💿Reboot AU... Possible Mutations of the Mystery Character, by Reader (and Scott)

• They're mentioned as very energetic, and as a possible insomniac, as there are several mentions of late night talks they have with the other characters and of the teens and adults finding them up at odd hours in the mansion (yeah, they had trouble sleeping, I think they took medicine for it)

• They seemed to like sweets, as well as meat and dairy... So they had a need for lots of protein, and a sweet tooth, apparently... Some foods they've liked are casseroles, chicken nuggets and tenders and rotisserie chickens, shrimp, pies, lemon cake, potatoes, pancakes, bacon and sausages, as well as smoothies, chocolate milk, and orange rolls... (they were a really good cook, too!) (Thank you for the input, Scott)

• This character has been seen before, and seemed to be a kind, down-to-earth person with a past they don't mention often, besides saying it's best left forgotten... I wonder if that will be important later... They get along with most of the teens, regardless of sides or morals, and seem to respect most of the adults... They do not seem to like most humans, though... (they are important! and super helpful! and they did have a past full of bad things, unfortunately...)

• They look kinda like... me? Well, okay, my ideal version of me... They seem to prefer warm colors, anything from red and orange and yellow to pink and golden and white, always with some black thrown in... They have a few piercings, maybe a few rings they wear, amd I think the show had an episode where they revealed they were... ace? Or aro? Aroace? It was a pretty bold episode for that time (they were very brave to say that! and no one loved them any less!)

• I don't know if they're related to anyone... As I can never remember their power, I'm not sure what it was or anything besides a few general ideas as to what I think it was... (it's okay, Reader! sometimes it's best to go over what you know, then find the truth out from that!)

• Possible Mutation One: They're very stretchy and rubbery, almost like a stress ball or gooey worm or some other heroes... They seem to be always a step away if there's a problem, so it makes sense they can easily get tangeled up in it... It would also explain how they keep everything around them calmer... After all, they just have to stretch a hand or a leg, and they can stop whoever is causing mischief or trouble (good guess, Reader! certainly creative! and what do you mean, other heroes? what other heroes?)

• Possible Mutation Two: They're able to control electricity and energy. It would explain why they are energetic and have trouble sleeping, if they have a constant supply of energy in their body. It could explain why they fear water, because their body could potentially electrocute itself if they end up in a large body of water... Maybe they can also make loud noises, like thunder... Thunder is the sound after lightning strikes, right? (right indeed, kid! also a good guess! that would make showers and baths and pool parties hard to do...)

• Possible Mutation Three: They're some kind of feral mutant? At least five characters have fluff or animal powers, so it would make sense if this character did too? It would explain why they eat so much, and why they prefer meat and dairy... Their hair does look soft and fluffy, too... I'm not sure if I remember if they had claws or a tail or fangs or horns or any odd colors, though... (hmmmm... good guess again, kid! and yes! their hair does look super soft and fluffy!)

• Possible Mutation Four: They can turn into a swarm of insects or has a stinger or controls bugs/other people... Maybe thats why they like sweets? All kinds of hymenoptera insects are attracted to sweets, like bees and wasps and ants and hornets... so are flies, too, but they eat anything... Maybe that explains the warmer colors, too? (good guess once more, kiddo! that would be a unique power! a little scary, though)

• Possible Mutation Five: They can control minds or can control pheromones... Maybe both? They mentioned not wanting their power before... and this seems like one most wouldn't want to have... Maybe that's their dark secret? Their hidden ability? It could apply to a few of these other ones, actually... Is that why they left? Was there a falling out? Some sacrifice? Or a hidden plot in the shadows? (... let's not talk about it, kiddo...) (do you need a hug, Scott?) (... yes... your hugs feel amazing... thank you...)

Birthday party for Donald, Daisy and Della Duck! - Happy Birthday Donald, Daisy and Della Duck - Ducktales 2017 - Duckverse June - Week 1 - My Version - Gift for my friends

I drew on June 7th. After a long time, I decided to draw again related to Ducktales 2017, even though I'm not a fan of that series, but as they say everyone deserves a second chance. Is not it? So I decided to draw related to the great jubilee that is being celebrated these days and of course the favorite modern series by many, so I decided to draw Donald Duck, Della Duck and Daisy Duck with their family in Ducktales 2017 format, of course in my style. Because I'm not a fan of Ducktales 2017 style which is really weird for me.

On June 7, 1940, Donald's classic short "Mr Duck Steps Out" was shown, featuring Daisy Duck for the first time. 9/6/1934 The Classic Short "The Wise Little Hen" was shown and Donald Duck appeared there for the first time. Donald Duck will become one of the main stars of not only Disney, but also cartoon films, comics and video games at all. Certainly there is no need to tell his history. Della Duck is first mentioned in the comic book Donald's Nephews, and then made her first appearance in the 1994 comic strip "The Empire Builder from Calisota" by Don Rosa, from The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck. For the first time Della Duck appeared as a mother and adult woman and had a role in the Dutch comic "80 is Prachtig" from 2014, and she appears for the first time in animation in the Ducktales reboot. Also five years ago is the anniversary of the episode "What Ever Happened to Della Duck?!" where officially Della Duck got her role.

Well, since they are honored these days, and especially Donald Duck who is celebrating his 90th anniversary this year, I drew a birthday party where everyone celebrates their birthdays together. Donald, Daisy and Della Duck along with their family and their friends. Because what kind of birthday is it, without your closest ones. Yes, Donald is in the middle since he is definitely the main one, but he suffered a lot in that series so he definitely deserved the best. Finally, that Donald is happy after a long time and can finally rest. Yes, this is how I imagine the end of Ducktales 2017. And with him are his twin sister Della and his favorite love and girlfriend Daisy Duck. Yes, I also drew the characters as I like to imagine them in my Ducktales AU and Quack Pack reboot based on Ducktales 2017 as well as different outfits that would suit them quite well. Since I can't think of anything else, sorry, and I added Donald's nephews also wear caps and most of them wear jeans. Huey and Louie wear backwards hats. Yes, they are teenagers here too. :D And in front of Donald, of course, a birthday cake with cherries.

In addition to Donald, Daisy, and Della Duck, there are Donald's nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie Duck, plus Phooey Duck and Kabooie or Kablooie Duck (Donald's fifth nephew, usually wearing brown clothing), Gosalyn Mallard (who is with Huey), Webby Vanderquack and Lena De Spell (Sabrewing, otherwise they are together), May and June Duck, Violet Sabrewing, Scrooge McDuck, Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera and Gandra Dee, Gladstone Gander, Fethry Duck, Drake Mallard, Launchpad McQuack, Gyro Gearloose (to draw alone how he smiles I didn't think I'd ever do this), Boyd Beaks-Gearloose and Bentina Beakley. And everyone together celebrates the important birthdays of the most important Ducktales characters. Adults and children together. Happy birthday to you Donald, Daisy and Della Duck!

now that the season has wrapped do you have any thoughts on buddie and whether it's happening or not. i do recall you made a post before the season started if all this buddie promotion before the season started wasn't leading to buddie then it would be cruel. for the record i do still very much believe this is all leading to buddie endgame but just curious to hear your thoughts if possible now that the season has ended. Hope you have a lovely day.

