And by proxy of this flashback talking about his disrespect - they never bring up his attire.#meaning he is likely in some kind of Jiang Purple.#Continuity wise it really feels like this scene should have been *before* the burial mounds.#I understand why it's post - we need to build up on the mystery of how he became the YLLZ.#But also his personality feels way more 'pre-burial mounds WWX'. I think this was probably a 'I don't want to kill my darling' scene.#(The Phoenix mountain flashback is a lot of people's 'darling'. I am knowingly putting myself in the line of fire here).#I'm willingly putting him in Wen Qing's borrowed cloak and assuming people take him wearing it as like...a war trophy.#Historians will revise this moment later on but for now he *is* a hero of that war.

forgive me if you've been asked this before or if its annoying, but how did you learn to use colored pencils like that? your art is so special to me.
ty :) I took an art class for a few years where our teacher had us buy prismacolor pencils as one of the art supplies and had us use them kinda like paints, pressing down hard right away and blending the colors together. its not how youre supposed to use them she was just trying to teach us to use color and ig this was more to the point. I picked them up again years after i stopped going to that class just bc they were there and i wanted to play around w them a bit and ended up actually enjoying it when doing it on my own terms lol
#it was a weird class#it was just this russian lady doing private lessons in her house that my mom learned about somehow#I did NOT like those classes all we did was still life and they were hours long which is esp rough when im in high school and busy#and she wanted us to stand while working the whole time bc tradition i guess?#she did allow me to work sitting but thought i was lazy for it. idk dude i dont want to exhaust myself fast for no reason#standing is a lot more tiring than walking#i def did still benefit from those classes just from learning to accurately draw from life#did not like the teacher tho#on one hand shed paid for the art supplies for kids whos families were too poor to (and these are nice expensive supplies)#which is very nice#but on the other she was very homophobic and open about it#like when they legalized gay marriage she went on a rant about how horrible it is that they can adopt kids now#and also kind of racist#she was telling me how she got blocked from a facebook group bc she made a post asking if she could speak to a white person#and she didnt realize she was posting that publicly she thought it was a private message to the group owner#im honestly still not sure i heard/understood her correctly bc it was so bizzare and the only time i ever remember her being racist#she talked abt it like she genuienly was unaware it was racist#she described it as a misunderstanding bc she accidentally posted it publicly instead of privately#like it wouldnt have been racist to ask that at all#also one time she talked about how she saw demons in her home once#also she doesnt vaccinate her kids bc of microchips#she was like a walking russian stereotype lol#anyway heres some ink the artist lore

