people online will see someone who owns a poorly bred animal and be like "wow. dislike. you support animal abuse" as if there is no way you could end up with a poorly bred animal rather than buying it from a breeder

You’ve most likely answered this before but what breed exactly is Machete? I’ve been trying to figure it out for a while I’ve thought maybe a saluki but the ears arnt right.

In theory his breed is fictional Podenco Siciliano, but he's not a purebred example. Out of existing dog breeds he looks closest to (and is related to) Ibizan Hound.

But sometimes I see Silken Windhounds that also kind of remind me of him. They just don't have the characteristic bat ears.

Old Character Comeback 🖤 : Lucien, The Snake

Sooo, long story I used to have this old usb drive filled with my old art and characters which I had when I used to have a very old art account on Instagram. I found it! And now I’m very happy to have my old art and characters back! This is Lucien, a character I absolutely Im so grateful for having back because it was a custom design comm from @twomontis an artist I’ve always loved 🖤

I didn’t really like much the close up drawing with the complex lighting, I think I need to work better and learn more when it comes to clothing and lighting… frankly I’m still figuring out my style XD ✨

Not to reignite the disc horse over doodles and the breeding of them but why do so many of their owners get mad when the dog comes back from a groom and looks like a poodle. Your dog is 50-80% percent poodle its going to look like a poodle. If you hate poodles why the fuck did you get a dog that's mostly poodle.

I always feel bad when I move my little dog away from a big dog thats in our path especially if its one with a reputation like pit bulls or german shepards cuz i stg everytime the other owners like "oh dont worry my dogs super friendly" cuz like, its not you.

idk when people started thinking that a dog's breed doesn't affect their personality and behavior but that was kind of originally half the point of breeding dogs for specific purposes. herding dogs are gonna want jobs and puzzles and mental stimulation and find their own if you don't provide. terriers are gonna want to murder small animals. bullies are gonna be high energy and prone to dog aggression. huskies are gonna run and yell and run and yell and run and yell and run and run and run forever and destroy your couch if they don't run enough. which isn't to say there aren't plenty of people who are suited to owning those types of dogs, but if you want a lap dog and a quiet sedentary lifestyle then ffs swallow your pride and get a maltese for both your sake and the dog's.