Back at the end of season three, I expressed the opinion that season four was going to be the "shit or get off the pot" moment for Buddie. The event horizon, if you will.

Given that we now know they attempted to make Buddie canon at the end of season four with the shooting/using the shooting to go into season five with Buddie becoming canon there, I think I can safely say my prediction/analysis was correct. The studio stopped them, the story line was stalled, and now we're here.

Many people have noted that season seven feels in certain ways like a reboot for Buck and Eddie. Eddie is going through a dark period similar to season five, he's heavily paralleled with Bobby who is going through it as well, and Buck is bi (as Oliver Stark said something they tried to do in season four). So while I would've loved Buddie canon this season, I can see why they wouldn't want to rush things and would want to retread some ground first to properly lay foundations.

However, while I know everyone's chanting "slow burn! slow burn! slow burn!" we already... kinda got everything for a slow burn that we'd want? The only thing we could do is have confessions of feelings to a third party and then mutual pining but really I feel like you could view them as having done that mutual pining and so on already?

I personally feel that season eight is the new event horizon. The shit or get off the pot season. If it doesn't happen by then, then others I'm sure will continue to be hopeful or even certain of Buddie canon, but I personally won't be. There's only so long you can drag something out before even if it does become canon, it's unsatisfying.

To be clear, I don't think Buddie isn't happening. I think ABC wants it, and I think the majority of the cast and crew want it, but it ain't over 'til it's over and so I don't want to say "yes Buddie is FOR SURE happening 100% I have zero doubts." I think it's highly likely that we'll get Buddie canon, I certainly hope we do, I think it's the only thing that makes sense for the characters - I'm just saying that we're quickly approaching once again the point where you have to either make it canon, or we're not going to get it.

So those are my thoughts. Hopefulness tempered with my usual anxiety, and a statement of fact. I hope we'll get Buddie canon, but whether we do or not, season eight is the moment I feel we'll know. I personally probably won't be holding out hope if it doesn't happen next season, but that's just me and my own analysis! Do not let me stop you from your own hopes and dreams!

DuckTales (2017) Discussion Time!

Let’s say one day Disney decided “Hey we should make a video game based off the 2017 reboot of DuckTales!” What type of video game would YOU want that DuckTales video game to be?

Feel free to be in-depth as you want! Or if you want answer along the lines of “Mario Kart but with ducks” that’s also acceptable! Feel free to respond or reblog with your own answers!

Game Idea 1: Platformer

Well I’m sure all the older fans of DuckTales or anyone who is familiar with retro gaming should already know that the ducks have had plenty of adventures in gaming: Including two NES platformers based of the OG DuckTales as well as a remastered version of the first game!

Fun Fact! The remastered version is where the Gyro’s black licorice oxychew came from!

So I wouldn’t mind if we got a platformer starring the modern cast! Personally I’d love to play more than just Scrooge. The playable characters in my mind would be the main five: Scrooge, Webby, Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Oh and instead of a 2D platformer, I think this should be a 3D platformer

Donald has been in one of those before!

Like the NES game there will be different levels and you can select which one you want to go first! The world’s would be pretty big with certain areas only accessible to certain characters through their own respected skills

Game Idea 2: Fighting Game

DuckTales (2017) has the perfect cast of characters for a fighting game! They’re all adventurers that know how to fight! And they have their own distinct costumes, personalities, and fighting styles! Also can you imagine the different fighting stages?! That casino Gladstone got stuck in, Gyro’s lab, Darkwing’s lair, the Cloudslayer/Sunchaser (both the garage and on the plane), the dream world(s), the list goes on! Also Bradford in that armor from the finale in front of the The Solego Vortex would make for a GREAT final boss stage

Also besides the heroes I want the villains to be playable characters, this roster would be stacked! Also characters like Fenton and Drake can switch between their regular identities and their superhero identity

But most importantly, I want more character interactions! One thing I love in modern fighting games is their character specific dialogue between two fighters! It’s always fun and the characters from DuckTales would be perfect for that!

Yo Disney! If you need someone to come up with ideas for that, I’m your guy! I’m already coming up with some in my head

You know what? I want Huey, Dewey, and Louie as a team to count as one playable character kinda like how the Turtles are in Injustice. Same with May and June

Game Idea 3: RPG

I admit I ain’t the biggest RPG guy, the ones I really played through are stuff like the Mario themed ones, Pokémon, and Kingdom Hearts but I really think the DuckTales world would be perfect for this kind of game

I actually talked about this idea with @tokuvivor awhile back. We kinda imagined a turn based RPG with timed hits and party members like you’d see in Super Mario RPG and the early Paper Mario games (also Mario & Luigi but just for timed hits)

Since DuckTales has such a huge cast we thought it’d be fun if in the game you could meet different characters throughout the game and have them join your party. We were thinking about having 3-5 members for the player’s party and the only requirement would be one of the main characters (one of the triplets, Webby, or Scrooge) has to be in that group at all times. Kinda like the Mario ones require Mario to always be present in the team

Like I said about the fighting game, DuckTales has such a wide range of characters with their own unique skills, I think it’d be cool building your team to your liking

Game Idea 4: Mario Kart but with Ducks

Okay. Now I know that there have been a lot of Disney racing games some of which have featured some of these characters already. But come on, a Mario Kart type game in the DuckTales world would be so cool!!

Imagining driving around Scrooge’s Mansion in a go-kart! He’d be pissed but it’d be cool! Or in the streets of St. Canard! Or any of the places where the family has adventured!

But what would be REALLY cool is if Funso���s Fun Zone was a track! Just imagine this! You drive around Funso’s then all of sudden you find path leading down to F.O.WL.’s Lair!! That’d be so cool!

Sorry WHAT HAPPENED to your war domain cleric??? Can I have the DETAILS???

Unfortunately resolution is somewhat scant only because this all happened over the course of the last two sessions of a freshly rebooted campaign and we're all on an extended break for the holidays lol, but absolutely you can have details--

In my DM's homebrew setting, my cleric is a noble from a country that's ruled over by several half-brothers that each control one chunk of territory. The brothers are all related to the other by their father, but one of their mothers had a daughter as well who doesn't have a title claim but is more of a Princess Diana-type: adored by the people and has political sway through sheer force of social standing. My character is 29 and the princess is roughly 26-ish, so my DM and I improvised we'd know each other in our childhoods (thanks partly to a relatively high history roll), but weren't exactly on positive terms due to my character's haughty and hyper-competitive personality.

