Set in "Workers (1st affiliate) Arc" Ch. 449 - 478
A/N: Kinda just want to set the stage for my boy Grimm in one of the arcs~ Also he's closer to second generation in age but not considered a minor anymore.
Words: 558
Tumblr media
'Geez, kids really make such complicated plans, when there's a much easier way.' Grimm thought as he descended the ladder of the lift shaft. With a silent step he landed on top of the wagon and crouched down to feel up where the emergency exit should be.
Once his fingers traced the entrance, he got his tools out and cracked it open from the outside. Luckily, he always had light fingers, so, there was barely a sound.
When he opened the lid, he checked whether allied cleared the way - and they did. The only thing left was the car.
He stepped onto the car with nimble feet and climbed down without effort. The driver seemed silent, probably didn't notice him yet, and, honestly Grimm preferred it this way.
Yet, when he walked around the vehicle, he noticed that another person was still laying inside.
He DID wonder who this mystery person is. As far as he can tell Allied is a group of six guys and the kwak individuals are already on his radar...
A peek can't hurt, can it?
When he got closer, he still couldn't see shit. So, in his curiosity, he got inside and next to the figure - in his peripheral he kept Jiboem in sight. His fingers tugged at the cloth and revealed the identity of this-
Tumblr media
A fist shot up and almost hit his face. This is bad. It's not just anyones fist, but the one of Jake Kim!
He swiftly got out of the car, while the other man got up with a hearty yawn and stretch.
"Can't believe those fuckers left without waking me. And then there's a masked creep in front of my face when I do." Jake Kim moaned.
"Pleasure’s on my side~" came the smug answer of the so-called masked creep, "how about you keep the face hitting for the baddies~? Much obliged."
"And how can I be sure you're no bad guy?" Jake asked as he got up and walked over to him, fists raised chest high.
Grimm shrugged and cocked his head "No badge for one and I am just here to collect."
"Who?"
"You mean, what." The masked guy shot back: "Information. Big names were having sudden medical issues and vanished from the surface. We want to get to the ground of it."
Now Jake drew his brows together: "Who is we?"
"None of your concern. Not a threat to you, nor big deal. We're collectors. That's everything you get." Grimm simply answered and Jake knew there's no digging further - not that he had time for that anyways.
"Look you're here to save someone eh? Typical romance of big deal." When Jake answered with a nod, Grimm beamed behind the mask: "We could join forces for the time being! I guess that makes YOU Mario, the hero, and I'm-"
"LUIGI!"
"Toad. I. Am. Toad." Grimm deadpanned "You're going to punch everyone, while I'm just the fast sidekick, for now."
Jake seemed a bit disappointed by that, but shrugged "Fine by me, but can't you use a different mask? Feels more like a Shy Guy talking to me than Toad"
"Is that better, your highness?" Grimm answered in a raspy high-pitched voice - an imitation to Toad, which made Jake burst out laughing.
"Yes, but no, I will never take you serious now!"

