Tonight's dindin (and dessert!)
Tw: food , mini vent
Tumblr media
Oyster mushrooms and zucchini in saffron, two cheddar pierogi, carrot chips, broccoli, and cauliflower!
(is it obvious that I have preferred foods? Hehe)
.。*♡✧*。
Tumblr media
Banana date "nice" cream!
One banana, three medjool dates, a handful of peanuts, and two tablespoons of pbfit.
It came out a bit runny and I added some oat fibre for it to hold its shape (and to ease my food sensory issues, lol)
 ˚。 ⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。 ⋆
Unfortunately, earlier today I panicked when I wanted to have a little snack. For the first time in months I wanted to have some oatmeal, so the logical thing to do was make a bowl. Simple, right?
Well, unfortunately for me I felt absolutely repulsed by the sight and smell of it (apple cinnamon oats), I nearly began to cry even having it in front of me. I threw it away immediately and felt guilty for even wanting it in the first place.
We all have our days though, right?

Tw. Ed behavior is so bizarre, and hard to discuss even at the college level everyone is always so triggered about discussing weight but the truth of the matter it's all on the societal clock all about grand picture, what does the other person perceive? doesn't matter if it's accurate but do they see me as my smallest self?
I have been so good with my habits as of recent cooking meals based on my cycle and nutrient needs but then I mix together some chocolate chips grape jelly and some pbfit and that to much for me??
Like I used to eat ice cream and Taco Bell and not purge but looking at the choice to purge and not feel guilty or think about it as mark on my body is kinda where I'm at?? I haven't purged in forever and the fact a chocolate pb jelly sandwich with a cup of coffee sent me there is kinda concerning but also ?? Why am I impulsively eating? Like yes I'm on my cycle but it wasn't out of hunger cues or anything like while I was mixing up the concoction I had the idea and I still kept going and mixing and then eating? I don't feel bad about it I just feel weird, purging isn't a cute thing, I don't want ruin my teeth. Its weird what I consider a binge was probably 300+ calories but what others consider a binge is like 1000+
not tryna trigger no thin spo cause i wouldn't put that on me or anything but ew? It's really just sweets that I find disgusting? Like if I would have ate some eggs and cheese i wouldn't have had a second thought but the sugar is gross??? Like in the baked dairy sweet candy chocolate milk way not in the small jolly rancher and gum way? But also please don't give me gummy worms or? Heavily sweetened beverages? No frappees. I can't wait to be off my period I hate this feeling I don't want to feel sick and bloated all the time I'd rather be a shell

Tw food
Tumblr media
Zucchini noodles, oyster mushrooms in saffron, broccoli, cauliflower, carrot chips, and red quinoa!
(人 •͈ᴗ•͈)
This smelled and tasted absolutely delicious!! I felt full halfway through eating (but that was Ana talking, not me) but I managed to finish it!
ෆ╹ .̮ ╹ෆ
For dessert I had four coconut cookies (2 chocolate chip, 2 peanut butter) from Emmy's bakery, very yummy! and two medjool dates with pbfit.
I feel satisfied with what I ate today! Not feeling as guilty for eating as I used to be.

Breakfast- 3 cups of coffee w/creamer and PBfit 60 cal.
Lunch- 4 sesame crackers and 1 boiled egg 155 cal.
My stomach felt weird today. Probably because I stayed up until 2 am so I could go to a free private showing of Barbie lololol.
Dinner- a disaster 5757388197367 cal. (Jk probably around 500 or less)
It was a weird day. I get back to work tomorrow and that makes it easier to plan meals and not get bored 🤙
I think, personally, I need to start shifting my higher calorie meals to the start of my day. I'm still getting my bearings again, but Im still so motivated

Odds & Ends: June 2, 2023
Reading Notes on Alexis de Tocqueville’s Democracy in America. Democracy in America was written nearly 200 years ago, but Tocqueville’s insights about America still seem fresh and relevant today. Democracy in America is a giant tome of a book, so if you’re looking for the highlights to dip your toes into this classic, check out the extensive reading notes that writer Jonathan Bi has published online. True Believer: Thoughts on the Nature of Mass Movements by Eric Hoffer. Eric Hoffer was an interesting cat. He worked as a longshoreman in San Francisco in the 1940s. He wrote his first book, True Believer, while living in the railroad yards. It became a bestseller after Dwight Eisenhower quoted from it during a press conference in the 1950s. In True Believer, Hoffer grapples with the question of why people get caught up in destructive mass movements like Nazism or Communism. One of his insights that has since been validated by modern research is that for some people, just being bored with life is a big reason they get involved in political movements. Check out my podcast on the psychology of boredom with psychologist James Danckert where we discuss this finding.  PBfit Peanut Butter Powder. Want the taste and protein of peanut butter without the fat? Check out PBfit peanut butter powder. A single serving will give your smoothie the taste of peanut butter and 8 grams of protein but only has 60 calories. I’ve been adding PBfit to my oatmeal and yogurt, as well as my afternoon protein shakes. Tastes pretty dang good. Almost Famous: I Was the Next Colonel Sanders. KFC Had Other Plans. H. Salt Fish & Chips was a fast food empire in the 1960s. At one point, there were 500 restaurants around the United States, and the company’s founder, Hadson Salt, was a celebrity. But that all came to a sudden halt after he sold his company to KFC. This short video gives a poignant retelling of the rise and fall of H. Salt Fish & Chips and is a reminder that while you might be on top of the world one day, the wheel of fortune can spin you to the bottom the next. Hadson Salt seems to have taken the spin gracefully and offers some Kierkegaardian advice at the end of the doc.  Quote of the Week Books are the best of things, well used; abused, among the worst. What is the right use? What is the one end, which all means go to effect? They are for nothing but to inspire. I had better never see a book, than to be warped by its attraction clean out of my own orbit, and made a satellite instead of a system. The one thing in the world, of value, is the active soul. —Ralph Waldo Emerson The post Odds & Ends: June 2, 2023 appeared first on The Art of Manliness. http://dlvr.it/Sq3n2k