Flash forward a few sessions. My party is in this same country solving a string of serial killings, and I get a letter from the princess to come and meet up after dark. I go to the location with my party's fighter and bard, but I head up to meet her alone. A few shenanigans ensue that result in my cleric accidentally breaking an artifact of hers that was letting her see visions of something. As she was apologizing, the princess started kissing her, and I was like "Welp, my cleric absolutely doesn't pull away and starts kissing her back in the attic of this hat shop".

As I was mentally trying to pick what flavor of childhood-rivals-to-lovers sapphic revelation my girl was going to have through the rest of her story, my DM asks me to make a wisdom saving throw. I have a +9 to wisdom saving throws. I rolled a 2 on the dice.

My DM: "As you're kissing her, you feel your mind shut off for a quick minute. In the next moment of genuine awareness you have, you're standing in a blood-filled room with a sickle you don't recognize in one hand, and the princess's head in the other as you finish carving through the last few tendons in her neck."

End of session. I had my head on the table for five straight minutes.

My character spends the next session in basically a horror-filled fugue state as everyone with a shred of political power (plus her family, who she's on so-so terms with) puts on a sham trial and pins all 27 serial killings on her. Some more shenanigans happen and I think the real killer's about to take us all into a dungeon to murder us there, but that was the last session we had and I don't get back to the table until mid-January thanks to a work event I have to attend right after the holidays lol.

I know it was actually the princess and not someone disguised as her thanks to casting Locate Creature beforehand, and the flavor text/saving throw of the situation definitely aligns with Dominate Person, but basically all the whos, hows, or whys haven't been revealed because this was all the last two sessions and our party hasn't had the chance to look for clues.

As soon as my girl ceases to be an enemy of the state, I have to teach myself a nifty little resurrection spell so I can be like "So....sorry about murdering you, but can we give that other thing another shot pwease 👉👈 👩‍❤️‍👩❓".

What are the odds of Freddy Fazbear actually joining Super Smash Bros.?

Now, many people will say he shouldn't join, me being one of them, whether that's because he's seen as a meme character, lack of moveset potential, or just blind hatred is not the discussion. No, we are asking if it's actually possible for Five Night's at Freddy's to join not only Super Smash Bros. but the other "Challengers of Smash" (posts every Monday) as well.

Can Freddy join Smash?

Starting with Nickelodeon All Star Brawl, No, just no.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has a variety of reasons that they won't add Freddy. The first is that it's a Nickelodeon game, and given that all of the characters are Nickelodeon characters and Garfield, it's highly likely that Nickelodeon won't add them to keep with their brand aimed toward kids, despite most of FNAF's fan base, behind the scenes controversy and the fact that canonically most of NASB's roster will either No Diff Freddy, see this as another Saturday or will be completely ignored by him/her. Maybe if this was Viacom All Star Brawl or if it took up the name of its predecessor: Super Brawl. Then, the odds would rise to being slim.

Rating: Ha, no/10

Next up is Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale. Unlike Nickelodeon, the question isn't because he'd feel out of place due to the entire cast having differing themes and art styles. It's not because Freddy isn't a Playstation icon again due to the roster of the previous game. In this case, Freddy seems just as likely to join as Crash Bandicoot or Gubble. No, the main reason is because PSASBR is dead. The game came out in 2012, a decade, and 2 console generations ago.

Rating: Dead Game/10

Multiversus is up next and...I'd say 50/50. Yeah, unlike NASB and PSASBR, Multiversus is more based upon popularity, moveset potential, and whether WB has its head stuck up it's a__.

Rating: 5/10

The penultimate game is Fraymakers, being an indie based Smash Bros. Crossover makes Freddy a likely contender. The question is, either McCleoud or Scott Cawthon ready and/or willing to let him join?

Rating: More likely than you think/10

Finally, we reach Super Smash Bros. and I'd have to say Spirit or Mii Costume at best. Five Night's at Freddy's is a horror game, a pretty ok horror game, but one none the less. Compared to some of the other "horror" franchises in Smash Bros., we have Luigi's Mansion, which is more of a Scooby-Doo scary rather than actual horror, Castlevania despite being some level of violent is more so Fantasy Horror and Resident Evil, which is a "modern fantasy" version of horror, if that makes sense. And while yes, Eternal Darkness and Fatal Frame exist, they are in because Nintendo was involved in their games. Five Nights at Freddy's, on the other hand, has literal on-screen atari style, child murder as a legit feature, and while there is a chance that some of the other franchises previously listed have some degree of child murder as well, you forget those franchises are multi-generational AAA games. Indie games do have a presence in Smash but to a much lesser degree than the big companies, and Freddy has some tough competition in that department, Shovel Knight, Shantae, Zagreus, Sans, and CommanderVideo already appearing in Smash, and outside you have characters such as Hat Kid and The Knight from Hollow Knight as viable options. So, while Freddy has a chance due to multiple factors, including whether Smash will continue to expand the roster or if it will reboot. Sorry, this is just a party you probably won't be rented out for.

Julia exclaims as she steps in, the group of former contestants turning to her with mixed reactions. Chase ran up to her and gave her a high five, gladly welcoming her in. “Heyy, Julia! It’s good to see you made it! Oh- you should try the cake! It’s suuuuper good!” The dark brunet laughs, taking another piece of cake from the table, scarfing it down as he goes over to Ripper.

MK, the kleptomaniac, gave her a half glance turned glare, before returning to sipping on her soda.

Wayne and Raj greeted her as well, the former more welcoming than the latter, since he didn’t have a boyfriend who didn’t hate her guts yet. “Yooo, Jules! You made it! I was just telling Raj that I was getting worried about you, come on!” The dirty blonde led her to the large table with a clean white table cloth draped over it, with dozens of plates of food on it. Wow, they really wanted to celebrate this much over the several grueling weeks they all had shared together. In a way, she found it cute, in the other, she just saw it as free food.

Sure, she would have preferred to win the money, but free food is fine, she supposed.

Julia was about to take a small bowl of cut up mango, before an arm stopped her. “Nuh uh, no way I’m letting you in here.” Bowie’s voice sounded stern, and annoyed at the same time. “This is a No-Julia party from here on out,” He crossed his arms, looking down at the influencer with a raised eyebrow, his eyes narrowing slightly.

“Uhm. Hello? This is a party for every contestant, buttknuckle. I don’t know if that finale gave you brain damage, but I was one of them!”

“You’re insufferable and such a liar- I can guarantee you that almost nobody wants you here!”

“It was for the game, what, have you never even seen a show like Total Drama before? And don’t act like you weren’t fake too, you voted off Chase and lied to Emma’s face! Who would do such a thing to their best friend- oh right, you.”

That, got the attention of Emma, who at this point had been talking to Damien, the both of them were too engrossed in their conversation to even notice what was going on. In the corner of her eye, she saw the two turn toward the chaos at the table.

“You little..”

