Finn probably should've canceled his plans with Adrasia this evening. In fact, he considered it the moment he saw what Gareth picked out for him to wear –– more pink lingerie as part of his punishment. Didn't feel very fair to Finn that he was getting punished for something he didn't even remember doing, but what could he do? And yet as much as he thought about calling or texting Adrasia for a raincheck, who knew how long this might go on for and Finn had no intention of hiding out until Gareth got bored of these outfits again. There were a lot worse states Adrasia could see him in than decked out in sheer pink from head to feet. He'd already seen the start of this shit on Halloween and Christmas anyway. This time, he at least had the decency to give his friend a little notice that he was in some slight trouble with Gareth so it wouldn't be a completely shocking sight... maybe.

He'd already started prepping and cooking the other's requested meal, a couple pots and pans on the stove in the kitchen. It'd been a minute since he went Mexican, though he had no complaints on spicy food. Hearing Adrasia at the door, Finn folded and tightly tied his robe closed around himself as he walked through the house to answer it, ensuring he was as covered as he could be by the time he opened the door. "I'd say 'don't start' but I think it's a little too bright and impossible to ignore, isn't it?" he sighed. He backed away from the door so that the other slave could get out of the cold and into the warmed house. "Look, this probably isn't the worst situation you've seen me in." Best to get it out of the way and then move off it for the rest of the night.

"You're much closer than you were yesterday," Khion replied, smiling sweetly as he dropped his elbows on the table and interlaced his fingers into a bridge to rest his chin on. His bright eyes twinkled adoringly at Stigr across from him, obviously unable to stay mad at the councilman for very long. How could he when the man knew just how to treat him? "I suspect you'll be completely in the clear after tonight."

Stigr chuckled quietly and turned his own attention to the menu. The pamola had known him for long enough to know that the councilman had been serious when he'd said he could get whatever he wanted. Money hadn't been an issue for Stigr in a long, long time. He ordered a wine with human blood, not in the mood for any of the side effects that could occur with anything else, and shifted his gaze to Khion. "So." Stigr began conversationally, leaning back in his chair. "Am I starting to work closer to being forgiven?" The councilman asked, amusement lacing through his voice so he was quite sure any annoyance the slave had felt toward him had disappeared after receiving his gift.

There were three options left, right?

1) Resume the war.

2) Not do anything while also not getting the hostages back.

3) International community puts pressure (economic, probably) on Hamas to release hostages and actually end the war.

Am I missing something? This wasn't a great option, but there also wasn't another good choice. If the rest of the world got their shit together and pressured Hamas, maybe this would be a different conversation, but I'm not holding my breath.

Also, that the PA has been more critical of Hamas than most of the UN member states about the resumption of fighting is a whole other thing.

I’ll be back real quick and we can do whatever you want then, yeah?” he was always annoyingly persuasive and even though you wanted to cross your arms and get in the truck anyway, the smoke scented hands coming up to grab your face for a kiss were convincing you otherwise.

“you promise?” the everpresent pout on your face made his eyes roll, nodding your own head with his hands.

“yeah, yeah. now get back inside, got somethin’ real special with your name on it for when I get back.”

If dr. doofenshmirtz exists in ur universe, just imagine a scenario where he’s in the middle of a fight with Perry, but somehow he comes across reader and instead of continuing to fight perry… he just sits down next to reader and babbles on with them about inventions.

And Perry reluctantly lets it happen, cause reader is neglected and dr. doofenshmirtz isn’t the worst person in the world. It’d actually probably be good enrichment for reader and him to just sit in a room and invent!

but aww, that's actually a cute idea. they meet doof by crashing in his building and then they help him finish his dimensional travel-inator. good thing damian isn't with them, because he would have kicked this pharmacist's butt in a second. it surely is enrichment, provided this choice to help a villain open a portal to another earth doesn't backfire!

It's Fashion Plate Friday!

This week I have a fashion plate from Journal des Demoiselles, dating to January of 1892. Signed by P. Deferneville, featuring toilettes by Madame Pelletier-Vidal of 19 Rue de la Paix, corsets by Madame Emma-Guelle of 3 Place du Théàtre Français, perfumes by Maison Guerlain of 15 Rue de la Paix and shoes by Maison Kahn of 55 Rue Montorgeuil.

TOILETTE DE BAL. Robe en gaze brochée Nil pour jeune fille. Jupe légèrement drapée faisant un peu la traîne et garnie dans le bas d'une chicorée en gaze découpée, sur laquelle est posé un cordon de roses pom-pons. Le corsage, drapé en travers, est décolleté en carré devant et derrière; double bretelle de roses pompons maintenant le haut du drapé; manche bouffante avec bracelet de roses pompons. Coiffure grecque avec cordon de roses enroulé dans le nœud des cheveux.

TOILETTE DE DINER. Polonaise en tissu tête de nègre rayé de petits liserés de soie vieux rose en saillie sur l'étoffe. Le corsage est décolleté en cœur devant, sur une guimpe plate en velours gros vert, à revers brodés. Col montant doublé de fourrure; le tour de la jupe, le décolleté du corsage et le bas des manches sont bordés de fourrure.
