Every mainline Pokemom! They deserve some love, and I wanted to try drawing more than just my fave, Johanna. I also gave them all names! I think they deserve to have some names, even if it's just a first name. But I also put in way too much thought for the last names, so you get those too, lol. Explanations for the names are below the cut!

I still think it's funny that Johanna and Grace are the only ones with canon names, and Caroline apparently only has her's in the anime.

Follow up to yesterday's post, completing the scene.

Penny and Arven bump into Mrs. Koito, and (after Penny's brain reboots) the encounter has the two of them reflecting on the skeletons in Scarlet's closet.

Regardless, the clerk before them chuckled, and Penny's chest fluttered as the middle-aged lady's grace beamed warmly at them both. “Steady as the Slowking goes,” she said. “It seems you've at least started looking at those lessons I sent you.” “I did, Ma'am, yeah,” Arven replied warmly. “Thanks! I'll keep at it.” “Great! And-...” Those elegant blood-red eyes, knowing Penny hovered at their periphery, at last locked onto her, and Penny felt a shiver climb up her spine – in a good way. “-... hello to you, as well, Penny!” “H-Hello, hi, yeah, hi, konnichiwa, Mrs. Koito-san,” Penny stammered out. UGHHH she'd said 'Mrs.' and '-san,' and 'konnichiwa', total sod behavior!!! She had not been mentally prepared to face the 'milf' that was Scarlet's mum on this afternoon, even though she should've seen it coming. The woman did work there at Mesagoza Market, after all... Penny was just used to shopping at night when the lady was off shift, typically.

What's the funniest Pokemon urban legend you've ever heard?

hm...a lot of the urban legends out here are more scary than funny. yknow, stuff like paradox pokemon coming out of tera dens or what happens if you touch one of the weird stakes scattered throughout paldea. i guess we do have the legend of the ladrón de pan, a man with a ghostly fidough who visits houses where people have left out their bread. if the bread is good, he steals it, but if it's bad, he has his fidough breathe mold onto it...i remember my mom telling me about it when i was little, but i think that was just so i wouldn't leave the bread out.

they're not specifically pokemon related but i've heard some weird stuff at naranja-uva academy, though. like the rumor that there are pokeballs hidden in the floor of every single doorway in the academy? not with like. pokemon in them. just pokeballs. i think the one of the strangest is the fact that some people insist there's a student named clive with a weird haircut who never takes any classes. there are rumors he's involved with team star in some way (i've heard people say that he's a spy??). somebody showed me a pic of him once though and i'm pretty sure it's just director clavell with a wig photoshopped onto him...

Soooo question for Penny. How likely is it that a Sylveon would ask to be your Pokémon in exchange for getting you food? I just got home from a VERY weird trip and am flying out to Catlanna for the rest of spring break.

Uhhh. As in... an already-evolved Sylveon? Sounds kinda weird, ngl. Most Sylveon are practically bonded to somebody else for life once they evolve.

But hey, maybe the poor thing's desperate... know I don't need to say it, but treat them well, ok? Maybe it lost its special buddy or something.

If you want the lore on this reader. They are a singer whose family was said to be the descendants of a siren.

This reader has never caught a pokemon with a pokeball. The pokemon that join reader just travel with them. This reader uses sign language or writing to communicate as their voice is dangerous as it can charm anyone ho hears it if they aren't related to reader from their dad's side.

Reader went to this school was near to her mom's childhood home.

Meloetta and Primarinna (who ia an alpha pokemon) were able snap people out of Reader's voice and joined reader so they don't hurt anyone with their voice.

Toxtricity is protects reader from being kidnapped and overprotective and is resistant to their voice because punk rock.

Hoopa follows reader as reader is interesting.

Scream tail was a pokemon her grandma asked to protect reader.

As a dancer, you've made quite a name for yourself in the Paldea region--almost rivalling celebrities like Ryme and Iono.

People everywhere find your performances stellar, especially when your Pokémon provided backup dancing and singing.

A year prior to the Treasure Hunt, you did a show for the Festival of Masks in Kitakami, telling a moving story about the "Loyal Three" and Ogerpon.