Julia watched as her arch-enemy winced, while his boyfriend put a hand on his shoulder, and he grumbled.

“You’re still more fake than me.. but I guess you can stay. Only because some people here actually like you, but also because it’s Priya’s party too.” Julia’s purple-grey eyes briefly shifted to Wayne’s, then briefly over to Damien, to whom avoided her gaze. As she expected.

“Thank you.”

She smiled at Bowie sweetly, before taking her bowl of chopped up mango, and the party slowly resumed to what it was before. The music was bumping loudly in the large room, the disco floor lighting up the room brightly, while some of the boys played video games on the big tv screen.

Time went by, and things got sort of overwhelming for Julia, in a way. Don’t get her wrong, she likes parties — she danced a lot in the first hour of the party— but after everything that happened before joining the show, her father and the Internet basically isolating her,, yeah, this party was bound to be overwhelming. She stood next to the wall, leaning against it as she surveyed her peers in the room, her eyes slightly narrowed.

“Okay, Julia.. you got this. It’s just a stupid party with all these stupid buttknuckles.” She took a shallow breath in, and let it out quietly. She ate her fruit in peace, growing more uncomfortable by the minute. She had been here for two hours at this point, and the party had yet to show signs of stopping.

She was Julia Holland, the girl of the hour. The biggest villain of the season. The girl who powered her way to fourth place, and could have won if she never pointed out the damn coins in that pond. A stupid party really shouldn’t make her feel awful, it shouldn’t.

But unfortunately, it was.

So, she decided to step outside for just a moment, to let all her frustration out. Julia put her bowl of fruit on the table, and walked out the door without anybody noticing. She was just tired of everything that’s been happening these past few weeks. Losing all her followers, getting exposed on international TV— getting thrown into a pit of firey bees or whatever that was, but the quips MK, Bowie, Emma and the rest of the cast threw her way never bothered her. At least, almost never bothered her. She guessed she never did that well in overwhelming situations like this.

There was this time where her father tried to get her to make friends with girls her age. It normally either ended up with a fight, or the other girl crying. Sometimes both — but in her opinion they absolutely deserved it.

Then there was the birthday parties her mother embarrassed her at. God, that struck her young, fragile ego hard.

Soon, she felt a few drops of rain hit her face, snapping her out of her thoughts of the past.

Oh, buttknuckles.

Damien watched the other teens play video games on the big screen, causally sipping on a soda, MK right by his side. While Chase and Ripper were busy fighting and yelling at each other, he looked around the party a bit.

Zee was telling Caleb and Nichelle a story, likely on how he lost his leg.

Scary Girl was standing in the corner making a skull out of a random assortment of food from the main table. Weird.. and scary…

Emma was talking to Wayne and Axel. Probably complaining about Bow- oh no no, she was smiling. All was good, then. Probably

Raj was talking to Bowie, like the cool gay nerds they were. He couldn’t deny that they were cute, even if he himself wasn’t really into all that lovey-dovey stuff.

He saw everyone, except for Julia.

He turned to MK, his right eyebrow gently raised in curiosity. “Hey, MK- have you seen Julia? She’s like, gone. Do you think she’s okay?” He heard MK laugh, which was fair.

“Yeah, no. I don’t care about Julia. She probably thought she was better than some crummy party. Besides, why do you care about Julia of all people? What, you like her or something?”

“What? No, gross! I’m not into romance or anything like that.” Damien’s eyebrows furrowed briefly, before he answered MK’s previous question. “I care because - ah, I don’t know .. sure, Julia isn’t the greatest person ever, but she’s still a person.”

“Influencers aren’t people. Julia definitely isn’t, let’s face it Damien.” MK said, only turning away when the TV said ‘PIZZACHASER WON!’, the two of them watching Chase cheer loudly while Ripper started to scream as if his kidneys had been ripped out of his body. Damien cringed at the sudden loud noise, glancing at MK to realize she had magically put on a pair of soundproof headphones. Damn, he could really use those right now. Oh whatever.

He walked away from the loud noise, rolling his eyes as he held his drink close to his chest, looking down at the floor. Soon, he bumped into somebody.

“Oh! Crap, I am so sorry-“ He looked up, seeing that he had spilled some of his soda on Raj. He turned, and so did Bowie and Priya- (Priya? When did she get here?), the hockey player looking at him with a smile and apologetic eyes. “Oh- don’t worry Damien! It happens all the time to me and Wayne-“

“Wayne and I.” Bowie and Priya briefly cut in at the same time.

“Same thing, guys!” Raj giggled, wiping some of the soda into his shirt by accident as he tried to get it off. “Ah shoot..” Damien heard him mumble, and stared at him for a second with concern, before brushing it off as he asked his question. “Have you seen Julia? Like, since the party actually started..” Raj blinked at him blankly, before glancing back at Priya and Bowie, and Millie who just appeared next to them. “Uhh… no? I mean I saw her likeee… I don’t know! I saw her after we played Just Dance and it looked like she wasn’t having a good time, which kinda sucks. It’s a party, you know?” Damien simply nodded, looking over at the front door.

“I’ll be back, I’m just gonna get some fresh air, it’s too loud.” He laughed lightly, and walked out of the door.

He walked onto the porch, closing the door behind him. In front of him, he saw a blonde with her head in her hands, shaking from the cold as the sky rained down on her. “Julia?” He asked, walking over to her slowly, sitting down next to his old friend on the staircase, the rain gently beating down on the two. He set his soda down next to him, his gaze focused on the weeping blonde. “..Jules?” He asked quietly, his eyebrows knit together in concern.

The quiet cries of the girl stopped as soon as he put his hand onto her shoulder, and he quickly pulled it away. She lifted her face from her hands, and there he saw the mess of makeup on her face. Her mascara was running down her face, and her lipstick was slightly smudged.

“What, are you gonna make fun of me, Damien?” She glared at him, a small sniffle coming from her. “This is so embarrassing.” She grumbled, the man hummed lowly, “What? I wasn’t gonna make fun of you, I’m not like MK or Bowie.” He said as he took off his yellow hat.

“Not yet.”

“Not ever, Jules. You know that.” He took off his jacket, draping it over Julia’s shoulders.

“No, I don’t!” Julia raised her voice, snapping at him, sitting up straight as the rain danced on the pair. “I don’t know if you’ll be like them — you should be mad at me, Damien! You have every single right to be mad at me! I don’t understand why you’re not!” She jabbed her index finger into his chest, right where his heart was. “I. don’t. get. you. Why do you suddenly care now?? Why do you care about me crying over some STUPID party?! Why can’t we just leave each other’s lives and move on already??”

“I care because I miss you! I care because I miss our friendship, Julia. I care because I know- deep down inside you, is the girl I once knew when we were kids! I moved on, Jules!” He frowns, looking the blonde right in the eyes, pulling her hand away from his chest. “You're the person who can’t.” He paused, watching her eyes widen before she looked away.

