Listen. Sometimes you spend a whole day illustrating a page worth of (shaded!!) drawings of your otp based on a single Tumblr post about matching couples' tees that say "I'm Fucking Weird" and "I'm Weird", respectively, and that is VALID, ok?

So yeah, this page gives some insight into the Hen/Stag parties that Jesse and Beca have before their wedding, at least in the little pocket universe surrounding that giant fic I'm writing. That is to say, they have a joint party (apparently legitimately called a Hag party, which is the term I'll be using from now on because that's fucking hysterical actually), renting out a club with a karaoke DJ and stage with the Bellas, Trebles and their various career friends (because it was mutually agreed that staying in one place would minimize the amount of potential havoc these hooligans could wreak), wore this set of couples' tees (designed by Jesse but wholeheartedly approved by Beca--once she stopped laughing uproariously, of course).... And ditched the party halfway through. 😂 But then would we expect anything less?

(For the record though they absolutely CRUSHED everyone else at karaoke before they left, that duet will be the stuff of legends for years to come.)

So yeah, just a handful of scenes from their Hag Night Party, in which: 1. Beca has the best ideas, ever, while the rest of the Bellas and Trebles devolve into chaos off-screen; 2. In which Jesse is a whole-ass mood because this is also my reaction when presented with Beca Effing Mitchell (and Anna Kendrick for that matter); and 3. Some hardcore karaoke is had as Beca and Jesse bring down the house with their duet of "Somebody Loves You", and Beca serenades Jesse with a cheesy af country song that would probably be unforgivable if she wasn't turning it on its head by gender swapping it.

Also of note: yes, Beca is wearing a cropped leather jacket with spikes, distressed short-shorts over fishnets, and some particularly punk boots, as well as a sparkly tiara with a white gossamer veil and a cutesy Bride-to-be phrase on it ("Queen of His Life"), AND a pendant necklace with a charm shaped like a treble clef bordered by a J and B on either side (which was definitely an anniversary present from Jesse). She's like an onion, you know? She has layers, figuratively and literally! And yes, Jesse is wearing a blazer and a bowtie over his T-shirt, like a dork, while also wearing black leather pants. And, of course, a matching crown to Beca's with an equally cheesy Groom-to-be phrase on it ("King of Her Heart"). He has the range.

Oh boy a triple feature! :D Here we go, folks!

Under a read more cause its going to get long but each listed character will be split apart evenly!

First up is Baron Dark!

Why I like them: He is just bombastic in personality! He lives loud in his actions and words, participating in most of the action himself while also showing he is a threat and menacing altogether! I also like that he is one of the few villains that shows he cares for his crew as a “family” (at least for most part of the series before being overtaken with obsession to have power more on his own). Given the dynamic we are given from the show, its obvious he cares and treats them all on a level of respect as well, something so rare to see nowadays! And I also enjoyed that his reasons to take over and do the shit he did in the series, “Because I can!” is just as refreshing and fun to see in a villain too!  And again, his design is a top tier design I love overall! Its menacing, powerful, and outright amazing! Definitely adds to the character and how well he works in effect to keeping my attention! Like just look at that design! And his VA did a wonderful job of adding to that charm that is just delightful to see in his personality! Overall, he is totally a villain I would love to see more of in the future!

Why I don’t: I say my dislikes often fall on the usual tropes of a kid’s show of the 90s. He talks too much when he could be doing things himself and falls victim to the typical “I am too powerful” but doesn’t think of the obvious steps ahead that will be his downfall. But honestly, its so small I don’t find it jarring or that bad to be in the way! It was the 90s and aimed at kids at the time, so we can’t expect TOO much out of that xD

Favorite episode (scene if movie): Oh man, that’s a tough one cause every scene/episode Baron is in he totally slays it! Its either a tie from the first episode to the very last one cause the stakes of start and finish are so well done, I love it all! 

Favorite season/movie: Obviously, the TV series is the best version of him! The comics sucked and turned him too OOC from what was initially given! Like how does one go from point A to be Z so freaking fast? xD

Favorite line: “Because I can.” Yeah, not gonna lie this was indeed my favorite line of his xD

Favorite outfit: Honestly, the outfit he gains near the end of the series is by far my favorite! Its like a mix of the Bejeweled Catacomb Saints and Mictlantechutli put in one and its befitting of the Baron given his gain in power! 

OTP: Baron and Cyborn are my OTP and are married, fight me. 

Brotp: Definitely Brotps with the rest of his henchmen though I see them more being like his adoptive children! 

Head Canon: Baron is of indigenous background! I also like to headcanon that the white tuft/strands in his hair are truly his and have been there since birth!  (I have so many more HCs for him but I will keep it short cause it can go all day x’) )

Unpopular opinion: Don’t think I have one, at the moment at least. 

A wish: To have gotten more information/lore on him and the entire cast, honestly! I would have loved to see more of his character explored and what more he could have had to offer as a series main villain! Hell, the whole damn series had so much to offer! And just the relationships he has with the others and what more he could have done post season and before! So much potential there to be explored! I honestly would not be objecting to a reboot/revival or continuation of the series! 

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: Though with that said, if a reboot does come around, don’t turn it into the mess of current cartoons we have. Not that they are all bad but most of them have been very disappointing in keeping my attention and liking. Keep the same type of messages it had before! It worked beautifully as it did then and still does work now! I’d love to see the same formulas used while also updating it to be more gritty and mature like they did for Castlevania! Just... Don’t turn it into a cringe worthy mess that will ruin Baron and all the characters in the series! Don’t do what the comics did! 

5 words to best describe them: Charmingly evil, badass, fun, conniving bastard, and menacing. 

My nickname for them: Mega dork (affectionately speaking)

Next is Ariandel!

Why I like them: Oh boy, there is a lot to say in terms of why I like him but I will try to keep it short and simple for time purposes!  His design is top tier for me! Like a rotting skull like face? Check! A monstrous body much like a bird’s? Check! And to add he is a giant Corvian, which are one of my favorite enemies in Dark Souls III!  His personality also differs from the usual loud, bombastic, and proud characters I tend to gravitate for. Instead, he’s withdrawn and rather sad to look at and hear. You know he’s going through a lot but don’t know exactly what it is. In game, one can sort of get hints as to what has gone on behind the scenes but at the same time, its still vague and hard to really pinpoint what really did happen. So he has that air of mystery to him that I honestly adore in many characters as it leaves room to explore deeper into their lore! But I also find his personality relatable as well as sympathetic.  But that’s just me, I can gush about him all day but I will cut it short here x’)

Why I don’t: To be honest I don't have any reason not to like Ariandel other then the small fact that he followed Friede and let the Painted World rot in such a terrible state. But that is so minor of an issue to me to really make a difference, lol. I adore this giant bird man!

Favorite episode (scene if movie): I have to say the scene where he ultimately snaps and breaks out of binds after seeing Friede's lifeless body before him is my favorite scene of his. The amount of pain and anguish heard in his scream and the way he moves prior and after; I can very much relate to that feeling. Sometimes, actions truly convey the emotions better in the most powerful means necessary. And this scene alone truly nailed it.

Favorite season/movie: He's only ever seen in the Dark Souls III DLC, so obvious answer points to the DLC!

Favorite line: "When the Ashes are two, a flame alighteth. Thou'rt Ash, and fire befits thee, of course..."

Favorite outfit: Uhh, he doesn't really wear any clothes save for his cape? So I guess the cape does him well as he is, though I always draw him without it xD

OTP: To be honest, I don't ship him with any canon characters within Dark Souls. Friede does not deserve him..

Brotp: Ariandel being best friends with the Ashen One is my ultimate Brotp! Just think of how much of a valuable ally he could have been!

Head Canon: I know his origins are debatable, as either theory I have for him can be plausible but I often lean more towards the idea of him being half Giant and half Corvian! IDK why but I just like it a lot more x’)

Unpopular opinion: While Ariandel is partly responsible for what happened to the Painted World, I still feel he was manipulated overall and probably at one point did have a change of heart before being forced into complete isolation. He plays more the role of the willing/unwilling accomplice then the actual perpetrator of the crime.  

