I just know that Kate feels a bit of pressure for Anthony’s first birthday after they get together. She is a little bit stressed. Because Anthony’s sweet, and he’s cute and he waited for her to realise she was looking for him.

Anthony is such a good partner and Kate wants the time he spent waiting for her to be worth it.

“I just want us to spend the day together.” Anthony shrugged when she asked him what he wanted to do.

Kate rolled her eyes, “Well you always get that. What’s something special?”

Anthony rolled his eyes, “And that feels special. Always feels special the two of us.”

Kate growled. “God, you’re so annoying sometimes!”

She spends hours at the animal shelter, already having gotten Mary’s approval to house a kitten at her mum’s house for a few days.

“Would you be able to look after Ant’s birthday present for a few days?”

Mary’s eyes narrowed, “He’s not one of those white men that wants a pet lizard is he?”

“He is not, thankfully.” Kate sighed, “I’m bringing cat daddy Anthony into our lives.”

She spends hours there, staring at each kitten, one by one, trying to imagine them with Anthony’s personality, and had no idea. Then she turned to the last cage, the tiny grey kitten staring boldly back at her. He pawed at the cage and then slunk back, timid suddenly.

“Excuse me, what’s about this one?”

“Oh, he’s a cocky little boy.” The volunteer chuckled. “But he’s such a sweetie when he knows you. He loves a cuddle. Someone found him in a bin, no mum around.”

“Is he scared of dogs?”

“Hasn’t been so far.”

“This is the one.” Kate said firmly, so sure as she stared into the little blue eyes. “Who do I talk to about adopting him?”

Templeton Theodore Bridgerton is a sweetie, as it turns out. Proudly dressed in a little sweater by Anthony, sat on his lap, purring softly.

“He’s… I really love him, Kate.” Anthony said gently, scratching his ears gently.

“I remember you said you wanted a cat, and I didn’t want you to think you couldn’t because I have Newton.”

“My first son.” Anthony grinned, primly straightening the little bow tie on the kitten’s collar. “How does being a dad look on me?”

“Annoyingly cute, actually.”

“Perfect.”

lol poor Josie. She finds a girl she likes but her family is not only one of those sports families, but also has a player in the family? Edwina better be thankful because that is a lot to handle, especially from a non-sports person.

And that’s the thing. I think Frankie wanting to play professional sports was a real surprise for their family. They’re not a sports family. Josie just doesn’t really… get why it would be a big deal. She doesn’t think it is a big deal. It’s just a jersey.

“Please don’t say that in front of my Dad.”

“Eddie, Babe, I’m great with parents. They love me.”

Edwina winced. “We just… we won’t talk about baseball and it’ll be fine.”

“I can talk baseball. Frankie’s my twin brother, I know about all the little… stats.”

“Last year my Dad nearly cried because the hit in his box of baseball cards was Frankie not a cub.”

“Does he still have it?”

“You will not ask him!” Edwina squeaked , “I will sneak it out of the house for you later!”

“God, you aren’t like this during football season are you? Because I don’t think I could handle this.”

“What’s football?”

“Funny.” Josie sighed, “You’re funny.”

Can you imagine Anthony and Frankie meeting each other at a family event during the baseball season? I can see it being awkward as anything, but then Frankie starts to like Anthony and he becomes conflicted.

It’s really hard for Frankie. Because he would love to keep thinking Anthony as the absolute fucking menace he is on the field. He loves playing the villain when he comes to Busch Stadium. The guy puts his hand up to his ear while the crowd boos for him then grins when he crushes a ball on the first pitch.

Worse he’s the guy who steals second base then wiggles his finger at Frankie who wasn’t fast enough with the pop to catch him.

He’s a fucking asshat on the field. And it would have been way better for Frankie’s sanity if he got to keep thinking of him that way.

But now he knows the Anthony he met at his sister’s birthday party.

