Ok some more about that zombie tf idea:

considering both mine and @doldulce's ideas on pc death, we'll assume pc can die but comes back. the specifics aren't important for now

you gain points for the zombie tf by dying, a lesser amount by remaining injured for a long period (likely given treatment is expensive).

considering my cannibalism ideas too, let's say you have a cannibalism stat like the deviancy one (or the cannibalism aspect is part of the deviancy stat, unsure) and the higher it is, the more specific you can get on what you choose to eat out of a person/corpse. if you choose to eat brains often, you get points towards the zombie tf. eating eyes, tongues and intestines also counts towards it.

stage 1: you feel colder.

stage 2: your skin has turned pale and ashy.

stage 3: your teeth ache.

stage 4: your teeth have gotten a lot pointier.

stage 5: you're hungry, but nothing is satisfying you.

stage 6: you're forgetting to breathe, and yet you're alive...?

the zombie transformation gives the pc sharp teeth (different from fangs - all the teeth are sharp, like a shark, more likely to initiate a cannibalism action than simple fangs), pale sickly skin (which will worry people or make them bully you, depending on your relationships and status), and functionally kill them. good thing is that the pc no longer needs medical attention (they regenerate VERY slowly but regenerate), is infertile, and doesn't need to breathe underwater/doesnt pass out when choked. they also have a higher pain tolerance.

however, now pc needs to eat brains and organs regularly or their stress and pain will rise (or maybe I can add a hunger bar that makes every option fade into "eat" when maxed out? unsure) and their physique has decreased significantly, what with their dead body and all. their beauty stat will also lower pretty drastically and be hard to build back up.

this tf would be good for someone who wants to go the underground route rather than the classy/glamour route. the decreased beauty and physique stats would make some things less easy, or even impossible (I think Avery would take one look at zombie pc and go mm. no) but it's easier to get out of situations by riding it out rather than trying to avoid the endless cycle of forest-eden-wolves-hospital-asylum-bailey-- etc etc. dunno if om being clear but its clear to Me.

it'd also be a good incentive to prioritize getting healed when injured and avoiding dying, regardless of how expensive the treatment for injuries is and how ruthless some npcs are. (for the injury system concept tho id probably add an alternative to the hospital, less expensive, like optional first aid classes or bandages in the pharmacy, maybe robin knows how to deal with injuries and heals your wounds)

n e ways. I think if I made a mod I would add a endless amount of stuff which would be insuffurable for me. do not tell me how to make a mod if I understand I will Never Stop

My ideal execution (ha) of PC death with all these ideas in mind is that you CAN die, it'd just be temporary. So someone COULD track you down, kill you, fuck your corpse—and when they're done with you and presumably leave, a few in game hours pass and you get up again. (If they're a freak and dragged your body into their basement, you may wake up there and escape...you also might just wake up in Kylar's manor, bc they found your body & took it home. But mainly your body was likely dumped in the woods or thrown into a nearby body of water, the latter with which you end up washing up on shore).

One could even tie in an anti-frustration feature where coming back to life works as a soft reset on fatigue/pain/stress/etc (probably not trauma tho). That of course could be toggled off for people who LIKE maxxing out their meters and getting caught in an endless loop of bad ends that feel impossible to crawl out of, but personally I'd love the high-risk high-reward (especially considering you'd usually wake up somewhere hard to navigate from at a crazy hour). And having a zombie tf it counts towards could keep people from abusing the feature (or encourage them to try to kill their character repeatedly, which would be made harder if your levels reset each time. See, it all works together).