Ofc you regretted it after learning that was a false narrative.

Speaking of your team, it was quite peculiar...consisting of an Alpha 'mon with menacing red eyes, two mythicals, an Ancient Paradox 'mon that somehow got out of the crater, and a perfectly normal Toxtricity and Oricorio.

However, you don't speak much, preferring sign language and/or writing as ways of communication..and your friends wondered why...

Although after becoming close with Arven, Penny, and Nemona (and eventually Carmine and Kieran), you wrote them all messages detailing your past.

You're a descendant of sirens, appearing entirely human yet having the alluring voice of one.

You basically know Hypnosis..but it wasn't something you were proud of, because you've charmed people into following your voice, and...it almost always ended badly.

Unfortunately, that made you a prime target in several kidnappings from evil organizations in other regions.

They falsely believed your family could somehow learn Pokémon moves and became obsessed with harnessing that same power..even though it had nothing to do with Pokémon at all.

Since moving to Paldea, it's become your safe haven, especially since your mom's childhood home was here and you could retreat to it whenever you wished.

After your grandma gave you Scream Tail to accompany you during your many journeys, the rest of your team sorta formed itself.

You never believed in using pokeballs, and thus they followed you wherever you went (ofc as long as it was allowed).

Oricorio was always perched on your shoulder to scout out high places and be your number 1 cheerleader (in the case of the pom-pom variant).

Amped!Toxtricity became your bodyguard and a friend you could rely on after learning its Punk Rock ability made it quite resistant to your voice. So you'd make small talk with it, although you still don't say too much.

It's ready to throw hands wherever and whenever you're being bothered--by students, staff, and tourists alike.

Alpha!Primarinna was a lass you discovered at the Wistful Fields one summer day, having come a long way from Hisui (like Bloodmoon Ursaluna).

Normally Alphas are belligerent, but she felt a sudden connection to you and obeyed you right on the spot. A giant and loyal protector.

Hoopa travelled through space and time to meet you, finding you quite interesting...and grinned deviously after you managed to win its prison bottle at an auction.

It almost caused chaos at the mart, tricking you into opening it, but even you were able to tame its Unbound form and convince it to become Confined again.

Finally, Meloetta was lured to one of your performances and provided beautiful backup vocals, and ever since then you two have done many duos as dancer/singer.

Her and Primarinna are the only ones who can snap people out of your spells. They know you hate to hurt others but sometimes humans just push your buttons and...well...next thing you know, the two ladies are scrambling to save them from walking through hostile territory to greet you.

Fortunately, those events happen rarely now and you've been able to form meaningful friendships.

Since nobody in your team is stuck in a pokeball, they usually hang out at your mom's childhood home or in your dorm--but Toxtricity and Oricorio insist on being with you in-class.

As far as everyone's reactions go...

Nemona is PSYCHED to see you have a team specifically themed around music and song (except for Hoopa, although it knows Throat Chop yet seldom uses it), always wanting to battle them.

Also converses with you in sign language. I hc she learned it so she could communicate with deaf/HOH trainers so they can battle with her, too, free of judgement.

Penny is both impressed and terrified tbh--especially with the Alpha who has looks that could kill if it weren't for your unique connection with the giant water/fairy. But her Sylveon gets along with Primarinna surprisingly well.

Arven almost didn't believe you were a descendant of sirens until he witnessed you hypnotize a substitute who thought you weren't answering their question..nearly falling into the trance himself until Meloetta showed up.

He's never doubted your power since.

Carmine did tease you in the beginning for being even quieter than her little brother, but felt guilty after reading your letter...wanting to learn sign language herself to own up to her mistakes.

Kieran saw your performance at the festival and couldn't believe you returned to Kitakami as a student, wanting to challenge him to a battle.

You? A celebrity? Against him????

But after the ordeal with Ogerpon, he felt betrayed by his two biggest idols...and so your letter went unread, although it remained in his bag and he finally looked at it post-Indigo Disk.

He showed up to your dorm at BB Academy that same day, a bagful of candy apples and berries as another apology.

Least to say, your team adored the treats.

Even Toxtricity--who genuinely thought he was being an annoying brat this entire time--finally softened up around him.

