there's three different kinds of metatextual canon in house md. there's the deeply necessary: for example, house's limp is necessary because it serves as both a character beat and explanation for a lot of house's character and story: it would not be the same show without it. it could not be removed from the show without changing the show fundamentally. the second type is the "character beats that improve the show but do not necessarily need to be there. for example, beats like wilson having three ex wives could be removed or replaced: while it's a telling character beat and a good one, it is not necessary to the dna of the show. wilson could be a serial dater, or have never married, or have had just one divorce, without his character or the show changing all that much around it. and then there are things that are not necessary and do not add plot or character dimension but are so perfect that it's as though they were placed into the show's dna from on high, like the fact that the whole fucking thing is set in new jersey.

Off Limits | Gojo Satoru
Student!Gojo Satoru x New Student!Reader
Summary: There was only one rule at Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School: Don't Fall In Love With Satoru Gojo.
Tags: Gender neutral reader. Fluff. Only read once. Canon compliant.
Words: 2150 words.
A/N: I had this old wip, sitting around. Better post it than not lol
There was only one rule at Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School. One simple rule that you had to follow if you wanted to have a peaceful student life. A simple rule that all students had to follow to avoid unnecessary fights. A simple rule that seemed ridiculous until you saw who it was about. That simple rule was: Don't fall in love with Gojo Satoru.
“Don't fall in love with Gojo Satoru,” your desk mate warned you on the first day of school. You were already confused and scared about entering a sorcery school, now you were being warned by your own classmates. That gave you a bad impression of the school environment. “If you fall in love, they'll break your bones and your heart.” You swallowed hard.
Satoru Gojo. Besides being the sole member of the Gojo Clan, there were many rumors circulating as to why he was at the Tokyo campus and not Kyoto’s, like the vast majority of powerful sons of the most important sorcery clans. Throughout the hallways, they said that it was because he constantly fought against the seniors at the neighboring school. Others said it was because he had made out with all the girls in his class. Evil tongues said it was because he was so powerful that he had accidentally killed a student, but being the head of the Gojo Clan, no one did anything.
What was a fact was that everyone avoided him to avoid confirming any of the rumors. The boys avoided him because they didn't want to fight with a semi god, and the girls avoided him so they would not have to fight within each other for him. The only ones who talked to him directly were the teachers and his best friend, Suguru Geto.
Even though no one approached him, everyone looked at him. He was a hot topic every time he deigned to come to class. Just by looking at him, you understood that this simple rule was not as simple as it seemed. Soft snowy hair, flawless skin, sharp jaw, slender torso, long legs and the confidence of a thousand men in his walk. His mere existence seemed impossible to you, such a perfectly sculpted being couldn’t be real. He had to be the reincarnation of an archangel or some such divinity. Your eyes spied him while your mouth swept the floors as you watched him enter his classroom. You only saw him for 5 seconds, but it seemed to have lasted longer.
Despite having fallen for Gojo Satoru's charms despite warnings, no one noticed. Maybe it was because everyone had reacted the same way upon seeing him, but you weren't about to argue with your luck. You had a good first day of school. You made friends, ate the bento you made yourself at home for lunch and slept through a class, it couldn't have gone better. Being new, you were left alone to clean the classroom as an initiation prank. You cleaned the windows, swept the floor and washed the desks. You looked at the impeccable classroom, proud of yourself.
The metal bucket clattered to the floor as you left the utensils in the school storeroom. You placed the broom next to the others and stored the window cleaner on its respective shelf. The sun was setting once you put everything away. The school looked like a wasteland with no one around. The green grass, the tall buildings that were now orange in the evening light and the wind that heralded the arrival of autumn. You headed towards the exit to finally return home, but the hollow sound of a bouncing ball caught your attention.
You approached the open gym door and peeked curiously inside. His pearly hair moved subtly in the air like falling goose feathers, his delicate hands gently grasped the ball and his glasses reflected his intentions. It was the archangel playing basketball. He bounced the terracotta ball endlessly and then threw it into the basket. Again and again. A perfect shot every time. He was a great player without a doubt. After he shot the ball for a basket, he stopped.
“Do you know how to play?” He asked, looking in your direction. How did he realize you were watching him? You hid behind the door to pretend you weren't there. “I can still see you,” he said in a playful voice.
You looked to your left and to your right. There was no one around. You came out of hiding to introduce yourself, but he was already beside you. You gasped and jumped back, not expecting him to be so close. He was too fast. At your reaction, Satoru laughed out loud.
“You're like a scaredy-cat,” he chuckled before dropping down to your level to get a closer look. “Have we met before?” I ask you, analyzing your face.
“I saw you this morning at lunch,” you stammered back.
“That's right! You're the new girl.” Satoru remembered seeing you in the hallway.
Gojo Satoru was used to driving girls crazy. Ever since he was a kid, he had attracted the attention of all the girls in his class despite his spoiled and arrogant attitude. He was used to making the girls blush and hide out of embarrassment. They always did it modestly so it wouldn't be so obvious. So when he saw you with your wide eyes and your jaw to the floor without an ounce of shame, he couldn't help but find it adorable.
You bounced the ball while watching Satoru in front of you. Even though your nerves were on edge from playing with such an attractive guy, you decided to give it your best shot. He was bent at your level with his arms outstretched to keep you from getting close to the basket. You dribbled between your legs to feint Satoru that you were going to run to the right. He darted in that false direction, but you ended up running with the ball all the way to the left. You ran to the basket to shoot.
“So you do know how to play,” Satoru said with a smile as he took the ball in his hands.
“A little bit,” you replied with a proud smile for having faked someone twice as tall as you.
