BIOGRAPHY

tw : parental death, depression, insecurity. 

peter was the ray of sunshine in iris pettigrew's life. born into a marriage gone cold, peter was the last ditch attempt at holding a marriage together. geoffrey, his father, was more interested in manning his pub and partaking in blue-collar boxing matches in their local community than paying attention to his wife.

iris pettigrew, once an esteemed witch, had rejected a marriage betrothal to marry geoffrey, a muggle. iris' life of riches soon turned to rags - and the fiery passion of a forbidden romance soon fizzled into floating embers. peter was born on 27 of september 1957, and soon became iris' pride and joy. the focus of her love, the reminder that her decision was for something. geoffrey heard news that his son was born and continued to work his shift. all before returning home in the morning, picking peter up and deeming him 'awful peaky.' the beginning of a prickly relationship.

peter could never be the son that geoffrey wanted him to be. geoffrey threw him into boxing from a young age, determined for peter to live as muggle of a life as possible. the magical element of his wife was always something geoffrey ignored - unwilling to recognise his wife's talent as more meaningful that his own. as the trophies rolled in, peter began to recognise those as the only validation he would ever get from his father. the one fleeting moment of father's pride was enough to fuel young peter to continue. to continue allowing himself to batter and get battered - all for the one look of love that would be thrown in his direction.

once the trophy was stored in the cabinet, geoffrey no longer cared for peter. it was his mother that had to nurse peter's cuts - wipe away the tears from his bruised eyes and wrap his knuckles with the seal of a kiss.

boxing matches were peter's childhood. no matter how much iris pleaded with geoffrey to take it easy on peter, her plea's fell on deaf ears. fighting was never peter's passion nor was pulling pints in his father's pub. instead it was photography. an interest passed on from his mother, he recalled seeing moving pictures in her wardrobe, photos of her sisters and a few friends from hogwarts. he liked how a picture could capture a moment - and it would remain unchanged. change was never something peter coped with easily. a deeply insecure boy - peter found something comforting in the knowledge of time remaining perfectly still.

hogwarts was a massive adjustment for peter. at muggle primary school - he was shy, getting picked on for his tattered clothes and mismatched socks, not to mention the moments where books began to float in the air. at hogwarts, peter had the chance to be around people more suited to him.

while nervous, peter recalled how his mother's eyes glistened with love and nostalgia at the mention of her hogwarts years. and his own years were similar. making good friends with the marauders, peter came out of his shell. a charismatic and cheeky young lad - peter loves to flirt, chat and have a laugh. around his friends , peter feels like he is on top of the world.

in his fifth year at hogwarts, peter received news that his mother had passed suddenly. news that devastated him, peter was allowed to leave school to attend the funeral. a funeral that fifteen year old peter had to plan - his father choosing work over his mother once again. since that day - peter has rejected any notion his father. choosing the unconditional love of his friends.

alone - sometimes peter can feel a darkness looming over his shoulder. a darkness that is nipping at his ankles as the years pass by - the fear of things changing. in the light of day - peter can recognise that one day all his friends will move on. that one day - they might move on to greener pastures and peter will be left completely alone. alone, miserable, and weak like his father. these thoughts feel like water flooding in around his ankles, and one of these days peter is waiting for the current to pull him under. after all, the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.

but for now, peter's sights are set on completing university, and laying a foundation. All in the hope that the foundation wont crack beneath him.

BACKGROUND

Peter isn’t the same friendly neighborhood spider-man since the death of the love of his life Gwen Stacy. He tried to pick himself up and push forward being the shining symbol that New York needed but it felt off. He struggled for a while as nothing seemed to have any impact, the bad guys always seemed to get free once again and terrorize the streets of Queens killing and doing whatever they wished. It was during this time his rage started to grow, what right did the scum of the earth have to be alive while Gwen’s body lay rotting in the ground?

Spider-man no longer held back when he was called to a scene, his rage taking hold of him as his punches got harder and more aggressive. The change didn’t go unnoticed by the citizens of New York as instead of happiness there was a terror when his name was mentioned. He couldn’t be bothered to care, yet with each win nothing made this horrible dark feeling go away. He knew who was responsible for this and he began the work of tracking down Green Goblin. Gone was any feeling of friendship he held for Harry Osborn, the man had taken his happiness and he’d see him die for it.

