Engaging in verbal passive-aggressive conversations with each other is actually very entertaining passtime. This is why their post-Robobot\pre-Star Allies interactions are so fun to me: this is a very shaky ground, riddled with mutual loathing. Susie, who really isn't doing very well after Max dying (technically her fault) and getting the CEO's status to pressure her. Also not actually processing her trauma in AD, but repressing it along with most of her emotions. And MK with his wounded pride, who is frustrated with himself first and foremost. And genuinely not trusting the new CEO of intergalactic corporation, which is kinda valid

I guess I just love the trope of "this evil\annoying person you preserve them as, turns out to be not so evil/annoying"

First of all, it's the way he's so protective of her. You can see this in episodes like The Curse of Princess Ivy (where he stands in front of Sofia and Amber in a protective fashion). Cedric rushed to save Sofia in In Cedric We Trust, caring about her safety more than his own. He's quite concerned over her safety at several points in the show, jumping in to protect or save her.

Also: Cedric and Sofia had a lot more sweet moments together than Roland and Sofia (even though Cedric is the "villain"). Some of their them are also similar to scenes with Sofia and Roland, like Cedric putting the amulet around Sofia's neck in Forever Royal, which parallels the way King Roland the same thing at the end of The Amulet of Avalor.

There's also the way he looks so proud of her when she does something, such as in Cedric's Apprentice when Sofia shows him her grade in the sorcery test!

Sure, you could interpret these scenes (and others) as simply "friendship", but with the way he acts at times, he seems to think of her more like family. Even with all his childishness, he does act a lot like a protective father.

I'm sorry but where did this Cedric being Sofia's father figure come from?

As far as I remember, Sofia was always the mature and assertive one between the two of them. And he's always the immature and childish one. Sofia even scolds Cedric at times lol.

Cedric could barely take care of himself and even mistreats wormwood at times, what makes him such a father figure material?

after getting the shit beat out of him on multiple occasions, confronted by the mafia, also on multiple occasions, multiple instances of attempted murder, I think that Phoenix deserves to be forced to be a little kickass. Like he worked at a shady restaurant and wins poker games against people who are drunk and probably more than willing to kick the shit out of him all the time, there's no way that he wouldn't be able to defend himself in some way. Maybe Trucy taught him how to throw knives or something and I know he's a funny indestructible punching bag of a guy but come on... I think at least for his daughter's sake he should at least know how to handle a gay little knife or something.

i understand part of the rage at two crossovers and bison already being back, people wanted the big faves to come back like the sf3 cast in general, cody, menat, etc

and also when it comes to growing rosters and what characters get in, you gotta get used to the odd choices and potential disappointment, this is why the smash dlcs still worked even with characters like piranha plant and min-min, so i was kinda surprised by all the anger on twitter, and it was genuinely hurting my own hype because yeah i didn't think bison should've been added this early either, but since he is here now anyways, it's time to deep analyze on what they could do with this, because they could prove JP to be the bigger bad if they play their cards right

It dawns on me that the journey to the west took 5,040 days exactly, right, and while the book goes from tribulation to tribulation, there were still only 81 of those. And they were missing one when they got there. And some of the tribulations Tripitaka went through happened before the journey even started.

So, even being generous and saying that most of the tribulations that occurred during the actual journey could be said to have taken a few days to handle each, that's still only about 10% of the journey. A tribulation was anything that happened that put Tripitaka in danger or presented any sort of obstacle to him. Anything even remotely exciting would have fallen into that ~10%, and nothing else could have happened, because otherwise they wouldn't have gotten west one moderate inconvenience and/or major trauma short of the prize. (I mean, unless the thing that happened managed to not involve Tripitaka at all in any way, but that's very hard to do when you are all attached at the hip.)

Holy cow they really were just walking. ALL THAT TIME. No wonder Zhu Bajie was stirring the pot at any given opportunity. It was literally the only thing to do.
