumblr (properly being up to debate, arguably, I haven't "properly" introduced anybody, nor do I talk about them much... ah!), so, I'll answer these for Rook and Viktor at once. They come in a package set!

🎻 VIOLIN — does your oc play any instruments? what is their skill level (beginner/intermediate/advanced/virtuoso/etc)?

Rook plays the double bass, primarily because i find the contrast between a really small person and a really big instrument to be really funny. I'd say he's... probably, around intermediate level? High beginner/low intermediate, maybe took a couple classes or so before dropping it all together. He's not really interested in playing music, but I think if you'd give him sheet music and a week he'd be able to competently play a song.

Viktor... would not have had the opportunity to learn how to play any instruments. If she could, though... Ah, that's tough. I primarily associate her with more electric and poppy instruments in my head, even though realistically, she probably wouldn't play that. A... Maybe a wind instrument? She'd probably shred hard on a recorder - only slightly a joke, I really think she'd find it kinda fun.

HONORABLE MENTIONS For OCs whom i haven't talked about on tumblr: Neil plays the piano! This is one of his primary character traits, and how he makes a living in general. Virtuoso...? I don't think so. But very skilled, at the very least.

For Rook... He values family a lot. "Family" being more of a broader term for him, because through his lens, all of A Corp. is his family, so to speak. Thus, their most important values become his most important values, and so he values the upholding of the natural flow of the City.

Viktor's most important person, of course, is herself ✨! Ah, not entirely a joke - technically, what's been most important to her is faraway quest for revenge... But if she didn't keep herself as the most important person in her life, she'd probably be dead by now. 'Tis the way of the City, 'ts all it is.

HONORABLE MENTIONS For OCs whom i haven't talked about on tumblr: Piro- well, I've talked about Piro on tumblr. Before. Just. Not enough, i feel. Piro's most important person is her brother. Yes, he's dead. This causes No conflicts at all.

🤔 THINKING FACE — what are some of your oc's quirks/mannerisms?

Probably a bit more apparent in post-ruina (for reasons ??? to explain), but Rook actually fiddles around with his wrists and palms a lot. Twisting his bracelets around his wrist, massaging his hand, stuff like that.

Viktor usually keeps her left arm close to her, or her left hand in her pocket. This has a reasonable explanation, of course - she always keeps her axe with her, in a Raskolnikov manner of carrying it.

winona grew up in some of the worst circumstances and environment. both of her parents were addicts and the most paternal and maternal love or affection that she had was from her siblings. her brother was the person that would protect them from outside forces and sometimes the shaky, almost interactions with their parents. her father disappeared from their lives when she was only 9 years old. this part of her life is mostly blurs of the past. some things she remembers, but questions whether it actually happened or something that she just imagined. something that her young mind had just thought of and went with.

her mother overdosed when she was a month away from her thirteenth birthday. she can't place everything that happened that day, but she remembers being pulled from her sister and crying in the back of some old car that she can't remember. what she does remember was how her mother looked before they had carted her off and to this day it is an image that positively haunts her and keeps her up some nights. she was put in the foster system with her sister, but they didn't remain together. she remembers the last look they shared, how she had tried to smile, how their fingers had slowly drifted apart. it was the last time she saw her.

winona was fostered a year later to ronald and maryjane murdoch. she was promptly renamed for the sake of their family, and she put no fight in keeping her name. what did she need it for anyway? she didn't have much, just a handful of belongings. she had a family picture that was tattered and worn, but she kept it well hidden. she had another keepsake from the balor portion of her life, a notebook that her sister and herself had written in, sometimes to each other and others just random notes about things. the third item, was something she'd stolen from her brother's room, one of his thick, worn blankets. it was not something glamourous or meaningful, but to anyone but her. it was something he'd wrapped her in a number of times. so, it had been dear to her alone.

she took to farm life like a fish took to water. she'd been used to struggling with her parents and relying on her older brother. farm life was a refreshing change of pace. there was schedules, organization and rules. most children would have abhorred the structure and control of such a situation. she thrived and blossomed under the confines that she was put in. structure was new, rules were important, and she felt a kind of peace that she had never felt before in her life. one night she'd cried, not out of sorrow or pain, but something infinitely more beautiful, happiness. she was happy and loved something she had only felt a fraction of before. she felt safe more than anything else and it made her happy.

