The GrimBee Story

Chapter 27

~~~~~~~~~~

Ripjaw and Amberblade followed after the two mechs. I guess that's his mate. Amberblade spoke up.

Looks like it.

I'm really sorry, Ripjaw. Will we be okay?

I'm sure we will be.

"Here we are," Razorclaw pulled them out of their conversation. Amberblade looked around, it was surprisingly roomy in the ship's barracks.

"You two need any Energon?"

Amberblade looked to Ripjaw suddenly feeling uncertain, "Yes, we could use some," Ripjaw replied.

I'm sorry, this feels weird.

"I'll be right back with some. Soundwave will stay here in case you need anything," Razorclaw said as he headed off to get some Energon for the two.

"Alright." I know it is, it's weird for me too.

I can't tell if he's staring at me or if he's looking at something. She moved closer to him not wanting to be near the silent mech. Soundwave felt them looking at him, turning his helm a little a smiley face appeared on his visor.

Don't worry I won't let him do anything to you.

"OK, here you go. I hope I didn't keep you two waiting," Razorclaw spoke as he came back with the Energon.

"Not at all," Ripjaw said as he took the Energon from him.

"Thank you," Amberblade said as she took the cube.

"You're welcome," Razorclaw said as the two started drinking their Energon.

I think they're cautious of me. Soundwave said.

Probably is.

I don't blame them, the last time we met was on the battlefield.

Yeah, and you were trying to take them down and arrest them.

True. They seem to trust you a little more.

Yeah...

"So, how did you two meet?" Amberblade asked once she was finished with her Energon.

"Um..." Razorclaw started blushing.

"Cute, you made him blush," Ripjaw chuckled.

"He was arrested for something and was held in the barracks instead of being put in a pod, I was guarding over him and we got closer."

Ripjaw and Amberblade looked at Soundwave, they didn't expect him to even say anything, "So, what did you do?" Amberblade asked the Wolf-Con.

"My brother and I used to go around raping femmes. We tried to rape Metalsound, Thunderhoof's mate, but she got into it and ended up consenting to it instead. That's why they put me in the barracks instead. My brother on the other hand was put in a pod because he was more dangerous."

"Oh," Amberblade moved closer to Ripjaw.

"Don't worry I don't do that anymore."

"You did ask what he did," Ripjaw whispered.

"I know but I wasn't expecting something like that."

"Can I get you anything else?" Razorclaw asked feeling a bit uneasy.

"No, we're good. Thank you for all you've done," Ripjaw replied.

"You're welcome."

Grimlock looked up to see Bumblebee, "Hey, you left in a hurry. Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, Ripjaw and Amberblade were right outside the scrapyard, apparently Ripjaw was trying to turn himself in."

"Really? I didn't think he would even do that."

"Yeah I know, we heard the two arguing about the decision but we appeared before they could finish their argument. Turns out they mated and Amberblade is sparked."

Grimlock stared in disbelief but before he could say anything Thunderhoof spoke up, "Wait, did you say that they're mates?"

"Yep," Bumblebee replied as he looked over at him.

"That's surprising. I never saw him as the type to settle down with any femme. He must really love this femme."

"It sure seemed like it."

Thunderhoof said nothing else as he walked out of Med Bay to go check on Emberwing. He had been sitting in Med Bay waiting for Ratchet to finish the surgery on Metalsound he was doing to repair some circuitry that was damaged.

"I can't believe they're mates and they're gonna have a sparkling. What are you going to do?" Grimlock asked pulling Bumblebee's attention back to him.

"Not sure yet. We put them in the barracks until we can decide."

"At least there we can keep an eye on them," Grimlock said trying to look on the bright side.

"Yep. How are you feeling?"

"I'm feeling better, my leg feels numb though. How long did Fixit say I had to be here again?"

"At least one to two months."

"And I thought it was bad before. I'm sure time will fly by, especially since you'll be here."

"I'm sure," Bumblebee said as he smiled at him.

"I guess Fixit also said that we can't have our nightly fun, huh?"

"No, he didn't say but I'm sure we can't, as long as we're in Med Bay anyway."

"So, what can we do in the meantime?"

"Maybe we can sparkbond if we can get some privacy."