“..I’m sorry, Julia, but I’m telling the truth. I’ve moved on from everything, I’ve got friends, I got accepted into the college I always talked about— I-I even learned that I don’t like romance! And what have you done? Make a fake persona to gain views and popularity.” His brows furrowed once more, but it wasn’t out of concern, it was out of anger. “You .. were never that obsessed with yoga or nature or anything like that. What- what happened to you, Julia?”

“I don’t know what happened to me.” She said in a stern voice, “Ever since we stopped talking, my life has turned to shit, Damien! I tried to contact you but you never responded, not once! So then I tried to fix things with my father, do the meditating crystals and yoga like he always preached about, that sort of bullshit. I made myself something I could do to forget about you.. and then we both signed up for this fucking show, and my whole career I built up for myself vanished in an instant! I lost my followers, my sponsors- my dad’s trust! The million dollars was the only thing I had going for me then.. and then I lost that to those stupid buttknuckles.”

Damien stared at her for a long moment, soaking in the information that she just spilled out to him, actually speechless for once as Julia continued.

“I should have won the million! Not Bowie, not Priya, me!”

“Do you think I wasn’t salty too, Julia? You’re not the only one who lost.”

Julia froze at his cold tone, immediately shutting up. Damien sighed, giving himself a moment to relax.

“..I get it, though. Why you did what you did, I get it. I’m honestly just glad you weren’t actually a hippie granola girl, you know?” Julia looked up at the sky, letting the rain fall onto her face, washing away some of her messy makeup.

“…Yeah.”

A long moment of silence washes over the two, listening to the loud music blaring from inside the building, contrasting with the cold rain.

“I’m.. sorry.. for ruining our friendship.”

Julia says quietly, ashamed that she even had to say sorry in the first place. This was so unlike her. So vulnerable. She let her walls down once since the start of the show, and he doubts she’ll ever do it again.

Damien looked over at his old friend once more, a small smile on his face. “It’s alright, Julia.” He wrapped his arm around her, his yellow hat in his other hand. The two were so engrossed in their little heart to heart, they didn’t even realize that the front door was open. Bowie, Priya, Millie, and a few others were listening and watching this whole scene play out.

“Are you two done?” Bowie asked, his tone slightly annoyed.

Damien cocked his head towards the front door, giving Bowie a mean glare. Bowie’s brows raised slightly, never having seen him so mad before. Besides the finale, that is.

“Oookay, then.. I’ll just leave you two to it.”

The door shut, leaving the two childhood friends alone at last.

“Sorry about that.”

“It’s fine, there’s nothing I can do about it now. If they want to make fun of me, then so what? I don’t care.”

Damien laughed lightly, feeling some nostalgia tug at his heart. “That’s the Julia I know. You never cared about what anybody thought of you. You’re tough, strong..” He trailed off, but only for a moment.

“And you’re my friend, Jules.”

Julia rolled her eyes, “I forgot how cheesy you could be. And whatever, I guess.”

“Yeah, yeah, whatever.” He laughs. “..I’m always here to comfort you, Julia. Like we promised when we were kids.”

The rain slowly stopped as the minutes went by.

Julia let herself smile softly as wrapped her childhood friend’s jacket around her tighter.

Finally, she felt comforted.

I had to talk about this, because for the past five minutes, I’ve been jumping up and down in my room with absolute euphoria

So at my university there’s this sitcom that was made in 2003 that we’re rebooting

And I was like “ooo I really wanna be a part of that!”

So I auditioned. And got callbacks.

The main cast is relatively small, and the part I was aiming for was the lead, but I still had high hopes.

In her storyline, she attends a party where she gets hit in the head (by a coconut I believe 💀, the cast hasn’t had the chance to read the whole script yet), and falls into an 8 month coma, missing a whole semester of college. -What would your character wear if they were told they had to gussy up? Crisp, extremely trendy designer suit. Expensive sunglasses. Expensive smartwatch. His human face.

-What does your character smell like? Woodsmoke, tobacco, gasoline, and Axe body spray.

-Would your character prefer baking, cooking or mixing drinks? NONE of the above, he doesn’t eat or drink. If anything, probably mixing drinks just so he has something to carry around to make him look more casual.

-What season would your character say they're most similar to? Summer. Hot and kinda greasy.

-What animal would your character say best represents them? The human animal. (EDGELORD ALERT EDGELORD ALERT)

-What is your character's favorite kind of social event? Parties. Like, absolute ragers. Ones where people are already 

-How comfortable would your character be singing and dancing in front of others? If it’ll get eyes on him, he’ll do anything.

-Is your character upfront about their feelings? Absolutely not. Whatever he says he’s feeling is just what he thinks will get people to do what he says.

-How willing would your character be to go to a party with people they don't know? Brother, he’s the one throwing the party and inviting everyone in a five mile radius.

-How likely is it for your character to initiate a friendship? He’ll forge alliances at the drop of a hat if it helps him get what he wants, but I don’t think he knows what a friendship is. I think the idea would make him gag.

-Does your character have any allergies?  Before I rebooted him it would have been holy water, but now that he’s more of an eldritch horror than a demon, i’m not sure! What is there for him to be allergic to. 

-How does your character relax?  He doesn’t. He has the grind to keep up!!!

-Is your character more energized in the morning, afternoon or at night? He doesn’t sleep, so it’s anyone’s guess.

-How often does your character have nightmares? Only when he’s been in his human vessel for too long. Starts to get teeth falling out dreams.

-Does your character have a high pain tolerance? Astronomically high. His human body is disposable and his real form (goopmode) isn’t really… like. Injurable. 

-Does your character have a secret hobby? Tumblr posting. He’s great at seeding really stupid discourse.

-What is a talent your character wishes they had? 4chan posting. He doesn’t understand how they clock him as a poser every time.

-Which does your character try to prioritize more, work or hobbies? All of his hobbies contribute to the hustle, they’re equally as important! A party is a networking opportunity. Being entirely too online is an attention opportunity.

-Does your character work better with creative or technical endeavors?  Closer to a 40/60 split in favor of technical. He’s a showman at heart, but his technical skills are the scaffolding that support his whole venture.

-What is a talent that your character is proud of? He can walk up to a stranger on the street and 9 times out of 10 convince them of ANYTHING. Great fun.

-Is your character more outdoorsy or indoorsy?  Indoors. It’s where all the people are.

-What is a topic your character would be excited to talk about?  Advanced SEO optimization buzzwords and subliminal marketing tricks. Somehow he makes it the most interesting infodump you’ve ever experienced. 

-Is there a skill your character doesn’t know they’re bad at? He’s actually not as smooth and charming as he thinks he is. It’s not hard to tell he’s a greasy weasel.

-Does your character have any injury stories? His last vessel was a businessman in the 1970s who got wildly successful and then the mob ordered a hit on him and he “mysteriously died” by being turned into paste by a moving train

-How good is your character at following through on projects? A+ top notch. If it’s going to get him a leg up he’s going to follow through.

