Dracula Pere et Fils/Dracula and Son is a French comedy that represents Lee’s 9th and final outing as a version of Dracula. He has fun here but if the movie was better and funnier he’d have more to play with. Not great.

A random, though sad, sequelette to this AU of Eternity Ring. Andrew and Sam in Peckham AU, paralleing Eternity ring TW; discussion of infertility
"By-the-by Dad." Andrew said in a very private, low voice as they walked along one of the Peckham streets "It would be best if you didn't make any mention or allusion about us and children tonight."
He looked across at his son, saw anew the heaviness in eyes and carriage, which hadn't been there when he'd left for America. Ah. He made only the low humm of agreement in his throat. Oh unfair world, to do this to them.
Andrew walked on in silence for a while, the pain nearly masked in his eyes, and then the words quietly burst out, "The doctor," and Andrew's tone gave the title the darkness of several crude adjectives, "says there's little likelihood of anything changing in that regard, ever." His shoulders were stiff, but still bruised and bowed somehow, "Sam's very cut up about it."
Not just Sam, nor for Sam's sake I think, The haunting in the eyes said it. But for the moment he supressed it. Andrew didn't want sympathy, he just wanted to unburden himself a little, the boy who had always had a good heart, buried deep and yet running quick to the surface.
And what can I say, really? That you Andrew, weren't our sole child by choice, but by Not-Happenstance. And I'd guess something similar for Sam, given the relative age gap between her and her parents. It's written in the family history if you know to look. And I wish it wasn't.
He considered his son, who was lifting his head and raising a hand as they turned on to the little close, waving and calling out- considered Sam as she stood at the front of the house they approached. Pale, drained, her spark stirred up for a good impression. The way she was with Jimmy, with the scavangers. Oh wretched world- they would have been wonderful parents. She hails him, appearing as bright as ever to an untrained eye
"Christopher, it's so good to have you back. Welcome Home -to England at least."
He embraced her, thin, kissed her on the cheek "Sam."

Not to take attention away from Hispanics, but re: people saying "neopronouns only exist in english"
French also has neopronouns! They aren't commonly used afaik, and the language is still structured around the speakers gender in a way that means they have to choose either masculine or feminine nouns/adjectives, but people have the option if using iel instead of il or elle, and I've met multiple people who use iel. Iel is a singular gender neutral pronoun.
if non-hispanics reblogged it would help a ton!
so, i've been noticing lately that english speakers that don't support neopronouns have been saying stuff like "neopronouns are for americans, no one else uses neopronouns in other languages! they're confusing to non-natives!" and it honestly upsets me SO MUCH, because that's simply not true! neopronouns exist all around the world, and i'm here to speak for hispanic neopronoun users as an argentine myself.
spanish has neopronouns, hispanics use neopronouns! it's not debatable!
spanish does not have an equivalent to they/them, "someone dropped their wallet, if i find them i'll give it back to them" would be "a alguien se le cayó su billetera, si lo encuentro se la devolveré" (someone dropped his wallet, if i find him i'll give it back to him).
so, since there's many non-binary people that felt like they needed a gender-neutral pronoun for themselves, elle/le was invented as opposed to él/lo.
as you may know, a neopronoun is a pronoun that is not official to a language (although some neopronouns may become official), and since elle/le is not official to spanish, it's a neopronoun to us.
and no, this isn't our only neopronoun.
we have others such as elli/li, ellu/lu, il/li, etc. that do not have a translation to english, kinda like how xe/xem, ze/zir, ae/aer, etc. do not have a translation to spanish.
and yes, these are actually used, and not only online: i've had many friends in my country that used these pronouns among nounself pronouns (a friend that used él/ella/elli/quack, another one that used elle/ella, etc.)
so, i've made an il/li/-i pronoun flag!
il/li are pronouns derived from italian, and they're one of the most common neopronouns around here!
[ID: On the left, there's flag with 5 stripes all of the same size, the colors of these stripes from top to bottom are: mint green, turquoise, white, light purple, and brown. The image on the right is the same flag with the color-meanings of each stripe, and from top to bottom, these are the meanings: Mint green - italian origins of the pronouns, Turquoise - disabled and neurodivergent users, White - neopronouns around the world, Light purple - trans hispanics, and Brown - people of color hispanics. End ID]
this is the flag with its meanings, any hispanic / spanish-speaker that IDs with these pronouns is free to use it!
#French is. its so gendered. oh my god.#elle est une chanteuse est elle est avec sa soeur.#she(f) is a(f) singer(f) and she(f) is with her(f but it depends on the gender of the other person) sister(f)#to explain her i mean like you could say la femme et son(m) fils (the woman and her son). like the posessive word depends on who/what is#being posessed.#like regardless of gender id say ma mere (my (f) mother) or mon pere (my (m) father)#elles sont à le parc. they(f) are at the park.