"Can we even do that in here? Ratchet is still doing surgery on Metalsound, but Knock Out or Fixit could walk in on us."

"That's why I said if we can get some privacy. Or we could do something else. That just came to mind because we've been talking about doing it for a while and haven't yet."

"I know. I would love to sparkbond with you, Bumblebee."

"Yeah, I know. So, what do you want to do since it won't be that?"

Grimlock didn't say anything as he gently pulled Bumblebee closer, taking his lips with his own. Bumblebee was surprised but started kissing him back. Grimlock placed a servo on the back of his helm as he deepened the kiss. He felt his spark pulsing quicker as he poured his whole being into the kiss. Bumblebee pulled back breaking the kiss, "Grim, you know we can't have sex."

"I know, I didn't mean for it to get that deep."

"It's okay, Grim."

I do want to sparkbond with Bumblebee. But what if I mess up? Grimlock asked himself as he looked at his lover in worry.

"What you got on your mind, Grim?"

"I really want to sparkbond with you, Bumblebee. But what if I mess up?"

"You won't."

"Could we sparkbond now?" He asked as a blush crept up on his face.

"Sure," Bumblebee replied with a smile. Grimlock opened his spark chamber feeling nervous but he knew that it would be okay as long as he was with Bumblebee. Bumblebee opened his spark chamber as well revealing his spark and Gimlock's optics widened with awe. "You ready?"

"Yeah."

Bumblebee got on top of him, being careful of his leg. Grimlock wrapped his arms around Bumblebee's lower back to keep him from falling. He positioned himself before putting his spark against his. Once their sparks connected, Grimlock felt warmth wash over him. Woah.

Feels great, right?

It does. Wait, you can hear me? I heard you.

Yep, I could hear you.

That's neat. What else can we do while we're like this?

Let's see, we can communicate, feel each other's feelings, and can tell what the other is thinking.

Wanting to try one of the things he mentioned, Grimlock sent Bumblebee a wave of love, and Bumblebee smiled. I felt that. He said as he sent a wave of love back.

I love you, 'Bee. He said smiling back at him.

I love you too.

They stayed in each other's arms, neither of them wanting to let go. They stayed the way they were as the bonding continued until it finished. Separating their sparks the two closed their spark chambers, "That felt amazing," Grimlock said with a smile.

"It sure did."

Soundwave lifted his visor a little as he took a sip from his Energon, taking a small break from searching, he didn't think it was going to be this hard looking for the Dinobots a place to stay. He was keeping an optic on them while Laserbeak kept searching.

The rest of the bots, except for Grimlock and Metalsound, had gathered together to discuss what to do with the Dinobots, "Where is Soundwave?" Bumblebee asked Razorclaw.

"He's watching Ripjaw and Amberblade. He thought it would be a good idea for one of us to keep an eye on them while the rest of us talked about what we should do with them," Razorclaw replied.

"OK. So, what are we gonna do with them?"

"Searching for a safe place for them to stay seems like a good idea," Razorclaw put in.

"But can we trust them to stay away from humans and not cause any trouble?"

Strongarm, do you remember the island I took you to when we had our anniversary? Steeljaw asked suddenly thinking of an idea.

Strongarm giggled through the bond. How can I forget?

I was thinking since it's far from the humans, maybe the Dinobots could stay there. If it's alright with you.

Sounds good to me.

Steeljaw wrapped his tail around her waist as he spoke up, "May I make a suggestion?"

"Yes, Steeljaw."

"Strongarm and I were thinking that they could stay on the island where we had our anniversary. It's far from the humans and there's plenty of space for them."

"And I highly doubt they will cause any trouble, they seem to just want to be together," Strongarm adds. "I mean, they haven't really been causing any trouble except fighting us when we tried to lock them up."

"They do have a point," Razorclaw said.

"That they do," Bumblebee said after thinking on it.

"Plus, they haven't been seen by any humans either, they've been really careful," Razorclaw added.

"That's true. So, shall we let them stay on the island under supervision?"

"But who should watch them?" Drift asked. Everyone looks at Drift and smiles.

"Why is everyone looking at you, master?" Slipstream asked in confusion.

"Because they expect me to do it," Drift replied with annoyance as a big frown appeared on his face.

Everyone did their best to hold back their laughter, "Does that mean we will be coming with you?" Jetstorm asked.