Honest to God, I was thinking of your stories earlier today and thought how lucky we are you spend any time writing fan fiction (and for the show that is my hyper fixation! How did I get this lucky?) because you’re so fucking talented you should writing real books.

The wonderful thing about fanfiction is that writing for Ted Lasso has full-on cured my years-long writing slump. And I am looking at all of these book ideas, some of which have been kicking around in my brain for going on 10 years, and i'm like....yeah, yeah. I am going to work on those :D

So these are the ones I'm working on. They are in various states of progress.

My Babies! If any of these are getting finished first, it will be one of these three!

Barnacle - the placeholder name for my DETECTIVE STORY. A woman who has recently left a troubled marriage, our main character is a shell of the person she used to be. Wanting to put as much distance between her and the California life she left behind, she's rented a cabin in the middle of a small tourist town in the northern cold. When a man in the neighboring cabin is murdered during the night, she finds her mind stirred to action as the pieces of herself that she thought lost slowly come back to her. (And then she becomes a private investigator because I love detective stories and she solves crimes and makes friends and this is just the first one and I'm like. super excited about it.)

A Robot Named Future - this one is my long-brewing wip. It's about an AI robot from the not-to-distant future that gets rebooted ('wakes up') in a junkyard the very far distant future. Lots of scifi tropes, lots about the erosion of history and humans always being humans, and of course, food. Like a lot about food in this one.

Chasing Whispers in the Canyon (Western (sort of)) - Injured and AWOL military soldier Joanna is on the brink of death in the middle of the desert when she is saved by a tall, pale stranger. Her and the stranger -- an offputting, odd woman who's absolutely lethal with a pistol - hunker down together in a small town that seems on the verge of its own small war. When trouble comes for Joanna, the stranger risks drawing the attention of her own complicated past to save the woman who is possibly her only friend. (yes, the placeholder title is a song title. One song spurred all of this. I regret nothing)

The ones I'll get to one day!

Boots and Babes on the Boardwalk - I don't know why I titled it this way other than the alliteration (needs a new title). This one is about a partially closeted, mentally ill, middle aged gay man who's running his conservaative family's shady business. He just fell head over heels about another man, and that's serving as an impetus for him to actually look at his life. On temporary hiatus because the plot is a little wobbly

The Lens - Guy who recently went blind and had to drop out of an art program accompanies his still-seeing friend to a museum exhibit. Due to the awkward tension their circumstances have put between them, neither notices when his friend proceeds to lose the camera equipment he'd checked out from campus. With the museum closing in an hour and his friend's final grades on the line, these two piece together where in the museum his friend lost his camera. (this one is more like a novella or a long short story)

The Hoard - One night. One party. Five thieves. One pile of dragon treasure. (Think leverage but the treasure they are stealing belongs to a corrupt government via dragons).

Hawaiian Shirts and Bruised Eyes - A butch, lesbian stuntwoman who broke her arm on a motorcycle meets a nurse at the hospital who may just be the love of her life. The love of her life may also be a serial killer. It's hard to say.

The Frog Witch - vengeful disgraced witch lady seeks revenge against the people who wronged her with the help of a prince who has been cast out from his people. References to Euripedes' Medea.

So been thinking lately about how way back (somewhere 5-10 years ago? that's when I followed the most dp blogs, at least) there were a lot of posts around people imagining a Danny Phantom reboot. I read a lot of them, probably reblogged some of them, but with my chronically-late-to-the-party disease I'm only really playing around with my own ideas now.

So. How would I put together a DP reboot? Not necessarily what the best way is, but what would I want to do. I really like outlining, so this is a fun little thought experiment even though I should really be writing

Okay, so to start out with - what's that one post? What I want from fandom is not what I want from canon? There is… a lot of DP fanon out there that's really fun, but definitely should be restricted to fanon only (at least in it's typical form).

After that: format of the show. There's a lot more styles of kid cartoons now-a-days, and a lot of shows on the spectrum from serialized/progressive story to monster of the week. I think I would put this more on the pure monster of the week half. More Teen Titans than Avatar.

Or, well, if I'm being really honest, more like Leverage.

Leverage is a heist show with a very strong cast of characters, where each episode had a different target, so you could largely watch any episode and understand the plot fully. There were season-long "villains" that would be taken down in the season finale, but their involvement in the rest of the season's episodes was very limited.

The biggest connection here, though, is that throughout its five seasons the characters had very strong character progression - the characters were still recognizable between season 1 and season 5, but they were also noticeably different.

They learned lessons and had development throughout, and that was really the heart of the show - seeing them learn and grown and heal and become better people together. And it was consistent, not backtracking whenever they wanted for the sake of an episode idea (be real, we all just thought of an episode name).

So, rather than developing intricate plot arcs, I think I would want this hypothetical reboot to instead focus on thematic arcs each season, that could be injected into individual monster-of-the-week plots, leading up to the big resolution in the season finale.

And that's why I think the first season finale would be Spectra.

"Spectra?" I can hear you say, "I mean, she's memorable, but is she really finale-worth? What about a Freakshow, or a Pariah Dark, or a Dan?"

Look, just - hear me out. See my vision.

So I want to loop back to that concept from earlier of fanon vs canon, and look at one of the core concepts of the show: Danny's ghost powers, and what they mean. Now, while it's not… terribly clear in canon, I think the original intent (per the theme song) was that he just had mutated DNA that gave him ghost powers.

Of course, all of us watching took one look and threw that in the trash and went "nah, he's half ghost, thus half dead". And rightfully so! Much more interesting.

Why not take that into the hypothetical reboot, then, make something of a meta-commentary, a dialogue with the original? Have that be something Danny goes back and forth over throughout the season? Maybe in the beginning he very confidently asserts that he was just mutated, it's just powers… but as things seem to contradict that, there's an internal struggle, he's not dead, he's obviously alive, he can't be dead -

And if that's the internal struggle he's over-coming through the first season, who better to force the final confrontation within himself than Spectra?

Winx Club Rewrite: General Info

I understand this is me being very late to the party, but that's pretty on-brand for me at this point lol

A few years ago, I started to work on a possible rewrite for Fate: The Winx Saga but it soon became this monstrous project of rewriting the entire franchise. Because while this series is one of my beloved childhood series, it is also very messy with its world-building and plotlines, as well being done dirty over and over again by its countless reboots. As much as I would have loved to create a full-on alternative universe like the ones I've seen on tumblr for years, it just took up so much of my time that could have been spent on other projects and it was starting to feel more like a chore than anything else. Eventually, I did create some fashion boards for how to translate their outfits from the show into real life, and wrote up some concept ideas for their live-action costumes, which led to me just writing up the notes I had for the rewrite to share them with y'all.