A wish: He could have had a happier ending without having to die for Friede. I know, its Dark Souls. Such a thing is expected to happen in the Soulsborne series but its a wish, right? 

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: That anything beyond the infatuation he had for Friede took place. Just.. No. He loved her but never could ever have her in that sense and never did. Just no, she is horrible to him. 

5 words to best describe them: Sad, lonely, birdman, withdrawn, and tragic

My nickname for them: Papa bird

And lastly for skekSo!

Why I like them: I think its as obvious as the case for Baron Dark. I like evil, smug bastards that shine through their wickedness and don't usually hold back. In the case of skekSo, I actually didn't care for him at first but then after my second viewing of the show, I started to like him more and enjoy his villainy! He's selfish, arrogant, vain, and conniving and I love it! Added that his design is really appealing to the eye and how he carries himself out, I gotta say he's one of the few villain characters from a show that makes the turn around for me to like them instead of hate them more. Also, his voice. Can NOT go wrong with that voice cause DAMN, its good and shows just how powerful a villain can be with a voice like his. And those eyes. Oh man, those eyes!

Why I don’t: Despite his villainy being the main point that caught my attention, its also a part of his downfall too. His constant greed and arrogance pushed him too far into doing what he did and ultimately cost him everything in the end; including loyal allies that end up dying for him in the long run. I hate how easily and quickly he changes his mind when actual logic is put into perspective of his plans and how quick he is to dismiss someone else when they don't please him anymore or things don't go his way for the smallest things. And yes, that is part of his character, I know that. That is what makes him as scummy as he is and why I love how trashy he is. But I also can't ignore just how easily he pushed skekVar away and believed skekSil despite knowing just what a lying bastard he is. IDK, it just feels too obvious but at the same time, it is what it is and I am not upset about it in the least x)

Favorite episode (scene if movie): Honestly, I enjoyed all the scenes with him in the show but mostly in particular with his interactions with skekVar, especially towards the end of the series. It showed a peak part of his vulnerability in his character that honestly I doubt he ever shows to anyone else. He spends most of his time pushing others around and making them fear him but with skekVar there is a sort of mutual respect going that really speaks out in a different way. Maybe I am just reading too much into it, but I always did enjoy how they interacted with one another!

Favorite season/movie: Well, skekSo didn't get much screen time in the movie other then him dying and turning to dust so.... Definitely enjoyed him more in the show then the film xD

Favorite line: "NOOOOO!" (Yes, this scene is still very infamous to me for personal reasons but the way he carried out his "no's" cracked me up each time xD)

Favorite outfit: Honestly, the main outfit he wore throughout the show. It's just so regal and goth, I love it! And as a goth and fashion enthusiast myself, I am all up for the style he has! The battle armor he wore near the end made it a tad more laughable to be honest.

OTP: I started shipping him with skekVar but ended up with an OT3 of skekVar and skekZok. So now all three of them live in a happy relationship with each other in my noodle~

Brotp: I see him being on neutral terms with skekMal! 

Head Canon: I feel that even in the show it wasn’t seen or given, but he did feel a lot of remorse and regret after the loss of skekVar. He seemed very close with him and spoke with skekVar with more trust then he did the others. Perhaps in secret he did mourn the General’s loss. 

Unpopular opinion: Does this count as an unpopular opinion? I know most people see him with just a few strands of hair but I tend to see him with a head full of long flowing white locks he keeps hidden beneath his clothes. It adds to the extra layer of vanity for a proud Emperor such as he! He looses it over time the darkening consumes him and withers down his health. 

A wish: To see what he was like as an urSkek prior to being split up into a Skeksis and urRu. Yeah, I know people don't care or like the urSkeks all that much but honestly, I would LOVE to see more urSkek lore and see what it was that made SoSu so special among his peers. It was said, after all, he had a voice that could move the stars but was conflicted and consumed with darkness. Honestly, I want to know why and who he was prior to all of this mess! SkekSo even says in the show he still has nightmares of the life before so I wonder, what they were and how it was! So much potential here, man!

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: I don’t think I have any of these to be honest? At least with skekSo. Not that I can think of on top of my head now.

Okay this is gonna be super in depth + full of spoilers so details below the cut to spare y’all scrolling on your phones haha. 

IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER:

Chen Qing Qing x Situ Feng (Accidentally in Love, Cdrama) - I love both of these characters so much. Qing Qing is such a bad*ss, and Situ Feng is such a lovable dork. I love how well-matched they are in wit and humor. They are also the best example of enemies-to-friends-to-lovers I’ve seen on any drama so far. The way their bond developed was so natural. I also LOVE how obsessed they are with each other while also remaining independent. They are physically affectionate in a believable way that you don’t see often in dramas. 

Nam See Hee x Yoon Ji Ho (Because This Is My First Life, Kdrama) - This couple is just so soft. They’re also so dang compatible--they genuinely enjoy each other’s company/habits and support each other without jealousy or drama. I appreciate how they subvert traditional drama stereotypes-- See Hee is blunt + honest without being mean, and Ji Ho prioritizes her work + friendships just as much as her relationship. Also, they have one of the most beautiful, sexy, realistic first kisses in any drama ever!!! THEY ACTUALLY  MOVE THEIR LIPS AND EVERYTHING.

Woo Soo-Ji x Ma Sang-Goo (Because This Is My First Life, Kdrama) - What do we love more than a cool, confident, feminist heroine? A man who adores and supports a cool, confident, feminist heroine. Their scenes together range from sexy, to sweet, to tender, to comedic. Both actors bring so much depth and range to their individual characters, thereby creating what is one of the most interesting and shippable beta romances (imo).

Wang Qiang Wei x Wang Qiang Da (Lion Pride, Tdrama) - THESE TWO. The jokes, the eye contact, the mystery solving--everything about the way they interact is just so CUTE. The scene right after they’ve kissed and are hugging in the street (when Si De tries to prevent Tsiao Tie from seeing them) is just bursting with intimacy and affection. They strike the perfect balance between a youthful, innocent romance and a more domestic, mature romance. 

Lian Si De x Tie Bu Fan (Lion Pride, Tdrama) - What I love most about these two is how similar they are. On the outside, they’re confident, stars of their workplaces, and popular in the dating world. But at their core, they are loyal, selfless, hard on themselves when they make mistakes, and the two best friends anyone could have. Watching them fall for each other amongst the crazy circumstances of the mystery plotline endeared them to me so much. Also, that scene with the umbrella is A+ ROMANCE. Still mad they never got to kiss. 

Pi Yanuo x Du Zifeng (Bromance, Tdrama) - If you want a couple with red-hot passion, you don’t need to look further than these two. The sexual tension between them had me screaming “JUST KISS!” at my TV practically every episode. Beyond that, the level of trust + loyalty was beautiful--they really were equal partners in the relationship. Also, I LOVE that the show explicitly stated that Du Zifeng’s attraction for Yanuo went beyond her gender, and he would love her the same no matter how she identified. (Also, that final scene in the hotel hallway is, to this day, the hottest scene I’ve ever witnessed in a drama.) 

Liao Guang Chao x Zi Han (Bromance, Tdrama) - At first, this couple felt more like a “pair the spares” situation for me. But the more time they spent together, the more I appreciated the humor of their moments. By the show’s end, I fell in love with how they bring out the best in one another + help each other grow. A-Chao challenges Zi Han to rethink her assumptions, manage her temper, and be less selfish. Zi Han emboldens A-Chao and inspires him to be more hard-working, brave, and determined. The actors are also comedic gold individually and as a pair, so that helps them slip into the top 10. 

Lu Yang x Lin Jingxiao (A Love So Beautiful, Cdrama) - These two were the real otp of ALSB, lemma tell ya. First of all, Jingxiao’s super cool: feisty, intelligent, and ambitious, but also a little too aggressive sometimes. Lu Yang’s obvious adoration of her, as well as his charming, loyal, humorous, and slightly scaredy-cat personality, made them such a fun and lively pair. I also appreciated their “you exasperate me but also I would die for you” dynamic and how that continued after they became official--I can’t stand when a drama has a couple get together and then changes one of their personalities to hide the fact that they just wouldn’t work (*cough* *cough* like they did with the main couple for this show). 