“It looks like I'll have to get serious.” Satoru smiled determinedly, rolling up his sleeves.
You swapped places. Now he had the ball, and you had to keep him from making a point. He bounced the ball in front of you, bouncing up and down between his hands and the floor. He smiled at you, confident that he would take the point in this round. He took the ball in his hands and shot it from the three-point line. The ball landed perfectly in the basket thanks to his technique. “Yeah, it was obvious he would do that,” you thought before sighing.
“Don't hate the player, hate the game,” he said with a smile as white as his hair.
“I don't hate the game, it just makes it more boring,” you answered before chasing the ball.
“Boring?” He didn't understand what you meant.
“I mean, with your height and skill it's obvious you're going to win. Knowing you're going to win doesn't make it boring?” You explained.
“You may have a point,” Satoru thought out loud. “Then make it more interesting by thinking you can beat me. Ignore logic and just do your best.”
That was another way of looking at things. You passed the ball between your hands as a metaphor for your mind debating whether you should listen to him or not. Even though there was no way you could beat him, you should at least try not to lose face. That way, you could say “at least I tried”. Isn't that how the world works? Trial and error to the point of exhaustion. All in the name of progress. It was such a simple thing, but it had opened your eyes. What else did Gojo Satoru have to teach you?
You took a deep breath before the first dribble. You crouched down to try a feint, this time, from the opposite side. You moved your body to the left, but the ball moved to the right. Satoru followed the ball this time, blocking your path. You turned your back to him to keep the ball in your zone. You hit his body with your shoulder to look for a tackle.
“Hey! You're playing dirty!” This time it would be difficult for him to take the ball away from you.
“Don't hate the player, he hates the game,” you returned with a confident smile. Satoru chuckled, offended that you used his words against him.
You were going to try another feint. This time you would bounce the ball between your opponent's long legs, then chase the ball and dunk it. It sounded easy, but it wouldn't be at all. That made it fun. You dribbled the ball while making sure his legs were open. “Now!” you thought confidently before bouncing the ball between her legs. The first step had been a success, now followed by the second. You tried to go around Satoru, but he hugged your waist to prevent it.
“That's foul!” You exclaimed annoyed while trying to break free from his grip.
Gojo Satoru didn’t have fun. Being born the only member and head of the Gojo Clan, he had no time to play with other children, throw tantrums when he fell down, let alone fall in love with someone. He had almost no hobbies or interests. He didn't know who the trending celebrities were, had no idea about fashion trends, nor did he know what was going on beyond Japan. He was always busy with something to do with sorcery. That's why he tried to have as much fun as possible in the little free time he had. Being the strongest sorcerer of this generation, it was his responsibility to sacrifice his life and being for the good of mankind… or so that’s what the old used to say.
Satoru laughed evilly as you squirmed in his arms like a worm in salt trying to get the ball. He was taller, stronger and more capable enough to never let go, but you wouldn't give up. You turned abruptly, tripping in his legs. Satoru lost his balance, causing you both to fall to the ground. He hugged you tightly to protect your head upon impact.
“Ouch!” You groaned in unison as your bodies bounced against the wooden floor of the gym.
“Are you okay?” You asked Satoru worriedly.
Quickly, you noticed that he had lost his round glasses when he fell, revealing his stunning sky eyes. You could see your reflection in them as if they were a crystal clear river. They were so perfect you would even think they used to belong to a doll. Satoru laughed at the sight of your impressed eyes, wide as if they would pop out of your face.
“Wow…” You sighed openly.
“Do you like them?” Satoru asked you, tucking a strand of your hair behind your ear. You nodded with the same surprised expression. “Let’s exchange them, I like yours better,” he smiled at you.
They looked into each other's eyes as if they were the most beautiful thing in the universe. Their hearts were beating a mile a minute, they didn't know if it was due to the exercise or the intimacy. It was just you in the middle of an empty gym, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Satoru approached you. You closed your eyes in reaction. You didn't know what he would do, but you were willing to do whatever he wanted. Unfortunately, there was one simple rule you had to follow.
“Gojo.” A hoarse voice woke you from your little love bubble. It was Yaga, Gojo's teacher. “I'm sorry I was late. The meeting took longer than it should have,” he explained, waiting for you to get up from the floor.
“Don't worry about it. I had such nice company,” Satoru explained before giving you a tender smile to make you forget the embarrassment of having caught him red-handed.
“Class day is over, miss. You should go home,” Yaga reminded him, indirectly telling you to leave.
You said goodbye formally and left the gym in a hurry. You ran through the school halls with your heart in your hand. One rule. One simple rule and you broke it on the first day of school. You smiled to yourself as you remembered his sapphire eyes. You had never been so happy to break the rules.
“Gojo, what did I tell you about disabling your technique?” Yaga scolded him.
“It was worth it,” Satoru shrugged. “It was worth every second,” he whispered to himself as he remembered your shocked eyes, trying not to smile.

If not Buddie, why Buddie shaped? #2
Following my theory that season 7 and 8 are new seasons 1 and 2 on abc, where the writers revisits the big events from character’s pasts and retells them (you can read it here) I want to look closer at new episode 8x06 “Confessions”.
This is all fresh in my mind, I watched the episode like 4h ago, there is a chance I’ll miss something.
Like I said, I think we’re going to see at least 4 more big moments revisited (or rather the emotional state those events invoked) from previous seasons before Buddie goes canon. Kitchen scene, well, will and shooting arc. And one of those happened in this episode! But also so many other things!
