I haven’t even shared any opinions recently. I literally just write about Kate and Anthony being dumb. I just stay in my little lane

I get it.

I am an example of someone who stayed in a job too long. I should have left years ago. But I was scared, and I’m anxious about resigning on Monday and the reaction that’s going to have.

This has actually been pretty good for my confidence because I feel like part of the reason I stayed is that I was scared of not being able to find another job and I was scared of being disappointed. I wrote one email. And I got a job offer.

Turns out they actually need me much more than I need them.

I clean forgot that I chose them. I graduated uni with five job offers. I never needed them and you don’t either mate.

I told my close friends at work because I didn’t want them to find out from someone else and they’re coming round tomorrow so I can help them spruce up their resumes because we’re not accepting less than we deserve anymore 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I just remembered something very hilarious. The 7 year anniversary of me working at my workplace is on the 8th of January… which is during my notice period.

I hope they get an ice cream cake this year 😂

I think it’s time. Anthony can ask Kate out. Neddy called him daddy and he’s spending time alone with him.

Everything is going great, Anthony and Kate deserve the win.

Just wait until Kate comes home to find him and Neddy asleep on the sofa.

Two adorable little sleepy frowns tucked up together on the sofa. That’s when Kate knows she’s falling a little bit in love with Anthony.

And would that really be the worst thing? He’s hot and he’s a good Dad, not just the Dad kids love because they get away with anything. Anthony’s actually a good Dad. Anthony’s never not worn a cap when they’ve been outside since that day and he gives Neddy the money to pay for his juice and holds him up to the register gently saying

“Please and thank you, Neddy.”

Before Neddy nods, “Orange Juice, please and thank you.”

His first offer for Child support had Kate’s jaw on the floor while he blinked at her from across the table, his lawyer sat beside him.

“Is it too low? I’m sorry, I don’t know what Sophie’s salary is so I estimated what I think fair salary would be based on her degree and-“

“okay, I don’t pay her that much!” Kate squeaked

Anthony blinked mildly, “Oh, we should give her a pay rise. I’ve done a hit of research on the Nanny market and I really think she’s huge get for us.”

“I know that!”

Anthony seems like he’s in a way better place than he was when they met and he’s sweet and thoughtful. Would it be the worst thing if she liked him? Really?

It’s technically just three month contract but will likely get extended with permanent roles coming up! So it’s a foot in the door of where I want to be.

My original boss who sold the practice back in June wrote me a really touching reference and my new bosses… well. I wish them the best with the new direction they want to go in. Let’s… just leave it there before I say anything else.

8 weeks is not standard. It’s stated in my contract because it’s dependent on length of service unfortunately.

SO happy that you got a new job bc girl—there have been SEVERAL times where I’ve read your work related posts and thought to myself *um she seems utterly miserable… I don’t think she likes her job—like at all*

Yeah I haven’t been happy at my work for a long time so I think this is going to be a good change for me. Basically if my referees are good (They will be) and I haven’t committed any crimes and forgotten about them (I’ll be working for the government) I’ll be starting in late feb.

I’m just waiting for a more official confirmation before I resign because I’m nervous.

The chapter is about halfway done but I had sort of an impromptu interview today off an email I sent and I got hired and I’m trying to get all this paperwork in so I can resign ASAP as I have to give eight weeks notice!

I’m just finishing things off for that and then I’ll be right back to writing!