Oh Dong-baek x Hwang Yong-sik (When the Camellia Blooms, Kdrama) -  I am 100% on board with this pair!!! I ADORE their honesty and communication. So many dramas are exasperating bc their leads constantly misunderstand each other or can’t explain what they want, but not these angels! They excel at compromising to suit the other’s needs/wants and find ways to show love through meaningful actions. The level of care and nurturing is so lovely. Also, the actors have amazing chemistry--they genuinely look so happy together! (Where can I get me a Yong-sik???)

Fei Fei x Wen Li (Well-Intended Love 2, Cdrama) - The only thing that got me through season 1 of this show, tbh. I will say that I liked the development of their relationship in season 2 a lot more. Unlike a lot of other couples, the awkward moments in their relationship came off as comedic rather than cringey. Their meet-cute at the bar and the scene where Wen Li cleans Fei Fei’s house while she sleeps showed how sweet and genuine their connection was. I’m glad they gave them that shift where Fei Fei realized she had to go after him and put her all in the relationship too--Wen Li was such an angel, so I'm glad he got to be the one who was romanced after spending so much time romancing her. 

LET IT BE KNOWN that I wanted to include Ji Jia Wei x Xiao Tong from the Tdrama Murphy’s Law of Love on this list, because Jia Wei is my favorite male lead of all the dramas I’ve watched so far. Unfortunately, the consistent wishy-washy-ness of Xiao Tong prevents me from doing so. I still can’t get over how she constantly misinterpreted what was happening in their relationship and refused to communicate DESPITE LITERALLY BEING A DATING EXPERT. 

Also honorable mention to Cha Soo-hyun x Park Hae-young (Signal, Kdrama) because although they aren’t a canon couple, they clearly have intense chemistry considering how much they invade each other’s space, and their intense emotional connection coupled with what a dream team they are as crime-solvers just gets me, y’know? If the season 2 rumors are true, I’ve got my fingers crossed for them to go canon!!

My Top Favorite ships of the decade (2010 - 2020)

Now, who doesn’t like shipping? Mostly, we feel lonely and we want to experiment romance to fill that gap. And what a better way to do it by taking two characters and imagine romantic stories of them. Now, I’m also a big shipper myself, and believe me, I got a lot of ships 

However, some ships are more cute than others imo, and this is why I’m making this top 5 of my favorite ships of the last decade 

As always, this is only a personal opinion, and I hope that you enjoy this special post for the 14th (even though it’s a bit late, but the flu was killing me xD)

So, let’s start!

5.- Finntress

After what Finn had went though all the show, I was starting to think that he would never be able to find a true lover. But then, “Flute spell” appeared

I’m ngl, I never believe I would ended up loving them. We know that Finn had failed before with PB and Flame Princess, and it was a bit sad to see him as a lone guy

But I found something cute on them. Like two wild hearts together. The way they syncronize their flutes, it’s just unique

In addition, we can see how they develop their relationship in a cute and innocent way as the show progress. Her phrase “We both know you're totally in love with me” and the fact that she gave him an elk’s heart, make us see that she could accept his feelings in the end. 

Of course, the ending of the show have left us some doubts about the ship status. But, after all the teases, I’ll consider that they ended up together c:

4.- Penashi

My first OTP ever in a fandom, Penn Zero and Sashi Kobayashi. The part time hero and the part time sidekick

Well, first of all, we see that through the show, Penn appreciates the assistance of Sashi, calling her even the smartest and toughest of girls. He even takes in mind all the advices she is giving to him in some missions, and even, he says that she is “the glue of the team”

We can also see a bit of jealously between this two dorks. Penn was always jealous of how Blaze was earning Sashi’s heart with ease, and he was trying through all the episode to get her attention haha. But it’s not only on his side. Sashi didn’t like him to get close to some girls, like Pirate Maria or Orchid. Jealously between them is kinda funny, but cute xD

Their funny moment is when Penn says to her “Sashi, he's not even human, it's just not gonna work out”, when she made a good comment about Blaze. Looks like Penn wanted Sashi a lot 

Even if the show was a bit short in my opinion, Sam Levine made a good job showing the teases in this ship, not rushed, and with an amazing finale, a kiss between them. Believe me, getting your 1st OTP canon is such a unique experience and a feeling you will love for all your life

3.- Penball

My favorite ship in TAWOG since it’s released. The love between a cat and a “magical peanut”. 

We all know that they had a crush on each other from the start of the show. However, what it makes this ship so special it’s the slow development. They don’t became a couple from a day to another (or from an ep to another)

They started with small blushes, kisses on the cheek, and even had problems hiding their feelings... but everything they did was calmly. Even if we know that they would become endgame, it wasn’t that fast-formulate ship we see everyday. Their love was hidden for 2 seasons, but sure enough, it was worth the wait

It also teaches us a lesson, when love is pure and true, not even physical differences can destroy it. In “The Shell”, Penny was scared that Gumball didn’t go to accept her because of how “ugly” she looked. However, he didn’t care about it, he still loved her. 

I got a lot more ships in TAWOG, but sure enough, this is my favorite one. Pure love in a ship, even though they had their small fights and misunderstandings

2.- Radnid

Through all 2019, this had been my favorite OTP. Rad and Enid. The two bodega-workers that have a deep story together

I’m not gonna lie, with “Second First Date” I was in doubt in shipping them, but after seeing some teases of them (like Rad wanting a hug in “Let’s take a moment”) and the fact that even KO and Mr Gar ships them, made this my OTP

We see them as two simple teenagers that have a lot in common. They love the action, they watch each other’s back, and most of the time, they spend their free time doing some good pal’s stuff. In addition, we cannot deny that there were their small moments that made us ship them in like “Special Delivery” or “Red Action 3: Grudgement day” (this last one, with a bit of doubts)

And also, after watching the two young guys in the finale, I made my HC that they ended up together, and have two kids, and they lived happily ever after c: (and yes, finale is up to the spectator)

Actually, this was actually my top 1 in this list, but there was one ship that managed to fill my heart with pure cuteness

1.- Charlastor

Caught me off surprise, I never thought I would be able to find an amazing ship like this. Alastor and Charlie. What to say? 

In just one pilot, I got a lot of stuff to say. First of all, the dance scene. Isn’t it cute to see both of them dancing together? Those close encounters, those lips almost close to each other (like if they wanted a kiss), and the way they enjoyed that moment. Just gold

Then, let’s see their personalities. Two demons that like to dance and smile, have an optimistic feeling most of the times, and in addition, they got that chemestry that made us see them as a cute pairing

Also, what to say about all the sweet things Al said to her. “Sweetheard” “Charming Demon Belle” “My dear”. I mean, which lady doesn’t like those nicknames? 

I know that the show have more to give us, but I’m hopping to see more scenes of both of them c:

Impromptu Thunderrose Ramble Time

I'm very tired but I gotta get this off my chest. I love tc and rosie together. They're my otp. They're so perfectly opposite that they're attracted to their differences! Thunder loves Rosanna's pure headedness and warm bubbly attitude, and she loves his rough features and gruff sounding voice- how he's tough on the surface and soft deep down. He's big, she's small; he's quite and reserved, she's a social butterfly; he's grumpy, she's sunshine; he's thick and blocky, she's smooth and curvy; she sneezes like a kitten, he sneezes like an explosion; he struggles with feelings of destiny, she struggles with working too hard to be good.

And then the similarities! They both love animals; they enjoy movies; they love each other's smiles and laughs; they both love to go out and fly, and travel to exotic places; they're both lightweights; they're both junk food junkies (I'll stop calling them out XD); they both worry about each other; they both want the absolute best for each other; they love each other unconditionally!!

And Thundercracker, oh boy Thundercracker, he's turned into a complete lovestruck puppy over her-- that little pink minibot who got past every one of his walls and defenses. Who had him questioning if he's actually capable of having these feelings. With her charm, her cute little voice, her good spark, and her excellent baking skills, she managed to win over this tired bird's spark. Rosie is his whole world. His light in the darkness. Once he was blind to love and now he's given his whole self to loving that femme. 

