I promised to start telling the lore of the pirate au, but I have a no idea how to do it carefully... Let me introduce you to the main pirate team for now! Let’s start with our main hero - Hinata Hajime!
Tumblr media
Hinata Hajime is the second son of an aristocratic family. Unlike his older brother, he was not particularly successful in anything. When he stopped enduring the eternal bickering with his father, he went to another country to study at the university. Who knew that going to a bar with fellow students would lead him to a pirate ship?.. The drunk students did not begin to figure out who was in front of them, and came into conflict with the pirates, after which they were captured. However, the conditions are quite civil: the parents pay the ransom — the unfortunate child is landed safe and sound on land. But this option was not very suitable for Hajime…
Therefore, in the end, he is the only one left on the ship as a servant in order to buy his own life. Although later he will take the position of navigator on the ship! Hajime will have to get acquainted with the life of pirates, crew members, and at the same time be puzzled by some secrets
Tumblr media
The captain of the pirate ship himself! The conqueror of the Six Great Seas, a one-eyed shooter and just a living legend!
Fuyuhiko has been sailing on the Star Dragon for 20 years. He lost almost his entire family, previous crew and ship in an incident involving Countess Enoshima herself. Cap dreams of putting a bullet in her forehead, while simultaneously trying to get information from Junko about whether his younger sister is still alive or not.
In fact, the Star Dragon is not just a bunch of sea bandits. They are mercenaries in the service of one of the states (in France they were called corsairs). So most often their target is warships. But others are not averse to profit.
Tumblr media
The quartermaster of the ship is at your service🥰
Peko got on a pirate ship when she was very young, when the crew rescued her after a shipwreck. The girl belonged to a famous family of knights in the past. Kuzuryu's father left her on the ship and raised her as a warrior who would protect his children.
As a result, after the tragedy, Peko is the only survivor from Fuyuhiko's previous crew. He values her very much, and she is still ready to put her head in the defense of her captain.
Quartermaster is a significant position on the ship. At its core, he shares the duties of the captain, is responsible for the condition of the ship, is in the very center of the fighting during the attack, the distribution of loot and determines the punishment for guilty pirates. And also executes this punishment.
Tumblr media
The gunner and just the main combat unit on the ship 🔥
Akane was one of the street children wandering around the port city, surviving by selling caught fish and stealing. And one day, hunger forced Owari to try to steal food from the sailors who had just arrived at the port. How could a little girl know that they were pirates?
But Fuyuhiko liked such arrogance and fighting spirit, so he took the girl on the ship. The promise to feed turned out to be more than enough for this. Thus, Akane spent a significant part of her life on the ship, she was actually raised by Fuyuhiko.
The gunner on the ship is responsible for the condition of the guns and gunpowder, that is, for combat capability. But Akane likes hand-to-hand combat much more. Akane dreams of a duel with the captain, but for this it is necessary to defeat Peko, which she has not yet succeeded
Tumblr media
Boatswain, forward looking and sea rat (nickname from the captain)!
Nagito is another "foster child" on a pirate ship. He was born into an aristocratic family, but his parents tragically died. Having lost the influence of his name, Nagito became a servant to a rich man. The relationship between the servants in this house was extremely strained, so in order to survive, they had to be cunning and adapt to the situation. But in the end, everything turned out so that the man was killed one day, and Nagito was taken on board the ship as a servant. But the boy adapted extremely successfully to the new conditions, with the help of Peko he learned how to use daggers, and simply showed himself to be an extremely brainy and rather cruel pirate.
Nagito spends most of his time up there under sail, because he doesn't really like interacting with the team. He plays the role of a boatswain — monitors the condition of sails, cables, and gives signals to other ships. He can also play the role of an executioner, in case of a crew member's fault.
Tumblr media
The ship's carpenter
Kazuichi was an ordinary country boy, lived with his grandfather and did woodwork. However, in his youth, the wind was walking in his head, so he drank a lot and was a rowdy. Which, in the end, his grandfather could not stand and died. Kazuichi took it all extremely painfully, went into an even heavier binge because of his worthlessness.
On one such day, pirates came into the bar. They were looking for new people to join the crew, including a carpenter. A drunken Kazuichi agreed to take such a job. He sobered up already on the ship, and it was… Not a very gentle awakening. He swore to himself never to drink like that again.
Tumblr media
The ship's doctor
Mikan was the daughter of a doctor. Unfortunately, not a particularly beloved one. However, she liked to help people and study medicine, she had a dream to travel the world in search of medicinal herbs and various discoveries.
One day, on the street, she came across a wounded young man. Mikan brought him to her house and began to take care of him. It was only when he woke up that she found out that she had sheltered a pirate. However, it was more important for her to provide help, so she continued to nurse him. By the time of his correction, it turned out that Mikan was going to be married to a not particularly pleasant person. Fate smiled on her, because the young pirate whom she had saved returned for her and took her to the ship with him. The team needed a doctor anyway.
Tumblr media
Teru
A randomly picked piggy during one of the crew's forays for supplies. He followed Peko, and she took him on board the ship. The team planned to make a dinner out of it, but it turned out that the piglet copes perfectly with the role of a cat and perfectly destroys rats. So he was given the name Teru and left as an important member of the crew guarding supplies.

Why does NO one ever talk about the fact that THE MASK (LIKE JIM CARREY'S) is in the ROGUES podcast???
He has a lot of DC crossovers!
He's made by Dark Horse comics.
Tumblr media
WHEN WAYLON MEETS THE, MYSTERIOUS SAVIOR FROM THOSE POLICE MEN.
Just. Look at the transcript for a sec-
All the stuff that almost entirely proves it's The Mask is highlighted in green.
"???: Gotham’s Shady Underbelly! Are the police on someone else’s payroll? Or is there more to this story than meets the eye? More at 11!
OFFICER: Who the fuck is this guy?
???: BUT FIRST! It’s time to get… JUICY!
OFFICER2: Take him down! [Our hero smacks two guards out cold]
???: Tonight in Gotham, a group of six police officers were seen attacking a single green man. [gunshot]
???: Ooh! Make that five officers. Is this racial profiling, or a justified act? Your comment!
OFFICER3: I.. uh..
???: WRONG! [punch] BA-DA-BA-DA-DA-DA! [CHEERS] That’s three down, with one player on timeout from a little friendly fire! It’s two against one in this BATTLE ROYALE ON THE STREETS OF GOTHAM CITY! BUT WHO WILL EMERGE VICTORIOUS!?
OFFICER2: Who are you?
???: I’M THE YELLOW FELLOW WITH THE MELLOW BELLOW! HERE TO SAVE MY BELOVED CITY, WHILE LOOKING SSSSSSSSMOLDERING. Is that overdone? I CAN NEVER TELL! [takedown] OOOOH! ONE LEFT. The pinnacle moment! YOU CAN BREATHE, YOU CAN BLINK, YOU CAN CRY, BUT YOU CAN’T OUTRUN THESE BUNS, HUN! HA HA HA!!! [knocks the guard down]
OFFICER5: Please! Let me go!
???: Sure thing, spanky! Just… one more question. Earl Grey or Orange Pekoe?
OFFICER5: What?
???: BECAUSE HERE COMES THE TEABAG! [AIRHORN] [crack] Oops. Guess that’s why they call me THE NUTCRACKER. Here’s a band-aid, son. Should stop the oozing.
[Waylon grunts]
???: Oh my dear soul. It’s not easy being green, but HERE! It’s dangerous to go alone, take THIS!"
The Mask INFAMOUSLY turns green when the mask possess their person (all of the comments about being green make a lot more sense now, right?), and within the comics he regularly wears a yellow suit (See comic cover above), thus the comment about being a yellow fellow.
And the, SSSSSSSSMOLDERING comment is a callback to the movie(?) I believe.
He's also bullet proof, from what I know, so when the police shoot at him it either bounces off or goes right through him. Hence the death in that scene too-
The Mask, from his comics, is generally known as an all-over-the-place type character in the same kind of world, but it is some of the FUNNIEST and most over the top idiot revenge fantasies I've ever read. I got into the mask as a character when I was but a smaller tween. It was perfect for a rageful kid like me. The movies were my favorite things for a long time.
SO THE FACT THAT NO ONE TALKS ABOUT THE MASK BEING IN THE ROGUES! PODCAST MAKES ME THINK THAT EITHER; PEOPLE DONT KNOW, OR THEY DONT CARE.
AND EITHER OPTION IS SOMETHING I CANT LET STAND. BECAUSE THE MASK IS HILARIOUS.
@codotafterdark @voiceboss I NEED TO KNOW IF IM RIGHT.
ITS THE MASK, RIGHT? RIGHT?
IM FALLING INTO LUNACY.