Peter isn’t from this universe he was trying to stop Green Goblin(Harry Osborn) from completing an unknown experiment when something went wrong. All Peter can remember about this is a flashing green light as he was thrown through a wall and flung into an alternative universe. Once he came too he had no idea that he was no longer in the world he was called home, it wasn’t until he saw his name and a person he’d never seen before flashing across the screens calling him a menace. Out of his suit and walking these new streets he has one mission, find this version of Peter Parker and figure out how he can get back home to complete his mission. Ensuring the Green Goblin is dead never to harm another again.

On love and sacrifices

There’s so much more to this scapegoating business and big sacrifices referenced in the Good Omens narrative than the literal goats. And they’re only getting bigger, louder, final.

But let’s take it slow and start with the beginning, quite literally — i.e., with the Good Omens 2 title sequence. As we follow Aziraphale and Crowley on their journey, the universe warps and their usual left and right side positioning switches during the magic show (not accidentally an act of trust and sacrifice required both from the angel and the demon). They stay so throughout the next scene, which is their little dance in the air, and after they seemingly get settled on the A. Z. Fell and Co.’s roof and back to normal, the flipped sky in the background suggests that something’s not quite right yet. In the central part of the shot looms a large, humanlike shadow of the Elephant Trunk Nebula.

The nebula is a part of a constellation called Cepheus, after an Ethiopian king from the Greek mythology who agreed to sacrifice his only daughter in order to appease the gods and end a local calamity started by her mother and his wife, Cassiopeia (talk about generational responsibility). With time and a delightfully ironic twist of fate, the name of said daughter, Andromeda, became more famous than that of her father. Although she was chained up to a rock and offered to the sea serpent Cetus, the girl was spotted by the warrior Perseus, casually flying over the sea — either on the back of the Pegasus or thanks to a pair of winged sandals — after his victory over Medusa. He fell in love on the spot, defeated the serpent (with the help of a magical sword or Medusa’s severed head, depending on the varying sources), and freed the princess. That’s not exactly where their story ends, but we won’t be getting into the rest here.

Not surprisingly, Neil has mentioned two parallel child sacrifice stories from the biblical context back in August. The first is one of the big ones — The Binding of Isaac. God's command to sacrifice Isaac, his only son, was a test of Abraham's faith. The angel of the Lord intervenes and provides a ram to be sacrificed in the boy’s place.

The second one isn’t nearly as popular, but you might have heard a variant of it in fairy tales or as the Law of Surprise invoked in The Witcher saga. In exchange for Israel’s victory over its enemies in battle, Jephthah had rashly promised God to repay the debt with the first thing seen on his return back home. The victorious warrior didn’t suspect to see his only child moving innocently "to meet him with timbrels and with dances" though. In horror, Jephthah covered his eyes with his cloak, but to no avail: ultimately, he was forced to honor his vow to God, and the girl was sacrificed. As grisly as it might look like in the Old Master’s paintings, it’s important to remember that human sacrifices weren’t limited to physical offerings only — Jephthah’s daughter might have been offered to God in the sense of officially shunning her family and dedicating her life to service instead, probably sequestered in a temple somewhere.

Interestingly, the main character of a big chunk of the Bible and the reason for the Second Coming happens to be THE most influential child sacrifice in the modern history. You know, a certain 33-year-old carpenter sent by his Heavenly Father to die on a cross for the sins of the mankind? Someone better call Aubrey Thyme ASAP.

Circling back to Aziraphale, he could be also seen as a representative of the concept of filial piety, since Eden willing to personally take a Fall not only for the humanity’s collective or individual transgressions, but the shortcomings of his Ineffable Parental Figure as well. Our favorite angel angel always fights for what is right and good, sure, but why would that be even a thing if God was truly omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent?

If Aziraphale’s medal is anything to go by, it looks like we might get an answer from the way it’s introducing another mythological narrative into the game, that is the story of Daedalus and Icarus. The most absorbing thing about this is the stark contrast to the recurring child sacrifice references for S3 mentioned in this post — Daedalus isn’t a father who wanted to sacrifice his son, it was his attempt to save him from imprisonment that ultimately drove Icarus to his death. The boy ignored his father’s explicit instructions, committing the grave and culturally universal sin of disobedience to one's parents that simply couldn’t go unpunished, one way or another.