she lived and prospered there for years. eventually there came a time when she would "age out" so to speak and they'd offered her something extraordinary. a choice. they didn't pressure or guilt her about the fact that they'd raised her or kept her. they'd simply given her an out, if she'd wanted it. and, she didn't. she'd realized sometime between sixteen and seventeen that she wasn't going to leave, she just hadn't said or acted on that knowledge. a month before her eighteenth birthday they'd given her another gift, a legal adoption. from that point on, she'd remained on the farm.

it was shortly after she turned nineteen where she met adam. they hadn't gotten along, exactly. he was different than her in a number of ways. he didn't like the rules, the structure, the schedules. he lived on another farm a fifteen-minute walk away. she knew that because he told her EVERY SINGLE TIME, he had to make that journey. she supposed that she kind of fell in love with him a little bit. she'd told herself that she wouldn't fall for it, the cheeky smile, the jokes and the outlandish way he would always try to get her to break the rules. eventually, she realized he loved her, too. always had, apparently.

it was the day of her wedding to adam where her world went, as they say, to hell in a handbasket. the farm was for all intents and purposes safe from certain events that seemingly would come up, but not this. it spread like wildfire over the small town, and she was for all intents and purposes just a girl. let it not be said that ronnie murdoch was a weak man. he got a handful out of there before having to shoot his wife in the face. her own eyes had teared up, but ronnies hadn't. she'd known that look on his face, though, determination. he'd grieve her later, winnie had surmised. it was there that her love for her dad had tripled completely. not because of what he didn't do, but what he did.

eighteen people lived on the farm for the next few years. and everyone had their jobs and pulled their weight. her dad ran the farm settlement for a while until adam had to take over. it wasn't easy, but he finally succumbed to everything that happened. with his wife, with the world, he was too fractured. she caught him late one night, when she'd been helping agatha with the gates and alarms, he was talking to himself, yelling at something she couldn't see. the following week he'd turned two other survivors before they were taken out. then it was fifteen. it had hit winona real hard, it had been the last of her parents and now the farm was her responsibility. she had passed that onto adam and she'd pay for that a year later.

the farm was where she had felt safe and so she hadn't ever tried to leave before or after the outbreak. there was a part of her that was content on dying at the farm as well. she was almost twenty-four then before it happened, the thing she never expected, but should have. adam sold them out, literally. that was the funny thing, she'd rationalize later, that it wasn't the outbreak that destroyed the farm. it was people. she remembered the hard metal pressed to her head while they picked her farm clean of every resource. the inside and the outside. the animals, the crops, every ounce of anything she had ever loved. when they finished, they let them in. it wasn't enough that they had to strip her home, they had to destroy it.

she ran, silently as she could. she usually wasn't the one doing the thinking, the planning, she just cared for things. whether it was the animals or the survivors, she had just been nurturing. now, though, with them on their heels, she couldn't be. she would kill adam if she ever saw him again. feed him to them piece by piece, if nothing else, she swore that to herself. there was only four of them now, running for their lives. it was a long few months before she found the mall, with the two survivors with her.

Okay headcanon dump, mostly character dynamics and obvious favouritism, will put under a cut so i dont drown someone in length if they dont wanna scroll-

First off with the found family / actual family- Out the way with the stupidly obvious ones, Razzle and Dazzle are brothers, Goob and Scraps are siblings, Toodles is Rodger's daughter Now for headcanons and not canons - Toodles is also Teagan's daughter, but she's not as active of a parent as Rodger Sprout sees Toodles as his little sister and cares for her when Rodger, Teagan and Glisten aren't around- Toodles thinks Sprout is just like that to everyone and looks up to him (incorrect buzzer) Rodger and Glisten are brothers, and by extension Glisten is Toodles really cool awesome uncle she loves to pieces bc hes cool and awesome (i also really really dig the hc of him being a teacase kid bc it makes so much sense but its not my personal take) Shrimpo and Toodles have a kinda reciprocated found siblings dynamic and Teagan will be a protective mom-like figure to him in given situations Shelly and Astro are found siblings And Sprout and Vee also feel very vaguely like a subgenre of found siblings, not sure yet tho