Thinking about the mini senpais and how that affects the order of deaths (a little like in the mini THH au). Chapter 1 with Sayaka will probably be the same as canon and as you described. My main big first difference I think will be a change in Mondo and Taka’s relationship.
Like Taka is learning to be gentle with Mikan, and is also protective of her in general. And Mikan will probably find Mondo to be scary as well. On Mondo’s side, while Fuyuhiko and Mondo will buttheads, the yakuza is gonna be on Mondo’s side when it comes to anything Taka says, so their initial rivalries will probably be way worse influenced by their senpais.
There’s also Chihiro deciding to train himself. I think he would talk to Kazuichi about it, and the latter is like “There’s no way you can train with Mondo!! He’s a super scary guy and has got that Yakuza whispering in his ear!” I think Kazuichi convinces Chihiro to talk to Taka instead, mostly so that they can get help from Nekomaru (who has since been adopted by Taka) but I think Kazuichi would argue that the “moral compass” would never murder even if he can be annoying.
Toko tells Byakuya about Genocider Syo like canon, but also to ask him if he can look after Gundham if something happens to her. I’m not sure how Gundham would feel but I’m sure he would be concerned for Toko’s wellbeing. And Sonia would be so excited to meet THE Genocider Syo (sort of).
I’m not sure who would kill in chapter 2. Mondo could still have his break down and accidentally kill someone again, it just might be a different target. (Shit what if it’s Fuyuhiko?! He accidentally gets squashed!!)
This could all be different if Nagito gets the idea to share the secrets and tells Makoto to suggest it. But it’s Nagito so rather than to prevent deaths it’s more to see if the ultimates can overcome the despair of their secrets. So everyone gets to find out that Makoto wet the bed until 5th grade. Nagito’s reaction to that might be funny. Though sadly I don’t think it gets anyone else to fess up cuz everyone else’s are all a lot worse.
Anyway thanks to reading my gasbagging.
This is all golden, yes!
As much as I love Ishimondo (both as a platonic pair and a romantic one), I gotta agree that they probably wouldn't fall together as easily during this.
Although! I just imagined a version of the sauna scene where, in addition to asking Makoto to witness, they also have him hold their senpais for them (so, Nagito's on one shoulder, Fuyuhiko's on the other, Mikan's standing in the palm of his hand, and he's holding Taka's basket with Ibuki, Peko, and Nekomaru in the crook of his arm), and I find it really funny to imagine. Some of them are really invested in the endurance contest (Nekomaru asks for a higher vantage point, and Makoto only has so much shoulder space, so he's placed on top of Makoto's head.), and Ibuki is really affectionate toward Makoto because she feels bad about what happened with Sayaka.
And either Taka and Mondo end the contest early because Makoto has to go to bed so they have to take their senpais back, because the senpais are their responsibility, or, when Makoto says it's nighttime and he wants to go back to his room, Nekomaru shouts "SLEEPOVER!" and Makoto cares for six miniature people that night.
Either way, I agree with you that Taka and Mondo wouldn't get as close, at least not as quickly, as they do in canon. (I just had to include the sauna thing because the idea was fun for me, lol.) They're on more of a gradual enemies to friends or enemies to lovers track, which may or may not have time to reach its destination, because killing game.
Mikan doesn't like to be around Mondo, but Peko wants to be near Fuyuhiko and so advocates that they spend more time with Mondo, and Taka cares about everyone getting a voice, so when it's Peko's turn to choose, he offers to let Mikan hide in his pocket or back in the terrarium in his room. But she wants to stay with him.
Just to set some stuff up, in the social landscape of Chapter 2, Hifumi has been making little outfits because Celeste is now coping by living vicariously through Chiaki. So, she has Chiaki playing dress-up for her, styling after her, etc. Chiaki insists on continuing to wear her cat hoodie with the gothic lolita dresses, but other than that she's a pretty good sport about everything.
(Hifumi was given Celeste's sewing kit to do this, and he gave her his tool kit in trade. There was probably some joke about him being dominated, or giving away his manhood, or something like that, because I can't imagine Danganronpa would pass that up without comment.)
Aoi also asks Hifumi to make some tiny clothes, because she's worried that Akane's clothes don't fit her right. (When she asks Akane about it, Akane agrees that they don't really fit but basically says that they've always been like that so she's used to it.)
And since Hifumi interacts with both of them really respectfully and works really diligently, Mahiru is praising him for being reliable, and basically Hifumi has been swimming in female attention this chapter and does not know what to do with himself.
When Mondo accidentally upsets Chihiro, and Taka mentions that Mikan is scared of Mondo, Hifumi probably makes a joke about how some guys just don't know how to act around women.
(And there's no "ironic coming from you" response, because Hifumi is genuinely doing pretty great about that.)
Mondo blushes, but he's also like, "Hey, shut up! F you!" and stuff.
Byakuya is isolating himself from the group because he doesn't trust them, but Sonia is so bored with this. She is way too social to just be going straight from his room to the library and back every single day. As a result, Byakuya is more lenient with letting other people talk to him, for her sake.
This is mostly Makoto. He talks with Makoto, and Sonia with Nagito. Nagito talks with Sonia about the killing game, and how there's tons of historical precedent for royalty enjoying blood sport, and how the group is reaching their potential. She knows there's something off about him, but she's starved for social interaction and also this talk of royals and blood sport does appeal to her, in a perverse way.
It's an interesting vibe, because Makoto is bringing Byakuya slightly down to earth, and Sonia is slightly softening Byakuya's edge, but Nagito is making Sonia slightly less down to earth, and Byakuya is sharpening her edge. They're reaching a weird middle ground where Byakuya is less of a jerk and Sonia is less kind.
As a result of this, Byakuya orders Makoto to come sit with him every day. Sonia needs conversation, and also Byakuya has decided that he wants Makoto to make it out of here with him (to be his servant, of course), so he wants to keep Makoto close. Makoto still takes meals with the group, still mediates the sauna thing for Taka and Mondo, but he spends a lot of time in the library with Byakuya, this chapter.
He's still barred from the archive room, or whatever that room was called.
Then we do get the motive about revealing secrets.
Yes, Chihiro trains with Taka. Wholesome workouts for them!
Toko does tell Byakuya about Syo. Obviously, she waits for a time when Makoto isn't around, but Nagito finds out because Sonia is buzzing next time he talks to her, and while she of course doesn't tell him Toko's secret, her explanation for why she's excited gives him all the pieces to figure it out. He might sprinkle her with pepper, like I mentioned last time, which might cause a killing, if he gets a chance to explain to her that her secret will be revealed otherwise.
I think Mondo would seriously be considering killing someone to protect his secret. Like, I imagine him pacing in his room, not wanting to kill anyone but thinking about what would happen to the Crazy Diamond if it got out.
Fuyuhiko puts aside his prickly demeanor and fully becomes both the older student and the professional criminal. "Okay, so you want to kill someone. Are you ready to seriously follow through? You think you can cover up a murder, if it means everyone in your class dies? If you fail, and you die, what happens to your gang then?"
Mondo decides he definitely shouldn't kill someone. Whatever happens when the secret is revealed, he'll face it like a man. Because he's strong. He's a man, and he's strong. (He's hanging by a thread, but his commitment to specifically not killing someone is strengthened by his talk with Fuyuhiko.)
Optional zag, which isn't entirely in character but just the outline of a murder that can happen:
Little does he know! During the senpais' sleepover with Makoto, Nagito planted some seeds by bringing up Fuyuhiko's sister, the "mysterious" circumstances of her death, and just generally musing that the senpais aren't really a part of the killing game in the same way the others are. Fuyuhiko's trying to be there for his kouhai, but lowkey he is also pretty riled up.
So maybe he suggests that Mondo let out his frustration by (non-lethally) punching that guy who insulted him in front of everybody. After all, Hifumi "looks like he can take a hit", and it's been a long time coming. (Fuyuhiko might have said something like "You gonna let him say that sh!t to you?" when it happened.) If Mondo is keyed up about the motive, then just punching someone who deserves it should make him feel better, and then he can move on.
(Fuyuhiko isn't really aiming to kill Mahiru, at least not consciously, but if Hifumi does fall over and crush Mahiru to death by accident, then that's not a murder in terms of the killing game; Hifumi broke the rule about losing his senpai, but Mondo and Fuyuhiko aren't guilty of anything.)
In this situation, I'm imagining Hifumi brings Mahiru to Taka, hoping Mikan can do something to help her, and Hifumi leaves Mahiru with them and gets killed while he's away. So, Taka shows up to breakfast the next morning with Hifumi's senpai, not knowing that Hifumi is dead. The killer could be Sakura or Toko. Technically, it could also be Hiro. It doesn't feel in character for it to be Hiro, but I also don't have anything else for him to do.
(If Toko is the Chapter 2 killer, then Byakuya takes Gundham once she's executed; Sonia wanted him under their protection.)
But hey, the headline is, Chihiro and Mondo probably survive Chapter 2! And maybe Mikan can help Mahiru. But everything I said after "optional zag" isn't set in stone, lol.

Padmé: I just don’t know what to tell Leia, she’s never had a pet die before.
Lionel: well how did your parents explain it to you?
Padmé: *heavy sigh* the wrong way. When I was six, my pet peko-peko died, and I was devastated. That night my dad sat on the edge of my bed and said, “dying is just going to sleep and never waking up”.
Padmé: then he turned off the light and said goodnight.

Students strive for “Balance!” in a lively product showcase
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On an otherwise dark and rainy Monday night, attendees packed Kresge Auditorium for a lively and colorful celebration of student product designs, as part of the final presentations for MIT’s popular class 2.009 (Product Engineering Processes).
With “Balance!” as its theme, the vibrant show attracted hundreds of attendees along with thousands more who tuned in online to see students pitch their products.
The presentations were the culmination of a semester’s worth of work in which six student teams were challenged to design, build, and draft a business plan for a product, in a process meant to emulate what engineers experience as part of a design team at a product development firm.
“This semester, we pushed the six teams to step outside of their comfort zones and find equilibrium between creativity and technical rigor, all as they embarked on a product engineering process journey,” said 2.009 lecturer Josh Wiesman.
Trying to find a balance
The course, known on campus as “two-double-oh-nine,” marks a colorful end to the fall semester on campus. Each team, named after a different color, was given mentors, access to makerspaces, and a budget of $7,500 to turn their ideas into working products. In the process, they learned about creativity, product design, and teamwork.
Various on-stage demonstrations and videos alluded to this year’s theme, from balance beam walks to scooter and skateboard rides.
“Balance is a word that can be used to describe stability, steadiness, symmetry, even fairness or impartiality,” said Professor Peko Hosoi, who co-instructed the class with Wiesman this semester. “Balance is something we all strive for, but we rarely stop to reflect on. Tonight, we invite you to reflect on balance and to celebrate the energy and creativity of each student and team.”
Safety first
The student products spanned industries and sectors. The Red Team developed a respirator for wildland firefighters, who work to prevent and control forest fires by building “fire lines.” Over the course of long days in challenging terrain, these firefighters use hand tools and chainsaws to create fire barriers by digging trenches, clearing vegetation, and other work based on soil and weather conditions. The team’s respirator is designed to comfortably rest on a user’s face and includes a battery-powered air filter the size of a large water bottle that can fit inside a backpack.
The mask includes a filter and a valve for exhalations, with a hose that connects to the blower unit. Team members said their system provides effective respiratory protection against airborne particles and organic vapors as users’ work. Each unit costs $40 to make, and the team plans to license the product to manufacturers, who can sell directly to fire departments and governments.
The Purple Team presented Contact, a crash-detection system designed to enhance safety for young bicycle riders. The device combines hardware and smart algorithms to detect accidents and alert parents or guardians. The system includes features like a head-sensing algorithm to minimize false alerts, plus a crash-detection algorithm that uses acceleration data to calculate injury severity. The compact device is splashproof and dustproof, includes Wi-Fi/LTE connectivity, and can run for a week on a single charge. With a retail price of $75 based on initial production of 5,000 units, the team plans to market the product to schools and outdoor youth groups, aiming to give young riders more independence while keeping them safe.
On ergonomics and rehabilitation
The Yellow Team presented an innovative device for knee rehabilitation. Their prototype is an adjustable, wearable device that monitors patients’ seated exercises in real-time. The data is processed by a mobile app and shared with the patient’s physical therapist, enabling tailored feedback and adjustments. The app also encourages patients to exercise each day, tracks range of motion, and gives therapists a quick overview of each patient’s progress. The product aims to improve recovery outcomes for postsurgery patients or those undergoing rehabilitation for knee-related injuries.
The Blue Team, meanwhile, presented Band-It, an ergonomic tool designed to address the issue of wrist pain among lobstermen. With their research showing that among the 20,000 lobstermen in North America, 1 in 3 suffer from wrist pain, the team developed a durable and simple-to-use banding tool. The product would retail for $50, with a manufacturing cost of $10.50, and includes a licensing model with 10 percent royalties plus a $5,000 base licensing fee. The team emphasized three key features: ergonomic design, simplicity, and durability.
Underwater solutions
Some products were designed for the sea. The Pink Team presented MARLIN (Marine Augmented Reality Lens Imaging Network), a system designed to help divers see more clearly underwater. The device integrates into diving masks and features a video projection system that improves visibility in murky or cloudy water conditions. The system creates a 3D-like view that helps divers better judge distances and depth, while also processing and improving the video feed in real-time to make it easier to see in poor conditions. The team included a hinged design that allows the system to be easily removed from the mask when needed.
The Green Team presented Neptune, an underwater communication device designed for beginner scuba divers. The system features six preprogrammed messages, including essential diving communications like “Ascend,” “Marine Life,” “Look at Me,” “Something’s Off,” “Air,” and “SOS.” The compact device has a range of 20 meters underwater, can operate at depths of up to 50 meters, and runs for six hours on a battery charge. Built with custom electronics to ensure clear and reliable communications underwater, Neptune is housed in a waterproof enclosure with an intuitive button interface. The communications systems will be sold to dive shops in packs of two for $800. The team plans to have dive shops rent the devices for $15 a dive.
“Product engineers of the future”
Throughout the night, spectators in Kresge cheered and waved colorful pompoms as teams demonstrated their prototypes and shared business plans. Teams pitched their products with videos, stories, and elaborate props.
In closing, Wiesman and Hosoi thanked the many people behind the scenes, from lab instructors and teaching assistants to those working to produce the night’s show. They also commended the students for embracing the rigorous and often chaotic coursework, all while striving for balance.
“This all started a mere 13 weeks ago with ideation, talking to people from all walks of life to understand their challenges and uncover problems and opportunities,” Hosoi said. “The class’s six phases of product design ultimately turned our students into product engineers of the future.”