"Better not, don't need the two seeing or hearing something they don't need to see or hear," Bumblebee replied.

"What do you mean?" The twins asked in confusion.

"No questions!" Drift snapped at them.

The twins flinched, "Yes, master."

"So, what am I to do when they... you know? Am I to watch?"

"I'm sure that won't be necessary, Drift," Bumblebee replied.

"Not to mention it would be creepy if he did watch," Sideswipe muttered to himself.

"Would be disgusting," Drift stated before he shivered with disgust.

"Best have something to cover your audios, they can get loud," Wheeljack smirked. Drift rolled his optics.

"Can't I just come back here whenever they're going to and return when they're finished?"

"That will be fine," Bumblebee replied.

"It will also be a good test," Strongarm put in.

"So we're all in an agreement?" Bumblebee asked making sure they were all on the same page.

"Yes," they all said.

Soundwave, you can stop searching for a place for the Dinobots, we found a place for them. Razorclaw told his mate.

OK.

How are they doing?

Seem to be working out a few things but doing fine.

I'll make sure to make this up to you. Razorclaw said as he sent a wave of love to him.

I'm looking forward to it.

Razorclaw makes it back to the barracks to tell the Dinobots the good news, "We have some news."

"What?"

"We found a place for you to stay."

"Really? Where we will be left alone?" Amberblade asked.

"Yes. But you will have to be supervised," Razorclaw replied.

The two snarled, "Of course," they said together.

"Even when we're fragging?" Ripjaw asked

Razorclaw chuckled, "It will only be temporary. He will leave when you tell him you're about to start and will come back when you are finished."

"Good, we don't like having an audience."

"No one does."

"So, where are we going?"

"An island that is far from any humans. Is quite nice too."

"Sounds peaceful."

"It will be, and if you need anything just let us know."

"OK."

After a few hours, the Autobots had everything ready for Ripjaw and Amberblade. Drift takes the two to the island via Ground Bridge. They get there and look around. Amberblade noticed a small pile of Energon, it would be enough to last for a long while. They left us some Energon.

They did.

We have a lovely view of the sunset.

We sure do. "What do you say we explore the island a little more?" Ripjaw asked.

"Sounds good to me," Amberblade replied.

The two set off to explore some more, Drift following close to keep an eye on them but was far enough to give them some privacy. "This is actually a very nice island."

"It is, I wonder how they found it so quickly."

"Steeljaw suggested it," Drift responded.

"Has he been here before?" Ripjaw asked

"Yeah, he brought his mate here not long ago for their anniversary date."

"That was nice of him."

"Yeah."

Grimlock stared at the ceiling waiting for Bumblebee to come back. He wished that he could have been there for the meeting.

Bumblebee walks in, "Hey, Grim, how you feeling?"

"I'm alright. What did you guys talk about?"

"We discussed what we were going to do with Ripjaw and Amberblade."

"What did you guys decide?"

"We decided to send them to a secluded island far away from the humans."

"I guess that's good. What are they going to do when their sparkling arrives?"

"Don't think they even know. Guess we'll just have to wait until the time comes."

"I wish I could move around more," Grimlock complained as he tried to move to a more comfortable position.

"I know you do, don't worry you'll be up and about before you know it."

"I know, as long as you're with me that's all that matters." Bumblebee just smiled at him, "I'm glad we met and that you gave me a chance, Bumblebee," Grimlock said with a smile.

"I'm glad too, I never felt this way for a bot before."

Grimlock felt his cheek plates heat up but smiled through it, "I love you, 'Bee."

"I love you too, Grim," Bumblebee said with a smile before he leaned in to kiss him. Moaning softly into the kiss, Grimlock sent a wave of love to his new mate. Bumblebee smiled inwardly as he sent a wave back.

I recently got this little monster back! Thanks @appieheijn_ ! At heart it’s an ultra cheap Mega Amp Megatone SL20 solid state practice amp. However I noticed it’s gain structure responded very nicely so I imagined it would sound great through bigger speakers. I disconnected the 8” speaker, added a jack output to the back and into the ENGL V60 loaded cab I had back then it sounded immense!! And it’s got old windmills from Dordrecht on it. 1. What sensory sensitivities do they have?