Some of these ideas were inspired by other people's rewrite of the series, some of these ideas came to me while writing this up, and a lot of these are my attempt to make sense of Winx Club's fucked-up lore. While these were originally written with a live-action reboot in mind, these could also work for an animated reboot targeted for teens/young adults.

This is probably the extent I'll do for any sort of Winx Club rewrite, but it was still fun!

-There are five main planets which circles the giant sun of the Magical Dimension. Omega is the furthest planet (being more similar to a planetoid) and contains mostly wastelands, which act as different levels of imprisonment for criminals or ancient beings of darkness. Orez, Fallat, and Rot are also planetoids which circle the sun, being even further out than Omega but they were once seen as part of an ancient prophecy. Callisto was the first planet to be born (despite being the smallest of them all), and it acts as the setting for the series, as it is home for the city of Magix, three main schools, the Fortress of Light, Pixie Village, and the remains of Aster Dell. Lumenia is the planet which has Solaria (the biggest kingdom), Eraklyon, the wasteland which was Domino (located near the top of the planet), Dyamond, the island of Quartzia (a renamed Isis/Iris), and Romulea. Titania is the home of Zenith (its largest country), Melody, Oppositus, Hoggar, Whisperia, and Dolona. Valeria is the planet which has Andros (along with its dual kingdom of Atlantis & the small country of Tides), Linphea, Serenia, Prometia, Espero, and Ohm.

-Fairies are a group of magi would use their emotions and memories to fuel their magic, with their wings being created from their leftover magical reserves and the transformations are used to help fairies control their increasing magical prowess as they get older, especially if said transformation is used to help out in a certain situation. Witches are a group of magi who use religion, the elements, and other aspects of the natural world to fuel their magic; depending on what teachings they decide to follow, witches can follow different paths in life to help out in their societies. Wizards are a group of magi who similar to witches (hence why they attend the same schools), but they are known for combining both ancient forms of magic and science to perform spells, as well as using external magical conductors such as staffs or tattoos.

-Knights is the term to describe humans who possess some level of magic in order to wield magical weapons and possess some level of superhuman abilities (namely speed, strength, and agility), but do not possess the abilities to transform or perform spells; whether the knight is a male or female, they are all taught in hand-to-hand combat and weaponry. Specialists are co-ed knights who have been trained in specific fields based on their strengths and use technology-based weaponry suited for their abilities (with magical stones used to 'transform' into their armor and heighten their natural abilities), as well as study in the field of their choosing for potential job opportunities. After graduation, Specialists can continue their training through two different paths: Paladins (male knights who use more brute force and elemental-based weaponry, often being enlisted by the Fortress of Light or become guardians of the Omega Portals) or Valkyries (female knights who have been trained by professional spies and use two weapons, often being enlisted for political or wartime missions)

-Alfea is a school for fairies, Cloud Tower is a school for witches & wizards, and Red Fountain is a school for the Knights (including Specialists, Paladins, and Valkyries). All the schools are proper colleges, so the characters are aged up to be around 18-20 years old when they are introduced.

-There are people who have magic but do not fit neatly in the traditional groups. This includes Fanus (people with the ability to transform into animals native to their kingdoms), Magical Beings (such as elves, mermaids, leprechauns, pixies, ogres, orcs, etc.), Monsters (which include dragons, harpies, vampires, dryads, etc.), and Casters (those possessing strong supernatural abilities, usually having super-specific abilities or roles)

-Morphix is an unnatural magical source, created by the Pixies to protect their village. Helia is the one to control this substance, being the grandchild of Saladin and having higher magical capabilities than most Specialists

-The Nymphs of Magix do not exist, but instead, the Company of Light takes their place as the ancient society who oversaw the Magical Dimension after the Great Dragon's disappearance. Both Marion and Oritel were a part of this group (along with Faragonda, Saladin, Griffin, etc.), and Daphne would have joined their ranks if Domino had not been destroyed.

-The concept of Nymphs does exist, but it is seen as the final transformation for a fairy, with the only equivalent being death. When a fairy is so devoted to their magic, their spirit will separate from their physical form and become one with the magic which flows through their veins, thus becoming an ethereal guardian of their kingdom. As price for their devotion, their existence is erased from the memories of all who knew them.

-The Dragon Flame chooses its wielder, instead of it being passed down through one bloodline. When a new wielder is born, the current keeper of the Dragon Flame shall seek them out and help them get their powers under control, with them being gifted the Dragon Flame upon their 16th birthday. Bloom is the exception to these two rules, as she is the first wielder to have been born the existing one (Marion was mentored by Maya after receiving the Dragon Flame) and she was given its power upon her mother's death, with Daphne using a spell to hide her magic when she sent Bloom to Earth.

As she finish to walked towards the stairs and looked up

Vanessa: Brownie Bean, hurry we’re gonna be late, and the others will be here soon (Dressed up as a Yellow Princess).

Gregory: I’m coming, I’m almost done with my costume

(The doorbell rings)

Vanessa: hmm must be tricker-treaters (walks toward the front door)

Freddy: well come on, the others are probably already their what are we waiting for, Autobots Roll Out (internally: I’ve always wanted to say that)

After a short while our 3 star fam and friends made their way to the spookfest party, it was a huge outdoor celebration in a large pumpkin patch

Cassie: Woah this place is so cool

Gregory: hey guys let’s make a bet, whoever can gather the most candy from this place wins

Ellis: your on, and the loser has give the winner all their best candy

Amelia: Bring it chumps

Oswald: this is not gonna end well is it 😒

Gregory: 3 2 1 go go go

Vanessa: guys just don’t cause trouble for anyone, (small sigh), Cassie, Tony, Oswald please make sure they don’t get into any trouble

they all went to enjoy their time, Gregory and his friends competed in games and challenges all over the Spookfest, Meanwhile Vannesa - Freddy - Roxy and Jeremy supervised them from afar, as time passed vanessa was greeted by their other friends Luis Cabrera, Nora Wu, Tristan Mazely and Daniel Rocha, Luis was dressed as a Knight, Nora was dressed as a Ranger, Tristan was a Bard, Daniel was a Rogue and Quinn was a Witch.