Now for the found family in a kissing way- Cosmo and Sprout are so canon trust me trust me trust me,,,,,, So are Boxten and Glisten, Boxten's the 'guy that shows up during family gatherings but doesnt do anything' kinda guy to Toodles, but he gave her food once so she has general positive view on him Teagan and Rodger holding hands and Rodger giving that face, that damn face

Now onto non-family stuff- Sprout as a character I think is very straight-forward, he has favourites, and those favourites are Cosmo, Toodles and Dandy- He has CRAZY trust and biology with Cosmo, he and Dandy are the same level of messed up so they have a strong trust and also get along well, and he just likes Toodles cuz of all the time he's spent with kids in gardenview he's just grown to like them- Some of his non-faves that he still trusts and smiles genuinely at are Shelly and Astro but he won't tell them the sauce (he doesn't tell Toodles either but he wouldn't be shitting himself if she saw him murder someone unlike those two) Goob is just lovely, he's just, he really just loves everyone and everything and I think it's nice Shrimpo fucking hates everyone but he's tolerant of people who are tolerant to him (toodles, teagan, goob, glisten, finn, i would put sprout but just cuz theyre shoved into the same sibling roll doesn't mean they wont attack on sight, which they do, they attack on sight) Sprout would dropkick Shrimpo, Gigi and Finn if given the chance (which is on sight with shrimpo) and also Dandy but in an affectionate way Might add more to this eventually

Just character stuff hooray!!!! Shelly didn't introduce Cosmo and Sprout, she did in the Dandy's World cartoon, but their alive, toon counterparts were made with one another in mind from the start- Cosmo made a little after Sprout- She's still good friends with both of them though Sprout knows.

Banana, Strawberry, and Nutella Sandwich

SO! From one of my fics, My School's Local Mafia Boss, in chapter 6: Festering A Neglected Friendship, Jason gets Tim to try Nutella. Then Tim says that it would be even better if strawberries and bananas were added. Here's the scene:

“Chocolatey, hazelnutty, a good medley of the two.” Tim kept chewing with his eyes closed. “Sweet, sweeter than what I’m used to, but not to the point that I want to gag.”

“Go on,” Jason prompted.

“Texture is smooth and… thick? I can’t think of the word. But it goes well with bread.” Tim finally opened his eyes. “It would be good with strawberries too. Maybe bananas? You should ask Alfred to make a strawberry, banana, Nutella sandwich next time.”

Jason widened his eyes. “Tim,” he said, reaching a hand over the table and putting it on his shoulder. “You are a genius.”

That has been lingering in my mind ever since I wrote it. So, I decided to try it out for myself since I had never tried it before. And I'm a sandwich enthusiast. My dad and I make the wackiest sandwiches. Under the hand of my sandwich mentor (my dad), I have made the following sandwiches before:

Cheese and lettuce

Mayo and lettuce

Fish w a bunch of diff sauces (not by choice, it's all my dad's fault)

A chicken sandwich with all the types of sauces combined. (Ketchup, ranch, sri racha, mayo, bbq, spicy peri peri, and sumth else i forgot)

Chicken korma (it was gonna go to waste so my dad said to make sandwiches out of it)

Nutella and butter (toasted)

Nutella and several types of jams (plum, strawberry, raspberry, etc. All of them seperately dw)

It's like- a mixture of sweet with a poppy flavor (strawberries), the second natural sweetness (bananas), and the rich and chocolatey sweetness of nutella (chocolate). My aunt pointed out that it would be better slightly toasted and I agree cuz then you could butter the bread a little bit too and it won't be so... uh, can't think of the word, but it falls apart easy.

I let my whole family have a bite and FU- THE BANANAA AND STRAWBEREY FELL DON MY OHEONA

It's all good now, I wiped the screen, can't say the same for my dress though. That's stained.

