When I was little my mom would always tell me the story of “the child of all souls” and I loved it so much.

The story starts with the tale of a young child(she never specified if it was a boy or girl) and its life, how he faced tragedy after tragedy but always kept his hope up. That hope hope helped fight after fight no matter what. This all came from seeing other entities, he saw himself within their souls, it felt connected them like these beings were more than just strangers.

Sadly as one the day it’s young life was cut short, being called into the upper heavens. The child would wake up next a magical being, the one to choose destiny.

The divine being tells it about its destiny the one he choose for it, long before he was born.

The child wasn’t a normal human being, it was born with the souls of all alive, from animals to unknown creatures, anything that had soul it had a part of. That was why it saw himself within the others.

As the child accepted its role as the destined “Child of all soul’s” its form would change into something undefinable but so beautiful.

It leads the souls who found their end to peace where they can rest, while the souls whose life were cut short like its help to new life, a new chance.

Sometimes it walks between us, it lives within our world but no one can truly tell, the beings see it as what they love, most children seeing their favorite pet or animal. Adults resembling loved ones they miss. But this changes for everyone and everything.

The most beautiful part of the it’s being was his soul, it was a part of everyone, it could be everyone. Not belonging to specific group people could see themselves just like it does within their souls, a bond so strong nothing can break it.

That was the story, I loved the ending how it explained that no matter who you are, you can feel represented within it cause it had a piece of all souls, a piece of everything.

My mom would make up stories of it meeting old souls or helping lost children, it was always so sweet, I can say without a doubt that hearing these stories is what kept me from seeing nightmares.

I would like to say that this story shouldn’t be connected with any kind of religion or anything like that, as my mom would always explain that the lack or religions in the story is what made it for everyone, the child of all souls or chooser of destiny aren’t religious figures or don’t come from a religion, it’s independent story not relating to anything outside of it.

Well, as I have mention before I have an AO3 account and this is basically my invitation for all of you TOH obsessed people to go and check it out. Ao3 is the best! The Owl House definitely needs a prequel series so this is my attempt at writing one. Can you guys check it out? Hits, Kudos, and Comments are the best thing ever. Of course, if it's not your style, that's fine. Unfortunately I probably won't be updating more than once a week. The summer might see more posts, I don't know yet. Filler chapters will be a thing but they all will have an actual plot. Of course, Raeda will be the main ship, as well as Aladarius. Raine is the biggest flirt with Eda and I will not be convinced otherwise. Harvey and Gilbert Park will appear too! I've also put Steve in the fic but he might be a little too young. Dana did such a great job with this show I'll never get over it. Disney screwed us over with the shortened season 3. Eda's backstory is so fascinating and I want more of it. Needless to say, I hope that I'm doing this character a good job of representing them accurately. My writing schedule is so chaotic though. Eda is my favorite to write, I'm getting all of the chaos I never dared to do out through her. Sometimes Lilith is my favorite though, I really relate to her. Steve is a cinnamon role, and I will always love him. And Darius puts up with so much in this fic it's amazing. Generally, it's a hilarious fic but does have a lot of angsty drama, mainly between the Aladarius and Odalia situation. Eda's curse is a big deal too. So, are you going to read it?

DC x DP Prompt: Bruce is bad at emoting but at least ghosts are empathic (too bad bat kids are not)

Was reading Twincognito on AO3 when I stumbled across this gem again:

Now I really want to read a story where Bruce adopts Danny post Meta trafficking and is being his usual emotionally constipated self. His kids keep getting mad at him because he's treating their new meta brother who was trafficked poorly (generally being stilted in conversation with him, walking away hurriedly mid-conversation, avoiding Danny when he's feeling really awkward, etc). They think Bruce is discriminating against Danny for being a civilian, meta, dealer's pick, but really it's just Bruce being horribly socially awkward. Danny knows this because of ghost empathy and find the whole thing hilarious. The whole thing comes to a head with the Bat Kids staging an intervention in the Bat Cave.

AU where bruce and co. (his entire hoarde of kids, even jason in disguise) are at a gala. And it's a really big gala, party of the year type of thing in Gotham, absolutely unmissable. And usually, even the rogues know that this night is off limits, so it's relatively safe. So, they're all at this gala, right?

And then the joker crashes it because he has no respect for Gotham traditions. Breaks in through a window, yada yada. He starts to go on this whole villain speech as per usual, and everyone is waiting for the heroes to come. But all the heroes are at the gala, in their civilian identities, with a thousand eyes on them. No one can reasonably slip away, except for maybe jason, who's already seething mad and ready to attack. But with the chaos and people trying to get away, all the exits are blocked, and his helmet is at home.

Bruce is at the front of the crowd, facing the Joker. Joker sees him and makes a comment about Jason, and goes on about how Bruce must've felt when his baby died. And then he brings up how he killed the little birdie too, just a few days before the terrorist attacks that allegedly killed Jason. And he mentions how much he tortured Robin before his death, and Bruce snaps.

He leaps forward, absolutely hammering the shit out of the joker. Beats him up so bad, no finesse or technique to it, just pure rage. His kids try to pull him off, to no avail. No one else even tries. By the end of it, by the time the police arrive, the joker is more blood than body, and Bruce has finally calmed down. Everyone is just staring at him in shock, understandably. (The joker ends up in hospital, paralysed and in a coma)

His kids all drag Bruce home and give him an entire lecture about his persona and how his cover has probably been blown. About excessive violence and how he refused to kill joker but then pulled this in public?? They're all worried about the fallout in the news the next day.

No one sleeps that night, for various reasons, but then when the newspaper comes out the next morning... there's just nothing bad written?? The headline is something about Bruce being a hero for saving everyone from the joker, but there's no other mention about Batman or anything else.

Turns out, no one in Gotham is surprised that Brucie Wayne, no 1 airhead, beat up the joker because "did you SEE him as a teenager?? We were all just glad when he came from his travels pretending to be stupid instead of picking fights with everyone. If anything, it's understandable that he snapped, I would too if a clown started bragging about killing my son." The only reason no one brought up his violent past is because they were worried he would revert back to that behaviour.

Jason being the easiest kid is super funny. Bruce looking at Jason and remembering Dick at 18: “we can work through this. He’ll come around if I don’t give up on.”

Bruce, watching over a freshly street-snatched Jason: Why is he so calm

Having Dick as the rambunctious, feral, and unhinged first child must've given him SO much whiplash once Jason entered the picture. Lil guy just vibed in his own world. Just reading books and doing schoolwork. Baby Jason hurt nobody.

Bruce will just be going over the ground rules of the manor, remembering all the chaos Dick brought upon the household.

Bruce: No swinging from the chandelier.

Jason: ?? I wasn't planning to?

Bruce: No murder.

Jason: What? That never even crossed my mind-

Bruce: And please, for the love of God, don't sneak out and try to beat up the nearest criminal on our block

Jason:

Jason: WHO is responsible for these rules being created??

Bruce will just come home from a long day of work. He's tired and just wants a nice, quiet evening, but he's subconsciously psyching himself up to prepare himself for the chaos he'll witness once he enters the manor

but then Jason's just quietly doing his own thing, maybe even helping Alfred with some chores, reading, or just lounging about in the manor. In general, just causing no trouble and Bruce just turns to Alfred, all worried like, "Is he sick? I don't think children are supposed to behave this way."