EDDIE:
Starting with Eddie in the confessional. I can’t help but see his fight club era here (call me bias, I love season 3 Eddie so much!). An attempt to find a healthy outlet to his emotions. He’s struggling and fighting with his inner demons, this time instead of rage it’s sadness and loneliness.
And he is doing it with an outsider's help. Father Brian is like Lena Bosko. Why Lena and not Frank? I think Eddie would just shut on therapy at this point. He needs someone to talk to, someone with opinions and advice, caring enough to want to help but also not afraid to go straight to the point and call his bs - Lena and Father Brian did just that.
Ok. Time to revisit a big event from Eddie’s past - the well. ABC put the call with the little boy trapped in a pipe in episode promo as the red herring. The real purpose of this call was to remind us about the Eddie Begins episode. The important thing from Eddie Begins is that Eddie was alone in the dark pit - and in the end he saved himself.
So the real connection between those two episodes is not in the call where 118 saves the little boy, but between Eddie coming out from underwater, drawing a deep breath and Eddie shaving a mustache, shedding his mask and dancing, breathing fully again.
sorry for the meme, I'm tired
It’s also interesting that the moment Eddie allowed himself to feel joy Buck knocked at his door.
BUCK:
This one is pretty straight forward. Like I said before, Tommy represents Abby - a transformative relationship - like Buck said himself. The fact that Tommy was engaged with Abby is a really beautiful way to further connect and close both relationships. What leads to the break up from Tommy’s side is also similar. Tommy knows he would fall deeply for Buck, and Abby didn’t come back because she knew she would lose herself in Buck. They were both protecting themselves.
And here is also a little parallel to Ali. Like her, Tommy offers Buck a proper and honest break up, showing maturity, understanding and clear reason why. And yes, Ali was also protecting herself, ending their relationship before they broke each other's hearts.
And one more thing from Buck’s side. The whole Abby thing throws him off. Maddie tells him it’s not a big thing, Josh tells him not to judge Tommy (honestly, Josh’s speech is amazing!) - this calms him down in the end, dating the same woman doesn’t feel awkward anymore. But the questions Josh is asking leave Buck confused. Taking the next step, moving in together - it’s like Buck is trying to prove he really feels those things Josh was talking about (or maybe even compensate for his “freak out”, confirm he’s fully into this relationship). And on some level Buck has those feelings, he cares about Tommy, but more than that, he simply feels he should be on the level Josh suggested and he wants this to work. It’s Buck’s impulsiveness coming to play, an action that causes reaction in a form of big gesture to confirm his feelings - a nod to his relationship with Taylor.
Fortunately Tommy explains those feelings to Buck (and to the audience) in a very kind way.
Honestly, their relationship (the last two episodes especially) was handled beautifully, without unnecessary drama, without too much spotlight. It started with fireworks, naturally progressed and faded gently.
The cherry on top: Evan meant something more, something special for Tommy. Ending his goodbye with Buck means “we’re friends now”.
BUDDIE:
There are two things here I want to mention.
Ever since Gerrard separated Buck and Eddie this is the episode where we can see them working together as partners again. And this finally wraps up the divorce era.
The ending scene represents different scenes for each of them, ending different arcs.
For Buck the couch scene represents Abby’s comeback in season 3. He watched her ride off in the ambulance with her fiance (with Eddie solid by his side), and later he got closure from her.
For Eddie this scene represents him being embraced by the 118 after he dug himself out from the well. He’s connected again, no longer alone.
And of course, the most obvious and sweetest thing - it’s the right couch (and they finally drink that beer).
Bonus MADNEY:
Couldn’t help but notice some revisits here. Maddie’s postpartum depression is addressed very clearly, nothing to add here. During the pandemic Chimney stayed at Buck’s place, afraid to put pregnant Maddie in danger of catching the virus. Something happened on a call that changed his mind, made him overcome his fear and enjoy the future with his family. The same in this episode. But there is a little twist here and it involves brothers. In season 7 the new audience learned about Kevin. Guess who wasn’t yet introduced (and also took care of Maddie during the pandemic)... yes, I believe this season we will see Albert again.
That’s it for now. Let me know if you want more posts like this. Feel free to contact me if you want some clarification or just to talk.

so no one asked for this, but here's a post about my favorite Hazbin Hotel ships ( romantic and platonic) and what I hope they explore with them in the show.
1) Huskerdust/Angelhusk/Casino Hearts (Romantic)
Obviously, I got to start with my favorite romantic pairing in the fandom. Angel and Husk are my favorite characters in the HelluvaVerse, and both mean a lot to me. They are both old men born around the same time with a lot in common, and I know they would be close buds. From everything we have gotten in canon( fake instagrams which are not canon but in character, the fun hunicast streams, viv admitting to shipping them and allowing huskerdust into the merch, the fact that Husk was made to be Angel's bestie, and a lot of unnecessary information I know lmao, I do not doubt these two will be canon. I can't wait to see their friendship grow and all the trials and tribulations they will go through to become better for themselves and each other. And hopefully, the fun shenanigans that they do because I love me some shenanigans.
2) RadioHusk (Platonic)
Okay, so Husk's relationships with everyone interests me, but this one is probably the most after AngelHusk. It's clear these two have a past and that Alastor is comfortable enough with Husk to be incredibly annoying around him. Alastor is Husk's boss and most likely owns his soul, but there's also a strange bond between them I really want explored. I think Al loves Husk in a platonic and weird way because he's most likely his best friend, but Alastor may not be able to always express this normally. Husk is a good guy and a bit complacent, so he just deals with this shitheads nonsense and doesn't seem to fear him. Maybe there's some fucked up things between them and maybe their friendships has cons and pros. I'm not entirely sure, but I can't wait to find out
3) Angel and Vaggie (Platonic)
Okay, most of these are platonic ships, but whatever friendships are important. I love these two judgemental assholes and the way they judge people together. It truly is gay and lesbian solidarity, heh. They are gonna be the best of frienemies, and I can't wait for their relationship to be explored.