Anyways, my fam liked it. Except for my two sisters who are the oldest after me and my uncle and aunt and cousin. My aunt, uncle didn't try it cuz it was too sweet for them and my cousin's 4 and I'm not getting her toddler hands of destruction on my sandwich. My sisters are stupid and don't like fruit. My youngest sis is in my good book though, she tried it and said that she liked it. She deserves a hug cuz she appreciates my hardwork.

hi i watched the new my little pony movie and it was... pretty good! it was very cute, i like the new cast a lot, there were some nice heartfelt moments that had some surprising depth, all the locations were really pretty to look at, the poppy musical numbers were fun, the character animation is really lively. it's a solid little fantasy adventure flick for kids. i do have mixed feelings about the story though. here are some casual-ish thoughts. (i posted some of this on twitter last night but i have even more thoughts now. i'm sorry. i'm so sorry)

okay so, i liked it a lot when it was just letting the new characters play off each other, but unfortunately my fears came true and almost the entire movie is laser focused on the oversimplified extremely on-the-nose trump era racism allegory plot. i do have to cut it some slack for their good intentions, and this is a 90 minute animated movie for 5-year-olds, so there's only so much they can do. it did also have a bit more nuance than i expected at points. (it's more nuanced than zootopia, for what it's worth. not that that's hard.) and hell, friendship is magic also screwed up its attempts at similar topics, and y'all know how much i still love that show. so it's not like i hate this movie. but it has such an oversimplified "we should all be friends!" take on real issues, and it frustrates me that it completely dominates the film, being the main focus of almost every single scene

there's some interesting stuff where they show how those in power are stoking peoples' fears to maintain their own power. like the big factory in the earth pony town is essentially an arms manufacturer capitalizing on the fear of outsiders, the cops mainly exist to uphold the laws segregating the ponies, the pegasus royal family pretends they still have the ability to fly and this lie seems to be the only reason they're in power (the queen literally gets arrested the second the truth comes out lol). but then they all just kind of... see the error of their ways shortly after meeting other types of pony, and there are no repercussions? not saying this toy commercial cartoon for little girls needs to fuckin kill the bad guys or throw them in jail or whatever, but we don't even get like a "they made them turn the arms factory into something else" type resolution, and no one even really acknowledges that these characters did anything wrong. no one is considered an oppressor, the movie takes for granted that these people in power who derive their power from bigotry were just misguided, and that they'll totally change their beliefs as soon as they're presented with new information. society is fundamentally unjust, but none of the individuals maintaining that unjust status quo are at fault for doing so

i also don't know if it's a good or bad thing that there's no explanation for why the ponies hate each other now. like on the one hand at least there's no historical backstory that inadvertently justifies the prejudices (like zootopia and its story about how the predators used to eat the prey). but on the other hand... how the hell did they get from g4 to here in the intervening centuries? at my most uncharitable it feels like this whole story about how equestria used to be this land where everyone got along and now everyone is divided is a heavy-handed metaphor for The Sudden Division Of America In The Trump Era as it's perceived by a lot of liberals. history didn't logically lead us to this point, no one is really at fault, everyone just arbitrarily started hating each other at some point and we just all need to put that aside and get along again. it's almost the FiM episode about how the cowboys and the natives should just learn to share all over again. (again: i will admit this is an uncharitable read of the film)

(sidebar with BIG SPOILERS: the very end also really bugged me, but that's more just a personal taste thing. in the leadup to g5 i was excited to see them make an earth pony the protagonist. i thought that was a nice change of pace after nine seasons of twilight. but then in the end of the movie, after sunny delivers the moral, she's magically turned into an alicorn... like oh we're just doing that again huh. okay. it also doesn't really gel with this story where the different types of pony are being used for a racism/xenophobia allegory)

