flags for witch paths batch3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
left: Eclectic Witch. a flag for those who's practice and craft is diverse and works with many other 'paths' instead of focusing their craft around one practice.
right: Pagan Witch. a flag for those who are both witches and pagans, witches who focus their practice around working with their deity/deities.
Tumblr media
these flags are solely for witches. you may request specific flags that more apply to your practice or combine the practices of other paths.
these are not to be used as fiction or regarded as such however you may take inspiration from them.
these paths are not definitive, everyone's practice is different and there are many more than what you may see online.
witchcraft is personal and diverse.
transx/transid and radqueers dont touch my shit thanks.

TRANSGENDER PRIDE FLAG MJÖLNIR
DESIGNER: Monica Helms

COLORS: Light Blue, Pink and White
DESCRIPTION: Five equal sized horizontal stripes in order: light blue, light pink, white, light pink, and light blue.
SYMBOLISM: "The stripes at the top and bottom are light blue, the traditional color for baby boys. The stripes next to them are pink, the traditional color for baby girls. The stripe in the middle is white, for those who are intersex, transitioning or consider themselves having a neutral or undefined gender."
"The pattern is such that no matter which way you fly it, it is always correct, signifying us finding correctness in our lives."
REPRESENTS: Everyone who isn’t cisgender/sexual.

Disney's Hercules Ficto-Religion
Tumblr media
A flag for devotees of the chthonic gods/entities seen in Disney's Hercules.
Struggled a bit with this one as...I had no idea what to do. Never watched the movie, didn't feel called to the pantheon, and most images failed to inspire me for the color palette. Did manage to scrape this together for a request, however, to which I hope the requested likes it.
Still majorly burned out so it'll be a bit before I get back to Magnus Archives things, but I might have a spurr of energy here and there.

I remember trying to force myself to have romantic feelings for the boys around me because I felt any form of positive emotion towards them lmao. Forcing myself to have crushes and/or mistaking intellectual curiosity/friendship for romantic interest couldn’t be more aromantic.

Spiritual Red Flags I've Noticed
***NOTE: This is all UPG type of stuff and is not meant to be a firm statement as to what is right or wrong. You would know what's best for yourself, so if something feels wrong to you, trust yourself. Feel free to use this as a guide, though, if you'd like!***
Here are some things I've encountered in spiritual spaces that, more often than not, are red flags. Once again, I do not know better than anyone else, nor am I claiming to; this is all just based on my personal experience.
Lots of spiritual drama
Lots of drama with gods
Comparing oneself to gods often
Believing they're the reincarnation of a god or demi-god (includes angels and demons)
Claiming to have fought gods and won (roughhousing excluded)
Shit-talking gods, especially those of closed practices
Delving into closed practices without proper permission (if they're not part of it, obviously)
Talk of shifting dimensions or realities (this is not a healthy or safe practice; here is an article that talks a bit about it)
Claiming to have immense magical powers, such as changing the weather or telekinesis
Claiming to have power over free will
Claiming to be a "vessel" for the gods (this is different from channeling)
Being culturally and/or racially insensitive
Constantly misgendering others, especially behind their backs
Constant talk of "imposter spirits"
Interpreting everything as a major sign or omen
Consistently harming others with their practices, such as lying, manipulating, or appropriating
Getting caught in a spiritual lie (in my experience, this includes even small lies)
Proposing a coven that emphasizes hierarchy and/or blind devotion
Taking advantage of those in vulnerable positions, especially those grieving a loss
Every opinion that isn't theirs is wrong
Every practice that isn't like theirs is wrong
Constantly trying to exert power over others
Trying to accomplish drastic magical feats, such as hexing the moon or "killing" a god
Refusing to do individual research
Refusing to accept criticism for their opinions, especially if it's constructive
Claiming to know information that requires research and having no sources
Having very narrow-minded views on gender
Enforcing that they know better than your intuition or know what's best for you and your practice
They give you bad vibes (always listen to yourself and your body)
-
A link to watching out for cult behavior can be found here. Here's also another good post about spiritual abuse red flags. @pondering-the-kaiju also has another good post about general red flags here.