4) Voxval (Romantic)
Okay, I hate these bastards with a burning passion, but that doesn't mean their relationship does not interest me. Vox, Val, and Velvette are going to be the main villains of Hazbin Hotel, and without knowing too much about them, I'm excited. I want to know how Val and Vox are going to be as a couple. Since the instagram accounts are not canon, it is hard to tell if Val will be abusive or not. This is a possibility since the accounts seemed to be in character, but I want a different approach. I think it would be interesting for these two to genuinely love and respect each other and no one else. To see themselves as the true rightful kings of Hell and work together to destroy and belittle whoever they deem below them. It's an interesting dynamic that I prefer more than just "Val is abusive to poor baby Vox" cause Vox is also evil, and I want him to do evil shit.
5) Chaggie (Romantic)
There's not much to say about these two. I just think they are cute, and I want to see more of them.
6) The Hazbin Gang (Platonic)
And lastly, I can't wait to see how all of these fuckers get along and interact. As a group, I'm sure they will be very entertaining and I will enjoy every minute of it. Also, I am including Pentious because I know he's part of the main cast now, and I love that. Can't wait for these idiots to try and make this hotel work and hopefully grow together in the process.

PROPAGANDA
PADMÉ AMIDALA (STAR WARS) (CW: Pregnancy)
1.) From the beginning, she only existed to be Anakin's love interest and Luke and Leia's mother. Although she's an important political figure in all three prequels, her characterization in being Anakin's crush/maternal figure in Phantom Menace, Anakin's love interest in Attack of the Clones, and Anakin's wife and baby mama in Revenge of the Sith. She literally dies of a broken heart when Anakin turns to the dark side in RotS, right after giving birth to the twins, because her whole purpose in that movie was to motivate Anakin's fall and be the twins' incubator. What's more, she didn't even know she was carrying twins until after Luke was born because George Lucas apparently gave no thought to what prenatal care would have been like in a universe with futuristic technology despite the whole main plot revolving around Anakin thinking Padme was going to die in childbirth. There was also a subplot cut from RotS where Padme helped found the rebellion with Bail and Mon and then goes to Mustafar to kill Anakin after he falls, but it was apparently deemed not important enough to keep.
2.) Her characterization was drastically forgotten about in the prequel films in favor of her husband's (despite her being one of three main characters in the prequel franchise). She went from queen of an entire planet to a senator of a galaxy-wide political body to dying of a broken heart. She does not question the actions of those close to her despite them contradicting her character morals (which her character was built on!!). Plus, she is rarely mentioned outside of the animated series. The show, Kenobi, doesn't even mention her name, only that she was essentially kind and brave. Also, she was not approached for a cameo in any of the largest related media while the men have.
3.) oh boy. she basically dies because apparently George Lucas doesn’t realize that women’s healthcare exists??? like you could argue that she wouldn’t have died if she just had an OBGYN. in 2/3 of the movies she’s basically just used as a tool for the main male character’s development. then there’s this whole plotline in The Clone Wars (aka TCW) series where there’s all this gross stuff with her ex who literally tries to kiss her when she’s actively saying no, then her husband proceeds to lowkey victim blame her??? it’s just so unnecessary. I could go on
BUMBLE (WARRIOR CATS) (CW: Domestic Abuse)
1.) Back with another Warriors submission, I bet you’ll be getting a lot from other people too LMAO. Bumble is a kittypet (housecat) who befriends the male protagonist Gray Wing’s girlfriend, Turtle Tail, and lets her stay in her house. This gets Gray Wing all pissy because he’s controlling of Turtle Tail and shares most of the wild/clan cat’s proclivity for looking down upon kittypets. Turtle Tail gets pregnant by another kittypet, Tom, who tries to control her by hiding the fact that humans take away kittens after they’re born. Eventually Bumble comes clean about it so Turtle Tail returns to the forest. Some time later, Bumble is found in the forest seeking refuge because Tom has been physically abusing her, scratching her where the humans can’t see. So, she’s CANONICALLY ACKNOWLEDGED as a domestic abuse victim (unlike Squirrelflight who meets all the textbook signs but the narrative and authors deny it). How do you think our good guy protagonists, i.e. Gray Wing “The Wise” and Turtle Tail, respond to an abuse victim seeking refuge? They tell Bumble to go home, thinking to themselves that she’s fat and soft and therefore would be useless in their group. Bumble stands up for herself and asks to speak with the leaders of the group. One of them asks if Bumble could just get along with Tom better (bro???) and when Bumble says it’s not within her control, the leader suggests being nicer to the humans instead. Another rival leader butts in and verbally abuses Bumble again by ripping into how fat and lazy and useless she would be. Despite Turtle Tail having been friends with Bumble and Bumble had helped her through her own hard times, to Gray Wing’s approval Turtle Tail chooses not to intervene as Bumble is forcibly escorted back to her abuser. But that’s not all. Later Bumble is found in the forest maimed and dying, and it seems likely that Gray Wing’s brother Clear Sky, a male with a long history of violence, is the culprit. Rather than mourn the dying innocent cat, Gray Wing’s primary concern is how other cats might be mean to Clear Sky if they think he’s a murderer, and reassures himself that refusing to help Bumble in her time of need was still the right decision.