Frankie was working himself up for it for three days. More than aware that tomorrow he’d have to face Anthony at Wrigley Field. And Anthony Bridgerton at Wrigley is even worse than at Busch.

“Frankie.” Anthony nodded when it came time for them to be forced to interact, sat around the table at the restaurant.

“Anthony.”

Bridgerton’s got his arm around his wife, who’s talking with her sister. And awkward silence settles between them.

“You’re having a good season.”

Frankie lifted his eyebrows, “Thank you?”

Anthony smiled at him, then kissed his wife’s cheek. “I’m going to the bar, babe.”

That’s the thing about this Anthony. He’s a family man. He’s polite, clearly in his best behavior and Frankie can’t help but admire the way it seems like no one else exists to Anthony Bridgerton. His wife is clearly the most important thing to him. This is a guy he likes. This is a guy he respects. Maybe Anthony’s mellowed.

And then 24 hours later there he is skipping over to home plate to bloody Teenage Dream and Frankie’s blood is boiling again.

“Anthony.”

“Frankie. Lovely dinner last night.”

“Fuck off, Anthony.”

“Hmm, No.” Anthony swung on a ball, hit cleanly into the outfield.

Most people would have sprinted towards first base but not Anthony. Anthony high-fived Frankie’s glove waved to Josie in the stands and then took off, somehow still reaching second.

Ok i know its not that serious but i support twin Colin and daphne cuz lets be honest Colin has never given big brother energy to like… anyone but especially daphne i keep forgetting daphne isnt older than him

I forget all the time that Colin is older than Daphne. I think because her story happens so early it feels like she’s older than the Bridgerton Brothers sometimes.

But honestly the opportunity for Kate to be the same age as Daphne after Anthony’s been calling Simon a cradle snatcher was far too good to pass up.

Kate is actually 17 Days older than Daphne and Anthony loves bringing that up. He does not acknowledge that he’s older than Simon in any way.

Anthony when he finds out that Sophie knew about his fake-dating arrangement with Kate: I feel bamboozled that we had to keep up appearances, but at the same time I am chuffed that I got to spend extra time with Kate. The more opportunities to be with her, hold her hand, kiss her cheek, the merrier. 🥰

Anthony gasping, “You used me!”

“I…” Kate paused as she stood at the bathroom sink, putting product in her hair. “I mean… I don’t like how mean spirited that sounds.”

“No, not the whole asking me to pretend to be your boyfriend thing. I mean you used me for my body.” Anthony stood shirtless in the bathroom, his hands on his hips.

“I-“ Kate pouted, “I wouldn’t put it like that.”

Anthony’s gasp turned to one of delight, “Oh you liked kissing me!”

Kate rolled her eyes, “You’re my actual boyfriend. Of course I like kissing you.”

“So you admit it! Using me for my body!”

“I… I’m not sure you realise how cute you are.”

Anthony smiled smugly, leaning in to kiss her quickly. “But I do now. And you might regret telling me.”

I know that Sophie is watching Anthony pick Kate up, three weeks later with an absolute side eye.

Because wow. Seems like Kate still hasn’t had time to tell Anthony that he doesn’t need to act around her. And Wow, they’re going out to a lunch of their own. No one else around. Would you look at that.

“You know, this is going to be such a plot twist.”

“You know, when you and Anthony get married and have a couple of very adorable children and then you come clean about it never being real.”

Imagine Josie thinking Frankie will see it as a fun anecdote that she hooked up with a baseball player’s sister in law. And he does not. He does not find it funny. At first he did. But not when he found out who it was.

“Ah, he was a Cub. Anthony something.” Josie shrugged, “His sister in law was really fucking hot. Fair play to him.”

Frankie’s face fell. “No. You fucking didn’t.”

I know the last thing to care about in bridgerton is logical times lines but thinking of how Daph and Kate are the same age in save my life makes me sympathize with Violet who must've been pregnant every fucking year till they got to her 😭 like Edmund RELAX