Red is particularly sensitive to sound and texture. If a sound is too much, either because its loud and unexpected, or because conflicting sounds are happening at once (like overlapping conversation), Reds having a bad time. Akso a lot of scraping sounds, like metal forks on ceramic plates, he can feel in this teeth and its super unpleasant, The move Metalsound has this problem.

As for texture, its mostly prickly or itchy textures that get him badly. Things like clothing tags, the way you feel after getting a haircut but before you shower, scratchy sweaters, things like that. Red won’t even wear clothes that still have tags in them, he either just wont put them on or will rip them out himself. This, unfortunately, includes borrowed clothes, so if you’re lending him clothing its best to make sure that  it doesn’t have tags.

6. What are their special interests?

Red has a few, as mentioned in the previous ask! He’s big into battle mechanics, and pokemon behaviorism. He thinks he wouldn’t make a good professor, but in all honesty with the way hes able to understand pokemon and how much he absorbs pokemon social behavior, he might. He also thinks pokemon lineages (like why shellos has two different forms and how that developed) are cool, but it doesn’t hold as special a place in his heart as behaviorism does. That and pokemon husbandry, but that goes and-in-hand with the behaviorism.

11.What are their comfort foods? What foods do they refuse to eat?

Red’s comfort food is honestly crunchy things like chips. Honestly, a lot of potato based foods tend to go easily with Red. It’s not a lot he outright refuses to eat, but he either needs a safe food with new food, or a LOT of warning beforehand if its not at least somewhat similar to something he’s had before. The only thing he REFUSES to eat is meat, but that’s because of trauma and not being autistic. Because of that though, he’s also not a fan of meat replacements other than like, veggie burgers.

Happy Anniversary “Heavy” (February 16th, 2017)!

"Heavy" is a song by American rock band Linkin Park, featuring guest vocals from American singer Kiiara. The song is the first single from their seventh studio album, One More Light. The song was written by Linkin Park members Chester Bennington, Brad Delson, and Mike Shinoda, alongside Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter. The single was released for download on February 16, 2017, and was premiered on radio on February 21. It is the band's last single to be released during Bennington's lifetime.

Band members Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda, and Brad Delson worked with Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter in co-writing the song's lyrics,  who had previously worked with artists such as Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and Gwen Stefani. Lyrically, the inspiration for "Heavy" came from band member's conversations about frustrations and troubles in their own lives. From that, they found that there was some heavy stuff happening in each other's lives. Bennington stated that personally, he has a hard time with life, even on a good day. He said the opening line "I don't like my mind right now" is him 24 hours a day. In an interview with Music Choice, Bennington said of the song: "Most of my problems are problems that I cause myself. That's what that song's about -- that time when you consciously look at that. Once you acknowledge what it is, you can separate yourself from it and do something about it, as opposed to just being in it."

In a series of videos released leading up to the single's debut, Joseph Hahn brought up the idea of bringing in a female singer for the track, which he described as "something that feels out of the box for us, could give [the song] that dynamic it needs." Bennington, in working with Michaels on writing the track and hearing her rough vocal takes, suggested she sing on the final version, though she declined, stating she would rather be behind the scenes. Bennington recorded a version entirely with his vocals in case the band could not find a fit for a female singer, while the band continued their search.

The band was introduced to Kiiara through Zane Lowe, who, upon interviewing her, was informed that Linkin Park was her favorite band. Lowe reached out to vocalist Shinoda, who was intrigued considering how different Kiiara's music, like her single "Gold", was from Linkin Park's previous works. Zane put Shinoda in contact with Kiiara, and the band ended up deciding to work with her. Kiiara only recorded vocals for the song, as the lyrics and music had already been written prior to her involvement.  Music producersEmily Wright and Andrew Bolooki handled vocal production. The band approved of the overall sound, with Shinoda noting that adding the female voice brought more meaning to the song, signaling that it is not just about one person's struggle.