Of course, he's still unsure about a lot of things. He's still learning to flirt (and getting better, despite how awkward he sometimes feels when he does it); he's confused about whether he wants kids; he struggles with his depression and self loathing, and trying not to let it get in the way to of their relationship. With every new step, he's worried if he can be what she needs him to be, because he's never felt this kind of love before, and this is his first and only romantic relationship. Will he end up hurting or disappointing her? Will be a bad sire? A bad Conjunx? Will he fall out of love for her one day? 

And Rosie, she just- she listens to all his concerns and woes without judgement, STILL loves and wants to be with him, and is there to support him all the way. And it baffles him!! That he hadn't chased her away! This is why he's so grateful for her. That makes him love her even more. She doesn't care about his past or creation or anything like that. She just stays!!

And when Rosie gets sad, Thunder goes into red alert panic mode. No, the wife cannot be sad! But what should he do?? But he tries so hard to step forward and be there for her, like she has been for him. Even if ts just sending supportive feelings through the bond, he does his best. And he's so grateful that it works because it just matters so much to him that he be the best husband he can be!!! Because he LOVES HER SO FREAKING MUCH!!!

They're otp, they really are, I just love them. I mean, maybe TC ventures into idolizing territory, and kinda puts her on a pedestal sometimes, but this is such a pure ship. Rosie mun tells me all the things Rosanna loves about TC and it's practically everything. Even how he snores, how he frequently chews with his mouth open, how scruffy his face and hair is in human form-- it's all cute to her!! No matter what his weight is, he's cute. She keeps giggling at his hiccups and he doesn't get it?? And mun tells me that no matter what feature we're talking about, she says Rosie thinks it's cute because it's HIM. Everything about TC is wonderful because it belongs to TC! I wish he'd understand that sooner, cuz that's exactly how he is with Rosanna's features. 

Even though I can come up with angsty AUs for them, I really believe these two will stay together forever. And they'll be dorky parents together and just be wonderful dorks for the rest of their lives. Their love will never die and it is strong enough to defeat evil. It is the most powerful thing in the universe. Yeah you can tell I'm getting really tired now. XD

Do you remember the episode/chapter/scene where you first started shipping 6? 

It was never any one episode that had me start shipping Claire and Mary. Rather, I started headcanoning Mary as a lesbian in “The Reckless Club”, and I began planning how I would use this as a character arc for her in my seasonal amulet au. I thought it would be funny if Claire were to react to Mary coming out to her as “if you had come out to me before Jim got the nerve to talk to me I would’ve asked you out because I had a crush on you for years.” I ended up transferring this hc to my view of the canon, that Claire has had an on-again off-again crush since sixth grade, and whether or not she gets over it is entirely dependent on what I’m writing.

What’s your favorite fanfiction for 4? 

My favorite Taakitz fanfic is Lup Cons a Goddess into Murdering her Brother (for fun and profit). Despite the title, it’s very sweet.

What’s your favorite fan art/picture for 2?

What’s your favorite headcanon for 1? 

I can’t think of a favorite so I’ll just share a headcanon that is a must to me for their relationship: their natural lifespans are about the same. Maybe they both age like regular humans, maybe Jim ages like a troll and Claire has an extended lifespan due to her magic. Either way, one won’t die of old age and the other has to live for centuries after them.

Though I have considered writing a sequel to I Will Learn to Let You Go (I Won't Let Go) whose premise is that Claire will have to outlive a human-again!Jim so she doesn’t have to watch Jim’s body rapidly degenerate in a maximum of 24 months.

What do you like most about the dynamic between the people of 7?

Just how well they work together. Like, Jim and Aja are one of my fave BROTP’s for Tales of Arcadia based on the one episode where they knew the truth about each other which is why I find it odd that I don’t like romantic Aj*m outside of a poly ship, and Jim and Claire definitely have worked well together. As for Aja and Claire, they haven’t interacted much in canon but there’s something about the scene where Aja supposedly hacks the power grid that tells me they’d work together well.

When 9 have sex is it more giggly or more serious?

I’m ace and not that interested in sex, so let me just say my only Glitradora NSFW headcanon is that Catra does something to her claws for safety.

It took me forvever to figure out the difference between “best chemistry” and “strongest bond”. I guess Jlairja or Taakitz?

Which ship do you spend the most time reading fanfiction for/talking/writing about?

Jlaire is definitely the top ship here. However, Taakitz is second for reading and Marynon is second for writing.

If 6 were to break up, how would it happen? 

Oof. Unfortunately, I could see the right combination of Mary’s past as a player, Claire’s perfectionism, and both of their self-esteem issues contributing to a messy breakup where Darci is trying to get them to remain friends so she isn’t awkwardly caught in the middle.

Between 3 and 8, who would last the longest if they were in a zombie apocalypse? 

On one hand, Krel might be immune to zombies. On the other, so might Nomura and more importantly, Barbara is a doctor. Thus, Barbmura > Kreli.

Does 7 hide their relationship, and if so, why?

They might hide it from Claire’s parents for a little bit, since I can see them being the least understanding between the various parental figures. However, I don’t think they’d really hide it anymore after Jim becomes a troll? Unless they decided to do something convoluted where it looks like Claire dumped Jim for the “human” Aja.

What is 9′s favorite date to go on? 

Do ice cream parlors exist in Etheria? Because I can see glitradora enjoying them.

What’s your favorite canon moment between 10? 

Uh... hm... Toby and Claire impersonating changelings at the Janus Order was pretty good.

How to best make use of the television.

If you had to pick an OTP which would you chose? 

Do I have to? Because I’d have to narrow it down to Taakitz, Jlaire, and Marynon.

What’s the biggest kink that 1 shares? 

Still ace, still not interested in sex, still 19 years old so this question is rather awkward for me... I guess Claire counts as a monsterfucker? And that’s not even NSFW, she definitely looks like she finds troll!Jim hot and even professed her love to him.

Do 8 want children?

Not particularly, though Krel and Eli will happily be uncles.

Between 10 and 4, which would you rather become canon? 

I mean, Taakitz already is canon, and I’d rather not have to deal with the breakup arcs w/in Tales of Arcadia for Claire and Toby to get together.

Does 2 do much PDA? And does it annoy their friends? 

Yes. Draal would like them to get a room, just because this basement belongs to your family doesn’t mean he can’t kick Jim, Toby, and Claire out. Mary finds it cute.

Which of the ships would you say is the most romantic with each other?

“I... was crazy about you, before some weird light told me a story about your one hundred year journey through existence where you were fighting for a century to save the world. I love you, Taako, and at this point, I think that everyone in reality is going to love you after hearing your story, and... nothing’s gonna change that.”

Yeah, I’m going to say that canonically they have the most romance, and the only reason why we didn’t get to watch Taako and Kravitz’s relationship develop more is because roleplaying a romance with your family member must be really awkward (and that is why all of my D&D characters don’t have a love interest.)

How would the proposal between 5 go? 

Do you know that one vid of the two sapphic ladies proposing to each other because at the zoo? Yeah, that’s how it goes between Mary and Shannon.

Who cooks more often in 3?

I’d say Nomura would make sure Barbara doesn’t get to cook for both their sakes, but since she’s stuck in troll form she might actually like Barbara’s cooking. That being said, whether or not Barbara likes Barbara’s cooking is another story.

You would think it’s Mingyu, but actually it’s Wonwoo! He’s one of those people who walks around a shopping mall and if he sees a thing that reminds him of Mingyu, like a small bear or a keychain, then he’ll walk in and get it, no fuss.

Mingyu though… he doesn’t know how to do little gifts. He only does big gifts. (Mingyu bought Wonwoo a human-sized Snorlax. It sits in the corner of their room and they like to use it as a bean bag.)

It’s… actually… Wonwoo… He’s a huge dork and he happens to think he’s hilarious. He doesn’t show it often, so he kind of goes crazy when he’s alone with Mingyu. He’s a nonstop pun machine and he’ll nearly brain himself laughing himself silly. He once laughed at his own joke so hard that he threw his head back against the wall and nearly knocked himself out. He’s so lucky Mingyu finds it endearing, honestly.