Hey, neurodiverse witches/pagans!
Have you ever considered involving your hyperfixation/special interest in your craft/as offerings?
Well, you should!
I watch OFMD and GO, my two favorite shows, in honor of Aphrodite! Both are rom-coms, so that’s just one reason. But the love I have for those shows as my hyperfixations is overflowing at points, and sometimes I’ll just stim freely in honor of the Goddess, the bringer of joy! I’ve also found that listening to The Theme That Got Left In The Car from GO whenever I’m doing glamour magic/affirmations really helps! Even in writing (and I will admit that I do some fanfiction cause let’s be real a lot of you do but just won’t admit it), including references to Aphrodite or even cameos of Her in certain AUs works as a solid offering!
Your craft is your own. Practice how you see fit, do what feels right for you. Mwah

https://www.tumblr.com/yourbittertarottruth/740135259046395904/yk-how-u-answer-asks-about-future-spouses-do-you
I get this bcuz I’ve heard a few different ways I would meet my fs
Either I’d choose between two different people and hopefully I choose the right one OR I just meet them while traveling/work/school and I HOPE it’s not the latter! I can’t stand being in the middle of such things and just situations like that 😭 plus with the second one makes more sense with how my life is going so could be that 🤷‍♀️ Just gotta let it flow yk
Also I’m so sorry you had to deal with one of those Seoul city fuckbois bcuz goodness that seems like too much to deal with smh (I had a similar experience unfortunately but she wasn’t Korean)
But I wish you the best this year and many years more! 💞 Stay happy and healthy!
Anon, you totally get why I despise the idea of meeting my FS through a "pick 1, lose 1" situation aaaaa !! Going through meeting via work or school sounds mortifying, it's just so- random?? It isn't your fault, no need to apologise! Some of his messages were strange since he'd ask about my half-brother a lot?? I'm not very open about my personal life on Tumblr but for context I have a half-brother who is nearly 30 and I worked as his secretary for a bit when his last one was fired. So, my ex (we'll call him Y) asked "how's your brother?" "what's your brothers schedule today?" It was giving "How do I find the words to tell her? I'm in love with Stacy's Brother" (if you know, you know!) It was such a weird situation, since when he asked me out he did it over text with "Would you like to be in a relationship with me? If I would allow you?" Old Freya thought this shit was cute and was sooo delulu about it. I'm not gonna go into further detail about the relationship, since it may be a bit triggering as the rest of the information contains a lot of s*xu/l stuff he said. Either way, broke up with him after dating for quite a long time and he began st*lking me. He stopped when I FINALLY threatened to call the cops/get a restraining order against him. Moral of the story; don't be delulu. I'll be serious when I say most Seoul City Fuckboys that call their exes "crazy" and whatnot are red flags, they just have the fantasy of wanting to sleep with a foreigner, they're not looking for anything serious !! I'm really sorry you also had to deal with something similar. I hope you're healing now <33 You seem soso nice, feel free to send me a private message if you'd like to talk more !! I'll be sure to work on doing both, thanks! <3

I had no idea the noble virtues concept was a white supremacist concept! Thank you for sharing 💚 I'm not a Norse pagan, but hopefully your info saves someone's ass - reblogging for visibility.
PSA For New Heathens
For any new heathens out there or those looking to get into heathenry: the Asatru Folk Assembly is an explicitly bigoted group. Racism sexism homophobia transphobia, you name the bigotry, they support it. Steer as clear of it and anyone who supports/follows it as possible. The same goes for the Odinic Rite, and many affiliated groups.
These two groups also have a code of ethics they developed called the Nine Noble Virtues. Anyone who pushes these ideas, especially the versions specifically created by these groups, is supporting white supremacy.
Being familiar with hate groups and dog whistles will be one of the most important things you do as you start on your heathen path.

Dreadful Ones Ficto-Religion
Tumblr media
The Dreadful Ones, in a sense, are a broader category (or pantheon of pantheons) for Eldritch Entities a person on the Dreadful Path might follow. Not all Entities are necessarily fictional, but the Dreadful Ones encompasses them as well. Some eldritch entities already have set rituals and traditions, which would be known as Dreadful Traditions.
By its inherit nature as a broader term, Dreadful Ones could be considered an umbrella term for Ficto-religions such as Horror Faith, Lovingcraftian (not to be mistaken for Lovecraftian) and its subgroups, Avatars of the Archive, and so forth. This of respective faiths/paths/spirituality do not have to consider themselves aligned with the Dreadful Ones, and vice versa.
Many who follow the Dreadful Ones may be PCP (Pop Culture Pagans), but not all may be necessarily be so, as Lovecraftian is already becoming it's own standing belief, and there are eldritch entities who already long standing, such as the Leviathan.
Practice and belief may vary upon the source material, and individuals will have different interpretations on the chaos magic(k) that bring such entities into being, such as but no limited to: manifestation/thoughtform, parallel worlds, unrecorded pantheon, dormant deities, and so forth.
All in all, the Dreadful Ones and their respective Dreadful Path are one the lures the heart whom gazes upon the dark sun.
"May the Ceaseless Watcher avert their gaze on us." —The Magnus Archives
