I'm so tired of everyone complaining every time a new Star Trek thing comes out. Newsflash, Star Trek has had C+ average writing and terrible consistency since TOS. It doesn't have to be your cup of tea. Maybe it contradicts your view of canon. But isn't the charm of Star Trek how laughably bad it can be? It switches from deep exploration of social and political topics and fumbling basic concepts at warp speed. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...