"Heavy" received generally negative reviews from critics, with complaints generally centered around the band's move from nu metal to a pop-oriented sound. Anna Gaca of Spin found the song to be a failed attempt to stay relevant against current popular rap rock bands like Twenty One Pilots, concluding that "So: How bad is "Heavy"? It's not as bad as you'd think. It will annoy you no more and no less than any other blowout pop duet else you're likely to hear on the radio while you're at the gym or the supermarket or something. It's fairly astonishing to see Linkin Park bend their knee so shamelessly for a taste of the charts, but those are the rules of the game." Emmy Mack of Music Feeds was similarly negative, noting the irony of naming the track "Heavy" when the song sounded like "a dance-pop duet featuring Chester doing a really bad Twenty One Pilots impersonation and trading verses with a random guest pop vocalist." Allison Stewart of The Washington Post called the song "lumbering" and stated that it "emulates, in feel if not in sound, the Chainsmokers' "Closer," with Kiiara standing in for Halsey."

Fan reaction to the song has been equally negative. The negativity inspired the band "Bloodywood" to re-record the song in Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory and Meteora nu metalsound, catching the attention of many music websites such as Loudwire and Team Rock, the latter of which declared it "what Linkin Park's Heavy should have sounded like." The cover and negative reception even caught the attention of the band, who halfheartedly played a part of it in a rehearsal session video, with Bennington jokingly stating at the end "There's your fuckin' Hybrid Theory now shut the... [fuck up]".

The song was released as the first single from their seventh studio album, One More Light. It was released digitally on February 16, 2017. The music video for the song was released on March 9 through their official YouTube channel. The band released a lyric video of the song on the same day. It is the band's last single to be released in vocalist Chester Bennington's lifetime, as he committed suicide by hanging five months after its release.

The music video starts with Chester Bennington and Kiiara grappling with doubles of themselves, where Kiiara's double lingers hauntingly, while Bennington begins to scuffle with his. Eventually, Bennington leaves his house to attend his support group. During discussions, he gets into a confrontation with one of the members of the group, while Kiiara is shown watching them from the under the brim of her hoodie. Bennington leaves in a fury and enters a bathroom. In the bathroom he engages in a fierce fist fight with his double. Then Kiiara is shown entering the same bathroom where Bennington is shown pushed by his demon to the wall and falls down and is caught by Kiiara. The video ends with the two sitting together, Kiiara putting her hand onto Bennington's shoulder.

"Heavy" debuted at number 52 on the US Billboard Hot 100, selling 35,000 downloads in its first week. The song slid down to number 82 the following week and slowly rose to number 50 where it peaked. The song re-entered the chart in August 2017, after the death of frontman Chester Bennington, and reached a new peak of 45. It was also certified Gold in September 2017.

Chapter 18

A few days passed and Optimus was filling in for Bumblebee until he fully recovered. Everyone was doing their best to look for the remaining Dinobots. Steeljaw and Metalsound were sniffing around when Steeljaw caught a scent, "I got something," he told the others.

"So do I," Metalsound replied as her ears perked up, "And I hear something."

"What you hear?" Thunderhoof asked her.

Closing her optics she focused on the sound, they were still too far away to be heard properly, "I can't tell, we're too far away."

"Let's just go," Steeljaw said as he started following the scent. The others quickly followed behind him.

After a few minutes, Metalsound came to a sudden stop, "I hate to say this, but can you hear this too, Steeljaw?" The Predacon asked.

"Yes I can, sounds like they're in the middle of a good frag."

"I know we need to catch them but I do not want to see them in the middle of that," Strongarm responded with a disgusted look.

"I agree, but we need to catch them."

"Can we at least wait until they're done?" Metalsound asked as she covered her ears.

"Sure, I guess," Steeljaw replied. All this is making me want to frag. Steeljaw told Strongarm as he looked over at her.

I feel the same. Is that weird? She asked as she looked at him.

Wouldn't think so, especially since you'll be starting your heat cycle soon.

Nightback will have to stay with Wheeljack and Arcee for the week. Strongarm jumped when they all heard screams of pleasure.

He's really giving it to her. Looking forward to when I can make you scream like that. He said as he smirked at his mate.

I can't wait. She said with a smirk of her own.

After a few more minutes it went quiet, "Did they finally stop?"

"Yep, let's go." Steeljaw led the way. The rest followed and they went into the base where the two were at.

With a yell, Thunderhoof rammed into the base, "Sorry to bother you two but it's time to go."

Ripjaw jumped up and got in front of Amberblade to guard her, "Thunderhoof! How did you find us!?" He growled.

"He has us," Steeljaw growled.

Ripjaw transformed with a snarl, "You're not taking us anywhere!"