8. Who likes to ask random, off-topic questions with no prompting?

Honestly, both of them are equally as likely to do that. Mingyu does it because he has random thoughts about things and he just blurts them out. It’s the same with Wonwoo too, which is why they’re so well-suited to each other, because they’ll always take each other’s random questions seriously.

But Mingyu will still brulee Wonwoo if he wakes him up at 3am because he has another question about the universe. (”Mingyu, the moon isn’t gendered. It’s a floating hunk of space rock attracted to the Earth’s gravity. Mingyu, stop kicking me this is important.”)

10. Who finds it absolutely hilarious how ticklish the other is?

Wonwoo… he finds it absolutely hilarious how ticklish Mingyu can get. It’s only at that patch of skin under his ear, but even the slightest hint of a breath gets Mingyu going. He’ll just… collapse. Wonwoo thinks it’s amusing and likes to poke or nip at that spot at unexpected moments just to watch Mingyu’s helpless peals of laughter.

15. Who is constantly trying to prank the other?

Wonwoo – I’m kidding, I’m kidding. Mingyu likes to pull pranks on Wonwoo all the time, but they’re always really stupid pranks, like a whoopee cushion on his seat or a buzzer ring right before a handshake or hand-hold. If Mingyu was a little more immature, he would totally do the bucket of water over the bedroom door thing. (Mingyu once did the tape over a doorway prank. Wonwoo fell for it so hard. The entire group has a video of Wonwoo walking head first into the tape and screaming Mingyu’s name. Minghao still has that agonised scream as his message tone.)

JunHao

1. Who likes to buy little gifts for the other?

:3 Minghao is a slut for buying lil trinkets for Junhui. His favourite is when they’re overseas and he and Mingyu spend a day getting lost in the city, so they can take pretty pictures and spend way too much money on buying things for their boyfriends. Mingyu always ends up splurging a lot of money on one big item, while Minghao will gift Junhui with two or three different small trinkets that Junhui will use/can bring around with him wherever he goes.

Minghao is a secretly sentimental hoe and you’ll have to pry this cute lil headcanon from my cold, dead hands.

4. Who cracks themselves up with their own dumb jokes?

Is this even a question. We all know it’s Junhui, because he thinks he’s hilarious and whatever joke he just spouted is god-tier comedy. He thinks that Gag Concert will be calling him in any day now for a comedy skit, because he’s that funny. Minghao is Done™ with him, but he still loves him. That doesn’t mean he won’t kick Junhui to the sun if he has to hear another dirty limerick.

8. Who likes to ask random, off-topic questions with no prompting?

It’s Minghao! Mostly because sometimes Minghao hardcore zones out of the conversation and snaps back when he has a serious question to ask. And I use the term serious very loosely.

“And Soonyoung almost kicked my nuts into my body,” Junhui says happily as he works out a knot on Minghao’s back.

Minghao grunts, turning his head slightly. “Do you think snakes know they don’t have arms?”

“What.”

“No, seriously. Do you think they know?”

“Were you even listening to a single word that was coming out of my mouth.”

“Gege. The snakes. Arms. Do they know?”

“I’m breaking up with you.”

10. Who finds it absolutely hilarious how ticklish the other is?

Minghao is… very ticklish. Like, very. It’s mostly his tummy and his hips, but it’s game over when anyone decides to tickle him. Mingyu once sat on Minghao while Seokmin tickled him. Mingyu and Seokmin both got beat up, because a tickled Minghao is a Minghao that will attack. 95 line collectively agrees that Seokmin deserved that bite, but Mingyu getting kneed in the groin might’ve been overkill.

Junhui had watched the entire thing unfold. He even has a video of the entire thing. It’s shaky and the only thing you can hear is Minghao’s outraged laughing and Junhui’s cackling.

15. Who is constantly trying to prank the other?

Let’s be real, they’re both trying to prank each other all the time. It’s out of love, but it’s also out of boredom. They’re two Chinese boys who were encouraged by a bunch of Korean boys to let loose and have fun, but they forget that JunHao are (1) very competitive and (2) have no concept of shame. Minghao will take an ugly picture and print it out so he can post it all over the dorm. Junhui will take one of Minghao’s many precious Kermits and bleach it so it looks like some horrible, white-patched frog from hell. There is no end – only pranks.

Seungkwan is a sentimental boy and he’s constantly buying bracelets or charms for Hansol’s backpacks because he loves to lavish Hansol in love and attention. Hansol’s a little embarrassed because he’s not so good at buying gifts, but Seungkwan’s constantly assuring him that it’s Hansol’s actions that he cares about. Seungkwan buys Hansol small gifts because he wants to, not because he’s expecting anything in return. Hansol repays Seungkwan in kisses and the occasional foot rub anyway.

4. Who cracks themselves up with their own dumb jokes?

Hansol thinks he’s hilarious. He can never finish his jokes because he’s too busy laughing about it. It exasperates Seungkwan, but he also finds it adorable because he loves seeing Hansol laugh so hard he can’t sit up straight.

8. Who likes to ask random, off-topic questions with no prompting?

Hansol. He just... he has random thoughts, because his train of thought runs on a zig-zaggy line that can go anywhere at any one point in time. He also doesn’t see any problem in just blurting out whatever he’s thinking. As someone who’s usually very blunt, Seungkwan appreciates that Hansol doesn’t feel like he needs to mince words or hold back, even if it’ll interrupt whatever Seungkwan is talking about.

10. Who finds it absolutely hilarious how ticklish the other is?

Seungkwan... is very ticklish and very loud about it. Hansol once accidentally brushed Seungkwan’s sensitive side while they were making out. Seungkwan screamed and pushed Hansol off the bed. He was very sorry about it... up until Hansol went in for another tickle that almost made Seungkwan pee himself. Seungkwan loves Hansol, but he won’t hesitate to karate chop him in the throat when Hansol tickles him.

15. Who is constantly trying to prank the other?

Seungkwan! He’s always... pranking Hansol. Always. Sometimes Hansol gets it and that’s okay – Seungkwan won’t hesitate to drop the joke and soothe Hansol’s confusion. Seungkwan’s pranks don’t always work, but Hansol has the patience of a saint. Not to mention the pranks always go over his head.

One time, Seungkwan put salt in Hansol’s coffee. Hansol’s coffee ended up being switched with Jihoon’s. It was a bad day for everyone.

Kyosaya OneShot

Figured I should try another of my otps. I’m trying another fic type so its very experimental and hope I did it some justice! The song in the fic is Play That Song by Train. I was just listening to it one day and got hit with the idea for this fic. Enjoy!

It couldn’t get any worse, could it?. First of all, a certain pink-haired individual had been too caught up in some family matter to come to school, and her other supposed best friend was too busy with her boyfriend. There was a test she was pretty sure she bombed due to a lack of studying accommodating for her nightly activities, plus she dropped her lunch at the cafeteria, leaving her starving for most of the day. She was chewed out by a teacher in front of her classmates for being a minute late to class after said lunch, oh and have she mentioned forgetting to bring her homework and ended up staying behind to do it? It wasn't the end of the world, but it sure damn sucked.

Sayaka finally stepped relievedly into her apartment, her eyes glancing around as she stretched. It was one of the high-end residences in town, and it was supposedly her home. Comfortable was the word to describe her life growing up, but not necessarily happy. While understanding her parents having to work constantly and appreciative of Madoka's company, more often than not she wished sometimes they could be around more often. Sighing, her feet bounded towards the fridge to pick out a box of juice and poured herself a glass.

Tv or a nap? ,she thought. Well, i guess ei-

"Whats up?"

What was in her mouth was now everywhere when the very, very familiar voice spoke up. Coughing, she placed her glass on the kitchen counter before the temptation to throw it at the owner became too strong.

"Kyoko! Couldn't you greet like a normal person? Ring the doorbell, wait for me to open the door, and THEN say "Whats up"?"

"Oooo well, your window was open so uhh force of habit? " Kyoko snickered as she took a dry napkin near the kitchen basin to wipe up the mess on the floor she inadvertently created. Its the least she could do for scaring her.