“Keurgui defoufi 1 F…”

Young Qibli:Gran-Pere! is it true?! is it true what the children at school say? that you are mercenary! that you and mama KILL people?
Vulture:oh little Qibli, it is much more than killing people! It has many complicated facets. I once helped topple a fascist south pantalan government in a week! I mean…it was replaced by another in two, but I still got paid
Young Qibli:But Gran-Pere! Mon fellow schoolchildren, they taunt and bully me for it!
Vulture:WAIT QUOI??? HOW ARE YOU NOT THE COOLEST KID IN SCHOOL?!
Who is it who dares to mock you? Is it that son of the butcher jean paul?! Perhaps that little piggy shall find a grenade in his lunchbox, soon as he opens it it will pull the pin
Young Qibli:…please do not kill my friends
Vulture:Oh Mon Cher petit-fils!
IM not going to do it
Young Qibli:…Quoi?
(to present)
Moon:…oh my god???
Qibli:Relax! it was a flash bang!
Moob:why were you french?
Qibli:It was a sandwing trend at the time
I cannot even BEGIN to imagine where this might be from.

ok why does everyone keep saying Alexander Dumas wrote La Dame aux Camelias? that wasn't him! that was his son Alexander Dumas fils! like are they skipping over the fils because they do have the same name? but it's so weird because when we say Alexander Dumas we automatically think of Alexander Dumas pere who wrote The Three Musketeers. he's the one who gets to be just Alexander Dumas because he's the father. people need to specify when talking about the son!
#this might just be a me thing#but c'mon am I wrong here?#when you hear Alexander Dumas do you think about the guy who wrote The Three Musketeers or the guy who wrote La Dame aux Camelias?

Bill Clinton in his too-long speech at the Democratic National Convention pointed to something I thought significant:
"Since the end of the Cold War in 1989, America has created about 51 million new jobs. I swear I checked this three times. Even I couldn’t believe it. What’s the score? Democrats 50, Republicans 1."
I searched for it to get the quote right. Something the search revealed is the press has fact-checked the shit out of hia observation.. All agree that what he said is true, yet almost all contend it's misleading.
Who could have predicted the economic recession in Bush pere's administration? Who could have predicted the housing bubble and global financial crisis of Bush fils' administration? Certainly not Alan Greenspan!
The political reporting this time around is truly awful and broken.

Apollon: Salut fiston =)
Asclépios: Pere?
Apollon: Dis bonjour à ton nouveau petit frère, Astyanax
Asclépios: Père? Qui est la mère? ou tu as eu ce bébé toi-même? Tu l'as adopté?
Apollon be like
Un très bon AU. Que j'approuve et accepte dorénavant comme canon (moi ? traumatisée par n'importe quelle scène de mort d'Astyanax et qui a plein de feels en écoutant Just a Man ? Naaaaah)
Hermès, mangeant du pop corn (parce que les Grecs anciens ont toujours été en avance sur leur temps) et observant les différentes réactions des Olympiens : Haha good for you bro
