So…how does Overlord resemble Rung? Because the only thing similar between the two is their ability to psychoanalyze people. What features/habits/quirks do they share?
What are your head cannons for the two?
While they don't really look anything alike, the resemblance can be seen in their body language! They both clasp their hands when they try to appear non-threatening, they tilt their head to the right when confused and tilt it to the left when in deep thought.
They also share a like for sweets and dislike bitter/sour things, both like to collect things and neither of them can stand Froid!
Also, when Rung is not wearing his glasses, it is actually quite startling how similar his gaze is to Overlord's. They have the exact same optic shape, the one thing that Overlord actually inherited from his Creator appearance wise.

"The humming of a little boy with a light inside him" and his mother the Everlight is the one who gave it to him. Like the war constructs taught to fight, who cannot change, neither can a child who has learned to help. His mother embodied an example of kindness in her mortal life, but then asks him to run when she returns to her godly mission. Of course he didn't want to leave. This is who he is. 😭

Do you think that Marinette ever looks into her partners eyes, and is sure that, for a second, the green flashed into a soulless blue, and her stomach turns?
Do you think that Adrien ever flinches when someone close to him yells, terrified that they'll become a villain that he'll be forced to fight, a force he'll be required to destroy?
Do you think that Marinette ever looks over her shoulder in public compulsively, afraid and paranoid that she's being observed by an enemy priming itself for attack?
Do you think that Adrien wakes up from a nightmare and sheds a tear for the children he had for too short and lost too soon?
Do you think that Marinette ever catches herself paying attention to, and involving herself in, the issues and lives of complete strangers, that she feels it is her responsibility to keep feeling good
Do you think that Adrien ever feels a physical weight on his hand from all the destruction he has caused? and actual feeling of his hand getting heavier from the burden of disaster?
Do you think that the heroes of Paris ever feel a bit of guilt or a bit of worry any time they feel an emotion too strongly? That they are incapable and unworthy of feelings that could cause the decimation of their city?

"If Dean is like Mary, then why does Mary have goals similar to Sam?"
Because you're like both your parents. Duh. But also...
Mary wants to be safe, but one critical difference between her and Dean is that she feels like getting out is possible. Dean doesn't.
She can't stand the hunting life, because she recognizes the incredible losses that happen in and around her family because of it. She wants safety and security.
Even though their vocation is horrific and inherently unstable, her parents are present, have routines, and even have family dinners together. From what we can see, Mary's home life is more stable than Dean's. (Plus, Samuel Campbell was part of a network and a pro; John was isolated and in over his head.)
Dean and Deanna could at first glance seem controlling, but John Winchester was an incredibly brutal and unpredictable parent. (And for Sam, Dean, even as a child, made up for some deficits in John's parenting.) So, although Mary and Dean are similar in terms of their base personalities, their foundations for expressing their needs are not.
Mary, like Sam, feels secure enough to express her desires. Dean isn't secure enough to even get to want them.

Can confirm, my house is still standing. Didn’t lose everything, didn’t lose anything, I’ll go home today.
I did learn what my priorities are though because I started trying to unplug my PlayStation and had to be like “Can we prioritize please?!” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

one thing i heard consistently after watching fmab is that the flashback sequences of the Ishval Extermination were heavily cut, almost censored compared to the manga. well i read volume 15/chapters 58-61 and well…
Damn
everyone was right holy shit what a volume. i don’t consume a ton of war story media, but that was probably the best and most realistic depiction of it in fiction.

@beatingheart-bride
Randall's breath hitched at the touch of her Cupid's-bow lips against his bony hands, to say nothing of his heart fluttering at the notion that his presence made his bride's life, topsy-turvy though it was now, a little easier. It was all he could hope for; that after everything she'd been through (then and now), he could be a light for her, just as she'd been one for him.
Wanting to lighten the mood, to move away from this topic (even though she'd reassured him that she wasn't upset, he still didn't want to press it), he instead chose to ask her, "Tell me, darling, tell me about some of your happier memories from...the future. You've told me about all the parties Dorian threw, but what did we do together?"
Although the idea of living in an attic, the very place their lives came to an end, sounded a bit morbid to him (though, perhaps, ghosts had a different perspective on that sort of thing?), he loved what Emily had told him so far, how cozy they made their little home together, turning it from a mere storeroom to a place all their own, adding their own personal touches to it. It was an unusual place to call home, sure, but it was theirs, and all she'd told him about it, it sounded really quite lovely-it sounded like they made some wonderful memories there.

🚨🚨 Urgent!
This is Dima Nabahin, l'am 25 years old. I have no brothers nor sisters. I was living alone in gaza after I lost my father when he was injured in 2014 war on gaza. I was living with my mother till 2019, when she passed away, so from that time I am living alone in gaza.
I started to overcome what happened in the past, but my life completely destroyed since 7th of October
2023. I faced unimaginable challenges due to the ongoing war in the Gaza. unfortunately I lost My home that I was living in in northern Gaza, and also My parents home that I was living in with them in my childhood until they passed away. I was displaced from day one of this genocide. My life now is miserable.
Unfortunately, this plight is shared by many other Palestinian families living in the same area, but in my case l have no one that can help me, Throughout the months of relentless genocide, I suffered from constant fear and repeated, exhausting displacement that you cannot imagine without having experienced it.
Every donation will help me to survive.

Do you ever think about how Halsin's entire arc was always leading up to him adopting all those children?
One of the first things we learn about Halsin is that he took in the Tiefling refugees- many of whom were children.
The first thing he does when he returns to the Grove is scold Kagha for trying to cast them out, and for holding the Idol of Silvanus on equal weight to a child's life- and if Arabella dies, he is so livid he tells Kagha she should have died to her face, speaking with such anguish at what happened.
Then we learn that his first friend was a timeless child nature spirit, who Halsin feels protective and paternal of, and this extends to the Shadow-Cursed version of him. He speaks to Oliver with kindness and gentleness, never patronizing, but always full of empathy.
When you get to know Halsin as Wyll, you can say you've always wanted a child, and Halsin will agree and all but say he wants one too.
Then he gets to act 3 and spends the entire act furious at how those in the city, especially children, are treated. He wants Yenna in their camp not only to keep her safe, but because "our little abode could use a child's laughter." He gets distraught over the plight of many children in the city, and if Yenna is killed by Orin, he's crushed- but also vows to fight so there will be no more Yennas. In fact, he is so upset about this that he is the only character the player has a special dialogue for to check in on him after Yenna dies. This option doesn't exist for, say, Karlach, Jaheira, and Wyll, despite them being kind characters with a soft spot for children too. Halsin's care goes even deeper than theirs.
He also sadly says how unlike Jaheira, his Archdruidic duties prevented him from being able to have a child of his own.
Literally Halsin's entire arc foreshadowed that he wanted to be a father more than anything, and that he wanted to help the defenseless- nature itself, animals, refugees, children. He got to do all of that at once with the commune and all the children there.
When talking to a romanced player after the final battle but before the epilogue, which is implied to be the very next day- but if not, certainly not more than a few days after- he says the children call him Daddy Halsin. It took less than a week for him to meet a group of terrified, traumatized children and gain their trust and affection so thoroughly that they already considered him a parental figure.
It just says so much about exactly what kind of person Halsin is.