2.) I have no idea how she managed to be written so horrifically from an abuse victim and woman (/she-cat I guess) standpoint but here we are. Okay so my memory is a bit fuzzy but basically Bumble was a character in Dawn of the Clans and a close friend to Turtle Tail, a major character, as well as a character who lived close to Tom, an abusive dickhead of a cat. Bumble was largely depicted as just a really sweet cat. Turtle Tail was very briefly the mate of Turtle Tail, but once she got pregnant, he became super violent towards both her and our gal Bumble. Tom actively hid the fact that, once her kits were old enough, Turtle Tail’s kits would probably be taken from her, and made Bumble keep quiet about this too, but Bumble eventually told Turtle Tail the truth, Turtle Tail left and Tom became extremely violent towards Bumble because of this, and was extremely abusive towards her. Eventually, Bumble ran away from him to where Turtle Tail and co were and begged to stay, since the wilderness as a whole was genuinely more safe than being around Tom was. Naturally, this meant kitty xenophobia from cats who had only arrived in that area recently, because everybody was insistent than, since she was a kittypet/house cat, things wouldn’t work out, and even her friend Turtle Tail denied her on this, insisted she was too soft to live in the wild and only sent her towards a cat Bumble wanted to convince because she was absolutely certain she’d be denied. Also our good old protagonist Gray Wing got to spend this scene being all upset about this soft cat wanting to join them to escape an abuser and was all bitter about the fact that Turtle Tail lived with her for a short period of time, and he also got to have a sweet romantic moment with Turtle Tail after denying an abuse victim an escape from her abuser. Also as much as I like Tall Shadow usually she sucked ass in the following scene because she was essentially telling Bumble to go find a way to make peace with Tom as if she was not the one being abused (Bumble pointed out that Tom was the one who would need to make peace for it to happen, not her) and that she should just make life better by going back to being a housecat and being spoiled despite the fact that she was actively at risk with her owners because of Tom. Then she leaves after being threatened by several cats there and is called soft on the way out. The next time she appears she is literally dying, and her death is just a plot device to create a stupid little mystery which is solved in a very stupid way. Also her abuser does continue to be a shithead and for some reason is fully permitted to kidnap his own children but he also gets a heroic death and the only reason I will not rant more about him is because this is too long already. Long story short Bumble deserves the world and everybody who decided not to let her escape her abuser just because they thought she was soft sucks
3.) Is nice to the group of starving, feral wild cats that left the mountains so their friends and family could have more food to eat and befriends one of them to the point of opening her home to her after she leaves the group because the guy she likes is too dumb to notice she likes him and keeps falling for his brother’s love interests.
Unfortunately, because Bumble is a house cat who lives in a house with people and not a Wild and Free cat, this is a grave and horrible crime (luring a wild cat into the safety and comforts of domesticity) and is villainized for the rest of the arc, including for things wildly out of her control
I.E.
Her owners taking in an aggressive male cat that bullies and abuses the two female cats already living there
When Bumble’s friend leaves and goes back to the wild cats, Bumble leaves her home (as the abuse as has gotten worse) to see if she could either get help or have her friend return so the abuse isn’t as bad again)
Bumble eventually dies in the wild because the feral cats all hate her for ‘stealing’ their friend and tricking her into becoming a kittypet for awhile and refuse to help Bumble adjust to wild life or even teaching her how to hunt.
They are littl e to no hard feelings at her death beyond 'good riddance’ but the aggressive tomcat that chased her out of her home is later regarded with good feelings and regret at such a 'good, heroic cat’ passing when he dies despite him literally never doing a good or kind thing in his life and actually causing trouble for the wild cats right before dying

I am confused by people on the daily but sending it to you because I loved her response. She has to be exhausted by her inbox 😭. I don't know how you all handle this.
Q. I need a few things explained to me. I will say upfront I am camp Tommy. The article did not seem pro Tommy and Buck to me, but plenty of my Tommy peers were thrilled with it, but so were Buddie fans so there is a disconnect in someone's interpretation. It was unnecessary for Tim to have brought up Eddie there. They weren't talking about Eddie, it was inappropriate. It doesn't matter that Lou and Oliver never did a chemistry test, they're fine together. Why do people care? Lastly Oliver clearly has an agenda. It would not have killed him to hold that picture of Ryan for another day. He could have let us have our confirmation that Tommy is indeed back and maybe shared a pic of him instead of Ryan. Lou can have BTS stuff too.
A. The article speaks for itself. It doesn't require interpretation. Tim mentioned Eddie because they're all part of the same storyline. Period. People can choose to ignore that fact if they want but it won't change the storyline. Eddie is the point. Eddie has been the point. That theme is carrying over into this season. Buck's relationship with Tommy is going to play some part in whatever Eddie's self discovery is going to be. Tim wouldn't have mentioned Eddie in relation to the pair otherwise. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think TV shows do chemistry reads unless it's a long term thing. If it is just for a particular plot or storyline they will cast the actor that best fits the plot purpose. The chemistry is secondary to the overall plot so I'm not at all surprised that they didn't do a chemistry read. Their chemistry isn't the point. The storyline he was cast for is the point. In this case the plot purpose is Buck and Eddie. Eddie told Buck him being bi wouldn't change anything between the two of them when in reality everything is going to change. That is the point. Oliver's chemistry with Lou isn't relevant in any way.
I would not look too hard for him in any BTS. And I know you won't believe this but I think that is for your benefit. Why give you anything that may lead you to believe he's anything other than a plot point? They shouldn't include him. It's not realistic. And feeds into something that has already been taken way out of context. Lastly, Oliver does have an agenda. He always has. He always offers counter programming to the canon. It will not change unless the canon becomes Buddie. He has been this way from the beginning. And he doesn't owe anyone an apology for that.