ASOOT Timeline: February 2013 (A Dilemma of the Highest Moral Order)
Hey, guys, remember me? Well I’m back with most of the Price of Fate arc (all except the last day, because that is not done yet). Please enjoy!–Timeline Anon
February 4:
At 6 AM, Umeko takes all of her time travel research out of her lab at Hope’s Peak. Some is transferred to her house, and the rest is trashed.
The news is out to the public regarding the Harumi-Emina class swap. Now, the Steering Committee is getting injunctions from the police department, and they debate whether or not to allow an investigation on campus. Their collective freakout is interrupted by Masa and Koichi, and Koichi delivers Jin’s decision: all future Hope’s Peak attendees will be approved by Jin and Koichi, the Steering Committee will no longer have any say in that, all current and upcoming attendees will be examined to see why they were chosen, the mass investigation will happen, and the Steering Committee will transfer executive power to Jin. Eventually, the Steering Committee does agree to this in an effort to save the school’s reputation. The investigation will begin after school. After Mass and Koichi leave, the Steering Committee reassure themselves that the school will be fine, as even if the Diet freezes their assets, they have benefactors overseas. There are also hints that they might be planning something regarding Masa.
Masa updates Chiaki, Suzuko, and Taro about the morning’s events. As the investigation is set to begin, it’s mentioned that criminal talents are most likely going to be expelled and barred from attending for the most part. Chiaki vouches for Mondo, and Koichi says that he’ll probably be all right to attend, but Fuyuhiko and Peko’s future at Hope’s Peak is in jeopardy because of this investigation. Suzuko and Taro will inform the rest of the Student Council, who will in turn inform everyone else. Chiaki advises Masa to take care of herself.
The original Ultimate Lucky Student is revealed to be a girl by the name of Umi Domoto, who is lucky but also quite unlucky and has been in the hospital often.
Masa briefly meets with Estu in Conference Room 37. Estu is revealed to have swiped the Izuru Kamukura Project Personnel File, containing the names and profiles of everyone associated with the project, from the Steering Committee while Masa distracted them. She doesn’t feel safe at school anymore, so she’s going to stay with Mayumi for a while.
In the afternoon, the Quantum Crew meets in the Void Warehouse. Hajime’s finally ungrounded. Nikei’s mad at Umeko for sharing her time travel research with the world, as that caused Yasuke and Masa to figure them out. Umeko assures him that the information never left Hope’s Peak. Then, they all reconnect with the 2030 crew, and Sunako finally explains exactly what she’s been keeping from them. It goes as follows:
A ship called the HMCS Apothegem, formerly of the Canadian military before being sold to a private buyer in Italy, became the personal lifeboat of the Preservation Project. The ship left Naples on New Years’ Day of 2025 and sank in the North Atlantic on December 9 of that same year. Only six survivors made it to nearby Greenland on the 14th, five days later: Sei Konno, Kanon Ota, Missy Vesper, Lyle D. Termina, Gaea Espere, and Echo Pine. Those six were the only survivors of a series of 50 killing games run aboard the ship by the Preservation Project, during which 445 Ultimates died.
The Preservation Project was hoping to cultivate someone who would display a special ability as a result of these games. They did find such a person in Echo Pine, who awakened precog powers not unlike Mikako’s during their game. It’s because of Echo that the Kisaragi Foundation was able to create their time machine in this future.
As Gaea Espere explains to the group, she was the one who sank the Apothegem after winning the 49th game and being forced to watch the 50th, and Echo proved vital to saving the few people they were able to save. After everyone escaped the ship, they hid out in Nuuk, Greenland for a while, where they were almost recaptured by the Preservation Project, but they were thankfully rescued by Mayumi, Masa, and the Kisaragi Foundation. They’ve had to stay in Japan under witness protection ever since. 2030’s Nikei is currently investigating the Apothegem’s wreckage to find out more information about the incident.
Takeharu Mizuta and Tsumugi Shirogane, as it turns out, were two of the biggest sponsors of the Preservation Project. The worst part is, in January of 2030, Tsumugi kidnapped Echo.
According to Mikako’s visions, Tsumugi will go on to produce 53 seasons of a killing game television show, starting with smaller shows but growing into bigger broadcasts by the 40s. Emma’s son Whit will end up in one of these games. Because she’s got Echo, Tsumugi will always see the Kisaragi Foundation coming, and she will keep copy-pasting her mind into many bodies across the world, so that the killing games become an international affair.
It won’t be until the fall of 2070 that the games will eventually end thanks to the cast of the 53rd season, which is entirely composed of the Quantum Crew’s descendants. These include Hajime and Hibiki’s granddaughter and Sayuri’s daughter Kaede (who’s also Natsumi’s granddaughter on her father Haruto’s side), Nikei and Taira’s granddaughter and Etsuya’s daughter Kirumi, Masa’s granddaughter Maki, and Sunako’s own grandson Kaito. It’s also mentioned that Kokichi Ouma is the grandson of Komaru (who marries Kasumi’s son Hirota), Korekiyo Shinguji is the grandson of Kikue and also Maki’s real boyfriend, Angie Yonaga is the granddaughter of Mio, Miu Iruma is the granddaughter of Miwa and Fumio (who both died in a car accident when she was young, possibly due to Ayumu’s bad luck), Ryoma Hoshi is the grandson of Kojikoji, and Tenko Chabashira is the granddaughter of Estu and Mayumi. All will be brainwashed with new identities that are purposeful insults to their ancestors.
After Nikei demands actual answers on why they should trust the 76 Squad, Sunako breaks down and tearfully reveals that Masa will be the only one to survive the war against Tsumugi. This is because of Hajime’s no-killing rule, which Tsumugi will take advantage of and circumvent at every turn, resulting in the deaths of every other member of the Quantum Crew. Masa will spend decades of her life fighting Tsumugi from the shadows, operating under a cover story involving her own “death” at the hands of the HSS, and she will lose everything and everyone else in her life in the process. Sayuri will also live, but only because she will cut ties with her family and go into hiding, partly because of resentment due to Kanade and partly because Hajime won’t kill Tsumugi. Her twin daughters, Kaede and Erika, will live in safety for a while before Tsumugi will find them too. In a surprise twist, they will grab Erika thinking that she’s Kaede, and it will be she who dies in Season 53. The real Kaede will live, but will never be the same.
There is no practical means to stop Tsumugi, according to Sunako. Not while she has Echo and her body-snatching ability. Their only chance is for the Quantum Crew to stop her in 2012…and Sunako says that she and Takeharu must be stopped, even if it means killing them. On the bright side, they have two extra days for the Takeharu mission, so there’s that.
As the 2030 crew logs off with the reminder that it wasn’t Hajime’s fault, Nikei is filled with regret for pressing Sunako on this, while Hajime remains desperately insistent that there must be another way to stop Tsumugi and Takeharu. Taira, Emma, and Nikei all angrily insist that the two Despairs must be killed for the sake of their families. Mikan and Yoruko manage to defuse the situation by suggesting that they all take some time to decompress. Hajime swears to use that time to think of a better way, and Yoruko drives him and Hibiki home. Kyoji will keep working on methods to counter Tsumugi’s technology. Sonia tells Nikei to think hard about whether or not he can really kill.
Hajime and Hibiki come home to his parents in tears. Yoruko tells Hiroshi and Keiko what happened and advises them to give them some space to think. Keiko says that her father, a private investigator named Daisuke Sato, is coming tomorrow to help with the mass investigation. Hajime is apprehensive, but glad that his Aunt Setsuna isn’t coming.
Late at night, Hajime cuddles with Hibiki and confides to her that he knew his no-killing rule would come into question at some point. He wants to know what Sunako meant when she said that this happened because of his actions, and when Hibiki asks why he’s never even considered the idea of murder, he admits that he’s still haunted by the Tragedy and wants to create a different world where they don’t have to rely on murder as a solution. He hopes that maybe if he finds out why the Despairs follow Junko, he can get them to turn on her. Either way, he doesn’t want to take life and death into his own hands, and he feels like if he kills even once, he can’t pretend to be a good person anymore. Tomorrow, he plans to do some research and ask around on the question. Hibiki comforts him; she’s also making plans to talk with Sayuri.
That night, Hajime has a terrible nightmare where specters of Apothegem survivors and casualties alike, along with Whit and Izuru, berate him for putting his no-killing rule above their lives. He sees Echo trapped in Tsumugi’s cage, begging for help, and wakes up screaming.
It’s Haruto and Jubei’s birthday. They turn 1.
February 5:
Hajime wakes up at 6:20, rather upset over the nightmare. He gets a surprise 2030 check-in from Sunako, who has been able to trace back the ancestry of 13 out of the 16 V3 participants. In addition to the ones already stated, Shuichi Saihara is the great-grandson of Yuka and the grandson of Tato, Tsubasa, Eito, and Tomoe, while Gonta is the grandson of Akane’s youngest sister Teruko. K1-B0 was originally a therapy robot created by an engineering company founded by Kazuichi, Chihiro, and Ayumi, but will be hijacked by Team Danganronpa (his head will manage to survive that final explosion at the end, though, so he won’t really die). The only three that they haven’t been able to trace so far are Rantaro Amami, Kiko Omigawa (the blue-haired girl who served as Tsumugi’s final vessel), and Himiko Yumeno. Sunako is curious as to their connection to the Quantum Crew and theorizes that they might not have met their ancestors yet.
It’s also mentioned that Kaori’s husband and Kikue’s husband will both be toxic assholes, and that Kaori will die of a postpartum hemorrhage giving birth to Kaito, while Kikue’s granddaughter (and Korekiyo’s sister) will die of an illness.
Because of self-consistency, the only way to stop the Preservation Project, Tsumugi’s killing game show, the Holy Salvation Society, etc. is to stop the circumstances leading up to them. What’s more, Sunako still isn’t sure what effect the current investigation will have on things. Hajime plans to talk to everyone who he knows have descendants in the V3 cast in hopes that he can get their perspective on things. Sunako says that she’ll be happy if he finds another solution, but also reminds him that they’re fighting to save thousands of lives and that he doesn’t have to take responsibility for the hardest choice if worst comes to worst.
Hajime gets Hibiki’s input on his list. She tells him that he probably shouldn’t talk to 2-year-old Teruko or 11-year-old Sunako, and also mentions that he should check on Miwa, as some of the comments the latter made during their ski trip makes Hibiki think that something bad happened to her.
Daisuke Sato arrives at the Hinata house, carrying a refrigerator with his bare hands. He’ll be staying for about a week or so, depending on how long the investigation takes. As Hajime assures his family that he’ll be all right, Chiaki and Nikei see the fridge incident from the bus stop. All three of them go with Daisuke to help with the investigation. The school is crawling with police and investigators right now, but Harumi is taking the lead.
Hajime briefs his friends on what he learned from Sunako, and he and Nikei have a quick debate about whether or not to kill Takeharu and Tsumugi. Nikei says that he has no problem dealing with this himself, but Hajime can’t ask him or anyone else to get involved. He asks for only two days, or at least until Nikei finds Takeharu. When asked about it, Nikei says that he thinks the Despairs should be killed, while Chiaki doesn’t know and wants a bit more time to think about it.
Mayumi indicates that she wants to talk to Hajime about something.
It seems that Class 77-B is under investigation right now. Teruteru is in trouble for the sexy soup incident, Hajime’s wanted for questioning in regards to the Twilight Syndrome incident, and Fuyuhiko and Peko are coming to terms with the fact that they’ll probably be expelled for their Yakuza connections. As Daisuke questions Teruteru, Hiyoko shows up and takes responsibility for putting the aphrodisiac in the soup. Hajime asks her if she’s sure about this, but Hiyoko tells him not to try and fix this for her, as it’s not his responsibility and he doesn’t have to fix everything, especially when it’s not even his fault. Hajime accepts her request, comforts her, and tells her to be careful.
Hajime tells Fuyuhiko about what happened last night and asks for his advice. Fuyuhiko advises him not to do anything that he’s not prepared to deal with and to ask for help if he needs it. He reassures him that he’s a good guy, thanks him again for saving his sister, and reminds him that he can’t save everyone.
Next, Hajime talks to Akane and Kazuichi. Akane, who’s used to violence from her childhood, wants to kill the Despairs herself, but advises Hajime to talk to her brother Hinata. Kazuchi reminds him that there isn’t always a third option, especially given how easy Tsumugi’s technology is to make.
Kyoji pulls Hajime into an empty classroom and begs for help. He asked Miaya to print off the records for his group therapy sessions, and now he needs to grab them, lest the police possibly find Kanade. What’s more, Eito and Tomoe are in the hallway getting asked questions about Eito’s mother. Kyoji asks Hajime to keep them busy while he grabs the papers.
Hajime goes to distract Eito and Tomoe, and Eito bemoans the fact that he still has no answers about what happened to his mom. He tells the story to Hajime and the cops, and Hajime immediately recognizes it as the Kamakura Project’s doing and mentally curses Kyoji for running away from Eito when he was asked about it. Eito just wants answers and doesn’t blame Kyoji, but would like to talk to him.
Meanwhile, Kyoji sneaks into the office and grabs all the printouts he needs. Just as he’s about to leave, he overhears Mai Shingetsu looking for Estu, and he immediately goes and confronts her. Hajime, Tomoe, and Eito hear the commotion and arrive in time to see Kyoji threaten to spill Mai’s secrets to the police if she doesn’t leave Estu alone. Even when she screams at him, he refuses to tell her, and Tomoe even gets some sass in before Mai storms off. Afterwards, Eito once again asks Kyoji about his mom, while Hajime encourages him to talk. Kyoji says that now is a bad time and that he needs to find Estu first, but gives Eito his number so that they can talk later.
Tomoe tells Hajime that he and Hope’s Peak were probably good for Hiyoko. Then, when Hajime asks her and Eito about murder, Tomoe says that she’d let the courts decide, and Eito agrees, saying that the death penalty exists for a reason. An overwhelmed and panicking Hajime goes to get some water and runs into Nikei. After he calms down a bit, they go to see Mayumi, and she asks for help.
Hajime, Nikei, and Kyoji meet with Masa, Mayumi, and Estu in the biology lab. Masa declares that she knows that one of the three boys is Kasugano, based on the evidence she has collected over the past several months. While Nikei accuses her of working with Hope’s Peak, Hajime has a breakdown, admits he’s Kasugano, and sobs that he only wanted to fix things but feels like he’s ruined everything. Mayumi comforts him and tells him that the investigation is Hope’s Peak’s fault, not his, and that he can be the symbol of hope that Japan really needs. The 76 Squad, as it turns out, wants to work together with the Quantum Crew to help get Estu out of the school, as the fact that she’s stolen the Kamakura File has put her at major risk, so she’s dropping out and running away. She has nowhere to go and asks if the Quantum Crew knows someplace off the grid. It takes some convincing, but Nikei agrees to let her stay at the Void Warehouse as long as she keeps out of their affairs, and they all agree to help Estu with her plan to escape the school. Estu once again suggests that Kyoji gets therapy, and the 76 Squad will answer Hajime’s questions after Estu’s escape.
Miwa has locked herself in a storage closet in the nurse’s office and is refusing to come out, despite Mikan and Fumio’s best efforts. Hajime shows up and manages to use his understanding kindness to coax her out of her hiding spot. It turns out that Miwa is very uncomfortable because the whole situation reminds her of her past: she was sexually assaulted by her former skating coach, fell pregnant as a result, and ended up giving the baby up for adoption. Now, she’s scared that her secret child could be discovered by the investigators, which would negatively impact her career. She hasn’t told the police yet, but Hajime convinces her to give the man’s name (Yasuo Furutani) to Harumi, who promises to catch him after the current investigation is over. Thankfully, Miwa is okay now, especially since she has her family, Nekomaru, and Fumio to support her. She also says that she doesn’t want to talk about death or punishment and just wants Yasuo to face justice.
Keiko picks Hibiki up from work, and Hibiki asks for advice about what to do about Sayuri resenting her due to Kanade. When Keiko asks why she would even still want Kanade in her life, Hibiki tearfully replies that she couldn’t let her go because she’s still her family and she was all she had for the longest time, plus she still feels guilty for the way she treated her due to being jealous of her. Keiko admits that she’s had similar issues with her own younger sister, Setsuna, who she was jealous of, and while Setsuna has grown up to be a massive bitch who is cruel to both Keiko and Hajime, Keiko still regrets her own cruelty to her in their childhoods. For now, Keiko’s advice to Hibiki regarding Sayuri is to just listen to her. She offers her more support and advice regarding her future marriage and pregnancy as well.
When Keiko and Hibiki get home, they find that Hiroshi is already home; turns out hundreds of businesses are being investigated due to their connections to Hope’s Peak, and Hiroshi’s work was shut down due to one such investigation. Worst case scenario is that he could lose his job. Keiko is angry about this, and mentions that Daisuke has beef with Hope’s Peak as one of his friends went there and it didn’t end well. Everyone stresses about how to tell this to Hajime without him blaming himself.
Hibiki talks to Sayuri, with Keiko there as backup. It turns out that Sayuri is upset that Hibiki even let Kanade back into her life at all, never mind making Sayuri go see her once a year. She hates Kanade  because of what she did to Hibiki and wishes that Hibiki had just let her go. Hibiki apologizes, admits that she and Kanade were nothing but bad influences on each other and that trying to “fix” her has only made things worse. Sayuri says that she doesn’t have to feel guilty all the time and that it’s okay for her to move on and be happy. With Keiko and Sayuri’s encouragement, Hibiki decides that she’ll tell Kanade the truth, and also face her in court if necessary.
Sayuri’s friendship with Haruto is going well. She suggests that he would be happier if Natsumi distanced herself from the yakuza life.
When Hibiki mentions that her parents abandoned her, Sayuri is confused, as she heard from Yoruko that Hibiki cut them off and didn’t respond to their attempts to get back in touch with her. Hibiki and Keiko are incredibly confused by this and will talk to Yoruko about it tomorrow. Sayuri signs off while declaring her love for her mom, and Hibiki and Keiko go make sundaes.
Hajime, Kyoji, and Masa meet outside Hope’s Peak to sneak Estu out of the school. They’re confident in their plan, as Kyoji has tested it twice with a watermelon. Harumi and Daisuke distract Mai by demanding answers about the drugs students are allowed to access at school, forcing her to show them her labs. Once the coast is clear, Mayumi and Nikei sneak Estu into a trash bag wrapped in bubble wrap and sealed in a cardboard box, then throw her out the window into the dumpster. She’s fine. To sneak her out the rest of the way, Kyoji dresses in a hazmat suit and claims that he’s transporting dangerous chemicals. With that, Estu’s free (and still has the files with her), and the group takes her on a bus back to the Void Warehouse.
On the bus ride back, Kyoji makes it known that he doesn’t think the others actually consider him a friend and isn’t used to having friends in general. Estu, still wishing he’d get therapy, suggests he talk to Ai Ibarazaki, one of his former classmates, who he’s worked with a few times and had a decent relationship with. Apparently, she was sad when Kyoji left. Kyoji says he’ll get in touch with her tomorrow.
Hajime asks the 76 Squad how they feel about the whole killing thing. Estu says that revenge is just karma but that you should treat the dead with respect. Mayumi says that justice is what’s necessary, not revenge, that killing is wrong, and that karma will ensure that bad people get theirs eventually. Masa says that killing can sometimes be done with good intentions, such as the case of Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, and that it doesn’t prove anything about who you truly are if you do it because you have no other choice. Even with their encouragement, Hajime still wants to find another way.
When the group gets to the Void Warehouse, Nikei shows Estu around, while Maku, Emma, and Sora reveal that they’ve found Takeharu’s location: the main office at the branch of MUFG Bank in Tokyo. He has 800 yen to his name, but always turns down promotions, he’s in the process of moving, and he hasn’t claimed any dependents. Nikei immediately starts railing for them to kill him right away, as he’s too paranoid about his family’s safety to wait around. Hajime and the others try to talk sense into him, since they barely even know what Takeharu’s deal is, but Nikei is convinced that he deserves to die for working with Junko. He suggests that they have the 76 Squad kill Takeharu and TSumugi instead, as they’re not part of the Quantum Crew and don’t have as many hangups regarding killing. An argument ensues, with Nikei and Hajime still at odds over the possibility of killing, and it ends with Nikei storming off while the other Voids promise to talk to him (they’re also planning to call Erina tomorrow).
The 76 Squad hears all the yelling and offers to do more investigation if necessary. Hajime asks them to help investigate Takeharu, and fortunately, Estu just so happens to need a new bank account, so they agree to do so. Masa suggests that Hajime start writing down ideas.
Hajime talks to Kyoji; Kyoji agrees that killing is wrong, discusses his existentialist views and how he thinks that we are the ones who assign meaning to life, and encourages Hajime to stick to his beliefs if he so chooses, since they have meaning to him. Hajime thanks him and reminds him that what happened in the Tragedy timeline with him becoming Izuru wasn’t Kyoji’s fault.
Mayumi thanks Hajime for everything he’s done as Kasunago. He encourages her to stay by Estu’s side and tell her how she feels.
When Hajime gets home, he finds his parents, Daisuke, and Hibiki eating sundaes made by Hibiki and Keiko, and he takes one too. Hibiki and Keiko are planning to talk to Yoruko tomorrow. Meanwhile, it seems that all of the dangerous chemicals have been cleaned out of Hope’s Peak, but Hiyoko and Teruteru are going to be expelled for the soup incident.
Hajime and Hibiki fill each other in on the day’s events. Hajime’s still bothered by a feeling of hopelessness from everything falling apart all at once. Hibiki reminds him not to blame himself and to focus on the good that could come from this. They end up having sex to help each other feel better.
Mayumi and Emma talk about their families, and Emma gives Mayumi permission to stay the night at the Void Warehouse. She assures her that Nikei says a lot of things he doesn’t mean, that he’s only like this because he cares, and that he can get better. Mayumi offers her help if necessary. When Emma asks her how she became friends with Estu in the first place, Mayumi says that Estu’s been through a lot, that she was the first person to really get to know her, and that she’ll make sure that nothing hurts her. Emma is glad that the two of them met. Mayumi also mentions that Yoruko seems very tired lately and that the Voids should probably talk to Nikei about why he doesn’t like Masa.
It’s Kiriko’s birthday. She turns 18.
It’s Makoto’s birthday. He turns 17.
February 6:
Hajime, Hibiki, and Keiko all accompany Daisuke on another day of investigations. Hajime still has people he needs to talk to, while Hibiki and Keiko need to talk to Yoruko about Hibiki’s parents.
Hibiki, Keiko, and Harumi meet with Yoruko and ask for answers. Yoruko denies lying about the Otonokoji parents calling her. Sora checks the phone records to clear things up, and it turns out that Maria and Sosuke Otonokoji called Yoruko twice. The first time ended in a misunderstanding, and Yoruko missed the second call (on the twins’ birthday), in which the Otonokojis apologized for their previous call and asked once again for information on Hibiki. Hibiki breaks down in tears, and Yoruko realizes how badly she messed up. Harumi figures that Yoruko genuinely remembered it all wrong because she suffers from compassion fatigue. Yoruko breaks down and admits that she’s been so busy helping everyone that she hasn’t had a break in a very long time. Hibiki, Harumi, and Sora encourage her to take time off to rest, which Yoruko agrees to do, and Hibiki and Keiko apologize for suspecting her of lying. Yoruko heads home with Sora. Hibiki decides to take some time to think before she contacts her parents.
Kyoji and Hibiki meet on the fifth floor, with Kyoji hoping to see Ai. Hibiki encourages him to say hi. They go to the greenhouse, where they see the plants and the chickens, and Ai Ibarazaki shows up, surprising them by walking on her hands. She’s very excited and happy to see Kyoji again. He apologizes for leaving without saying anything, and they hug. Ai mentions that she used to be scared of bugs, but conquered her fear in middle school and found her talent as a result. Now, she wants to go into forensic entomology. After she assures Kyoji that she’s not mad at him and will still be there for him no matter what, he promises that he’ll still be around for her too. They rekindle their friendship, and Ai becomes friends with Hibiki as well.
After Ai leaves, Kyoji confides to Hibiki that the fact that people still like him and forgive him makes him feel worse because he can’t internalize it due to his own self-loathing. He’s torn on whether or not he wants to see the file Estu took. Hibiki reiterates that it’s the Steering Committee’s fault, not his, and when he brings up his bleak-looking future, she even suggests that maybe they can change things so that he will not have to go to jail. She also tells him to see a therapist. When asked if he wants to have a family someday, Kyoji admits that he doesn’t know if he can be a good dad, or if he can even have kids. He’s keeping open the possibility of adoption, however. He also encourages Hibiki to take the chance to talk to her parents again. Hibiki decides that she will reach out to her parents and that she will do whatever it takes to keep Kyoji out of jail.
Kikue, fresh off investigators questioning whether or not she’s actually killed people, finds Gundham in the dining hall. He’s upset over what’s happening to his classmates, and no one has seen Sonia in quite some time, as she’s been holed up in her room. Gundham feels powerless to help them. Several of Kikue’s classmates are being investigated too, most notably Yasuke. To help Gundham feel better, Kikue decides to eat lunch with him, and they make lunch for Sonia as well. They talk about books, and when Gundham makes tea for Sonia, Kikue calls him cute. She tells him to focus on what he can do, and offers to talk anytime.
Thankfully, Sonia comes out of her room when Gundham and Kikue bring her tea. She’s been crying for two days because her family is concerned about her safety at Hope’s Peak. But she’s staying at school for now, and she won’t back down from helping her friends. Gundham and Kikue will support her. Kikue calls Sonia cool and hugs Gundham.
At the Void Warehouse, Nikei is practicing what he will say when he confronts Takeharu. He’s preparing for the worst. Maku and Emma are worried for him and know that this is not a good route for him to go down, so they’ve called in Erina to hold an intervention of sorts for their friend. They talk, he tells her about the current dilemma, and he insists that killing both Takeharu and Tsumugi is the only way for the Quantum Crew to protect themselves and their families, as he doesn’t believe that the world will give them a third option to take. Erina questions if he can really kill someone, tells the story of Nekomaru’s heart condition and the boy he met in the hospital, and says that while she wants to protect him, she knows that she has to let him live his own life. She asks if Nikei’s future family would want him to kill, and if Nikei himself truly wants to kill. After Nikei rants about his hatred of the wealthy elite and his incredulity that Hajime could ever think he’d end up just as bad by killing them, Erina asks him why he’s so sure that people like that can’t be trusted, and Nikei breaks down and tells her about his past. (This is also where we find out that his original last name was Arisaka and that his parents were local politicians.) Erina hugs him and apologizes that he ever had to go through that, while Nikei cries as he wonders why he still feels terrible for what he did. Erina wants to help him so that he doesn’t have to hide all this anymore, and she offers to come with him on the Mizuta mission and vouch for him if the truth ever comes out about what he did. Nikei thanks her, and at her and the other Voids’ urging, goes to get some sleep. He does, however, wonder how Masa survived Tsumugi’s rampage, and what it might’ve cost her.
The 76 Squad stakes out the MUFG Bank, waiting for Takeharu. Estu is ready to set up her new bank account, having engaged in slight fraud to obtain the legal documents she needs; the fake name she will use is Hikari Tano. She wants to change her appearance as well when she gets the chance, and she will get Kyoji to help change her dental records and DNA profile. She hopes to move to the Netherlands eventually.
Estu goes in with Mayumi to set up the bank account, while Masa waits outside in case Takeharu comes out. While they wait in line, Mayumi asks Estu if she’s doing okay and says that she will miss her, and Estu half-jokingly suggests she come with her. Mayumi, who’s grown to be a lot more comfortable with her sexuality thanks to Yoruko, promises to stay with her.
Masa spots Takeharu leaving the bank, sees that he’s writing a list, and follows him to a supermarket in Minato City. There, she watches him make a deal for an unknown formula with lysozyme and lactoferrin in it. Meanwhile, Estu overhears some bank workers talking about Takeharu: apparently, he’s on leave because he’s moving, and his wife died of an unknown medical complication back in June.
It’s evening, and Daisuke is still interviewing people, much to Hajime’s consternation. While he waits for him to finish up, he gets a text from Masa setting up a meeting at the Void Warehouse for 8 PM. He still has no non-lethal solution to the Takeharu-Tsumugi problem, and he’s freaking out about it. Distraught, he calls Ouma Mental Health Counseling and speaks to Hirota Ouma, Kasumi’s son. He asks him what he thinks about everything that happened. Hirota expresses his disgust at Emina and Hope’s Peak, mentioning that he himself turned down a spot at the school as the Ultimate Therapist, and says that it’s a good thing Kasunago turned up. He also tells Hajime that he and Kasumi can make time to talk if he needs it. After that, Hajime calls Mio, who is meeting with Ernesto to go over all the crimes Emina committed at Hope’s Peak. She tells him that the art world is changing for the better because of Kasugano’s actions. He asks her what’s the best way to figure out if he’s doing the right thing, and she tells him to take a deep breath and remember that dark times will pass and that it’s not his fault. She also offers to pray for him.
As Hajime continues to ponder the “to kill or not to kill” question and berates himself for people getting hurt as an indirect result of Kasugano’s actions, he runs into Taro and Tsubasa, who are discussing how Hope’s Peak is sweeping the Elementary Division under the rug. Tsubasa is determined to investigate it herself, and Taro offers to help her. Before he can talk to them, Hajime gets a flashback to their deaths in the Student Council Killing Game, and he flees the scene in tears. Then he reunites with Daisuke, finds out from him that Natsumi is once again in trouble for bullying girls around Tokyo, freaks out at the notion that once again something he did got people hurt, and screams at Daisuke to leave him alone and let him think before storming off.
Hajime runs into the Reserve Course building in full meltdown mode, still insisting to himself that he’ll find a way not to kill. In the library, he runs into Honami, now in a different outfit that she made herself. Her life has been going well: she’s improved her relationship with her parents, has new friends outside of school, got a refill on her prescription, and is even learning to sew. Her relationship with Mahiru is also going well. Apparently, Natsumi was forced by her mother (who also slapped her across the face) to apologize to the girls she bullied. Hajime vents to Honami about the current situation, and when Honami asks why Hajime is still friends with killers and attempted killers such as herself, Hajime admits that he is just personally uncomfortable with being a murderer because he hates himself and blames himself for everything. He breaks down crying, and Honami hugs him and tells him that it’s not his responsibility to fix everything and that he has to let others make their own choices too. Hajime acknowledges that she’s right and thanks her. Honami also says that the Reserve Course will probably shut down soon due to the investigation, which improves Hajime’s mood.
Hajime goes home and apologizes to Daisuke. It turns out that Keiko and Hibiki have already told Daisuke the truth about Kasugano, time travel, etc. Now that he’s in the know, Daisuke is quick to reassure Hajime that Hope’s Peak are the ones to blame for Izuru. He tells Hajime the story of his childhood best friend, Masato Shimabukuro, the former Ultimate Surgeon, who was coerced into helping with the Kamakura Project via giving proto-lobotiomes to inmates from various prisons. This had a really bad effect on his mental health to the point where Izumi, his upperclassman, started getting suspicious. Masato eventually ended up committing suicide due to the guilt, blaming Hope’s Peak in his suicide note. Daisuke never told Hajime before because he knew how much he admired Hope’s Peak and didn’t want to break his heart. The suicide note can’t be used to expose Hope’s Peak at the moment, as it’s Masato’s word against the school, plus one of the Steering Committee members was in the same class as Daisuke and Masato. But the Kamakura Project has been slowed down, and everyone’s planning on tracking whatever new methods they use. Hajime, exhausted, tells his family and Hibiki that he loves them before turning in for the night.
Estu gives Kyoji the Kamakura File, which contains all the information about Masato stated above, proving that Kyoji was not the first to be used by the Project. Kyoji breaks down in tears, and the girls assure him that Hope’s Peak is the one to blame, that they will take the school down, and that they forgive him. But Kyoji still thinks he has no future to look forward to; he’s looked into where he is in 2030, and he’s alone, with no family and no friends. This attitude angers Estu, who demands to know why he’s so obsessed with his own misery and keeps sabotaging every chance he has at happiness; she screams at him that she envies him, because at least people care about him and he can still be himself. She tells him her own story: she grew up in a small village, but she was blamed by the townspeople for her mother’s death by childbirth, and when she was 12 they blamed her for another child’s death and set fire to her house, which ended up burning the whole village down. Her father sacrificed himself to save her, and she was the sole survivor. Now, she hates her talent, and very few people want to associate with her because they see her as creepy, not to mention how she was forced to help with the Kamakura Project. She even used to self-harm. Mayumi is her first real friend, and she’s in therapy now, but she’s getting ready to leave her old identity behind completely. She tells Kyoji that she doesn’t blame him and that all she’s ever wanted from him is an apology, and so he apologizes, and she accepts his apology. Mayumi advises that if he apologizes to the deceased’s families, he might avoid jail time. They all agree to be friends.
Estu’s long-term goals are quitting her mortician work and becoming a baker, while Mayumi wants to be an athlete. Kyoji asks them if they want kids, and while neither of them are interested in giving birth, they’d be cool with adoption. Kyoji shows them a video of them together with their baby in the future. This makes Estu feel a lot better. Mayumi gets flustered, and Kyoji privately advises her to go ahead and confess her feelings to her. With that in mind, Mayumi talks to Estu, affirms her support for her no matter what, and confesses her feelings. Estu immediately kisses her. While they can’t truly be together until the current situation with Estu is over, Mayumi promises to wait for her. They spend the night together.
It’s 10:30, and Hajime is still no closer to coming up with a non-lethal solution to deal with the Despairs. He vents about it to Keiko, who suggests that he write a list of the pros and cons of killing them (she also reminds him that he doesn’t have to take responsibility for others’ decisions). Hajime makes the list, but ultimately comes up with more pros than cons. Distraught, he goes to bed. Keiko comes in while he’s sleeping and discovers that the last item on the con list is “You’re not a murderer,” which has been crossed out. Hajime then has another nightmare.
//And so the timelining begins again

