Hi, I’m Ele! I’ve been writing Jemma since season 2 on whydoyouthinkileft and shewassoferal. For anyone who doesn’t know me I’m super friendly, just very tired from my chronic illnesses, so don’t let the ‘darkness’ of this au fool you into being intimidated, I get overexcited when asked to plot. More about me: I’m a cis woman born in '89, aro-ace, and Italian (and I write too much to make sure what I say is clear) living in Italy and therefore timezones are a pain.

I will follow back from thecharmingknightemma, as soon as we are mutuals you are more than welcome to start interacting because I’m always enthusiastic about writing. I stopped watching after s5 and I prefer not to keep myself in touch, I did not like season 5 in particular either but I watched so I will at least know what you are talking about and be able to plot something around it, but remember this Jemma left either in s2 or s3 and not in friendly terms with everyone so at best she'd be an outsider stopping by for five minutes.

What is this blog about

Canon divergent mutuals only, crossovers-friendly blog, where Jemma’s character snaps and goes grey-dark around s2 and leaves mid-season 3. At times she might seem ooc but everything is planned and explained, and keep in mind that depending on when you meet her, she might also be exaggerating some traits to play a character that sort of subconsciously confirms the worst things she thinks about herself. 

Disclaimer because this blog is easy to misunderstand

The most important disclaimer especially if you write an aos character or love the team: everything I write is from Jemma’s point of view and she can be unfair (and your character can fight back) while at times she'll just be defending herself. It’s not ME bashing the team through a blog. It’s a what if plot I wanted to explore, a potential path she could have taken if her guilt, PTSD, self-hatred and vengeful spirit had pushed her to stop repressing everything and pretending she was okay, but still not picking a healthy option. The metaphorical music box where she puts all her traumas and anger and troubles since she was a kid has broken, and everything is trying to come out. 

This means I actually hope I’ll get to rp with aos characters and fix things after the angst because this is all for fun, not to bash people especially people whose motivations I understood. It's about the angst/hurt-comfort of interacting with a 'former friend’ when she's either willing to do unspeakable things to rescue your character (she didn’t even blink over pulverizing a man with a splinter bomb) or having her show her genius-level perfect memory when she brings up everything unfair or painful that has been said about her. And have yours give their own version of it back, of course.

In universe interactions.

Depending on the timeline, she’s either with the team and pissed (see bio) or she has left and sometimes crosses paths with them again, especially if she has learned they are in trouble because she can't resist helping. If she's interacting with people who aren’t characters of AoS it's after she has left SHIELD and has spent time being a vigilante. If you are not someone she sees as an enemy or 'ex' friend, she won't be straight up rude, though she's not a ray of sunshine either. It depends on the circumstances.

Activity

Low activity, probably. It could be high if requested to be, but the aos fandom is not that popular anymore so it depends on my rp partners' activity. Basically if you want to write, I’m very much here even if you don’t see me!

ships and nsfw

nsfw will happen but only with people I’m comfortable with - she’s very sexual (and kinky) but I’ll fade to black or assume they have had sex if we write that sort of thing and aren’t close. Jemma is straight and I ship easily (but it will be less easy with Fitz given the backstory here, they need to fix things first and also to be compatible when we write them together), she has no experience with romance, just one night stands and a 'friends with benefit' situation with Will, and now more than ever she'd be at loss in that area. 

Triggering themes

Triggers are tagged as 'name of the trigger tw'. This is AoS and Jemma Simmons so there are recurrent themes: PTSD, violence (I'd tag torture but not regular fights, however I'd skip those if they make you uncomfortable, communication is the key), she was sort of suicidal for a while but now it's more of a 'being okay if she dies but not trying to go there because she has too much left to do, even if she's not too happy to be alive' situation. If you are uncomfortable with some themes let me know and I'll work around it, especially the times she's back to at least wishing she was dead because it's easy to have things take a different turn there - but when it comes to her having PTSD symptoms and/or having a distorted vision of herself, that's sadly the entire point of the blog at least until in threads she gets better so it won't have a 'trigger warning' or every post would need to be tagged with it. I won't write miscarriages, abusive relationships between our characters, and if possible I'll ask you to please tag your daddy kink mentions and jokes.

In my opinion - section:

I don't like where the show went with Jemma, and if we write FitzSimmons together it will not be like in the show even when Jemma feels better, but like I said that doesn't mean I don't understand where characters are coming from and saying Jemma is perfect, far from that. I stopped watching AoS after season 5. And Jemma’s big special thing beside being a genius and willing to kill people since literally episode 1 was that she’s the kind of woman who is accidentally creepy when speaking of dissecting a living alien to find out how old he is, that she’s not that good at interacting with people (which doesn't make her evil, just awkward), she’s very literal, she has burst of knowledge about whatever she has read even once ten years ago, she can be petty and mean but at first glance especially in season 1 you just see a polite nice lady, she says she wants to follow the rules but breaks them whenever she feels is needed, she’s not the best at comforting people, she’s definitely not the type of character who can be someone’s therapist even on a good day, she can try to listen and try comfort but due to her extreme guilt when she can’t help she cannot become your character’s hope and peptalker especially if it doesn't work quickly.