Vanessa: Guys their you are, wow I’m really digging the fantasy fits

Vanessa: Thank you, I made the costume myself but Gregory actually was the one who suggested it to me

Nora: so how is your little Gremlin doing

Vanessa: he’s doing fine, he and his friends wanted to come out here and hang out

Soon Vanessa and her friends found their conversation ending quickly as they noticed the arrival of their animatronic friends Bonnie, Chica, Foxy and Monty, Bonnie was dressed as A ghost, Chica was dressed as a Fairy, Foxy was a Pumpkin and moon was a Candy Corn, Monty didn’t dress up

Chica: Hi Bestie, sorry we’re a little late

Bonnie: yeah it took forever for us to pick out costumes

Moon: that and a certain Reptilian refused to wear something

Monty: I don’t need to wear anything, this is the only time of year where I can go as myself

Foxy: never mind him, how have you’ve guys been

Tristan we’ve been pretty good, how about you guys

Chica: seven been doing fine as well

Daniel: anyway come on guys let’s not just stand around we’re here to celebrate Halloween

Quinn: Agreed let’s get this party started

As the night went on they were Halloween songs, face painting, corn mazes and many other things, it almost felt as if this night would never end

Jeremy: man this night sure has been fun, I haven’t felt this way about Halloween for a long time

Freddy: I agree tonight’s been such a fun night

Roxanne: y know I’n surprised, I thought the kids were gonna get in some kind of trouble or something

Roxy immediately took her words back as soon as she heard a man yell at some kids

Underpaid worker: HEY GET BACK HERE YA LITTLE HEATHENS

The worker just so happens to be yelling at Gregory, Ellis, Amelia and Devon as they made their way to the others

Gregory: hey mom, uh I think we’re ready to go now

Vanessa: what did you kids do this time

Gregory, Ellis, Amelia and Devon: Nothing 😅😁

Tony: They took all the candy bowls and filled their bags

Underpaid Worker: THERE YOU ARE

Ellis: BOOK IT

And as the faz-family made their grand escape from the wrath of an angry worker they all looked at each other while smiling and laughing knowing that they all had one of if not the best Halloween ever.

As the doorbell rings a small group of 6 kids patiently await the door to open, as they hear the locks and door opening they are met with a large and tall orange bear man

Freddy: hello kids, alright everyone line up, you can each take 5 pieces of candy

Freddy: oh, well I’m a Advance Sentient AI that’s haunted by an unresting Spirit

The Mane 6 and Spike

Some headcanons about the Mane 6 and Spike in my reboot au. Their personalities are largely unchanged from canon but stuff like appearances, family history and other things will be different.

This post is subject to updating in the future as I come up with more headcanons.

Twilight Sparkle

15-years-old at the beginning of the series; turns 16 in Sweet and Elite. She is the youngest of the Mane 6.

Twilight’s birthday is in Spring as the Canterlot garden party is a Spring event.

Twilight is an early bloomer as she got her Cutie Mark when she was almost six years old.

Twilight is a year younger than her schoolmates as she was admitted into the School for Gifted Unicorns a year early.

Taller than the average Unicorn mare, even a Canterlotian one (Unicorns from Canterlot are usually taller than those from other places). She is still shorter than her older brother and is not very physically fit - at first.

She gains some inches after becoming an Alicorn, but AJ is still the tallest of the group.

Her height (and Shining Armor’s) is due to possessing Alicorn blood from her father’s side.

Twilight has Kirin blood from her mother’s side, explaining why she sometimes bursts into flame when she’s really angry.

Before moving to Ponyville, Twilight used to look unkempt because she was more focused on her studies so she didn’t care too much about her appearance.

She wears glasses because I like how they look on Sci-Twi. Twilight’s glasses used to be thick and unflattering since she cared more about practicality than appearance. At Rarity’s advice (insistence), she switches them for nicer-looking ones.

On her mother’s family is tradition that the firstborn daughter is given the name Twilight [something]. This tradition goes back to long before Equestria was formed. The exact reason for this tradition has been lost to time but the most accepted theory is that an ancestor named Twilight did something worthy of honor.

This theory isn’t entirely wrong.

On her father’s family is tradition for the daughters to have Sparkle as part of their names in honor of the family’s founder. The sons have names that reference light ex. Shining Armor and Night Light.

Twilight is in the neuro-divergent spectrum, and Owlowiscious serves in the role of service animal. (Inspired by @princess-of-the-corner).

Spike

10-years-old at the beginning of the series; turns 11 in Secret of my Excess. I decided to age him up a bit for reasons.

Dragon Molt occurs around the age of 13 (is dragon-puberty) so Spike goes through it sometime after Twilight’s ascension.

It is explicitly made clear from the beginning that Twilight sees Spike as her little brother, as does the rest of the Sparkle Family. In fact, Spike was officially adopted by the Sparkle Family shortly after Twilight became Celestia’s student.

I’m not very fond of how the young dragons look so anthropomorphic compared to the adults, so Spike will be more ‘animalistic.’ Meaning that he’s mostly quadrupedal. He is still cute and chubby, though.

Spike can switch between walking on four legs or two legs, using his tail to balance himself when he goes bipedal.

Dragons are magical so Spike will also know or learn dragon-specific spells.

His letter-sending fire breath is a spell that Princess Celestia taught him.

Twilight was the one who gave Spike his name. She named him after a dragon from legends.

Pinkie Pie

15-years-old at the beginning of the series; turns 16 in Party of One. She’s older than Twilight.

Pinkie is an early bloomer as she got her Cutie Mark when she was five.

She has Pegasus ancestry on her father’s side and Crystal Pony ancestry on her mother’s side. The Crystal Pony genes explain why her mane deflates and her color dulls when she’s sad. (This last idea was inspired by @princess-of-the-corner).

Pinkie Pie is smaller than average for an Earth Pony and is actually the smallest of the Mane 6. She is a bit chubby due to all the sweets she eats, but she also has muscles from being raised in a rock farm.

Applejack

Almost 18-years-old at the beginning  of the series; she’s the oldest amongst her friends, so she takes on the role of big sister to the others.

Applejack is familiar with many non-pony races since her relatives live all over the world.

Applejack is the tallest and most buff of the Mane 6; most members of the Apples are bigger than average for Earth Ponies. Big MacIntosh is still taller than her.

Rainbow Dash

17-years-old at the beginning of the series; a few months younger than Fluttershy.

Rainbow Dash is of average height for a Pegasus and has a streamlined body shape that is made for speed. He wings are reminiscent to those of a raptor bird.

Rarity

16-years-old; just a few months older than Twilight and Pinkie.

Rarity is an early bloomer as she got her Cutie Mark when she was six.

Rarity opened The Carousel Boutique and started her own business just a few months before Twilight first came to Ponyville. That it’s part of whys he’s so eager to make connections and get exposure from Canterlot.

Rarity has the average size and build of an Unicorn, being a couple on inches taller than Rainbow Dash without counting her horn, though a bit more muscular due to martial arts training. She still ranks high on Unicornian beauty standards.

Fluttershy

17 to 18-years-old; second oldest of the group, younger than Applejack but older than Rainbow Dash.

Her body shape is more like that of an Unicorn than a Pegasus: she’s very slim, long-limbed and delicate looking. She is taller than Rarity and Rainbow Dash. Her appearance fits Unicorn beauty standards, especially those from Canterlot.

Her wings are large and elegant, built more for graceful gliding than high-speed flight. Though she can still fly fast when necessary.

Her ears are larger than normal and tufted due to Thestral ancestry on her father’s side. She also has Earth Pony ancestry of her mother’s side.
