This took a few days to put together but is so worth it!! I'm very happy with how it turned out!

Some lore on MetaMari, Marionette started work at Castle DDD when she first arrived! This takes place before she and MK started to hangout until they slowly start to date!

I may write and show MK as smooth and know what he's doing, but truth be told: He doesn't know what he's doing at all and he was a shy lil thing! He still gets easily flustered sometimes!

I write MetaMari starting off as being a slow burn as I felt MK wouldn't fall in love so easily considering his vague past (most of the fandom, including myself make up a majority of it from the bits and pieces that came from the anime). Heck he wouldn't recognize it all that well until like. Last minute. Being a War Veteran and Military Lord can occupy your mind!

As for Marionette, she did recognize she liked MK, yet also struggled to understand what it meant to fall for somone! I haven't completely revealed her past just yet, but I will say she did not grow up in an environment where Love was present. And the time she spend when she was finally able to leave that environment to burn, she only just started to experience her own emotions.

I like to think as the two continued to hangout mutually, they start to learn what it means to have such an attachment to someone else.

Of course their are different types of relationships they also came to learn and understand, even welcome them! Like friendship, mentor/student, admiration, ect.

But yeah!! Kirby already could pick up on the attachment Meta and Mari have, so he goes and tries to put them together cause he likes seeing his MetaDad happy! Course, said MetaDad would attempt to stop the child, but the child is a perseverer!

On Mari and Kirby's relationship, and I really should doodle/write about it more, Marionette grew quickly to become Kirby's surrogate mother! She would play with him and the other kids if they asked, make them lunches and snacks, sing for them, study with them, ect.! More will be revealed as I continue to work on this!