#Kat and Nia and their multiverse of madness#first rule of interacting with Nia: don’t suggest a dark/whumpy/extremely angsty concept to them#they’ll take it and run a marathon with it and next thing you know their own ideas are making them cry#this is just what happens when I start developing an OC during a rough time in my life#happens every time. guess who came up with Summiya’s fall from grace after their college application fell through??#and since Summiya has a more or less completed storyline. it’s now someone else’s turn#namely Jia’s. also Sunat’s but. mostly Jia’s. Sunat is more angst than whump and I’m craving PAIN#I’ve been frothing at the mouth thinking about Jia all day#just.. imagine how terrified she must have been when she was brought before Jusamah. when he said that he’d make her talk one way or another#and if she doesn’t want to obey and confess willingly… something else can be arranged#how her fear got even worse when she was dragged into the palace dungeons. when she saw the whipping post#begging for mercy as she was stripped and tied. swearing on her life that she doesn’t know anything. that she’s innocent#rambling incoherently right up until the first hit lands. after that it’s just screams and sobs and barely audible ‘I don’t know’s#all the while she’s yelled at by a man three times her age who refuses to believe that she truly doesn’t know anything#and she doesn’t. all she did was point Aiza in a direction. she has no proof she even went in it#I don’t want to get to graphic here but let’s just say I read an article on whipping and it’s.. it’s bad#the aftermath is brutal and bloody and passing out from the pain would be a mercy#and afterwards… I do think someone is called to tend to her so she doesn’t bleed to death before they can get a confession out of her#and that person is kind. if a little detached emotionally. and likely her back could have been salvaged if the whipping didn’t repeat#but it did. because they need her to confess. maybe the excruciating pain of reopened wounds will get her to talk…#it doesn’t. she never says anything. and after a while they move on from torture to locking her up and starving her#maybe that’ll finally break her. perhaps she’s still whipped occasionally even afterwards but for the most part she’s just left alone-#in some dark cell and questioned occasionally. it lasts anywhere from weeks to months and yet she never gives out the one detail she knows#because Aiza’s safety depends on it and she knows Aiza’s punishment will be much worse than hers if she’s caught#but anyway. enough of the bloody horror show. instead think about what it must’ve been like for her parents#the town is alight with scandal following the disappearance of Lady Aiza. you know a bit about her since your daughter works for her#you don’t hear from your daughter for a while. eventually someone tells you that she’s been convicted of helping Lady Aiza run away#she’s been under interrogation since. no one’s seen her but rumour has it they’re torturing her. there’s little you can do as a poor family#you request an audience with Lord Jusamah. it takes a long time to to be granted but eventually you’re before him begging for your daughter#apparently she’s proven to be a useless waste of resources so she’s released to you. you barely recognise her. AND I REACHED TAG LIMIT FML

medical docudramas giving me new fears. i NEED to ensure my loved ones never boil an egg in the microwave.
#context: this episode a poor yoing lady opened up her microwave and the egg she was cooking in the microwave#fucking exploded boiling water and yolk all over her face burning her#and she was alone so she had to call the ambulance while coughing and not able to see (boiling water in eyes)#shes fucking lucky though because its not blistered and her mouth wasnt open so it wasnt burned#and therefore did not risk obstructing the airways#but jesus christ. i know not to microwave an egg because it makes it rubbery and gross#i didnt know it could be a fucking BOMB.#when i say this egg was everywhere. splattered on the floor and up against the walls and all over the counters that thing fucking WENT

nothing pisses me off quite like street racing AUs i can’t lie. and maybe it’s because i live in an area where it’s common, maybe it’s because the cashier at the gas station down the road was killed in an accident due to a race she wasn’t even in, maybe it’s because a kid in my class lost all three of his closest friends because they thought giving it a shot would be fun, maybe it’s because my coworker’s newborn baby was killed in a collision caused by a couple of racers. i don’t know. street racing isn’t a harmless crime. it’s fucking awful

Funny story: So, yesterday morning the lady who was prepping me for my IV/anesthesia saw my "Merci Pour Le Venin" tattoo that's directly below my arm vein and asked what it meant (My Chem bloggers know) and when I told her what it meant, she shrugged and said, "Well, you're certainly gonna get some of that in a few."
#personal#I did laugh though. Poor lady was definitely trying to break the ice as I was about to get totally drugged up.#Also I'm embarrassing. This is the 2nd time I've went under and this is the 2nd time I literally don't remember them adminstering it.#First time I had surgery I remembered getting wheeled into the OR and I was OUT after that.#This time? I remember her putting anti-anxiety stuff into my IV and then I was OUT after that.#Didn't even have to count down or anything... Like I'm already fucking asleep at that point.

i’ve literally been so upset at xo, kitty for days
because it’s the cringey whitewashed koreaboo version of a kdrama like it fucks up representing korean culture and language so bad that watching it makes me want to rip out my eardrums
but people still think it’s so cool and it’s really popular and it’s like,,, man. they really did that. they really represented korean society in the most inauthentic, wish version, whitewashed way possible. and people are fucking eating it up.
Lowkey pissed at the disrespect to my culture and language (chinguseok, anyone? go fuck yourself.) and the fact that very few people seem to recognize that it’s not an accurate portrayal at all.