Thank you so much Nonny. As always, much appreciated.
*sigh*
I really feel like everyone should just give Ali a break here. She has explained this over a 1000 times already. How many times does she need to repeat it?
I agree with all of this.
Also, that article was blunt and in your face. Tim brought up Eddie when talking about BT, which is something the show has done since day one by the way. Eddie has ALWAYS been involved in this storyline and he will continue to become even more important in this storyline, because the whole purpose of BT was always Buddie.
IMPORTANT! Please don't repost this ask and/or a link that leads straight to my Tumblr account on Twitter or any other social media. Thank you!
Heads up! For anyone who is giving me the shifty eyes for reposting Ali's updates instead of reblogging. Read this.
Remember, no hate in comments, reblogs or inboxes. Let's keep it civil and respectful. Thank you.

I have something to say - If you aren’t going to read the whole thing, then skip it. But I really hope you do. My intention is not to cause drama. I just felt this was important to say because I love this community and I want it to be the best it can be.
A few days ago, a very unfortunate thing happened on a certain post about Talanah and Seyka. I called someone out on what was a case of weaponizing a racist incident. Instead of having a meaningful discussion, my comments were deleted and called “inappropriate accusations.”
Long story short - several reblogged and commented on this post about how Talanah was constantly being tagged as Seyka. To be clear, this is not a good thing and I believe every single one of those post to be valid in their frustration. But I have also seen it happen the other way around to my own work (Seyka tagged as Talanah). None of this is okay but while it is exhausting, remember that mistakes do happen.
So I made a comment about my experience and my comment was dismissed because apparently it “hadn’t been seen.” I responded to this with an honest truth of how dismissals of experience affects people like me.
The thing about racism is that it doesn’t happen in a vacuum. You don’t get to pick and choose who it happens to just to fit your narrative. Dismissing it because you didn’t personally see it is harmful, especially to fans from marginalized groups who may not feel comfortable sharing their experiences in the future.
My comment was deleted and later referred to as an “inappropriate accusation” and “harassment.” Was it an accusation? Yes. Was it inappropriate? No. Was it harassment? Absolutely not - I took time to respond so it wouldn’t be seen that way. However, the comments involving Talanah mistags were kept. The comments defending a fictional character. To be clear, I am not saying these comments are not justified. It is incredibly frustrating to work so hard on a piece only for it to be tagged as another character. However, the fact other comments (including my personal experience), that challenged the narrative that these mistaggings were only happening to Talanah, were being deleted is problematic and a form of silencing. Intentional or not - this is a racist microaggression - and yes, I do deal with stuff like this in real life.
It became immediately clear to me that the goal here wasn’t to raise awareness or do anything about the racist misnaming but instead use it to put down a group in this community. And judging a whole group by the actions of a few bad apples is literally where prejudice begins. All of this pettiness stemming from - let’s face it - an unnecessary shipping war in a FICTIONAL STORY. I was incredibly disappointed and saddened because I know we are better than this.
I am not speaking out because I want to cause drama. Undoing systemic racism is something I am deeply passionate about because it affects so many people in my life. If someone calls you out on a problematic take, please take a moment to listen and reflect, even if it makes you uncomfortable. Do not follow the impulse to block or delete. This work is extremely exhausting for everyone, but it is SO important. We all carry prejudices and biases. We are human. But we can also learn because we are all human. I have been called out many times in life by my friends. I have made so many ignorant comments and mistakes. And I will still make them. Hearing I have is not easy at all but it is all part of growing.
Speaking out like this isn’t really my thing but I felt the need to make a comment that can’t be deleted by anyone. I love the Horizon community and I want it to be a safe and inclusive space for everyone no matter where you are from. That is what these games are about. Understanding people from different backgrounds, opinions and traditions in order to work together.
You don’t have to be fans of the same characters. You can love or be disappointed with the canon. You can respectfully give and listen to critiques of these characters. And you can celebrate representation even if it’s not the direction you wanted Horizon to go in.
Whatever these games have given you is yours to keep.
Just don’t be an asshole about it (at least in public, what you do in private is none of anyone’s business so…) -> that goes to all fans in all groups. It is never okay to harass or hurt anyone - and especially over fictional characters.
(Also please respect the devs - we are lucky they are able to pour their hearts into this game for all of us to enjoy and frankly the direction is their creative choice)
This vibrant community is full of so much talent and love for this amazing series. I have made some truly incredible friends, worked on some hilarious and delightful collaborations and have seen wicked talent come together to make something special. Just look on the horizon, and you’ll see a certain 100% fan-made game coming soon, which has a little something for everyone!
Keep creating. Ignore the bad apples. Don’t be an asshole. I’m going back to drawing silly things. - from the hart

Been thinking a lot about Borderlands 3 and Rhys lately and since I've seen people posting a lot about the things they dislike about the way Borderlands 3 handled... literally everything, from previous games' characters to their strange and sudden insistent belief that "some of the megacorporations that make weapons to profit off of the galaxy being unsafe and constantly engage in inter-corporate war to steal things from each other are good actually" I thought I'd add a few of my own thoughts into the ring, this time specifically about Rhys- one of the characters who I found to be both dumbed down in 3 (although to a lesser extent than characters like Vaughn, who was pretty much just reduced to a bit character.) Cut because this is gonna be a long one, folks.