Randy shivered against a sharp, cold breeze. He propped up his turtleneck.

Ready to go inside? Mr. Fuji's brow raised in questioning.

Randy nodded. Yeah.

The two men had been taking pleasant walk and chatting, Randy getting to know some of the residents of Mr. Fuji's care. He found the Alolan Rattata particularly fascinating--It was the first time he could really stop and notice how different a Dark type felt from other types. It was a bizarre effect. Almost like there was a mist of... nothingness, keeping him from feeling it's mind.

But now the wind was starting to pick up, and his sweater wasn't quite pulling its weight. He was beginning to find himself missing the relative warmth of Paldea.

As they approached Mr. Fuji's house, a small tune suddenly began playing, causing Fuji to turn, startled, toward Randy. After a moment, Randy realized what it was and pulled his phone from his pocket.

...I need to take this.

He sighed, and answered the call. Now by himself outside, he gave a nervous smile to the recipient who couldn't see him. Hey.

The voice on the other end was as warm, loving, and soothing as ever, but still filled Randy with the dread of knowing what was coming.

Hey. I got your message. Is now a good time?

The man's eyebrows lowered anxiously. Straight to the point, huh, Mom...

You said it was important.

Yeah.... I did...

I'm just... Not too excited to say it...

Viviana's voice took on a new alertness. What? Are you okay??

Randy fidgeted with his unoccupied hand, winding some hair around his fingers. I'm fine now...

He sighed again.

He heard a sharp draw of breath over the phone.

He knew this wasn't something his mother would like to hear, but she had to know.

Akoya managed to resuscitate me, and I got the help I needed... I'm doing well now.

He listened for a response. But she said nothing.

Her voice broke, and she sounded as if a trance had been broken.

Randy tugged at the neck of his sweater. Yeah.... I understand...

They both went quiet.

Her voice was filled with emotion.

Akito’s pokemon team

Now it’s his turn. In Akito’s case, he rarely ever captures pokemons, since his mind is on pokemon contests, he rather “recruit” pokemons who have talent and are also interested in show business. Even Yuki, his first pokemon, began this way: when he was a kid, he once encountered her, still as a snorunt, more focused into singing and dancing rather than picking up fights; he didn’t even have to fight her, he just asked her politely if she would join him.

And just like that, he eventually got his full contest team.

Just like with Nagiza’s, there’s a little intro for each of his team members after the jump.

•Nezumi the crobat: This crobat is the group’s choreographer. He usually watches over every practice from the air and gives instructions to everyone on how to move. Akito found him when he was still a zubat; and from the first sight, he realize Nezumi was one of the best air acrobats he had ever met. His ultrasonic waves help him feel the movements precisely, and map the best movements for everyone.

•Chu the Mimikyu: The tailor of the group. Chu is an expert when it comes to fashion; has a really good sense for colors and fabrics and, the best thing, she can sew so fast Akito pretty much uses her as a portable sewing machine. She has attachment issues.

•Mirage the meowstic: The group stylish. This female meowstic uses her psychic powers and her third (and fourth) eyes to pick and create the best style for everyone. This includes hair, makeup, hair/fur color, and yes, she’s the one at fault for Akito’s current hairstyle; before he had a bowl cut.

Akito has her since she was an espurr and, spoiler alert, she has some fault in Ivy evolving into a Leafeon instead of a Sylveon uwù

•Kokoro the drifloon: The group storyteller. Similar to how Nagiza received a shiny Dragonite from her dad, Akito received this Drifloon with a rare mark from his mom. This gift came after Akito was already traveling with Nagiza for a while, due to some concerns his mom had with giving him a drifloon, which were relieved after seeing how much of a good friend Nagiza was with her son. Nagiza also began to try to speak with this drifloon immediately, and in doing so, she realized this guy had a lot of imagination for telling scary stories.. (yeah… imagination.. let’s say that’s the case heheh💦); which was perfect for Akito’s team, which already had a kind of creepy and mysterious aesthetic. Kokoro makes stories that everyone turns into presentations together.