i feel a little bad hyper-focusing on the way the allegory falls apart like this, but like. the allegory is the entire fucking movie lol. they are constantly talking about it in every scene, the first song mentions "building a wall," the main antagonist (who may or may not be intended to evoke trump???) manipulates the earth ponies' prejudices to make them all go full fascist, etc. it is not subtle. of course, this story isn't ALL bad - the adventures along the way were fun, i was relieved when everyone realized that the macguffin wouldn't magically make everyone get along again (although realizing this DOES make the macguffin restore everyone's magic which seems to mostly fix everything, so... lol), and a message about looking past stereotypes and misinformation to befriend people who are different from you definitely isn't a bad one for a kids' film. and obviously a story with this target demographic is ALWAYS going to have to simplify reality a bit. it's just extremely obvious that they wanted to go for a nuanced topical political story that would surprise the parents in the audience and maybe teach kids a thing or two, and it turned out messy

but again, i liked the characters. it was nice to look at. it was cute. i'll gladly watch a new show with these characters. i hope the inevitable show focuses less on this political allegory though lol

anyway there's a shot of fluttershy and rainbow dash in the opening scene so 10/10

❤️ RUBY ANDERSON - she’s a supportive girl. she is always there for her friends when the right time calls for it. we can often see her being supportive of violet’s channel (at least in the earlier episodes), her working hard to complete group projects, her complimenting their friends, her bringing them up from their worst moments and more. some of my favourite scenes of ruby being supportive is definitely in episode three when poppy was showing her music to the a’s. you can see ruby excitedly standing there with her thumbs up for poppy. another great scene is ofc in episodes five and six when she immediately dumps the boy she was interested in just to go comfort skyler, because she knew she needed it. i also love how she was supportive of bella’s feelings and was quick to defend them. she truly cared for her roommate and was rightfully upset to see her go. the group as a whole is usually supportive of each other and each other’s decisions, but i have noticed a lot of that hype is channeled through Ruby’s support

🧡POPPY ROWAN - she’s a dedicated, passionate artist. poppy definitely has a personality, i just don’t think it’s as prominent as the other girls. poppy doesn’t usually get the spotlight (other than in her two respective episodes) and she doesn’t usually get into drama. i noticed she’s usually in the background or remains neutral during drama. so we really don’t get to see sides of her like we do with violet, ruby, or jade. but she’s still really sweet! she’s a total goofball, loves to be silly and is clearly close with sunny. she dedicates her time to her music, a clear fixation. she relies on music for comfort and to express her feelings and emotions. when feeling homesick, she found comfort in the sounds of the waves from her home. when excited, she loves to pay hard attention to her music, and just simply channels all creativity into that. it’s not that “being a dj” is her only personality trait, it’s the time, effort, love, creativity and passion that is part of her personality, and part of anyone ever for that matter!

💛SUNNY MADISON - she’s the sweetest friend. sunny is always there for those she loves, no matter what. a perfect example would be w/ violet. she grew up w/ violet! they are best friends! seeing violet attempt to drift away for her was an obvious stab at sunny’s heart. and while i wish the drama lasted a bit longer and not get resolved off screen, it’s clear that sunny still loves violet & they worked past those problems together. she is seen hyping violet up, supporting her vlog, bringing up past memories, etc. even when violet had wrongfully exploited bella, sunny still remained loyal to violet because of how much she cares for her. another perfect example would be with amaya. amaya was the new girl, and came at the wrong time. she did absolutely nothing wrong and sunny knew this. on the other hand, the other girls’ heads were clouded with judgment because they had just lost their very best friend. sunny knew she had to be their for amaya. she’s caring that way! she welcomed amaya, & immediately grabbed her hand when first walking in to introduce her to the girls.

💚JADE HUNTER - she’s a loyal defender. i figured she wouldn’t just be some mean girl who had this cold, hard exterior for no reason. luckily, we get to see a soft, goofy, lovable side with jade. she’s emotional. she’s dependent on positive energy & comfort. she gets these through doing what she loves & caring for who she loves. her being a loyal defender is clearly seen in episodes 5-9. she was defending ruby & skyler when yelling at colin. when bella was leaving, she was quick to be upset. that’s her girl & she was no longer going to be there! even though bella didn’t fully listen to jade, she didn’t waste any time blaming bella. she immediately was filled w/ powerful emotions. she wrongfully took them out on amaya, which had reason, but wasn’t right. she ended up apologizing & grew from it/developed. same with the violet situation. violet did something wrong, and it filled jade with powerful emotions. what jade did was wrong, even with good intentions. but in the end, it got resolved and they moved on from it. development!