"Having a swell day?"

A sigh came as she fetched another cloth to join her.

"You have no idea, I'm pretty sure the universe is trying to make me as miserable as possible today. And our night patrols haven't even started"

"Sounds rough"

"Urgghh its been weeks now, and you'd think Hitomi would stop being so clingy and start hanging out with me more"

"You sure you're not just jealous?"

"Kyoko"

"Alright, alright I was just kidding"

"...Urghhh, let's not talk about it, or my day really. It's giving me a headache as it is"

She stood up as they cleaned the last of it and Kyoko handed her the napkin she used.  

"What brings you here anyway?" she asked as she headed over to the basin.

"Oh...I thought we could go somewhere to hang out and then meet the others at night?"

"Kyoko I don't think now is the right time" The napkins in her hands wetted as the automatic sensors detected and turned the tap on." I just feel like watching boring tv or rest for a while"

"Oh come on, we haven't hung out in a while"

"I know...but just not today?" She placed the rags aside before facing back to her with an apologetic smile.

Kyoko just raised an eyebrow in response, shortly followed by a smirk across her cheeks.

"Let me borrow your phone' And promptly took it from her pocket

"Hey, Kyoko what are you-"

"Calm down, princess, trust me here for a sec here will you?

A beep indicated her phone was connected to the apartment speakers as Kyoko tapped on the screen before a pleasant song played out. Placing it on the counter, her hand extended to Sayaka.

"Dance with me"

"What? Kyoko I don't feel like-"

Rolling her eyes, Kyoko grabbed Sayaka's hands and started shimmying her shoulders to the beat.

"Come on Sayaka, it'll be fun"

She still stared at her nonplussed, her arms remaining limp in her grip. But Kyoko was anything but persistent and started to sing along.

She said, play that song

The one that makes me go all night long, if you know what I mean" prompting Sayaka to snort and playfully slap her shoulder. Kyoko took her hand again, intertwining their fingers this time while looking intently into the azure eyes as she resumed her singing, her body swinging sideways.

Kyoko could see the edges of Sayaka' lips curling up, her cheeks reddening just a bit as her feet began shuffling along to the music.

My girl just heard this song and you should play it 'cause she loves it  Kyoko chose this moment to land a quick peck on Sayaka's forehead, causing her to giggle.

Sayaka's initial reluctance was gradually chipped away as her body responded even more at Kyoko's infectious enthusiasm and goofy moves to the chorus once more. 

"Looks like you got some moves there."

"Kyoko, this is hardly dancing"

"Yea it's fine. Not everybody can be as good as me"

"Ohh you dork" But she broke out in stitches when Kyoko suddenly held their interlocked hands out and wrapped her arms around her lower back to pull her close, before swaying their hips in wide arc comically.

Kyoko eventually settled Sayaka down, both her hands still on her waist. A pair of arms circle around Kyoko's neck and their bodies rocked gently against each other while the song finished its course, their heads inching closer.  

Her woeful day behind her now, Sayaka's eyes softened at the girl in front of her. Kyoko was smiling, not her usual smirks, but actual genuine smiles that were mostly reserved for her, and the little fang she always had amplifying her its already adorable factor. Her fiery eyes were especially gentle, the red pupils swimming with so much emotion. The music had changed into one of a slower tone, and Sayaka shifted to rest her head on Kyoko's green jacket. Even in its ratty state, Kyoko always wore it well, but it's her scent more than anything that always filled her with a sense of peace in their crazy lives. Their impromptu dance turned into a slow waltz, and Kyoko stopped her singing to hum instead, her cheek leaning on the warm weight on her shoulder but never breaking their rhythmic trance.

"Kyoko...."Sayaka finally leaning back to gaze at her affectionately."....Thank you"

"Don't mention it, I just don't like seeing you upset"

"Huh, that's pretty romantic coming from you, and you’re a hopeless slob"

“Hey, even a slob has her charms. I got you after all didn't I?

Instead of responding, she tilted her head and gave her a brief kiss. As expected, Kyoko's face colored to the same tint as her hair.

"What makes you think you got me? Pretty sure it’s the other way around, considering how much of a blushing mess you are" Sayaka grinned.

"......Shut up"

"Awwww just say that you-hmmpp"

Kyoko had returned to her lips, most probably to stop her teasing, but she melted into it anyways.

For now, at least, magical girls and wraiths be damned. They stayed that way for a long moment, unwilling to separate. The background music that had enveloped the house was all but forgotten, and taking its place, was the sweet, sweet feeling of home.

Rainy recommends Kdramas

So I was slightly encouraged to make a kdrama rec list and, of course, I went overboard and went and wrote a long-ass list, but if it helps even one person, I will be happy. Besides, it’s excuse for me to rant about dramas I love and you know I can’t pass that up.

This list will be divided in multiple parts because I am a troubled watched. The titles will explain. (Genres I’ve written as per my opinion and are listed in alphabetic order cause I can’t decide how to do it otherwise, and dramas are too.) I also stopped added humor genre because most of these dramas have a fair share of humor and kept the tag only for the ones that felt purposely humor-made.

Disclaimer: This list is purely my opinion and I will not fight anyone who dislikes any drama listed here and I hope you will not fight with me. Or unfollow me. #awkward laughter. Also let it be noted I have at least one issue with each of these dramas, I do not proclaim anything perfect.

Kdramas I’ve 100% watched

Goblin Drama - Fantasy - Romance There seems to be only people who love it to pieces or quite profoundly dislike it. Obviously, I belong to the first group. It’s a visually stunning story that draws you in, makes you laugh your heart out and then sets it on fire. I tagged this as drama for a reason! In a way, it’s story of humankind, both at its worst and best. It’s a story of 300+ year old men being total adorable dorks. Of love and friendships that can be lost in twists of fate, but transcend a lifetime. It comes with 2 OTPs and no love triangles in conventional sense, OST that might blow your mind in best way and cinematography that takes breath away. Beware if your squick is visual age difference, though!! If not, watch away and beware: (lots of) tears may be shed.

Go Ho’s Starry Night Office Romance - Romance - Slice of Life A short and lovely watch that may surprise you. It tears into such topics as sexism, bigotry, prejudices and others, while not being too in your face about it.  As I once said,  It has all the good things of romcoms, but somehow pretty much deals with the fallout what would come with one. What’s more, it appeals to my love of jerks with heart of gold trope, in most pleasant way. Entertaining fun that isn’t all empty.

Hello Monster / I Remember You Crime - Family - Drama - Romance Though I added romance tag, this is just a side factor in grand scheme of things, though it does not feel forced and is emotionally satisfying. This is story of mistakes, of losing and finding what matters, of situations where there is no right answer. One of my greatest draws to this series was the acting, especially by three important men. Psychos that are so charismatic it hurts. Ambiguous good guys. All that good stuff.

It’s Okay, That’s Love Drama - Medical (sort of) - Psychological - Romance It’s not spoken of much and I feel the need to always rectify that, because while it might not be the most accurate portrayal of mental health care or even these issues, for me, while it might end up brushing over the end of some plot points a little too easily, there were many things that screamed deep and personal to me, that made me cry again and again as I stayed up till 5am to watch the final episodes because I could not stop anymore. Perhaps it’s one of those hits-one-in-a-hundred watch, but do give it a try, move past the eyeroll of first episodes and the male lead you may dislike (or female). What’s more, the acting is amazing and it’s chockfull with lovable side characters that have/create great and meaningful relationships and friendships.

Kill Me, Heal Me Drama -  Psychological - Romance What can I say, this drama is an experience on its own. It may lack in psychological accuracy and the female lead may seem like a screeching harpy at the start, but overall it’s very emotional ride with amazing acting and made me feel and cry quite a bit. At one point, if certain song came on, I knew I’d probably cry! But it’s not all sadness and gloom, in fact there’s so much humor and funny moments they’re brought up through drama cracks years later. And the male lead’s acting may just floor you. 7 (!) different characters and they all truly feel different, grow and change subtly.