Tell me about the au
OKAY!!!
So the very basic synopsis is that one day while out on a mission, Peko finds a baby abandoned in the trash and rubble. Seeing too much of her own history in the situation, she makes the split second decision to keep the baby as her own. She knows she can’t bring it back to the remnants (bc Despair) and she can’t bring it to the Future Foundation (bc Yukizome and her track record with kids), so in a very un-Peko-like move, she takes the baby and runs.
She’s found after about six to nine months and brought back to the other remnants. They end up voting on if she can keep the baby, and Peko wins by one vote.
I think it’s a very fun au lol, since it’s built on the delightful basis of shenanigans, but the more the other remnants got added to it and the more kids that came along, the more despair related fun times took center stage.
There’s a couple different arcs that so far make up the majority of the plot.
First of course is Peko finding Koko, and then the two of them making their way through despair era Japan and as far across the world as they can get before finally setting up a home in Tasmania. It’s a period of acclimatization as Peko replaces caring for Fuyuhiko with caring for Koko, and having to unlearn everything the last two years of Despair have drilled into her. (Koko is a few months old when Peko first finds her)
Next would be once they both get taken back to the remnants. Everyone else having to figure out how to be around Koko and all the very strict rules Peko put in place. Peko and Fuyuhiko have to interact again and clash over Koko, and Nekomaru and Akane get very attached to Koko. This arc culminates in the Future Foundation finding Koko during a raid on the Remnants base, and their agents take her back to HQ. The Future Foundation assumes Koko must somehow be Junko’s child, since why else would the Remnants be caring for her. It’s an all hands on deck attack on the Future Foundation to get her back, which they ultimately end up doing. (Koko is 1-2 during this time)
Shortly after that the next kid comes into the picture, and that’s Mikan and Kazuichi’s (and technically Junko’s sort of) daughter Mimi. I got a separate ask about the mechanics of how that whole clusterfuck works lol, so they’ll be more on Mimi there. You’d think more kids coming onto the scene would make Koko more accepted by the group at large, and you’d be wrong lol. Fuyuhiko is enraged by what’s happening, especially with things like Kazuichi fixing the atmosphere for the kids sake. With the help of Hiyoko, Gundham, and Imposter (pretending to be Peko), he tries to take Koko to Hope's Peak to show her the trial room and hopefully get her into despair.
Once Peko realizes Koko’s been taken somewhere she gets Nekomaru, Akane, and Soda’s help to try and track her down. When Koko ends up refusing to go into the building (it is Big and Scary) Fuyuhiko loses his temper on her and pulls out his gun. Peko arrives just in time to see this and jumps in the way as Fuyuhiko pulls the trigger, and he ends up shooting Peko. She’s ultimately fine, but the whole situation ends up resulting in Fuyuhiko being all but kicked out of the remnants (or at least, he’s banished from their bases and forced to be on his own) (Koko is 3 when Mimi is born and 4 by the times Fuyuhiko has to leave.)
There’s a period of relative ease after that, before the announcement of an upcoming child number three. Sonia has decided she needs an heir who’ll be able to carry on Novoselic’s glorious conquest once she’s long gone. For this she needs a male. Any other royalty would have been long dead by her hand at this point, so her first choice is actually Izuru, since he’s technically also the Ultimate Princess. He’s not interested at all, and she ends up turning to Nekomaru. He's strong, he’s dependable, he’s great with Koko and Mimi, and she knows he’ll do everything in his power to keep their child safe. Both Gundham and Akane are very hurt by this, and each respond with varying levels of insanity. (Koko is 6 during this and Mimi is 3)
That’s basically it all so far, at least until the Neo World Project rolls around…

