Batfam au where the reader isn't a vigilante, "doesnt" know about the vigilante stuff (they do but they pretend they don't)(they live with them of course they peiced it together) and is instead the normal family member.

A reader who isn't a vigilante but has been "secretly" taking self defense lessons for years because she's a Wayne and lives in Gotham (she's not actively hiding it, the others just haven't asked)

Not a neglected reader but instead the cover up almost

Whenever someone questions the family reader plays the "what are you talking about, we're just a normal family, like that time-" and they'd go on about some random family moment

Even Damian plays along acting like a real little brother around reader (which the others find annoying because he's always a Lil shit to them)

A reader who is well known and liked by the public who happily answers questions and makes the family seem more normal

A reader who always attends galas and talks with the rich people and builds connections

A reader who when one of said galas is attacked, immediately goes to defend people and disarm the attackers, knowing the batfam can't do anything in civilian form and buys them time

A reader who when asked why they went into action says that people were in danger

A reader who says they learnt self defense because they can't always rely on Batman and Robin's, they already do so much for Gotham the least they could do is lessen the plate

A reader who after they get home is sat down with the family for a "We have something to tell you" talk that looks a bit like this

Bruce: "Y/n? Come sit, we need to talk"

Y/n: "Is something wrong?"

Dick: "It's about what happened at the gala, we heard what you said and there's something you should know-"

Y/n: "Oh is this the talk where you finally tell me you guys have been vigilantes this whole time?"

Tim: ".... is that sarcasm or did you expect this"

Y/n: "Guys I've known for years, did you think I was covering for you guys accidentally?"

Bruce: "If you've known for so long why didn't you ever say anything?"

Y/n: "I liked playing the innocent role, plus it was entertaining to watch you guys try to cover things up so I wouldn't question anything"

Batfam: "........"

Y/n: "Aaaaand seeing you guys get so angry because of how Damian acts like an angel around me so he could get away with things since I 'wouldn't believe you' I've seen you guys get so close to cracking when I would tell you off for being rude to him"

As much as I love neglected reader and other angst, I think a story where the reader had more power and knowledge than the others realized would he really fun

Bonus would be if Alfred and the reader were in cahoots, especially if reader told Alfred about the self defense lessons (probably got some from Alfred himself honestly)
