accidentally got two of the most painful piercings at the same time
(apologies for the clickbait ass title. idk if these are actually "the most" painful, but they ain't the least I can tell u that.)
was bored and gonna hang with old high school friend, ad just went through a breakup, so I was like ok time to get pierced. the night before, i book an appointment for two ear piercings I think look sick. i show up the next day ready, high as fuck with my friend and ex with me.
we go in. i sit on the table. i mull over the decision I'm making for the first time and start to freak a little. i pee. i come back a stronger man. the friend with me is a doula so when after i've been prepared and laid down by the piercing man, she is on my side, holding my hand, ready to go.
we decide to do the Daith first. if you dont know, this is a ring that goes through the very dense cartilage in your inner ear! and that shit is DENSE. and the piercer has to FORCE a needle through that shit as hard as they can!
it was a little different than getting my ears pierced when I was 10, I can tell you that.
The worst part is the noise, which I didn't even consider until people asked about it after. The crunch as it goes through... *shudders*
and my second piercing? a helix, on the same ear. which I barely even remember because I was so dissociated from the first piercing!
Was actually very grateful I did no research and no one warned me about the pain, because I would've chickened out and I wouldn't have gotten such dope piercings.

okay so a while back I mentioned I was really unhappy with the older designs I had for the pines twins, so I decided to completely re-do them. not sure why I didn't give them both glasses in the first place honestly. hey have you noticed how often I just draw characters standing in a white empty space

no more "kon got his piercing by asking tim to use a kryptonite needle" (lies, straight up wrong, ignores the significance of kon's earring as a reclamation of his own bodily autonomy after being dehumanized to the point of being tagged like a lab mouse).
instead, if you want something about timkon and intimacy, listen. just picture tim "overthinker" drake in the jewelry store staring at two nearly-identical pairs of simple studs for a full 30 minutes as he tries to determine which would make a better gift for kon (he got overwhelmed by the novelty earrings rack. too many options). he knows why kon wears an earring instead of letting the piercing close up (kon likes the look, but moreover, it's about the fact that it's his body to do with as he likes). so picking the one kon would like best is important!!! he has to get it right!!! he needs to make sure kon has that special little smile on his face when he opens the gift box and understands how much thought tim put into it!!!

The absolute biggest thing I've learned as a trans guy: there is nothing more masculine and manly than not caring about looking or acting masculine or manly. Growing your masculinity or manhood takes time and care - you have no obligation to let the world water your garden when you can do that just fine (and you can, even if it doesn't feel like you can!)

im being so so brave but also i am gripping you by the shoulders and leaning in and letting you know i am so tired of being brave
#my job has invented new and even more agonizing ways to make itself stressful to endure#and that isn't even counting the fact that i've now seriously fucked up my wrist transporting 30lb boxes up and down stairs#or the fact that i occasionally get piercing shoulder pains if i'm not super careful about how i use the hand truck#or the fact that whenever i come home on mondays my entire lower body is so sore that i can't move beyond a weak shuffle#it's the fact that my boss has no sense of organization#so my supervisor and i are basically salvaging or starting from scratch every week#it's the fact that some of our clients are asking for things we're not even contracted to provide#like access to our company materials or additional resources outside of our scheduled bookings#and that there's this constant looming threat of 'ohhh don't be bad at your job!! or else we'll lose our contract with these people!!'#but 'bad at your job' in this case means 'not bending over backwards to accommodate the least accommodating circumstances possible'#like 'hey you need to lead this training exercise meant for 20 people except actually you only have 4 people'#'and actually none of them are familiar with the prerequisites for this training or have any experience with the skills'#'and also none of them want to be there and half of them just Don't Do These Things as a rule'#'and if you try to make them do anything they don't want to do (even if it's literally the point of the training) they Will leave'#'and then we will no longer have enough clients to pay you'#like. what am i doing. this company was not designed to work with this format. we're not an arts and crafts group or a club meeting#hi so i wrote this post before starting weekend work prep#it has been 3 hours now#im still not done#i haven't eaten and my wrist hurts so bad#i need to.................. take a break................................

Here's a question: when did Azzi get her belly button piercing? I know it was between Jan 2020 and June 2020. But because of Covid, I imagine logically it was before March 12 2020. Just thinking that after Paige's final high school game, she probably saw that piercing for the first time.
I...actually have no idea when she got it done. I only know that she had it in July 2020.
We're obsessed with Azzi's abs, so I can only imagine how Paige feels. I know she thanked God after seeing her piercing for the first time (I'm not religious and I would have).