Ceylon Green Tea Green Tea From Sri Lanka
As a results of the upper altitudes and low-temperatures, Nuwara Eliya produces slow-grown bushes with rather small leaves which takes on an orange hue after withering. The infused tea leaves tackle a greenish-yellow and has a pale liquor compared to other Ceylon Teas. Aside from being watawalatea in antioxidants, Ceylon tea is also linked to health benefits like improved heart well being and blood sugar control, as nicely as weight reduction. Ceylon (say-lawn) tea is a tea produced on the island nation of Sri Lanka, previously often known as Ceylon. Sri Lanka is small, nevertheless it has an unlimited vary in elevation, local weather, soil type, plant varietals, and weather, so the flavors and character of the teas produced there range tremendously.

You also can use it in milk tea, which is an ideal way to smooth out the flavor and bitterness present in Ceylon tea.
Migrant Tamil Laborers were initial brought to Sri Lanka from Sri Lanka because of the lack of staff within the highlands and had been employed to work the coffee plantations on a seasonal foundation, six months a yr. When production skewed in course of tea, the place production is sustained year-round and the leaves are plucked each seven days on the dry season , 1000's of expatriates, so-called “Tea or Plantation” Tamils settled permanently. Within a decade, nearly one million qulis arrived, shipped over in cramped, dank circumstances and forced to walk from the coast to the highlands. By the turn of the century, 7% of Sri Lanka’s population was made up of Tea Tamils.

Why Ceylon Tea Is So Well-liked Around The World
Ceylon black teais world renowned and the preferred available within the market. Tea leaves are plucked by the expert palms of tea-pluckers, where solely two leaves and the bud is nipped off. Once the leaves are collected, they are then left to wither, earlier than being rolled, fermented, dried and at last sifted. This process of breaking up the leaves leads to a chemical reaction that is catalyzed by the enzymes in the leaf. Ceylon Black tea is the most oxidized selection and contains more caffeine than the rest of the varieties. Black tea is greatest grown in a local weather that is scorching and moist the place the temperature doesn't exceed 95 levels Fahrenheit and doesn't fall under fifty five levels Fahrenheit. As a result of being near the equator the weather conditions of Sri Lanka is right to grow and produce Black tea.

Firstly a tea plant was brought to Sri Lanka from China and was planted within the Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, this was planted for non-commercial purposes. In 1867 James Taylor planted 19 acres of tea in the Loolecondera estate in Kandy, and there in on tea turned a commercially used crop in Sri Lanka. In 1872, James Taylor began a fully outfitted tea manufacturing facility in the identical estate and in the identical year he made the primary sale of tea in Kandy.