💙SKYLER BRADSHAW - her emotions are powerful. i often hear talk about how emotions and feelings are lame. “get your head out of the clouds & come back to reality.” statements like that are hurtful, and i can 100% imagine them being hurtful to skyler. she takes a lot of things personally. she didn’t know how exactly to feel when she found out colin and her were no longer a couple. her thoughts were all over the place, & it took the help of a friend to bring her back to her senses. skyler is more than just “colin’s girlfriend”. even though she’s shy, she’s got big talent. it’s like ruby and even skyler herself said... she may not talk a lot, but she loves to let her artwork speak for itself. and she clearly channels all of her emotions and feelings into her artwork. so these creations speak a thousand words. she’s always the mutual one, taking emotions and thoughts into consideration. never picking sides, always being reasonable and rational. she’s not just the shy girl. she is arguably one of the most mature girls in the group!

💜VIOLET WILLOW - she is outspoken, loud & proud. i will confidently say that she’s been doing better since her dev. arc... she was always looking to record this n that, only ever talk about her vlog, ignore others feelings & just wanted to focus on her channel. focusing on what you’re passionate about isn’t wrong! it’s abt how you handle it! she was shown the cold, hard truth in episode 11. she had to experience a similar pain that bella was feeling to understand what she did wrong. and ever since then, she hasnt really started any drama or been involved in any! she definitely is a passionate girl. it’s good to be outspoken! it’s good to put your thoughts to words for the public to hear! she just wants to have fun as an entertainer & share school stories w/ her audience. needing a friend to bring you back to your senses isnt always bad! it’s the development that counts! she just wants to enjoy her time with her friends! i do want to point out that scene in the recent episode (15) where she asked amaya before posting the video of her dancing.

💗BELLA PARKER - she’s an impulsive, hard worker. bella likes to work hard & get the job done. this can be seen in episodes where she’s trying to complete school tasks or help her friends with their situations. she also clearly puts effort into friends! she stopped everything during the escape room just to have a fun moment to cheer jade & her friends up. when she knows what she wants, she goes for it. even if it takes a little debating, she will go for what she is passionate abt. this is seen in episode 7, and is unfortunately at the expense of her space at RH. yes, she broke a rule. yes, that is technically wrong. but the rule was sort of dumb, and she rightfully applied for that internship with her idol. i, too, would do just about anything to get a chance to work with my favourite celeb! honestly, bella was gone too soon, especially considering how many episodes there are. it’s all just truth anyway. she’s a supportive, caring, goofy, impulsive, hard worker who honestly means nothing but the best!

🤍AMAYA RAINE - she isn’t afraid to stand out and show some spirit. amaya is definitely a feeler. she feels things at a deep level and just wants to make a significance at her dream school. she unfortunately entered at the wrong time, but was luckily able to work hard to solve the problems. even though she was filled with negative emotions about the drama, she still found ways to be positive, whether it was by trying her best to fit in and work with the girls on their project, she tried her best. and in the end, succeeded! it seems she likes to take the lead during some things, but definitely isnt someone who fully picks sides during conflict, especially when it has nothing to do with her. like skyler, she is someone remains mutual and can see both sides of an argument... sort of in a diplomatic way perhaps? she’s obviously a strong girl who lets her emotions take full power, and she is definitely a bold character. i really hope we can see more of her personality develop in these final episodes and see how bold she truly is!