Shopping King Louis Humor - Romance - Slice of Life Definitely a feel-good watch of chaebol (rich heir) and girl from countryside living in the capital and navigating the difficulties together. It’s cute, wacky and all around adorable, until it suddenly makes you quiver lip a little. It’s easy, sugary brain food and sometimes we need just that. (+ Male lead is played by same actor as in Hello Monster and the vast differences between characters are likely to wow you.)

Splash Splash Love Fantasy - Historical - Romance -  Time Travel If you want to spend 2 hours with easy, lovable watch, this may just be your thing. I heard a lot of positive feedback about it and thought it couldn’t be that great, but somehow it was! Pretty costumes? Check. Time Traveling? Check. Modern gadget shenanigans in historical era? Check. Sweet and troubled love? Check. Happy ending? Check. Don’t expect it to answer all your questions, it won’t, but face value of it is still worth it!

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo College/High School  - Romance  - Slice of Life My first drama and I would suggest it as first to watch for others, too. While the humor and even the characters may make you roll your eyes sometime, the theme of growing up and dealing with new and old wounds is handled with love and wiseness of heart. The eventual couple is amazing sorta enemies to friends to lovers trope embodiment and absolutely adorable. It’s a feel-good watch, until angst comes and smacks you in the face, and then you’re crying and healing along with the characters. The acting is excellent, it’s visually beautiful and there’s something charming about it. Give it a try, even if slice of life and college content isn’t your cup of tea. They aren’t mine either.

Kdramas I’ve not 100% finished, but I have watched most of it + finished with gifs, meta and clips and am still absolutely recommending and 100% plan to finish when I am emotionally and physically capable

20th Century Boy and Girl Friendship - Romance  - Slice of Life A drama lot of people ‘slept’ on because it was so quiet and subtle in some ways, and perhaps the writer was not quite sure what to do with it in the end, stretching some things far too long and not even delivering an upgrade, but... Somehow, I like(d) it a lot. So, so, so much. The female friendship of it made my heart soar, the gently blossoming romances made me physically grin so much it hurt and there were so many good, unusual dynamics about it you don’t usually see in a kdrama. If you’re in for a boat ride down a beautiful, slow and wide river where sometimes there’s a sudden bump with group of wonderful friends, this may be drama for you.

Because This is My First Life Friendship - Subtle Drama - Romance - Slice of Life Another girl friendship story. Well, it’s not just about girl friendship, but without it, the story wouldn’t be half of what it was. For me, this drama hit a lot personal spots, with our girls who are 30, but are still looking for their way in life and getting lost and finding themselves. It’s gentle, painful and reassuring all at once, there are tropes and then they’re flipped on the head in most amazing ways. The romance is slow and strange and pretty much wonderful. Maybe the characterization suffers a little in the end, but overall, I think when I do finish it, I will be satisfied and moved and feel like it was fitting conclusion for characters whose stories are in quite unique. And by this, I don’t mean just our main couple, but essentially the whole supporting cast, even rather minor characters!

School 2017 Friendship - High School - Romance - Slice of Life I am not one for high school stuff, and I don’t know when I will properly watch and finish this, but I do know I want to. Why? Because it gives me lovely characters with issues both on the superficial and deep level, fitting and transcending age group the characters are in. It’s well acted and has lovely friendships, a cute romance that is right up my alley, as it’s boy goes from fight me @ world to smitten kitten for his girl and also a lovely story of finding yourself as you grow up.

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon Fantasy/Superpowers - Humor - Romance This is a problematic favorite of mine, personally.  You won’t stick with this drama for plot, but you may for an OTP that consists of kookie, super strong girl and rich CEO who hires her to be his bodyguard because he’s already 10 feet in love with her despite his denial. It’s the ‘powerful women and pretty boys who would die for them’ trope incarnate, the heartgame is so strong you feel it through the screen. And yes, there are issues with side characters, with consistency, too many jokes about pee and so forth, but if you want any of what’s mentioned above + some feels, this may be for you.

Suspicious Partner Crime - Romance This drama may have benefited from being few episodes shorter and better pacing of romantic and crime story lines, but overall, it’s one that’s likely to draw you in and feel for the characters. It’s not just the main couple that are straight up adorable, especially when they can get beyond that I’m distancing/hiding things for your safety/happiness point, but plenty of interesting side characters with meaningful relationships and stories to tell. Besides, the acting’s wonderful and Ji Wook is one of most likable and considerate male leads (other than hiding things aspect) I’ve ever seen in kdrama (or anywhere). His confession speech is just, #swoon.

While You Were Sleeping Crime - Fantasy - Romance It’s a drama that started strong and then puttered out some, but if you’re in for a story that once again asks questions ‘what would you do if you saw future’ and gives it’s own kind of answers, this may be for you. It’s got interesting characters, cute romance and lovely friendships are made along the way, as they struggle with some truly difficult problems of morality and otherwise.

Things I have started, kept up with via media and have mixed feelings about, but still kind of am fascinated by, so I suggest you give them a try

Black (tagged on my blog as OCN Black so there’s no mistags) Crime - Fantasy - Romance (??) Personal Status - Unfinished, plan to finish It’s a wild mess, but intriguing one. I did not get further than 4 eps yet, but I do plan to try. The acting is pretty good, the story’s very twisted and I have heard mixed reactions to the way its solved, but it strays so far from anything I’ve ever watched I can’t help but be kind of drawn to it. It’s got tons of gory and/or disgusting moments, though, as its humor kind of rides on that, so be warned.

Tomorrow With You Drama - Time Travel - Psychological - Romance Personal Status - Unfinished, but plan to finish This one is a strange one, because it’s slow and with awkward push and pull dynamics, but and at the same time, that’s what makes it so real it hurts. You might want to punch some senses in characters at times, but that’s how we just are, especially if we are as troubled and traumatized as our leads. It’s a story of learning, growing as a person and healing and perhaps, if it was that, I’d be done with it and added it to the bottom list, but the eventual crime aspect felt jarring to me and I got frustrated with that story line and lost part of confidence my questions could be answered and whole drama wrapped up well. It’s just so emotionally and psychologically meaty and good otherwise, I am afraid to head into disappointment. But one day, I will wrap it up and judge for myself. W / W of Two Worlds Drama - Fantasy - Romance Personal Status - Unfinished, plan to finish Perhaps the one drama I ruined watching of to myself because of spoilers and now I can’t bear to watch the rest, unsure if I will be part of love or hate group (another one to divide the followers very deeply). What I can say, though, is that I loved the start of it, it really doesn’t hesitate to surprise you and make you think, especially if you are any sort of content creator. Very likely to make you Feel at some point.

How I feel about this character

Ryuu is so important!! I like how he embraces both his masculine and feminine sides without shame (talking like a god damn thug and being such a Macho Man World Wide Love Leader who gets All the Ladies vs. shamelessly referring to himself as cute, confidently showing off in skirts and tiny shorts and loving everything pink). He tries so hard to be cool but is honestly just adorable, but it’s ok, being adorable is fine with him too!! He’s also really emotional and easily excited, even if not to the same extent as Yumoto, it’s great.

I’m a bit concerned about how he treats his girls after the date (does he say a nice goodbye or just ditch them? does he keep the contact info if he doesn’t want a second date??) and if he’s actually comfortable there, he’s said girls are annoying and he prefers time with his guy friends and likes taking three girls out at a time so they can chat among themselves, like honey what is your role there?? Are you a decoration??? The game gave a glimpse on his flirting habits and he really does play the role of this cool guy with girls, no wonder he gets exhaustedafter a while :L Ryuu is just a hotheaded simple-minded dork and a cutie-pie I wish he’d see there’s value in that and he doesn’t need to pretend.

My unpopular opinion about this character

I think people sometimes gloss over how mean Ryuu can be. He probably doesn’t mean (much) harm but he speaks before he thinks and can sometimes be a bit rude. I kinda feel like getting screenshots now but I should have went to bed an hour ago (it’s not late but I’m tired) so maybe not but remember how he outright told the pretty boy monster that an ugly guy would be ugly no matter what? The shit he sometimes says to Yumoto? I wouldn’t say it’s a defining character trait but Ryuu has his douchy moments.

