I just finished ep 7 and I need ep 8 NOW. A lot of exposition at the start but these boys have me feral for how the relationship is progressing.

I love that they are both aware that there is something growing between them, something that they are on the precipice of acknowledging, and yet both are cautiously waiting for them both to be ready. Tian is still fearful and hesitant to take that step, of allowing himself to give in to what he wants. And Wang has realised he needs to be patient with Tian, reassure him that he will be by his side, that Wang can be the home and stability that Tian so desperately needs.

My favourite moment has to be Wang and Tian sitting by the river after Wang’s dad proposes to Tian’s mum. The event leads Wang to ask the million dollar question that is currently hangs between them - will Tian be upset about them becoming real brothers if Tian’s mum marries Wang’s dad? Neither of them can answer that honestly yet, because they know the answer will change everything.

I love how Wang has settled on Family as a way to describe their bond. They truly have become a family to each other as they learn to connect and understand each other. It doesn’t diminish their bond, and would be true whether they stay “brothers” or if they become romantic with each other. Everything is still in the air between them, understood but not acknowledged.

I am so excited for ep 8.

Thinking about writing a “time travel” fic where after the events of rdr1 John doesn’t die but instead wakes up on the cliff side of colter after being mauled by wolves. He has a chance to fix things, to save people to save himself for his family. But most importantly he gets to coddle and adore a 4 year old Jack because “oh my god my boy is so small I can’t believe I didn’t appreciate him at this time”

I want to know how Phoebe went about getting Jamie to come to Roy’s party. Did she craft a very glitter invitation? Did she and her mom show up at the club at a time when they knew Uncle Roy wasn’t there and ask a very underpaid member of the office staff to let them see Jamie Tartt? Did that staff member call Leslie and Leslie was all to eager to do this favor for Roy’s niece? (Is Phoebe Diamond Dog-adjacent? Diamond Puppy?)

So did Jamie get called up to Leslie’s office only to find Phoebe grinning madly and handing him the glitter invitation and listening as she explained the importance of Uncle’s Day and how it was a gifts required type of holiday and since he’s Uncle Roy’s best friend he has to come?

Did Jamie accept the invitation immediately and secretly preen a bit that Roy talks about him a lot? And since when did he start caring that Roy likes him enough to talk about him? Since when are he and Roy FRIENDS?

But if Phoebe says so it must be true. The glitter invitation is proof.

He orders the jersey ten minutes after Phoebe leaves, giggling about Roy’s reaction as he does. Because they’re friends.

Call me a wet blanket but the one major gripe I have about the update is that nuclear reactors don't explode!! At most you'll have a steam explosion but that wouldn't be a mushroom cloud or a nuke blast!! Yes yes I know its a game about space ninjas BUT STILL Getting nuke stuff wrong is a major pet peeve of mine lmfao
