BREAKING!!!
Students at Goldsmiths University of London have restarted their protests in the face of footage that surfaced from Rafah and in response to Frances Corner showing little sign of taking student demands seriously and even less intent to hold up to her divestment agreements, which were made at the beginning of May 2024.
Protests at the uni have been covered by Al Jazeera and The Socialist Worker. Updates can be found on their Instagram @goldsmithsforpalestine. A vote of no confidence has been kick-started by the Student Union and will commence on June 7th 2024.
In meetings leading up to this vote, there has been a stark lack of support of any kind or any intent to vote against the no-confidence proposal. Students unanimously stand against the Warden.

I don’t know what to say anymore. I have become invisible again, donations have stopped even though we still need help. What can I say ? I have explained all of our struggles and it’s not enough. Please, my friends, we still need you. There are still no other ways to get money, no other ways to feed my family. Our landlord will evict us soon. We won’t find another place to stay because rent will go up like crazy in all of Gaza since almost everything is destroyed. We will have to buy a tent, we will have to insulate it, if there’s any heavy rain we will lose all of our stuff… Please don’t abandon us. If we could do this on our own, we would.
We still need to buy food, there are still so many types of medicine that we need… I don’t know how we will manage if people think that our lives are back to normal. It won’t be the case for years.

Good day, I am here again as @samiealkhliliye had reached out to me to draw for his campaign once more, which by the time of writing this post is only at €3,071/€30K of their goal. In which I thank everyone who has donated so far greatly for helping them during this time of need.
His campaign has been vetted in GazaVetter's spreadsheet (#21). Please share and donate if you are able, as well as pray for him and his family's survival. Thank you.

Laila @laylaayman-blog2 needs our help to support her family! Her campaign has been going very slowly, and it's crucial for her to be able to take care of her daughter Sally and her second child who is soon to be born. But her campaign has unfortunately been moving very slowly.
Please donate and share widely! Vetted by @bilal-salah0 and by association with @akramaldwaik-18.

Help Mohiy's family evacuate
Tumblr media
Account: @mohiygaza21
Vetted by 90-ghost and by association
Many families in Gaza may finally have the opportunity to evacuate should this ceasefire agreement follow through. Mohiy and his family of 5 are hoping to be able to evacuate once the boarders reopen, but most of their funds have been spent on supplies they needed to survive.
Please help Mohiy and his family prepare for their evacuation by supporting them through the link above and sharing with others. Thank you

Aid increase in ceasefire deal ‘is admission Israel could have done more’, experts say
A provision to increase the aid entering Gaza under the ceasefire is welcome but insufficient, and shows Israel could have allowed more food, medicine and other supplies into the strip during the war, humanitarian and legal experts said.
The challenges would be magnified under an Israeli law that is due to come into force in less than 2 weeks that targets Unrwa, which has been the backbone of aid logistics in Gaza for decades.

“Across the town students were fast asleep. Next to them, tomes by Plato and Locke and Montesquieu waited to be read, discussed, gesticulated about; theoretical rights like freedom and liberty would be debated between those who already enjoyed them, stale concepts that, upon their readers’ graduation ceremonies, would promptly be forgotten. That life, and all of its preoccupations, seemed insane to him now; he could not believe there was ever a time when his greatest concerns were what colour neckties to order from Randall’s, or what insults to shout at houseboats hogging the river during rowing practice. It was all such frippery, fluff, trivial distractions built over a foundation of ongoing, unimaginable cruelty”
"Babel" R.F. Kuang - ch.22 pg.434
This is generally applicable to the universal experience of putting things into a better perspective from the pov of a student. How living through horrors or simply witnessing them miles and miles away can be enough to shake an anger to your core and wash your eyes so that they now see differently than they did yesterday. "How strange! How could that have really seemed like the end of the world to me! I had no idea! I really had no idea what was to come!" Though I will admit unis in London have been so very incredibly good at advocating for Palestine, UCL, Kings, Golds, QMUL, all of you! I love you!

I fear what's to come. I'm anxiously waiting for the day we have to leave. What will we do then? I don't want to live in a tent forever. It took so many years to rebuild our home least time it was destroyed, and back then only our neighborhood had been hit. Everything is destroyed. Will I be killed by a bomb or die of old age in a tent?
Aid is coming in, but the prices aren't getting any lower. I want to save money to rebuild our house but I can't. I don't know what to do. I still need your help, please.

I got to visit an elementary school today. It was the first time in a very long time I've ever been around that many children. They got to witness theatre specifically targeted at kids, theatre that they wrote, brought to life before their very eyes. It was beautiful to see young people getting invested in creativity and the arts.
And in spite of the joyous occasion, there was a part of me that could only feel immense grief. Grief at the number of children who would never get to experience something like this. Grief for the children who had lost their lives. Grief for the children who had no lives to return to. Grief for the children who knew the sounds of bombs better than the sounds of a school bell.
I'm just one poor boy with a heart on their sleeve and a foolhardy dream that children should be allowed to live without fear for the safety of themselves, their families, or those they care about. It may not seem like I can do a lot, but I can share my seemingly naive platitudes about the value of human life.
Children in Gaza deserve to live. They deserve to love. They deserve a life free of fear for their safety. Palestinian children are human beings with potentially bright futures ahead of them. They could be capable of so many great things. They could be brimming with creativity, passion, love, empathy. These children are no lesser than any other child just because they do not belong to a Western super power. They should not be a statistic of casualties. They are real breathing loving kind human beings who deserve just as much life as any child living anywhere else.
There cannot be peace for us until there is peace for them. Keep disrupting, keep protesting, keep boycotting, and keep the memory of the families of people who deserve to live just as much as you and your loved ones close to your heart.
Do not allow yourself to call this anything else but a genocide. Do not allow yourself to become complicit in genocide.