•Midori the Springatito: The last and youngest member of the team. Akito caught him during that time he and Nagiza went into Paldea, when she dared him to catch the first thing they saw moving with a quickball. Akito was reluctant of keeping the springatito at first, since he didn’t really quite fit into his aesthetic, unless he ever wants to evolve into a meowscarada; but the little kitten quickly won his place on the team. As it turns out, he became great at acting and dancing, and the stories they performed about the innocent kitten being cursed or chased by the evil ice queen quickly captivated the public. Needless to say, this little guy came to stay.

Spoiler Warning again: Unsure if you finished the game now. I’m going to ask the question you didn’t answer (or at least didn’t see the question)

What if Sada was basically the biggest fangirl over the streamer in Hisui. Then went back in time and joined the streamer.

Ever since her dream of creating a paradise, she’s always been hyperfixated on the stream. By seeing the regional Pokémon, and how beautiful Hisui is. She thinks the world would be a better place if the Hisuian Pokémon were around.

The stream always on, or in the background 24/7. She’s one of the major scientists who is ALWAYS on the stream no matter the hour.

Hell, she even made her robot clone keep track of what’s happening when she’s not monitoring it.

Anyways, she is trying to hook up the Time Machine to start extracting Hisuian Pokémon into Paldea, and accidentally sends herself to the Hisui region.

So imagine Arven not having seen his real Mom in months, only because she was in Hisui living a scientists dream. He already has beef with the stream since his mother payed attention to it more than him.

At least she’s alive, and can talk to Arven. But usually she doesn’t respond to the chats Arven sends. It takes multiple donations to have Sada respond to it, because she’s just so fixated on this paradise and the past then the present.

I’d imagine her seeing how time distortion Pokémon start reeking havoc on the Hisuian ecosystem. That would definitely punch her dreams down, and probably make her focus on getting back to her son to live in the present.

Wait wait wait jfdskljfldk this is such an interesting idea Just imagine like, the chaos.

He fears he may have lost his own mother (or father), and the ai is all that was left. He has no idea if she is alive or not. And as months go by, he starts to lose hope. Until one of his friends looks at their phone weirdly. "Hey, isn't that your mom?" His head snaps over to look at them, and on their phone is your stream, along with Professor Sada. Said professor who is happily at your side taking notes as you battle an Alpha Sneasel

What world is he living in? Why is his mom in the past with the famous time traveling streamer and the train man? The same streamer that was partially why his mother was always distracted?

He ends up making an account if he hasn't already, and donates to you to get Text To Speech, and gives his mother a tongue lashing. All those pent up emotions barreling over after months of worry and stress. If Sada doesn't respond, you eventually end up making her do so.

Clearly someone close to her is hurting. You especially press for it when you learn its her own son.

It's almost funny to see how his mom looks like a pokemon caught in headlights, before looking incredibly guilty. That was the risk with time travel, she had no idea her brief visit would be months on Arven's end.

But she was living every scientists dream!... At the cost of possibly losing everything she had worked for. Losing her son, and everything she had planned, such as a paradise for him.

At least in this universe, she survives, but it's a long (chaotic) process of reuniting her with her son, with you, the silly streamer, caught in the middle.

Pokemon Crossbreeds: Pighound

Not to be confused with the Hoghound breed of Houndoom, Pighound is the name for Growlithe/Arcanine with Lechonk/Oinkologne fathers. The breed was named after the fact that Oinkologne are pigs and Arcanine being Hounds. They've mostly been used by farmers to guard livestock since they're friendlier, and Oinkologne are less likely to fear them.

Growlithe

Pighound Growlithe gain a brown color scheme and floppy wars. Their stripes become smoother and resemble dirt or mud, as well as the eye patterns of Lechonk. They're fatter and very friendly to humans, and this breed is a popular pet in Paldea.

Arcanine

Male Female

Pighound Arcanine have less fluff (more prominent with Kantonian Arcanine), curved tails, and the eye patterns of Oinkologne. They're also fatter. Like stated before, they're friendlier and are a popular breed with Oinkologne fathers. While they look more muted, their fire abilities are just as strong snd shouldn't be underestimated. They release a slight aroma from their fur, but it isn't as strong as Oinkologne's.
