my current interest going from venture bros to supernatural is so funny bc for totally different shows , they have such odd similarities. its like deja-vu tinnitus.

so theres the flagship characters. brothers. one of them is named dean and he has freckles and hair shaped like this 🚩. he has a brother who doesn't want to go into the family business, which causes a rift between him and his father. he has bangs for one season, and a major character arc in season 4.

the brothers dont have a mother. a death in the family pushed their father into the business. the family business keeps them from integrating into normal society. their house burns down.

and they keep. dying.

they have a gruff but caring pseudo father figure whos into cars. the older brother wore his father (figure)'s jacket as part of his signature look for a while.

the older brother (whos a bit of a bully but follows his heart) is the fan favorite. his gentle-bitchy-nerd younger brother wants to go to college and be normal. he is not a natural human being. this upsets him.

they have a half brother that their father never told them about. both first seasons end in a catastrophic car accident. someone tries to retrieve their souls when they die. both shows ran for 15 years, starting in the early 2000's.

and ben edlund is there.