Who would win in a fight? - among (some of) the characters played by Park Sunghoon
Tumblr media
Cho Hyun-ju (Squid Game 2) => Ex-special forces who deserves the entire world 🥺
Verdict: She's thoroughly beating all of their asses, honestly, I don't make the rules :) She's for the girls and she will not let these men spew their crap (she'll team up if they're nice tho)
Tumblr media
Jeon Jae-jun (The Glory) => Tiny selfish colourblind misogynistic abusive arrogant insufferable little bastard
Verdict: This pathetic man cannot fight, he just knows how to run his mouth and be a piece of shit - also, don't say to his face that he's colourblind, or he'll whack your kneecaps off
Tumblr media
Yoon Eun-sung (Queen of Tears) => An obsessive sociopath who is also an unstable man wielding a shotgun on his really bad days
Verdict: Will not win the fight but will be dangerous if given a shotgun or rifle, or anything he can use to try and shoot his one-sided love with
Tumblr media
Seo In-woo (Psychopath Diary) => Being gay and committing crime: wet little meow meow who also happens to be a manipulative serial killer with a self-pitying inferiority complex
Verdict: Also dangerous if given a shotgun, fortunately, he is from a romcom and will therefore miss every shot he fires
Tumblr media
Go Jin-cheol (Mad Dog) => Essentially a slimy weasel of a life insurance scammer and murderer for hire
Verdict: Doesn't hold a candle to any of the other mofos in the fight and will lose as soon as the fight starts - if able, he would try to team up with the rich bastards first, because he is a greedy sob
Tumblr media
Eun Jae-won (Not Others) => Station director just trying to do his job, has way too much shit to deal with
Verdict: He shouldn't have to be in this fight at all, because he's already bruised up, but he had to follow the actual criminals - he likely teams up with Hyun-ju, so he wouldn't lose at least
Tumblr media
Park Sang-yoon (The Kidnapping Day) => A detective that I don't think fully follows the rules while investigating, but good for him I guess, it works out in the end 👍
Verdict: Can surely keep up in the fight, he has received training, after all - but he would most likely also team up with the non-criminals
(Ps. I haven't fully seen all of the shows above, but I wanted to introduce some of Park Sunghoon's other roles. I knew him from Psychopath Diary, which is one of my favourite dramas. He is also known for his roles in Into the Ring and My Only One)

DRAMA REVIEW | Light Shop (2024)
Tumblr media
I don’t use the word “masterpiece” easily because it’s no easy to create a film or tv show that’s literally perfect but that’s the only way to describe Disney+ kdrama Light Shop.
Actor turned director Kim Hee Won makes a perfect directorial debut with this very human and heartfelt Korean gothic ghost love story.
Light Shop is a masterfully crafted production, every detail full of significance and important to understand the story as it progresses. No character is unimportant, all playing a key role in the lives of each other; and the performances of each actor nuance. Never giving away too much but managing to connect with the audience at the same time.
The technical aspects, such as cinematography, lighting and special effects, are simply some of the best you will ever find in a Korean drama.
This is the kind of kdrama you want to watch without knowing anything beforehand, but you should know the first four episodes are key for the world building and then, it twist and turns in order to take you on one of the most beautifully made rides.
Perfect.

So, I watched a vid of three Youtubers playing "cards against humanity" and the goal was to amuse the cameraman. Each round the one with the least impact would get shot with a watergun, which is why they brought along goggles.
@mandarinasart and I immediately saw our OCs in these guys and I absolutely HAD to draw them with the goggles. And in the middle of it, I decided that Otsuyu snatched Vin Jins old goggles - but she forgot just HOW deeply tinted they are.
Now Sameko is like: "Is THAT what people mean by 'gaining new perspectives'?"
Also the fucker they have to amuse is my hacker Grimm (Park Eun-Sung) who's a sleep deprived hacker with a questionable humour.

The Frog
Tumblr media
TV Shows/Dramas watched in 2024
The Frog (2024, South Korea)
Director: Mo Wan Il
Writer: Son Ho Young
Mini-review:
Wow, I didn't think I would enjoy The Frog so much. I guess I was in the mood for a dark, propulsive thriller. I've seen some people say it's 'slow', but like... where? This kept me glued to the screen from the very first episode, and it got more and more intense throughout the next ones. It even ventures into psychological horror territory from time to time, which made it even more fun to me. The writing isn't perfect (some of the characters aren't as well developed as they should), but the directing and the acting more than make up for it. Go Min Si turns in a particularly strong performance, and it's clear she gave it her all. I'm not gonna say this is the best thriller k-drama I've seen, but it was definitely enjoyable as hell.

