COINING POST: PearlOystertien/Oystertien

An Oystertien system (or any other kind of word used for your system/collective/constellation/group/pack/etc) is a system where there is any sort of identity that tends to cover or take over the rest of the system- the oyster. This identity is usually associated with a specific headmate, but can be "free floating" or exist in the absence of that headmate.

The oyster shell is that identity (and the headmate who holds it if applicable), and the pearl inside is the system.

I coined this term because "shell" has some medical associations (Specifically with OSDD A) and not everyone feels right using it! So yes, it is very similar, but encompasses a wider range of experience.

Features that an Oystertien system MIGHT have:

A frontstuck/frontsticky host who is the oyster.

Difficulty fronting if you dont identify with the oyster's identity, and/or consistently having front stolen from you by the oyster.

Struggles to tell who you are because the oyster's identity is overpowering.

Consistently being blended with the oyster.

Monoconsciousness or similar.

Having osdd 1a, being specutien, having a shell or prism, median systems with a blanketself, or anything similar.

The oyster being the core or resembling a bodily identity.

(Name from a Pearl Oyster, where the hard outside shell hides a pearl inside. And -tien, an affix that describes system structure/function.)

i would not mind this term being added to pluralpedia! :D