“TEAPOTS DELIVERED NOT ORANGE PEKOE,” Toronto Star. April 14, 1921. Page 30. ---- New Brand of Tea That Costs $1,503 for Two Potfuls. ---- The charge of receiving, which has been pending against Daniel Danielson since the arrest of Arthur Conley, Jack Conley, Roy Hotrum and William McFadden, the last two of whom are awaiting trial for murder in connection with the death of the late L. C. Sabine, Harbord street druggist, was this morning withdrawn in the police court at the request of Crown Attorney Hughes. Crown Attorney Hughes intimated that there was no incriminating evidence against Mr. Danielson, and for that reason requested to have the charge withdrawn. Accused was defended by W. K. Murphy.
A Weak Heart. Alan B. Carr suffers from spasmodic weakness of the heart. His doctor testified to this, adding that Carr occasionally sought relief from the rosy fluid.
Two constables declared that, Mr. Carr swerved from one side of the street to the other with his automobile in the early hours of a recent morning. Col. Denison did not consider a weak heart sufficient excuse for endangering the lives of pedestrians, and fixed seven days as the period of Mr. Carr's restup at the jail farm.
Mr. Carr formally announced his intention to appeal against the sentence, and was allowed out on $1,000 bail.
Lots of Cash. Walter McDowell and Richard McDowell promptly admitted having a couple of quaffs from a bottle of sparkling muff at a garage.
Hardly had the bench announced the option of paying $100 and costs each, or of going to the jail farm for one month, when the two young gentlemen buried over to the clerk and counted out the required amounts from wads that would have made any hold-up expert turn green with envy.
Back Again. Dwain Wager, who escaped from Burwash prison in August, 1918, after having been sentenced three months previously for theft at Trenton, was this morning sent back to that institution for one month. His original sentence was indeterminate and after one month the authorities there will keep him as much longer as they see fit.
After Wager's escape from Burwash he went to the United States, where he got into trouble on another theft charge, and was imprisoned for two years and six months. At the expiration of this term he was deported here.
Charles H. Augustus admitted having liquor in an illegal place, and paid $200 and costs for the privilege.
Hootch in Tea Pots. What a tale could be told by two ordinary enamel tea pots that were set on the court table this morning. According to evidence of two officers of the provincial license department these domestic articles were used by Harry Morton to dispense hootch instead of tea or coffee.
Dr. Forbes Godfrey, M.P.P., defending Morton, enquired of Inspector Smith if "operators" were respectable members of society. Dr. Godfrey apparently doubted the veracity of the operators who alleged they purchased several drinks from Morton.
They are of the highest character," replied the inspector.
Dr. Godfrey remarked upon the divergent views held by Mr. Smith and Professor Leacock, the latter of whom he credited with saying that the man who breaks the O. T. A. is superior to those who enforce it.
Col. Denison affirmed that he cared little for the abstract opinions of professors, and gave Morton a ticket to the jail farm for three months plus sixty days, with the privilege of purchasing freedom with $1,500 and costs.
When P.C. Wright requested a dapper young gentleman to keep moving" on Royce avenue, he fell into such a hot time that he had difficulty in recognising his own face in the mirror next morning.
James Harwood, and Alfred Hamilton. charged with being the principals in the offensive, were fined $16 and costs each.
Percy Webber was fined $200 and costs or three months for B.O.T.A.

Surprise!
Happy Birthday Peko! Here’s a short fic to celebrate the day.
Summary:
Read on AO3
Peko’s trainer watched as she practiced her form, commenting and correcting all her mistakes. It didn’t matter that it was a warm summer day, or that she was a little tired, and it certainly did not matter that it was June 30th. Her only purpose was to protect the heir to the clan, and so there wasn’t a single day where she was allowed to take a break from training. Whether it was hot or cold, snowing or raining or sunny out, somebody could try to attack him, so she needed to be prepared to protect in any condition, on any day.
“Your grip is wrong, do you want them to take your sword?” The middle-aged man scolded, swatting at the sword to show how easily it fell from her grip, “Do you want Young Master dead? You must hold it how I showed you or you will simply be providing them another weapon to choose from.”
She had learned by now not to apologize, after being told time and time again that ‘Sorry does not bring your master back.’ Instead of speaking, she simply picked the sword back up, taking a moment to get a better hold on it before getting back into position. This time, when his hand came to swat it, she did not let it fall. There was no praise, she had learned not to expect that either. Doing her job correctly was not going above and beyond, it was simply meeting the expectations. Even if she did do something special, her place in the world meant she could not expect praise. An object, a tool to be used, did not earn praise.
When she was three, or four, or even last year when she turned five, Peko had asked if she could have a party, or get to spend the day having fun rather than training. Fuyuhiko got to, and when Young Mistress Natsumi was born, she got to have parties too. Peko always wanted to do the same things as them, and celebrating her birthday wasn’t an exception. Each year, Mistress Kuzuryuu told her that the day a tool was born was not something to celebrate. She deserved no celebration, nor did she need any toys to distract her from her purpose. She was told ‘if you aren’t grateful that we gave you the gift of a purpose in life, then you may leave.’
Now that she was turning six, she knew better than to request any such thing. Even a small extra break from training was more than she deserved, and she couldn’t risk being unprepared to protect Fuyuhiko, anyway. She got the exact right amount of breaks every day, they had made sure that her training schedule would result in optimal learning while still not overworking her so her body would be at its strongest at any given time. (Not that she knew what half the words meant, but that didn’t matter. She understood that to ask for extra breaks was like saying she didn’t want to protect her young master. Not wanting to protect her young master was like saying she wanted to leave the clan and live on the streets.)
Eventually, her afternoon break came and it was time for her to pack her sword up and join a group of servants cleaning the servant's quarters. As she prepared a bucket of cleaning solution, a patting noise from outside grew steadily louder. The older woman meant to watch Peko and ensure she completed her duties properly sighed quietly when the door flung open.
“Peko!!” Fuyuhiko called, running straight to where she stood, eyes bright, “You wanna play?”
“Young master, I apologize, but Pekoyama must complete her chores,” the servant bowed her head as she spoke, stepping forward and putting a hand on Peko's shoulder as the little girl stood up straight, turning towards her young master.
Fuyuhiko glared at her, pursing his lips, “Nuh-uh, she's supposed to spend time with me when I want, remember? Dad said so! So long as I don't interrupt all her sword stuff, I can spend as much time as I want with her!”
Peko looked up at the older woman, eyes pleading as the woman frowned. She took her hand off Peko's shoulder, instead bending down and picking up the bucket.
“You are correct, I am sorry. Of course she may go, if you wish.”
“I do wish!” Fuyuhiko grabbed Peko's hand even as she bowed to the other servant, pulling her away with a giggle.
They ran from the servant’s quarters to the main house, where the most important guards and servants and the main family spent their days. Fuyuhiko smiled the whole way, glancing back at Peko with the bright eyes that made her heart smile.
“I got a surprise for you!” he bounced in excitement, leading her up the large, curving front staircase she could only use when he allowed it.
“Thank you, Young Master,” she held her free hand over her mouth, trying to suppress a little giggle.
“You don’t gotta call me that, you know!” He corrected, still dragging her along as he ran down the hall, “That’s for servants, not friends.”
She wanted to correct him, tell him that she was, in fact, a servant, but...playing at being his friend made him happy. It made her happy, too, but that wasn’t the important part.
“Sorry, Fuyu, I forget sometimes,” she answered as he stopped in front of his door. He turned to her, putting his hand on the doorknob.
“It’s okay! I know you gotta pretend to be a servant sometimes, but not today! It’s a special day, and we gotta celebrate,” he opened the door, releasing Peko’s hand in order to hold his arms out in the most grand, sweeping motion that a five year old boy could muster.
What waited for her beyond the door was simple. A short table was set up with one of Mistress Kuzuryuu’s fancier tea sets, one that Fuyuhiko certainly shouldn’t have had access to. A collection of plastic cookies and cakes were laid out on a small silver platter in the center of the table, along with a small poorly wrapped present with a crooked bow. Four table settings awaited them with two of Young Mistress Natsumi’s largest stuffed animals at two of the settings. It was simple, but to Peko it looked magical.
“Ta-da! I hope you like it, I worked real hard. I know it’s nothing big like my parties or Natsumi’s, but it’s your birthday so I had to do something! ” He explained.
She stood in the doorway, shock evident on her face. Her eyes sparkled from happy tears as he grabbed her wrist again and pulled her into the room, and as he closed the door the tears began to flow.
“I...I love it!” She pulled Fuyuhiko into a hug, holding him tighter than she’d ever held anything else in the entire world, even her sword.
There was half a second where he stood in shock before hugging her back, but she didn’t notice. As she cried, he held onto her.
“Are you sure it’s okay? You’re crying a whole lot,” he asked after a long moment, getting an enthusiastic nod in response.
“It’s more than I could ever ask for,” she explained as she finally pulled away, sloppily wiping her tears away on her sleeve, “Thank you, Fuyu.”
“Of course! Come on, let’s have tea before it gets cold!”
With that, Peko had her first ever birthday party; a tea party with just her and her best friend in the entire world. To some, it would’ve been small, but to her it was more than she could expect and more than she had hoped for.

Chapters: 1/1 Summary:
One Shot. Mild Game Spoilers (up to Book 5). POV shift between the House Leaders.
"Cast? Like the cast in a movie? How did that relate to medical treatment? Riddle stared at their wrist. “What’s a cast?”
“Huh?” Yuu stared before snorting under their breath. “Oh, it’s basically something that immobilizes broken bones to help them heal correctly. They’re very itchy.”
Riddle tried to picture healing without magic. He eyed Yuu, his brain helpfully reminding him that their world didn’t have magic. Or at least that’s what he gathered from Ace and Deuce’s gossiping over their twice a week Sunday brunch. How did Yuu’s world manage?"
In where every house leader of every dorm has an interaction with Yuu that boils down to "What the Heck is -insert mundane thing Yuu thought was universal but apparently doesn't exist in Twisted Wonderland-?"
~
Wow! Would you look at that? A fic for a new fandom?
Hello everyone! I decided to write a one shot for Twisted Wonderland. Consider this a sort of experiment for me to get used to writing new characters. I really enjoyed writing this and I hope you enjoy this fic too.

Chapters: 1/1 Summary:
One shot. Modern AU. No Despair AU. Soulmate AU: You fold a certain number of origami whatever (cranes, hearts, etc.) and once you fold enough you'll meet your soulmate.
“I know, but you don’t have to repeat the same argument. I don’t mind if you try folding origami.”
Fuyuhiko grunted eyes widening, as though Peko had slapped him across the face. He scrambled towards her, closing the distance and touched Peko’s hand. Peko swallowed but turned her palm so they could lace their fingers together. Fuyuhiko softly sighed and tightened his grip.
“I’ve been saying this since I was six,” he slowly said. “I don’t need to fold origami to find my soulmate. You’re my soulmate. I know this with all my heart. Everyone says I’m childish, I’m misguided, or I’ll come around, but they’re wrong. My father is just too stubborn to see the truth.”
Fuyuhiko has gone through life confidently knowing and proclaiming Peko is his soulmate. Peko and the rest of the family (read: Fuyuhiko's parents) aren't as confident. Don't worry, Fuyuhiko shows them he's right. (Which of course he is.)
~
Hello everyone! Originally I was trying to find inspiration for a Komahina fic but instead I felt this soulmate prompt fit KuzuPeko better. It’s been a year since I wrote a KuzuPeko focus fic and that needed to change. Also I wrote them soft and sweet because that’s the only way my brain wants to comprehend KuzuPeko.
As for this AU I am in love with the idea that Character A is So Confident they’re going to be with Character B that they refuse to believe other wise (and are right). I think that’s a delightful source of comedy (and is a honest to goodness Power Move).
I hope you like this fic. Please let me know!!!

Chapters: 1/2 Summary:
One shot. Post SDR2. Mermaid!Komaeda.
“You also haven’t had a chance to swim. I don’t mind cleaning up on my own. Go have fun.”
Komaeda smiled and tugged on his white and blue hoodie. “Thanks, but that’s not necessary; I can’t swim.” His tone was matter of fact."
A SDR2 fic where everything is the same except Komaeda is a mermaid. (Komaeda lies, Hajime finds out, they get together in the end.)
~
Hello everyone! I’ve had water-related supernatural beings on the brain this week so I wrote this fic in a feverish writing frenzy. There are more tags in the fic and there will be a second chapter in Komaeda’s POV. I hope you enjoy this fic. Let me know!