SO MANY OH MY GOD. I had high hopes for the son. A childhood flashback is on the top of that list but he shares that wish with Io just like everything else don’t try anything and it would have been great to see him rock a skirt in the anime or manga too and not just the game!

Everyone who’s seen my Ibushi posts and tags and commentary must be Tired™ of hearing me go on and on about game!Ibushi and especially his love end but listen... Game Ibushi is the best Ibushi because he is an absolute sweetie (did i mention he usually refers to himself as ‘ore’ but in the game it’s always ‘boku’ when the mc is present?? it’s like they’re pandering to me personally), apologizes when Kinshiro and Akoya are being rude, gives Protag-chan his jacket when she’s soaked from the rain and kinshiro tore her jacket off *cough* and all ,but he’s also a flirty, teasy, mischievous, at times passive-aggressive piece of shit it’s infuriating as much as it is endearing, and I can see that side of him in the anime and manga too if I squint (thank you ova... kinshiro even called him out and asked whose side he’s on after he was snarky and he just went “yours of course, kinshiro :)” yes the smiley is included in the line how charming) so in short it’s that while I agree he is a very good boy who’s absolutely loyal and just wants peace and everyone to be happy and comfortable, he’s more of a sinnamon roll than a complete cinnamon roll.

But honestly I 100% admit that I’m anything but objective and put far more emphasis than reasonable on this one aspect of his personality

Well see, in my head Jaspid absolutely happens before Gwen; they were engaged when she met them, so I have a hard time imagining that they’d just … like, not get married. So I assume Jasper proposed to David. They’d been talking about it forever, but David’s a fucking spaz and was way too nervous to actually do it, so eventually Jasper had to summon all of his not-inconsiderable charm and make it happen. (Gwen attends the wedding. She’s … kinda their girlfriend but also kinda in a weird place about knowing if she wants in on this crazy family, so it’s a bit bittersweet for all of them. But damn if those two dumb boys aren’t adorable the day of; David cries excessively, and Jasper mostly just … bounces. Everywhere. All the time. He’s too excited to stay in one place.)

Obviously polyamory isn’t really a legal thing, so they can’t marry her even after they’re all a big cuddle puddle. And Gwen makes a very big deal about how she doesn’t like weddings, they’re a waste of time and money and she never planned on getting married anyway, but … well, she’s not as good a liar as she thinks she is. 

Which is why when Nerris, Max’s delightful girlfriend of like 4-5 years, goes out on a shopping trip with Gwen (they’re close. They’re the only girls in the family, they have to be close) and she points out a cute little knee-length dress and says wistfully that she would’ve worn something like that if she’d ever gotten married, Nerris immediately talks her into buying it and gives Max a heart attack by texting him “we have to talk.”

What they have to talk about, of course, is weddings. (This is Max’s second heart attack, because he thinks she’s proposing. It takes a few minutes to drag him back from the brink of terror.) It’s a whole big surprise thing – which Max insists is a terrible idea because Gwen hates surprises, but Jasper’s caught up in the scheming and David’s too much of a romantic to let the idea die. Of course, Jasper’s ideas are all kind of terrible — he has the most aggressively bad taste and will sacrifice sincerity for a joke 8 times out of 10 — and David’s are unrealistic (“No, Dad, we can’t have doves fly out from under everyone’s chairs because then they’d poop on everything. And we’re not hiring Harrison just for a stupid dove trick!”), which means that Max and Nerris do the vast majority of the planning, being the only practical adults in the room.

Nerris talks Gwen into wearing her pretty white dress and having a girl’s day, and when they arrive at this dinky little community center that’s all but closed down, Gwen gets “married” to the two dorks she’s been dating for well over half a decade.

She tells them they’re all idiots, and absolutely does not cry. (Nope, not even if you look close, get out of her face especially with that fucking camera, Max!) There’s a lot of dancing, even more drinking. All the campers show up, which is both embarrassing and extremely sweet. 

Speaking of … all three of them get spectacularly drunk, and are a combination of embarrassing and extremely sweet. Max and Nerris become designated babysitters.

(I hope I got all this right; @hopefullypessimistic84 and I came up with this idea approximately 2 million years ago and it’s hard to remember all the details. I just remember it being very cheesy in the best way.)

Jasper! David insists on coming along so he can sneak junk food into the cart, and Gwen insists on staying home because she’s not refereeing that fucking battle every goddamn week, for Christ’s sake. Besides, it’s the only time they’re all out of the house so she can enjoy her trash TV in peace.

Jasper’s too afraid to go near them, and so usually it’s David having to rescue them from Gwen, who’s merciless. He has to scramble to get it safely outside before she gets there because she has zero patience for the things and will make them very very Dead.

I … don’t know, honestly? I mean, Gwen definitely used to do that, but I feel like she’d be very over that scene by the time she gets with her boys. Jasper would probably enjoy it every now and then, and I’m sure he could talk Gwen into it. And where they go … David will of course follow. So I’d say if they do it it’s all 3 of them, they make a total mess of themselves, and swear never to do it again. It’s like an annual thing, if that. Not frequent.

Jasper! He’s the only one who’s willing to put in that kinda effort.

David, hands down. He also sings to them every morning and tells them how pretty their scales are. Gwen can’t remember their names, and neither can Jasper but he refuses to admit it so he just makes up ridiculous nicknames for them.

It’s a David-Jasper tag team affair. David makes it look like it belongs to an 80-year-old woman, and Jasper adds hideously tacky ornaments at every available opportunity.

Jasper will sing whether you want him to or not. Especially if you don’t want him to. He can usually rope David into singing with him, but Gwen only sings when she’s confident no one can hear her.

Huh … probably Gwen? I think Hope and I headcanon both Jasper and David as having insomnia to a degree, so Jasper tends to stay up watching cartoons until he’s comatose and David … usually just lies awake in bed and looks out the window, thinking.

I think this must be a close race. Jasper sends really ridiculous ones, Gwen likes the validation that she’s hot so she sends them whenever she’s feeling either confident or insecure, and David … actually, now that I think of it I imagine David’s less likely to take pictures of himself than of random things he finds pretty, so while he texts as many pictures, they aren’t selfies very often, more like “look at this flower!” and “this duck reminds me of you!”

makes the first move

Depends what the move is. If it’s a serious conversation or important moment, it’s probably Jasper who’s brave enough to initiate (Gwen would just avoid it for as long as humanly possible, and David would flutter anxiously, start to bring it up about 17 times, and then give up and deflate into a puddle of sad man). Something heartwarming and “let’s talk about our feelings!” is all David – especially if it’s not his feelings they’re talking about. Sex? That’s Gwen all the way. In terms of romantic gestures like going on dates or whatever, it probably varies based on who gets the idea – though Gwen usually likes to pass the responsibility of actually coming up with plans onto one of the others, because she hates the pressure to have it go well.

Gwen’s the most likely to shoot him down, and Jasper’s probably the one who’s both creative and practical enough to find some sort of middle ground, that halfway gets what David had planned without completely destroying their bank accounts/personal lives/sanity.

Why I joined the fandom: Actually I became part of the MKR fandom just in this summer. I have read MKR since I was 8-9 years old. in fact, it was my first manga that I remember I read and had, together with sailor moon, a huge influence on my drawing style back then(can still even now find some small traces from then on my current art). But I never joined its fandom, until I found it here. It’s for nostalgia and an awakened love for this manga that made me decide to join the fandom.

I can’t exactly remember the date, but I know it was around May that I finally threw the towel, gave up, and created this mostly OUAT/CS sideblog! SO HERE WE ARE! ONE YEAR LATER! Y’all make the Tumblr experience for me, with your writing (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), your art, your gifs, and everything in between, meta, FANGIRLING, etc etc etc.

I do not know many of you, but I definitely know of a bunch of you through my dash and every time a new fic is posted or an awesome piece of art or words about JUST HOW CAPTAINSWAN IS THE BEST OTP ON THE PLANET (lol), it totally makes my day!

So without further ado (aka, my endless rambling lol) here’s this….whatever this is, but I think it’s my APPRECIATION POST to you beautiful beans!