But Icarus’s transgression could be seen both as high-flying ambition and striving for personal accomplishment as well as humanitarian sacrifice for knowledge and humanity’s advancement in general.

Similarly to a certain angel who left everything for what superficially seems like a work promotion, but is the ultimate act of love — both for his demon and the children they have been protecting and nurturing together for six thousand years. From the very Beginning, his white wings have been shielding everything he holds dear in this world.

Any sort of r4pe or 4ssault/ non-con. I might delve into dub-con but there will still be a basis of consent (like a previous discussion or understanding). 

Any sort of incest. That includes step-cest. Absolutely not. 

Illegal age gaps or hard age gaps and ageplay. This includes an 18 year old/ barely legal with anyone over 24. My age gaps will always be 20+ if it includes someone the age of 30 or over. I will also not do any sort of ddlg or “littles”. It’s not my forte and I especially won’t do it if you sexualize it.

On the topic of age, all characters (including reader) will be 18+ when it comes to smut or sexual-related fics. I will try to add this warning when it is crucial to specific characters, but please know that all characters that you request smut of that are originally minors WILL be aged up and that will be depicted inside the fic. There is no exceptions to this rule.

MLM, (T)MLM, (T)FLM, etc. are a no for me. As AFAB I only know how to write for the cis-fem experience and while I love my gays and theys, I just don’t feel comfortable in my ability to do gay or trans/ trans-gay relationships justice. I also don’t feel that it’s my place to write for them. On this note, most of my fics will be reader x male character related but that does not mean that I won't write F4F just because that's in my comfort zone and I understand that experience better.

Too specific of reader details. This also goes into what I said above, but I will no write for race or body type specific readers. I am a cis-white averagely sized woman and while I’m a hard ally, I genuinely just don’t believe I can accurately depict those experiences or people so I will always try and keep the reader as blank as possible so that anyone who reads my fics can be in that character’s shoes.

Tangent: Sadly, I don’t write lots of GN fics just because as a writer I DO insert myself into the story because visualization is how I write. So often the reader will be fem and may have more euro-centric features, typically unintentional. If you have a problem with that, I recommend you find another writer to consume/ create your fic ideas or make your own. (Please do, we need more writers in the EP fandom. This is tough work, truly.)

Theresa is not superstitious. It's easy not to be, in a small boring town like hers, until it isn't anymore. Scott McCall makes first line, Allison Argent blows into town, and suddenly everything is topsy turvy.

There is, first of all, the devastation of watching her crush get a girlfriend. She knows she doesn't have a claim on Scott, obviously, but that's kind of the worst part; even if she'd made a move, it wouldn't have mattered. When she got hit with a lacrosse ball last year during their shared practice, he'd run to help her, and a year later, she still couldn't stop thinking about it; Scott, on the other hand, was always helping someone do something, and probably hadn't thought about it since. She wasn't rooting for the guy to be unhappy, obviously, but pining had been a lot easier when no one else noticed him.

There is also the unfortunate fact that Theresa, generally, seems to be noticing a lot more these days. It's hard to accept that the rash of attacks in her town are really animals when she keeps seeing flashes of men with teeth. It's hard to focus when her thigh itches even though there's no scab there. It's hard to enjoy school dances when she has the deep, deep feeling that something is wrong. It's hard to talk to her friends when none of them are seeing what she's seeing and it's hard to figure out what she knows about what's going on when she has gaps in her memory. She'd read once that brains will sometimes do that to protect you, but she doesn't feel safer.

But it doesn't matter. Men don't have sharp teeth and she doesn't have any marks on her body and superstitions don't mean anything. This will pass, as it always does, and Beacon Hills will be boring again.

If Lydia Martin hadn't almost bled out on the lacrosse field the night of the formal, she might've been able to believe that.

highlights of my life so far: sirius black rp acc following me back wtf, loads of people that i admire following me back, getting 1000 hits on a fic i wrote, getting tickets to the eras tour, getting SIGNED TTPD LIKE WHAT THE HELL, managing to get signed short n sweet an HOUR after it dropped