The right answer would be that it’s a joint decision, but surprisingly enough, it was Cyrus! It was him because Poppy wanted to give Cyrus time to think and didn’t want to push him. I mean, the two had a showdown and broke down everything Cyrus stood for and built from the ground soOOOO

SOME BACKSTORY LORE TO ADD: (im so sorry its so long, skip to number 2 if you don’t want to read this–)

After defeating and capturing Giratina, Poppy (with Cynthia) leaves the distortion world and Cyrus himself is left in the alternate dimension since he says it’s almost “jail” enough if it’s some kind of punishment for his own deeds. Poppy points out that the MasterBall he used to capture Giratina was the one Cyrus gave him, reminding Cyrus that he gave it to him as “a promise to meet again.” So Poppy releases Giratina (although still bound to the ball) and places it in Cyrus’ hand. Poppy asks Giratina to take care of Cyrus for him (so right here, Cyrus both has Poppy’s Giratina and his scarf in the lonely distortion world). 

Cyrus stays in the distortion world (surviving because of the whole time and space doesn’t exist there) and Poppy visits every now and then! Cyrus, at the beginning, usually started hiding from Poppy in hopes that he wouldn’t find him there, but Giratina would always either pick up Cyrus and drop him to Poppy/ Giratina would pop up to Cyrus with Poppy riding on its back. Sooner or later after a few visits, Cyrus really starts anticipating these visits. Instead of hiding for the purpose of really being hidden away, he starts hiding almost playfully to challenge Poppy into finding him himself (without Giratina’s help) The one time this happens prolly creates some romantic tension when Poppy does find him HEEHDGHGHJD

The next visit is a bit tense on Cyrus’ side because Poppy is late/hasn’t visited in awhile. He starts thinking bad things, how his emotions have made him soft and is now waiting for the guy who tore him down both on the outside and inside. But at the same time, he’s a bit sad that he’s not visiting, saying that it might be better if that oaf forgot him, like how he forgets everything else…Poppy does arrive! Poppy questions why Cyrus looks so miserable, and much to his embarrassment, openly admits that yes, he did miss him and was wondering if he abandoned/ever coming back TENDER MOMENT CHOO CHOO Poppy offers, once again, for Cyrus to leave with him and he replies that he’s still not ready (still burdened with unnecessary feelings HJSGJSH)

“Not ready….for what?”

CYRUS DOESN’T SPECIFY……but we fuckin know its not just about being ready to face the world again but its also hes nOT READY TO ADMIT HIS GROWING FEELINGS WAHSGJHJEUHJSDH [EXPLODES]

First official date, huh? Both weren’t a fan of the cold, and Poppy wanted to visit Cyrus’ hometown so they went around the Sunyshore area! Cyrus was still too embarrassed/ashamed to return to his hometown, so they settled for a date at  the Valor Lakefront. It was calm, had a seven-star restaurant, and was perfect for their slow pace!!

They enjoyed their meal and each other’s company, and at some point encountered a trainer who recognised Poppy and wanted to battle him! Poppy wanted to decline at first since it would be interrupting their date, but another trainer showed up and offered a double battle!! This was probably the first time they battled together as a pair, too :^DDD At the end of the day, they enjoyed the beachfront and watched the sunset together before reserving a room to sleep in at Hotel Grand Lake <3 

3. What was their first kiss like?

OK IM CONTINUING FROM THE LORE DUMP ABOVE: At some point, Cyrus actually comes out himself (LMAO get it) and Poppy is bout to enter the portal through turnback cave that you can access in sendoff spring, but sees someone already there AND ITS CYRUS WITH GIRATINA AND SHAYMIN HWOAHWAOAWH

Poppy sees Cyrus smile, enjoying himself with the two Pokémon’s company, literally drops everything, running to tackle hug him. OH THE TYPICAL ANIME FLOWERS RISE FROM THE IMPACT AND THEYRE ON THE MEADOW NOW HJGJHHJHJFG

Cyrus is obviously surprised that Poppy was there, telling him to get off because he’s heavy. Poppy is just kinda grinning cockily like “oh sorry I wasn’t thinking, anyway wow ur here u did it!!” kinda thing and Cyrus admits that he thought things through well enough and was confident to “come out” (aha–)

POPPY ACCIDENTALLY SEES THIS AS “COMING OUT TO HIM” AND KISSES HIM WHJHJDGHJASJA Cyrus is shocked but really likes the kiss!!! buT THEN HES LIKE
