Man, it's cool and all if you see a metaphor for marginalisation in the monstrous, and if you want the power fantasy of 'what if you could just eat anybody who threatened you/pissed you off'. Me too.

However, as soon as you start saying 'no, these monsters are a 1:1 on Specific Marginalised Group, and you have to treat them in the fiction like they are directly representative of real human members of the marginalised group', BUT you also, in the fiction, make them hurt/kill/eat humans? And then try to shame me, your audience, for noticing or engaging with the bit where they kill people, because you made them directly representative of a real-world marginalised group? You have lost me, and also, I think, the plot.

Okay, but imagine Leona's and Jack's reaction:

Ruggie just showing a picture of his new brothers with his grandma to Jack and he just snatched it to make sure its 100% actually Ernesto and Gidel and not a hallucination. He looks back at ruggie with shock and disbelief and asks if this is a joke.

Ruggie denies it saying that she jokes about alot of things, but she takes family very seriously. Confused by the question he tries to get it back asking him if there's something wrong with the picture, but Jack immediately walks away from him saying that he needs to show Leona. Confused and interested he follows Jack to see what about his new brothers made him react like this.

When Jack shows Leona the picture he snatched it to look at it again and asks Ruggie if this is a joke. He denies it again and asks why did you two look so surprised. "Have you met them before or something?"

ASGDJDKA OH ANON I LOVE IT! Is things like this that I REALLY WANTED Ruggie to part of the event, and see him interact with Ernesto/Fellow and Gino/Gidel (T^T)

ANYWAY!!! I imagine Jack and Leona don't know whether to be outraged or worried aSDAGHGASGA Now imagine if they explain what ended up happening in the park, what Ruggie's new "brothers" did and all the chaos that occurred... Which could result in two reactions, maybe..

The first: would be Ruggie in shock, in silence already getting some gray hairs, thinking about how the hell he's going to explain this to his grandmother.

And the most likely, second possible reaction would be: he responds "Okay... and? Is that why you two are acting like this? Pff- They're not that bad, anyway, look at the hat she sewed for Gino-"

Big Mama must have lost some serious standing in the yokai underworld because it’s gotten apparent that she keeps being beaten by a small group of teenagers and the occasional rat man, and when it’s not them then she’s taking L’s from her own schemes working against her.

And in the ensuing power vacuum, the Hamatos accidentally become the most feared crime family known to all the big bads of the Hidden City.

After all, they’ve publicly outplayed Big Mama multiple times, a couple of them have taken out the heads of two of the most well known criminal organizations, one took out Heinous Green, two are responsible for the destruction of Witch Town, they have ties to both the infamous Baron Draxum and Captain Piel, they won the Doom Dome death race, they’re Battle Nexus Champions, they’ve displayed insane feats of power and defeated impossibly strong enemies, most of them have been to jail, and they regularly mingle with humans.

You can just imagine the notoriety they’d accumulate from word of mouth alone.

#anethia collectibles #slay the princess #so ...#run 1 is i think the witch/thorns where we chose to be very stoic and silent throughout #run 2 is the paranoid/nightmare route (fav) bcus i wanted to get to ask more qns that round and somehow that ended up leading to my poor #little curious guy getting so broken and fractured :3 #run 3 is the hero/deconstructed damsel route ....#run 4 is the tower! and being a little shit who is by hell and highwater NOT kneeling down #run 5 is the spectre ... roleplayed as guy who is for reasons he doesnt understand just wants it to be over #and MEOW anyway #nobody told me this game was an rpg .....#but its cool ! i love romances :]#i think its awesome ... the way the hero and the princess are . changing over time . over with each reset #the way they find each other in the long quiet ...... its something so #i love it ...#the hero is so guilty for hurting the princess that he loves and he is scared of hurtign and he wants peace and he doesnt want the eternity #of it .... he loves the . shifting mound (?) is it (?) as much as he hates the work she makes her do as much as he loves todo the workforher #like a blank slate knowing nothing . except that broken wounds can be healed . and then he meets her. and then he meets her over and over #its a million meet cutes for the hero and the princess snd a sweeping tale of love and devotion and salvation in the long wuiet #how many more vessels do you need .....#and its fun to. at least how i played it . the things the hero picks up on #knowingly or unlnowingly with each run #its soooo #every 'remain silent' feels like a callback to the first libe #telling the voices 'itll be okay' after the brightness of the damsel snd that 'ill be okay' after the selfishness n suffering of apotheosis #or after the deconstructed damsel route . and then to the last run. becoming the damsel. seeing it throughcher eyes #and its so . this culminating ammassing of allcthese voices .... and it comes to it all being reflected at eachcother #spectre posseses hero and shifting mound and player becomign whole #anyway i like this love story i find it very tender and swet #... anyway ! this is . none of this is analysis these are just my ocs and the story i made up whilst playing