I think something interesting is the fact that Borderlands 3 really took away some of the snide, prideful behaviour Rhys had in the original Tales, kinda stripping him of some of his less "cutesy" personality flaws while giving him new ones he didn't necessarily have before- like accidentally making him seem incredibly shallow in quests like Space Laser Tag- where he's mainly concerned about trivial things like his favourite spots being destroyed while the company he fought to rebuild for the past SEVEN years is also being crushed. This is largely because instead of portraying him as the flawed but OVERALL currently well-intentioned (to some degree) character he is, they wanted him to be little more than an "adorkable" goofy type of character- and acknowledging his past of scheming ambition and potential to be incredibly dismissive of others doesn't fit that.
The thing *I* personally like the most about my perception of Rhys as a character is the dissonance between his character arc and his actions beyond the original Tales. I think it's important to spearhead this conversation with the fact that I don't like buying into the idea of Rhys being possessed by Handsome Jack post-TFTBL, trying to bring him back, or even still being in possession of his infected ECHOeye. Whether he sided with him for the majority of the original Tales or not, I prefer believing that the canon ending to the game inevitably resulted in Rhys finally discarding his idolization of Jack and resolving to veer his own life away from following in Jack's footsteps and towards creating his own ideal future with Atlas.
Does that immediately make him a morally perfect wonderful guy who's not still questionable by sheer virtue of INSISTING on making a return to the very corporate hellscape that pushed him to do everything from get unnecessary body modifications (still forever thinking about the fact that he did NOT lose that arm, my man had it purposefully removed for the sake of career success). No. The FUN part of it all is that Rhys is simultaneously right- he isn't like Jack, and I really don't like that the new Tales really switched up his behaviour to resemble his more- and wrong. Because at the end of the day, he's now still the CEO of a large-scale weapons manufacturer taking advantage of the unrest between planets and corporations just like every other big corp.
I think more than anything, I like Rhys best when he's a well-intentioned person (with glaring character flaws like a persistent love for the corporate life and lingering ambitions) who genuinely cares about Atlas and believes that it's the key to bettering the world he lives in- while simultaneously only REALLY managing to be, at most, a lesser evil. Someone snarky and occasionally snide, who's lightened up into the more affable, comfortable, almost silly persona we see in 3- but not missing the flaws that were definitive of his character in the past, either.
I wish we'd seen him have a stronger reaction to Katagawa Jr. and the possibility of losing Atlas, instead of the played-up-for-laughs kind of upset he displayed over things like a donut shop vs. the literal potential destruction of the company he scavenged out of a bad situation and brought back from the grave. I wanted to see him take it more PERSONALLY. To me, Atlas is in part Rhys trying to prove to HIMSELF that he doesn't need to be like Jack. It's proof and reassurance that when he tries to tell himself he's better, he's right. It's freedom from the corporate rat race he used to live in, because *he*'s in charge of it now, and he's running it with a lighter hand. To me, it's his own (flawed, yes, but I should've made that clear already) attempt to spit on everything Hyperion represented as a corporate environment.
If I'd had my way with it, honestly, I would've played a bit of a more emotional angle with the ideas Borderlands 3 lays out for you. I really love Katagawa Jr. for a lot of reasons, but one of them is the fact that he's a character that really echoes a lot of Rhys' own (past and present) character traits right back at him, and I think that should've been emphasized more. I wanted it to hurt more! Let Rhys look dead in the eyes someone who is, in many ways, eerily similar to himself- opportunistic power-grabbing and all- and realize that he's going to have to have him killed to protect what he's built for himself. I wanted him to realize that this was the only way things were ever going to turn out- because there's no happy ending when you go corporate in the Borderlands universe. It's going to be backstabbing, conflict with other manufacturers, and destruction all the way down.
Anyways I have a *lot* more to say than this (autism does that to a motherfucker)- but I see a lot of discourse? Discussion? Who knows- anyways. I see it a lot regarding Rhys, and I think my take is essentially, TLDR:
He doesn't need to be the pinnacle of evil, a new clone of Handsome Jack or someone stepping into his footsteps, just another heartless corporate fuck who underwent no character development whatsoever and is just as bad as Maliwan, or Tediore, or anyone else. He also shouldn't be reduced to "the good one". I know that Borderlands 3 itself is for the most part completely allergic to nuance, especially in character writing, but I think it's fascinating to play with the idea of a character who is trying to do their best to BE "the good one" and succeeding to some degree- while still failing to break the status quo in a way that matters. He also doesn't need to be entirely a goofy piece of shit that's obsessed with action figures, OR a conniving, snide asshole who's way too overconfident sometimes. He could've and should've been a bit of both, y'know?
Thanks for coming to my TED talk. If you read all this, you have my commendation.
#long post#borderlands#borderlands 3#rhys strongfork#rhys the company man#tftbl#i have so many other thoughts about this franchise as a whole but i'm never sure if anyone wants to hear them lol#mindstriker miniessays#new tag for my long ass posts#i've been working on a borderlands 3 redesign for him where i also try to outline the way i'd personally love to write his character and#it's been a lot of fun. katagawa jr. fiona and vaughn are next on my list

as an older sibling who had a pretty bad inferiority complex towards his younger brother... i do kinda get it? it's very easy to develop a warped view of your younger sibling, especially if that sibling is or is perceived to be more talented than you at something.
granted, in iroh's case, he was the talented favorite, so that's something of a swap, but even so.
it's a little annoying that the older brother is always the "good" one tho
Azula started as “Prince Azul,” who seems to have had an equally bad relationship with his older brother Zuko. Of course there’s Iroh-Ozai. And later on Bryke would create Tonraq-Unalaq, which seems to be a copy paste of the worst parts of the Zuko-Azula and Iroh-Ozai dynamics with zero of the nuance preserved.
