I know Brook says the whole "I will protect you even if it costs me my life" about both Usopp and Sanji (the crew in general, too, but at that moment only those two). But I think there is something so personal about that sacrifice being directly tied to Zeff actually doing that very same thing when Sanji was a kid.

Sanji is not used to love and care from older men or, well, men in general. The first (and probably only connection) he has with that is Zeff and he ends up relating that sacrifice to parenthood and what a dad should be. And then Brook-- A man older and wiser and someone who they've basically just met, decides to do it too. Not only with actions but verbally stating he will protect him risking his life.

I am just saying that one can't have too many father figures after the shit Sanji has been through, and while he is far from home and far from his real dad, I don't think viewing Brook as a parental figure or a safe place would be far from the truth or what Sanji needs. I actually do think it'd be great for him.

I'm still thinking about Azathoth. Why did Maruki awaken to Azathoth, of all deities? How did he awaken to his Persona outside of the cognitive world? Was this answered or implied, because I don't remember anything about that - and even then, it seemed like Azathoth approached Maruki.

I just can't stop thinking about how Azathoth's power allowed Maruki to manipulate reality based off of people's wishes to create an Ideal Reality, and how Nyarlathotep corrupted Jun into changing reality via dreams and rumours, collecting Ideal Energy for the human ascension to Idealians. Nyarlathotep is Azathoth's son.

There's also the use of the name Joker and the "game" a god played by pitting Persona users against each other as I mentioned in an earlier post. Just fun references or... something else?

So I watched De Palma's Femme Fatale (2002) tonight, and there's this one scene. In short, the MC (blonde woman called Laure Ash/Lily Watts) gets thrown off a bridge into a river while unconscious, and this shot occurs;

Like, does that or does that not look like the TPWBYT cover?? The hands are in the same position, the bubbles hide the face, and the legs in an earlier shot, and the MC is drowning. That place will become her tomb, in story context, if she doesn't swim up. Of course, the colour grading is very different, but my point still stands!