"Wanna bet?" Thunderhoof asked as he got ready for a fight. Ripjaw let out a roar as he charged at Thunderhoof. Thunderhoof charged back with his helm down ramming him in his stomach. Snarling in pain, Ripjaw kicked Thunderhoof out from under him. Amberblade quickly transformed and leaped at the former crime boss, only to be intercepted by Metalsound. Both femmes glared at each other, snarling as Steeljaw ran over to them.

"Metalsound, help Thunderhoof. I'll handle her."

"You! You're the Wolf-Con that hurt my shoulder! You'll pay for that!" Amberblade snarled before jumping at Steeljaw.

"So we're just gonna stand here and watch?" Sideswipe asked.

Ripjaw bit down on Thunderhoof's arm, swinging him around like a rag doll. Metalsound ran over and jumped on the Dinobot to help out her mate. Ripjaw let out a snarl as he let go of Thunderhoof. He started slamming his body against the walls trying to get Metalsound off.

Amberblade snapped her jaws at Steeljaw until Strongarm ran over to attack Amberblade. The rest of the Autobots went to help Metalsound and Thunderhoof with Ripjaw. Amberblade watched the two as they surrounded her. They both went in together to attack her. With a growl, Amberblade clamps down on Strongarm's leg, only to growl in pain when she feels something slash her back. Steeljaw slashed his claws across her back, "Release my mate!" 

Amberblade turned to bite at Steeljaw but the Wolf-Con grabbed her and slammed her onto the ground. Strongarm pointed her Decepticon hunter at the femme, "We're taking you in."

Ripjaw looked over and saw this, "Amberblade!"

Thunderhoof, Metalsound, and Sideswipe blocked his path, "Don't worry, we're not taking her in alone," Sideswipe told him with a smirk.

"You're not taking either of us in!" He roared before chomping his jaws onto Metalsound. He picked her up with his mouth and she cried out as she felt his sharp teeth ripping through her metal, almost cutting her in half. Thunderhoof lowered his helm and charged at the enraged Dinobot but Ripjaw threw the femme toward him knocking him back. 

Ripjaw looked to his love as Steeljaw and Strongarm prepared to arrest her. I won't go down without a fight!! With a roar, he attacked the other 'Bots sending them all crashing into the wall. Ripjaw goes to help Amberblade, he swings his tail at Steeljaw and Strongarm sending them both crashing into the wall and the floor. "I won't let you harm my girlfriend!"

Did he really just say girlfriend? Strongarm asked through the bond.

Yes, he did, surprisingly. Steeljaw responded.

"Never thought I'd hear him say that," Sideswipe muttered.

"Neither did I," Thunderhoof stated as he got up off the floor with Metalsound. "I need to get Metalsound to Med Bay," he says before calling for a  Ground Bridge.

"Alright, we'll handle these two," Optimus replies.

Ripjaw goes to pick up their armor then grabs Amberblade and breaks through the wall, "Scrap, he's getting away!" Steeljaw says as he helps Strongarm up. They run out after them.

"I need to get away from these damn Autobots," Ripjaw growled out. He soon reaches a lake and jumps in, going deep down. Ripjaw finds an underwater cave and goes in, he sets Amberblade down and then he puts his armor on before looking out for any sign of them following him.

The Autobots reach the lake but they have no way of knowing which way he went, "We lost them!" Sideswipe shouts in frustration.

"We need to look for them," Strongarm speaks up.

"No, Strongarm, you're hurt. You need to head back to the scrapyard," Steeljaw tells her.

Strongarm wanted to argue and stay to help but she knew it was pointless, "OK. Just be careful."

"I will," Steeljaw said before he kissed her. Strongarm called for a Ground Bridge and went back to the scrapyard. 

"So, what's the plan?" Arcee asked as she and Sideswipe followed Steeljaw.

"We'll have to search for the two, they can't have gone far."

Ripjaw already got back to shore and found a cave for him and Amberblade to rest. Carefully placing her on the ground he gently licked her wounds. Those Autobots will pay for this.

"Thank you for getting me out of there."

"You're welcome. Now save your strength," he said as he gently nuzzled her neck.

"I will," she said as she began falling into recharge.

Ripjaw kept an optic on the mouth of the cave in case anyone was still following. I won't let them hurt you again, Amberblade.