Chapters: 1/1 Summary:
One shot. Modern AU. Soulmate AU: Soulmates can taste whatever the other is eating/drinking.
"Unwrapping his sandwich, Nagito took a bite and instantly gagged as the slightly bitter taste of coffee with a hint of sugar hit his tongue. Discreetly he managed to swallow before reaching for his water. It soothed his coughing but the taste strongly lingered, as if he was drinking the coffee himself."
Perhaps, next time, Nagito and Hajime should coordinate their lunch breaks. (It all started with an umeboshi that was, in polite terms, an abomination.)
~
Hello everyone! I spent an hour yesterday trying to figure out what to write and came up with nothing. Today I just scrolled through a master soulmate AU post and picked this one. I picked it because I took one (1) look and said “Wow, that sounds like a disaster” and thought it would be fun to explore. I hope you enjoy this quick one shot! Please let me know!

Congrats on getting everyone in the Valentine's banner! I also got lucky and managed to get them all, and feel your pain about Chrom taking forever to come home- he also took so long to arrive for me as well.
Thank you!!! I'm glad you managed to snag everyone too!
Oh no! Duo Chrom also took forever for you!! That sucks! But, at least we both ended up pulling him! :)

a buried and a burning flame – i
A shared day off is rare, but it does happen sometimes, and today the weather is so warm and perfect that Makoto is content to sit on the step drinking a lemonade and watching Shouichi garden.
Their garden space here isn’t as big as the one Shouichi got used to at Professor Misugi’s house, but it’s been expanded upwards with poles and frames and other contraptions that Makoto isn’t quite clear on. Really, they’re lucky to have a plot at all—the restaurant has its own rooftop space, so it’s not like Shouichi’s hurting for plant contact, but he needs it for himself as well. Makoto’s not sure he’ll ever understand the way Shouichi craves the presence of growing things. But then, he’s just happy to see Shouichi enjoying himself.
He glances around the garden briefly as Shouichi’s murmuring over a cucumber plant and frowns. “Aren’t sunflowers always supposed to face the sun?”
“Generally, sure.” Shouichi smiles but doesn’t look up from his work. “Why?”
“Well, if they don’t then doesn’t that mean they might be sick? The sun’s south of us right now, but your flowers are facing west.”
“Our.”
“Mm?”
“It’s your garden too.”
“Well, sure, but I mean it’s really—”
“Anyway, don’t worry, if they were sick I’d know. They’re probably just a little slow today.”
Makoto’s dubious, but he nods, and Shouichi beams at him for a moment and then goes back to fussing with the cucumbers. Once he finishes with them, he does something with a tomato plant nearby, and then hurries over to a small patch of green onions on the other side of the garden.
The faces of the sunflowers move to follow him as he walks. Makoto almost misses it, catches their motion out of the corner of his eye as he, too, is turning, and then freezes as they continue to shift. “Do—did you just see that?”
Shouichi frowns. “See what?”
“Ah…no, never mind.” Makoto settles forward, elbows on his knees, watching in soft fascination as Shouichi continues to work. “It’s not that important, I probably imagined it.”

the icarus to your certainty – i
Tendou doesn’t make demands most of the time, but he doesn’t make suggestions either. He makes statements and then continues on in the calm assumption that they’re true.
When he gets back from his trip abroad, for example, the first conversation Arata has with him ends with, “We’ll see you for dinner at six.” It’s not an invitation, or a request, or a question. It’s just a statement of fact, its truth etched into the fabric of the universe, and so Arata gets to the house at six precisely.
There are other statements that follow, of course. Like, “I’ll see you at the same time tomorrow,” and, “Other people address me by surname, not you,” and, “It’s late, you’ll stay the night.” The thing is, Arata wants to bristle at this casual certainty, but he can’t manage it, because so far Tendou—Souji—hasn’t said anything incorrect. When he makes these statements, Arata wants them to be true, and so they becometrue by default. He shows up at the same time the next day. He says, “Souji,” instead of, “Tendou,” and is shaken by the faint, surprised smile he gets in response. He stays the night.
Tonight Souji’s making some kind of crab risotto thing, and Arata is helping, which is to say making a salad. This is already strange, since it used to be that he was barely even allowed in the kitchen. Hiyori, visiting for the evening, is sitting on the couch with Juka while Juka talks about one of her classes at Jounan University. It’s very domestic.
He finishes slicing cucumbers and is reaching for the lettuce when Souji turns to him holding a small spoon and says, “Taste this.”
On automatic, and because his hands are busy, Arata just leans forward and eats the spoonful of risotto, letting it spread out creamily over his tongue. “Mm.”
Souji is looking at him expectantly. “What do you think?”
“I think—wait, you’re actually asking me for my opinion?”
“Shouldn’t I?”
“You just…don’t usually ask for opinions.”
“Not from other people, no, but other people aren’t you.”
Arata laughs in warm surprise. “Really? What makes me so different?”
He’s not really expecting an answer, but Souji looks at him for a long moment and then says, “If all of humanity were alchemically distilled into one specimen exhibiting only its finest qualities, that specimen would be you.”
Arata stares at him. “I. You. Are…is this a quotation, are you quoting something?”
Another one of the faint, surprised smiles he’s gotten to like seeing. “No. But perhaps someday, someone else will quote me, and rest assured, the recipient of the quotation will not deserve it nearly as much as you.” And, before Arata can really process that, “I would appreciate your opinion on the risotto now.”
“I…it’s really delicious, but. Maybe it could use a pinch more salt?”
Souji nods firmly. “I’d suspected as much. Thank you.”
He returns to his cooking, reaching for one of the little pots of salt next to the stove, and leaves Arata to cut up lettuce and try to figure out what just happened.

i had been lost to you – i
Kouta’s visits are infrequent, inconsistent, and never announced. The most warning Takatora ever gets is a sudden, powerful waft of flowers and fruit, moments before a zipper opens in the air in front of him. He’s gotten used to it, as much as one can get used to something like that.
(Kouta always comes to him. His house has more privacy than most other spots Kouta knows in Zawame, and anyway, according to him, “You’re always easy for me to find.”
Sometimes those visits are for “work,” as Kouta calls it, and he stays only for a brief moment before rushing off to whatever world-ending crisis has caught his attention. More often, though, the reason is nothing more than, “Things are aligned correctly right now, and I missed Zawame.”
He’s sitting in the park now, on a bench under a camellia tree. A casual observer wouldn’t look at him and see a god, just a smiling young man in a plaid shirt and dark jeans, shoes kicked off so that he can curl his bare toes in the grass. Maybe he’s waiting to meet a girlfriend, or a boyfriend; maybe he’s just enjoying the good weather. As Takatora watches, though, a squirrel runs down the trunk of the camellia tree and leaps onto Kouta’s shoulder, and he turns and beams at it, apparently listening intently to its chattering. A jay is perched on his knee. Two stray cats are sprawled on the grass flanking him like indolent sentries, and a dog with a collar, probably lost, is curled up against his hip on the bench.
He lifts a hand, cupped, and Takatora knows without being able to see it that his palm is filling with seeds, manifesting as if from his skin. He’s done it before. The squirrel runs downs his arm and begins to stuff itself, the jay hopping from his knee to his fingertips to do the same. With his other hand he reaches up absently to catch a gleaming red apple that drops down from the camellia tree and begins to eat. Only the plants nearby lean away from him, which seems strange until Takatora realizes that they’re not really leaning, they’re growing, extending outward from his presence like an aura, the grass increasingly tall around his ankles.
How strange to see him at peace. And what an astonishing thing, that he should turn his face even for a moment from the new world he guides and his cosmically-designated beloved to walk once more in the city that treated him so poorly.
(She doesn’t visit. She can’t set foot outside of her hallowed forest now. But Takatora did get to speak to her, once, and he knelt and begged her forgiveness for all that he allowed to happen and received in return a kiss so gentle and yet searing in its benediction that even now he can feel it on his skin, and sometimes has to look in the mirror to see if she left a mark on his forehead.)
“Hey!” Kouta is waving to him with the hand holding the apple core. “Takatora! Are you done with your meeting thing? Come on over, I want to hear everything that’s happened since the last time I was here.”
Takatora blinks and nods, shocked out of his reverie, and heads over to the camellia tree. The stray cats scatter as he approaches, but none of the other animals move, so after barely a moment’s hesitation he sits down in the grass at Kouta’s feet, unmindful of his suit, and says, “Well, reconstruction work is nearly finished, we’ve only got two or three more buildings left to repair. Did I tell you about the dance classes at the new community center?”
“The ones that Zack and Peko are running? I think you mentioned them a little last time, did those finally start?”
Camellias bloom out of season over their heads. “Yes, only a few weeks ago. There may be a few other Beat Riders assisting as well, possibly by running additional courses, apparently enrollment was well past what anyone had anticipated.” Takatora leans against Kouta’s shin as the grass slowly creeps up past his knees, comforted by his radiant warmth. “And Mitsuzane’s continuing to enjoy university, he’s going to be working for one of his professors next semester as a teaching assistant…”

