I went to @kazkonkarlsruhe (Instagram) today, and next to it was another smal marked for, I asume, local clubs.

The stall by @derkunstbus (Instagram) offered for people to draw with colors made out of different plants, and also to paint on their little bike-cart using wood varnish.

So obviously, me and @_mario7806_ (Instagram) , who was there with me, tried it all xD

This first picture is the "bookmark" I painted using the plant based colors. Some of them did unexpected things! Like the little stars! They wheren't done on purpose, they just appeared! I asume becouse the baking soda I used to mix the color didn't desplve fully. And the trees? The blossoms on it where originaly pink, but turned blue when they dried! Which was unexpected, but I quiet like it! ^^

Though I cheated the tiniest bit, by using a fine liner for the tiny girl, after failing to draw that tiny with the wood chalk given to us xD

Speaking of, these are little doodles I made to practice with said wood chalk:

And the last one are the daisies I drew on their cart ^^

Croton dragon from my Dracoflora II series, inspired by Codiaeum variegatum! This design is destined to be enamel pin-ified and is currently available for preorder on Kickstarter until October 24th.

Very loosely inspired by the dream tiger trend that was kicking around earlier this year! I was so busy (being the slow artist I am) that I didn't get a chance to throw my own interpretation into the ring, but I thought it was a really cool moment for the online art community

also i did decide to give caio two birds instead of one. their names are Mauve and Mars and they are both Vinous-throated parrotbills

and this is what they look like. both are male and they are very very talkative, social birds. caio got two because he didn't want one or the other to be lonely (emphasis on "they're social birds") and likely has an older neighbor watch them on occasion when he knows he has back to back late shifts.

A Darker side of Dryad Husbandry

While their status as household pets and decoration is widely known, there are far more gruesome uses for a Dryad; things not discussed in polite company, if at all.

Many human scientists have taken to researching the species' regenerative properties, often subjecting Dryads to brutal experiments in order to test and document their limits.

Other researchers try for innovation: experimenting with Dryads' limbs and organs in an effort to create something that would be compatible with a human in need of a transplant, or testing new agricultural formulas and methods.

Not every research project is legal, but most governments are willing to turn a blind eye to the science guilds' work on Dryads in the name of progress.

Darker still are the underground circles frequented by those who are rich and depraved enough to access them. Here, Dryads (and Naiads) may be forced to fight, experimented on by inexperienced lords, or even eaten as a delicacy.

was gonna make a genuine post but on second thought "really having fun with this game called 'the gunk' " sounds so unserious

#it's a good game i swear #i'd been eyeing it for a while and then i got it for free Yippee #i knew i'd like it but honestly it has me hooked rn gkfjdk #it's a simple adventure 3d platformer where you play as a space scavenger exploring a planet filled with. gunk.#literally some kind of evil goo and when you clean it up the area starts growing flowers & plants & all #and there's like a plot about ancient aliens i can't say i know more yet but it's going somewhere #it's just you and your. i think girlfriend ??? ambiguous. traveling through space looking for stuff to sell #and there's like upgrades you can get with resources you collect it's pretty neat #but i think it's mostly the visuals and the intrigue of the planet's history that are getting to me #since the gameplay is basically just. walk around. suck up goop. walk around. suck up ore & plants. some puzzle elements kinda. suck up goop #it's a really pretty game like i kinda thought it would look a bit more dreary and dark based on the screenshots but nah Colorful yay #give it a shot if you have the opportunity it's a good time

CHEMICAL FIRE!#dante has water and travis has crystal + darkness #'why is crystal an element that seems so specific' explodes you with my mind. because i SAID SO #the main elements so far are fire water earth wind plants crystal lightning light and finally darkness #light and dark are super super rare. travis is an enigma and many people want to study him under a microscope #aph also has the element of darkness. she and travis get constant 'are you two gone become evil super villains together??' comments #also at the school they are all forced to live in dorms of people with the same element (if they have more than one element then they go #based off of what their most prominent/powerful element is usually). there are three people per dorm #gene gets to stay in a room with dante and zane. dante is fine but zane is a terrible roommate #vylad gets to stay in a room with blaze and laurance. actual hell on earth because they both keep fighting over garroth #aph and travis share a dorm because theyre the only people at school who have the element of darkness #they have a uniform! the colors are the colors of your element(s)#which means vylad gets. red and green. the worst possible combo. he looks like hes wearing an ugly christmas outfit all the time #travis gets pale purple and black which looks super cool #dante and gene both get blue #aph gets all black. although she usually wears purple accessories (which technically arent allowed but most ppl dont care)#WOW this is longer than i thought itd be and i havent even explained half of it. whoops

i made them when i was like 14-15 but this is the most effort i ever put into their designs

under the cut are them separate so it's easier to see

their magical girl series would be called "Road to Happiness" bc they're all paths and they're all paths bc of that AND because path is a root word relating to emotion and shit (i thought i was so smart piecing that together)

#my art #spent several hours doing this which is funny to me bc it's like. not great #but i had so so much fun and i love these guys and their story even if it isn't fully fleshed out or anything #chris is the hardest for me to design every time since his color scheme is funky and i don't like all the green tbh #his powers are plant based so i can't NOT have green but it just feels stupid #i'll figure it out someday hopefully #maybe next time i'll use a more reddish purple in a different shade #also maybe if i will i'll make the other important/side characters sheets like this #cuz there are 4 i can think of off the top of my head that deserve this too #but oh well

It’s midnight and I should be in bed but I was hit with piranha plant fakemon inspiration so i sketched up these so I wouldn’t forget

Regional variant of Mawile (took major toad inspo since it was the first Mario npc I thought of but I’ll probably change it idk) and an unnamed fakemon that can suck itself in to its shell/planter to zoom around really fast and hit enemies