I know I need to calm the fuck down first but one word to describe episode 6: STRESS!!
📍I love seeing Hyun-woo and Hae-in having a...sort of second honeymoon in Germany but I couldn't really enjoy every scene because I'm stressing out at how fucking OBLIVIOUS the Hong family is like bitch y'all are surrounded by snakes and they're so complacent 😭😭😭 I mean it's not really their fault that there are opportunists who'd earn their trust first then slither their way to bite them in the ass, but I just find it ironic at how protective they are at their family business and wealth but they can't see through the REAL people who has every intention to bring them down.
📍Speaking of which, I have read a fan theory somewhere that Mo Seul-hee is the mom of Eun-seong and Da-hye. Could be, OR Grace could be Da-hye's mom considering how Grace acted towards her. But why are they so keen at bringing the Hong family down?
📍Maybe it's just me but I don't think Da-hye is that bad, I have a feeling that she'll eventually come to her senses and take Hyun-woo's side and expose Eun-seong and co.
📍My overthinker/delulu self thinks that Soo-cheol and Da-hye's baby is actually Hyun-woo and Hae-in's kid. I mean, it wasn't shown how they lost their baby...yet. So Hae-in either miscarried, or she gave birth to a still born child? But what if the child is actually alive and one of those evil bitches cooked up some shit to make it seem like Hyun-woo and Hae-in's baby died, and then that baby was registered as Soo-cheol and Da-hye's kid? I know it sounds insane, but we're only on episode 6 so more crazy shit could happen in the future episodes, you'll never know. But my normal self says I've watched too many Filipino dramas growing up (and yes, that shit happens a lot in Filo-dramas).
📍Speaking of that kid, another theory is...what if that kid is actually Eun-seong and Da-hye's? Soo-cheol is a dumbass, and again, those bitches could have manipulated that baby's DNA test result or something. Again, that's just me being an overthinker, also I hate my Filo-drama mindset.
📍Aunt Beom-ja being so concerned about Hae-in and her dad but I also appreciate the fact that she respected her niece's request to not tell anyone about her illness. I also hope that she'll be able to help Hyun-woo clear his name and uncover Seul-hee and gang's dirty little secret.
📍BUT Y'ALL KNOW WHO STRESSED THE SHIT OUT OF ME THIS EPISODE? BAEK FUCKING HYUN-WOO!!! I am so freaking annoyed that he didn't tell Hae-in about the divorce when he had the chance. He was probably worried at how Hae-in would react plus the latter was going through medical treatments so he probably didn't want to put too much stress on her, but Hae-in was bound to find out either way so...yeah I do get why he chose to keep the divorce to himself but he could have just told the truth and suck it up, and perhaps they could communicate better when it comes to issues like this.
📍One thing I noticed about Hyun-woo is that he's brave in so many ways but also a coward on one thing. I mean he talks with Hae-in about nice things and all, and he is his wife's confidante, but I don't think I've ever heard him talk the way Hae-in does, meaning he never had the balls to talk to his wife about the..."unpleasant" side of their marriage. Hae-in was able to talk to him about her illness, the last will and testament that her mom pressured her to write, and Hyun-woo didn't even think about bringing up the divorce papers.
Prior to episode 5, I really thought that Hae-in was the one who shut him out but it was actually the other way around. Wifey may seem cold and nonchalant but if there's one person she'd listen to, it's him. Perhaps he doesn't want to say something that would upset Hae-in but the point is...she's his wife, she's supposed to know what he thinks, how he feels about certain things, even the not-so-pleasant side of their relationship. I really hope that in the next episode or the episode after that he'll be able to communicate better.
📍Hae-in's mom is terrible af. Imagine blaming your own daughter for the death of your son. I mean she didn't deserve to lose a child, but it's unfair to put all the blame on Hae-in (like why?). It's not like she endangered herself on purpose, and she had the audacity to be upset when Hae-in did something nice to her in-laws? Like what is wrong with this woman? Why can't see realize her own mistakes?
📍I kind of teared up when Hae-in was telling Hyun-woo about the things the latter should do when she dies. She could die, and this show might give us a bittersweet ending but when that time comes I'd be really, really hurt. Also, Hae-in confessing that the only reason she wrote her will about Hyun-woo not getting anything should they divorce was so that she'll be allowed to marry him 😭 (just shows she fought hard for him and she'll do absolutely anything to be with him). God I hate her mom! And yes the epilogue was so cute, now we know that they have always been in-love with each other. But I guess...they need a time-out 🤷.
📍Hae-in called Hyun-woo "yeobo" 🥹🥹🥹