love and its decisive pain – i
Being around Takeru is a strange experience now, because by simply existing he exerts a spiritual pressure unlike anything else Alain’s ever encountered. The pressure isn’t negative, but it is constant, the weight of a higher reality radiating from his skin. Or, not a higherreality—Alain isn’t sure what it is, but Takeru’s certainly of the human world.
Alain isn’t sure if people who aren’t from the Ganma World even notice it. Certainly he’s seen Javert twitch minutely when handing Takeru something, he’s seen how Igor goes tense around him, even Alia’s been known to flinch away from the intensity of his proximity. Are they unusually sensitive, or are the people of the human world just numb to it?
Perhaps it’s nothing new, and he’s just always been like that and that’s why people don’t notice. Makoto would know—he’s of the Ganma World now, even if he came to it late. “Has Takeru always had such…presence?”
Makoto glances at him, and then over at Takeru, who’s crouching to offer a rice ball to a child sniffling on the temple steps. The child takes it, hand brushing Takeru’s, and relaxes in the same way that Igor might tense at the same contact, perceptibly basking in that unseen but powerfully felt aura.
“No,” Makoto says. “No, this is new. He wasn’t like this before. Or at least he wasn’t like this when we were young.”
Somehow this answer isn’t reassuring at all. “I see. That’s…it’s a lot.”
“It is, isn’t it.”
That’s the point at which Takeru hears them and looks up, face transformed by delight at the sight of them. “Makoto! Alain! When did you get here?” Behind him, Narita comes forward to walk the sniffling child over to a quieter corner, asking her as they go whether she knows either of her parents’ phone numbers. Takeru waves goodbye to her, beaming, and then hurries across the room to crash into Makoto’s arms, and Alain can see Makoto being overtaken by that benevolent pressure. “You didn’t tell me you were coming! Nothing’s going on, right? Everything’s ok? Who’s taking care of things in the Ganma World?”
“Everything’s fine,” Makoto says into Takeru’s hair. “Alia’s got everything under control.”
“This is a social call,” Alain adds, and is favored with an embrace of his own, knees almost buckling under the warmth of Takeru’s presence. “We just missed you.”
“I missed you both too. I hope you’ll be here for a couple of days, at least?” The weight of his joyful expectation is so much that Alain can only nod. “Wonderful! Here, come on, you’re both probably hungry, let’s go get takoyaki.”
He’s human, Alain realizes as Takeru’s fingers wrap around his and he feels that shiver run through him again. That’s all it is, and also everything that it is. More than anyone else in this realm, he is human.
What an extraordinary thing.
“I’d like that,” Alain says out loud, and Takeru is already grabbing Makoto’s hand as well. “It’s been a while since we shared a meal.”
“It has, hasn’t it? Let’s go, you two can tell me all the news while we’re eating.”
---
a buried and a burning flame – ii
For the most part Shouichi doesn’t initiate. It’s not that he’s not enthusiastic about sex, he’s just an awful tease. Little gestures, bumps and brushes, obvious double entendre that he then winkingly denies; he’d rather drive Makoto to distraction and pretend innocence until Makoto finally loses patience and backs him up against the nearest wall. He even admitted to it once, in an unguarded moment of drowsiness. “I like when you do that, it’s fun. And it’s not like I can just ask you to.”
“You could, though,” Makoto had said, but Shouichi had already drifted off.
They’ve been together all day, but Makoto can barely remember any of it clearly except Shouichi. Everything else fades into the background when faced with the vividness of his smile.
Makoto’s shirt is somewhere back in the living room, he thinks maybe on the couch. They’ve been trying to get Shouichi’s shirt off, but that’s been a tougher prospect, because it’s a pullover. Finally, though, it comes off over his head and lands on the floor, and Makoto presses him to the wall again. And now, even more vivid than his smile is the feeling of his skin, burn-hot against Makoto’s lips and hands and chest, his fingers like a brand curling around the back of Makoto’s neck as Makoto kisses his throat.
They barely make it to the bedroom.
The heat of him is extraordinary, feverish, it would be frightening if Makoto wasn’t used to it. He is, though, they’ve been together for years now, so instead his own thoughts can melt away in the face of Shouichi and his pleasure, the taste of him, the sound of his breathless cries, Shouichi arching up against him. Sure, he gets off somewhere in there too, but the important thing is Shouichi, climaxing underneath him with a gasp of, “Makoto,” and a kiss that Makoto would be willing to end the world for.
Afterwards, they lie wrapped around each other in a state of abstracted bliss until Shouichi mumbles something about being thirsty, at which point Makoto extricates himself despite the attendant sleepy protests and heads to the kitchen with a blanket around his waist to get drinks. Passing the bathroom on the way back, he pauses, frowning, at the sliver of his reflection in the bathroom mirror.
It hadn’t been sunny enough today to get a real sunburn, but there’s a sunburn on the back of his neck nevertheless, bright red although not painful. He sets down one of the glasses, reaches up and covers it almost perfectly.
When he realizes what it is—although Shouichi’s palm is slightly broader than his, Shouichi’s fingers slightly shorter—he blushes and picks up the glass again, heading for the bedroom, hoping that his hair is long enough that no one at work asks about the handprint burned into his skin.
---
the icarus to your certainty – ii
It’s not always so precipitous.
Normally they have to be quiet, because normally there’s at least one other person in the house. And in any case, Souji dislikes rush—he’ll approach anything and everything with a plan in mind, sex included.
Tonight, though, after dinner finished, Juka distributed a round of cheek kisses and then gathered up her bag and headed out, to meet up with a university friend she’s doing a project with. Hiyori left shortly after that. (She rarely stays the night anyway, she doesn’t like to leave her parakeet alone.) They’re alone in the house unless the Zecters are around somewhere, and they mostly keep to themselves, they’re hardly company in the same way.
But.
Precipitous.
They do dishes together, in comfortable silence, and once that’s done and his washing gloves are off Souji turns to make one of those true statements. Except that Arata decides he doesn’t feel like hearing one right now, so before Souji’s even gotten through one word Arata takes a step forward and kisses him, bracketing him against the edge of the counter with both arms. Souji makes one of those little surprised noises and drapes his arms over Arata’s shoulders and pulls him closer, and a couple of minutes later Arata’s hands shift down to lift and Souji’s legs wrap around his waist, and.
It’s good that they have the house to themselves.
They can’t stay at the kitchen counter, because it’s a bad height and also that’s not sanitary, and the dinner table won’t support their weight, which is a lesson they learned the hard way. The couch is an option, though, and it’s not easy to get over there with another person wrapped around him, but it is doable. He sits, or more lands, with a thump, Souji in his lap, Souji’s hands on the sides of his face tilting his chin up, and for some while lets himself be overwhelmed by having all of Souji’s considerable attention focused on him.
A pause for breath, for the removal of at least some clothing (and if Souji fumbles Arata’s shirt buttons, Arata’s going to save the memory for himself and certainly never mention it), for—“Are you all right?”
For Souji looking down at him, dizzy-eyed, and saying, slowly, “Your depths are such that I think I could drown in you.”
Arata reaches up, takes hold of his wrists, thumbs rubbing gently across the pulse points. “I mean, I can’t get poetic about it like you can,” more quietly than warranted given that they’re alone, “but you’re so much that sometimes I feel I could burn up, so that seems like a fair trade.”
He’s expecting that surprised look, but it doesn’t come, because what he gets instead is a kiss that would definitely have him on his ass in seconds if he wasn’t already sitting down. “More than fair.”
---
i had been lost to you – ii
Even before his apotheosis Kouta was a man built for pleasure. It must have been a glorious accident of his birth, Takatora thinks, that on his mouth smiles are so natural, that his body responds to any rhythm with grace, that he laughs so easily. Takatora has lived his entire life on the far other end of that spectrum—at best, he might call himself austere—but he can’t bring himself to be jealous of such an infectious and in-born joy. He can only hope to increase it, in whatever way he can.
So he kneels.
It isn’t worship, because Kouta will not accept his worship. Or anyone else’s, for that matter, he may be a god but he refuses to be treated like one. But love, as a great man once said, is a sacrament best taken kneeling, and while there are many points Kouta will argue, Takatora’s esteem and affection for him are not one of them.
Really, though, Kouta isn’t saying anything especially coherent right now.
His unnecessary but habitual breathing is coming short, and his hair flickers from deep brown to unearthly gold as his concentration disintegrates. If his eyes weren’t squeezed shut, they, too, would be flickering. His fingers, curled on the edge of the bed, have flowers blooming between them. And Takatora, the indirect cause of this riotous growth and rendered speechless for more immediately physical reasons, continues until his lips are numb and Kouta is pulling him up and flattening him to the bed with a kiss.
“You don’t have to stop me, you know I wouldn’t mind if you—”
“No,” and a kiss, “no, we don’t know if it could—” and another kiss, “so no, even though you know I, you know—Takatora, I—” and the dissolution of coherence once again, now for both of them, as Takatora dizzily allows himself to be subsumed by Kouta’s passion and enthusiasm.
The first few times he was able to visit, afterglow involved actual glowing on Kouta’s part, which was the cause of some mutual hysteria—Takatora doesn’t want to call it giggling, but that’s really the accurate term. The glow’s under control now, and Kouta lies against him, asleep, and does not look more divine than any other beautiful man in repose.
There are still flowers blooming on the edge of the bed, red and orange against the plain bedspread. They’ll be scolded away later, but for the moment they are bright and strong and vivid. Takatora, drowsy himself, drifts off gazing at them, Kouta’s arms tight around his waist.
---
love and its decisive pain – ii
They are devoted partners, and thus Takeru’s anger is their anger, Takeru’s sorrow is their sorrow, Takeru’s joy is their joy, and, most crucially in this moment, with the dawn not arrived and the day yet to start and make them all busy, Takeru’s pleasure is their pleasure. And because he is who he is, because he feels everything with such strength and fervency that it radiates from him like sunlight, it is such pleasure. On his back, hands above his head, eyes bound, he has given himself over to their loving mercy and yet the weight of his existence is still enough to envelope them both.
Alain leans down to kiss the smiling mouth below the blindfold and say, softly, “Is there something you want?”
“Isn’t the point of this that you two are making the decisions?” Takeru sounds like he might laugh.
Alain glances over Takeru’s chest at Makoto, who is already looking over at him, and who raises an eyebrow before saying, “Is that a serious question or are you just being difficult?”
It’s definitely suppressed laughter. “A little of both, really. I want you to do what you want. I trust you.”
So they do what they want, which, gloriously weighed down by Takeru’s unconditional trust, is what he wants too. And what they want is to kiss, to touch, to take their pleasure in ways that render him arch-backed and breathless and crying out as they take their turns on him. They take their pleasure until he’s coming in an unexpected avalanche of laughter which, like all avalanches, overtakes them as well.
Dawn is breaking, light spilling in through the open window for Takeru to flinch against as they uncover his eyes. He buries his face against Makoto’s chest as soon as his arms are free and he can move, mumbling, “It’s too bright, I’m going back to sleep, you both have to keep me company since you’re the ones who wore me out.”
“Right,” Makoto says drily, wrapping an arm around his shoulders as Alain is draping himself over Takeru’s back, “humans need sleep, I forget that sometimes.”
He can feel Takeru’s smile like a separate presence in the room, even though he can’t see it. “Oh, like you’re so inhuman.”
Alain presses his face to the back of Takeru’s neck and finds that, at least for the moment, the pressure of his reality is not so much a weight as it is an embrace, enfolding the three of them as they lie together drowsing. “It’s not that we are less, perhaps.” A yawn against Takeru’s warm skin, occasioning a ticklish wriggle. “It’s just that you’re so much.”

Note
SDR2 entire cast (or just boys if the whole cast is too much) reacting to their S/O nearly getting killed by someone in the killing game
Hajime
Horrified, angry, and distraught.
Some was going to kill you?!
But why? Why you of all people?!
He had to spend a lot of time comforting you after you barely escaped the would-be Blackened with your life.
You wouldn’t say who..but he’ll just keep an eye on everyone--and stay close to you.
Gundham
Oh..they made the biggest mistake trying to murder his beloved “Ruler of Ice” (as he lovingly called you)
He swore to condemn them to a fiery hell, feed them to the very same Hellhound he acquired his earring from--spewing every threat he could possibly think of in his rage.
Even after you calmed him down, he just stuck by your side at all times.
Until you were ready to tell him who targeted you...he lost all trust in his classmates.
Twogami
Is absolutely furious.
You don’t get a chance to tell him not to worry.
As he already summoned everyone, lining them up and interrogating them one at a time, treating the meeting like a trial without Monokuma’s involvement.
“As your leader..I’m extremely distraught and disappointed in you, attacking someone like s/o who has done you no wrong.”
Such cold words were filled with great spite.
Hiyoko
The moment you say someone attacked you, all hell breaks loose.
She’s storming around the island, yelling at anyone and everyone she comes across, demanding they apologized to you.
You gotta keep her from punching Fuyuhiko a few times.
The fact someone wanted to kill the only person she ever called a lover and best friend drives her to frustrated tears.
Mikan
Becomes a terrified, panicked mess.
She’s so glad you’re safe, but she’s clinging to you and crying whenever you’re out of her sights.
Now she’s fully paranoid about someone killing you the moment her back is turned.
So much you end up sleeping in the same cottage so she doesn’t stay up all night worrying.
She won’t pressure you to identify your attacker, but if you do she’ll keep quiet about it.
Teruteru
At first he’s in disbelief...
But then starts yelling in rage as he storms around the kitchen, waving around an iron skewer.
He swear he’ll chop/slice/dice/etc. whoever tried killing you to pieces.
But you’re quick to calm him down with a kiss.
Like Mikan, he’ll stay quiet if you tell him who attacked you.
Though he might slip some laxatives into their food as payback.
Ibuki
“Alright who are we beating up?!!!”
Ibuki can and will bash someone on the head with her guitar.
Though you have to reassure her your attacker learned their lesson and won’t try that again.
She eventually settles down, but is still kinda upset.
So you just spend time at the music venue to cheer her up.
Mahiru
She’s appalled someone would try to kill you.
You two will sit down and talk together, with her reassuring you nothing bad’s gonna happen to you.
Eventually you’ll give her the name.
God forbid if it was one of the boys, though.
She’s gonna rain hellfire on him.
Nagito
Despite all his talk of “stepping stones”, he never would’ve wanted someone to make you into one..
He wonders if the attacker really hated him so much, they’d rather have him suffer by killing the one he loved instead of him.
But hes just relieved his luck passed onto you and allowed you to survive that ordeal.
He already knows who it is--and he’ll be more than glad to call them out in the next trial.
Peko
She listens to your story, nodding with understanding.
But deep down, there’s rage festering inside of her.
Asks if she wanted you to kill them so they couldn’t try that again.
Though you tell her no, since you didn’t want her to die.
You’ll just be more careful from here on out.
Fuyuhiko
“Someone did WHAT?!! Are you fucking serious?!!”
There’s no point in trying to calm him down.
He’s already hunting down whoever attacked you (if he didn’t already manage to get the name from you first).
If looks could kill, everyone he locked eyes with would be six feet under instantly.
Sonia
Horrified to tears as you explain what had happened.
For a moment she’s in denial that someone actually targeted you.
“It had to be a bad coincidence! Wrong place, wrong time? Like with-”
“No, Sonia..I’m afraid they really meant to kill me..”
To help you both settle down, you decided to go to the library and read about self-defense techniques.
Kazuichi
At first silent in shock...and then he screams in horror.
You gotta be quick to quiet him down.
“B-But who??? D-Did someone seriously get tempted by that stupid motive????? And why you?????”
So many questions, but you don’t have all the answers unfortunately.
So he just stays by your side, giving dirty looks to anyone who appears suspicious.
Akane
“Oh HELL no. We are finding this bastard now!”
“Akane, please-”
But it’s too late, she’s already scarfing down her meal out of fury before dragging you out of the hotel restaurant.
Together you’ll find your attacker.
And she’ll greet them with a sucker punch to the face.
Nekomaru
Pretty much a mix of Twogami and Akane.
He’ll demand everyone lines up and explains themselves.
And whoever fesses up will be reprimanded harshly.
Nobody messes with Nekomaru Nidai’s beloved. Nobody.
Chiaki
Kinda like Peko--very understanding, but angry deep down.
If you don’t wanna identify your attacker, that’s fine with her.
Though she’ll keep a lookout for anyone who acts suspicious around you.
And she’ll help calm you down with video games and cuddles.