I have to wonder if this point if one of Bryke felt overshadowed by a younger brother who was smarter and more capable than they were.
#atla#honestly my biggest beef with the fandom's treatment of ozai isn't that he's always viewed as a complete monster from birth#who had no chance of ever being anything else#my biggest issue is that people act like iroh always saw him as a monster and hated him for it#like iroh canonically doesn't want to fight his brother#like at all#the iroh you see in fics would've challenged ozai to a fistfight at the drop of a hat#the iroh in canon is never even in the same shot as him#hell i can only think of one time we see them in the same room and it's during the agni kai#which btw#if ozai could take high general bujing's place in the agni kai then iroh could've taken zuko's#zuko didn't know his opponent had changed until ozai stepped up to fight him but bujing was standing with iroh#he had time to do something#he sent three teenagers to go take down a fleet and two other teenagers to go beat up his niece#meanwhile he and his cool old master pai sho buddies freed ba sing se for dramatic irony#despite the fact that it was completely unnecessary bc no one important was in ba sing se and zuko could just give it back as firelord#idk i just feel like both iroh and ozai are more complicated than people give them credit for

||| AlteredPageAU!Sigma Character Sheet |||
Out of all the APAU characters, Sigma is definitely one of my favorites and one of the most interesting.
In the AU, he's affiliated with the Armed Detective Agency, with Kunikida as his mentor.
He's the archivist of the ADA— doing research for cases, taking notes during meetings, and storing information on past cases and current cases.
(Individual images)
Other important info on his character under the cut ↓
Things of note about his design/character:
His Gloves
The gloves that Sigma is wearing have a few important things to note. 1: they are ability suppressant. 2: The color choice of the gloves as well as the sleeves have symbolism pertaining to Sigma's character throughout the story.
The gloves allow his ability to be suppressed due to the fact that they contain Dazai's blood. Ranpo gave these gloves to Sigma after Sigma's entrance exam.
The main reason why Sigma's gloves are ability suppressant is for his own good. For one, I believe that he would not really like his ability very much. His only experience before the ADA was his canon backstory(except for the fact that Ranpo found him in the desert instead of Fyodor.) He was always forced to use his ability, and he cannot control his ability if he is forced to come into contact with another person.
Ranpo also suspects that later on, Fyodor will try to use Sigma's ability to gain info on the ADA. The gloves could prevent that from happening.
As for the design symbolism, it goes along with his sleeves. Throughout the plot, Sigma does commit some immoral acts after being manipulated by Fyodor. He truly does have good intentions, thinking that his actions are 'for the greater good.' His sleeves are white: his intentions are moral. The arms move the hands. His gloves are black: his direct actions are immoral. His moral intentions lead to and guide his immoral actions.
He hates Ranpo
This is mainly for two reasons: 1. He thinks that Ranpo views him as incompetent and that his role in the ADA isn't worth much. With how quickly Ranpo can solve cases, Sigma doesn't always have the opportunity to do his job to the fullest. It's unnecessary for him to do lots of research and take notes about certain cases
And 2, he doesn't like how Ranpo acts. He views Ranpo as childish and annoying. And with Sigma and the rest of the ADA's limited knowledge compared to Ranpo... Sigma tends to find some of Ranpo's suggestions to be absurd and even dangerous at times.
The Weapon in the Character Sheet
The knife present in his character info/design sheet is, in fact, the one that Fyodor uses to stab him in chapter 108 in the bsd manga. Do with that information as you will.
Parallels to Atsushi
This won't get a whole in-depth explanation here, but it will get its own post once I make an info sheet for Atsushi.
Put simply: Atsushi is in the DOA, and Sigma is in the ADA. Sigma views the ADA the same way Atsushi does in Canon. Atsushi views the DOA the same way Sigma does in Canon.
The specifcs do go beyond this, and will be explained later ^^
Poe's Archives Book
Ranpo being Ranpo, he predicted that Fyodor might try to use the page to redirect or even reverse reality. Before that happened, he had Poe write a basic book that detailed the different gifted organizations/ability users in Yokohama, foreign gifted organizations and their relations to the ADA, and the status of the DOA/Rats.
Ranpo found a way to carry this book into the rewritten reality of Fyodor's making and gave the archives book to Sigma. Sigma was instructed not to open it under any circumstances.
The archives book plays a big role in Dazai's suffering throughout the AU, considering how the fandom can not figure out/agree on how Poe and Dazai's abilities would interact.
-----------------
My next goal is to start concepting for Atsushi's design, so some sketches of that will be posted soon, as well as the DOA/Rats' relations to one another.
#bsd#bungo stray dogs#bungou stray dogs#sigma bsd#bungo sd#bsd fanart#my art#altered page au#rervraiil's altered page au#bungo stray dogs au#its a shame that sigma hates deserts... considering that i myself live in a desert#but fair enough for him though—its very hot outside where i am and my AC is a lil broken

I don't think the writers can escape this criticism.
From a writing standpoint, introducing an original character to dictate and affect the path of Aegon's story (his adult version who we had just barely met) instead of just using familiar characters like HIS family (specifically Helaena and his kids) to do so was very unnecessary.
Aegon had his flights of fancy for sure in Fire and Blood, but none of that was so important as to dictate his being 'worthy' of the Iron Throne or not (if that even matters in a civil war started by a bs indecisive king). In fact, Aegon's infidelity and scandaluosness was better off being used as a central force for Helaena's character build up, not a character outside of his family. Her sassy book respons(es) to whether she knows his whereabouts or not as well as her justified frustrations with him would've been best displayed here, giving Helaena more to do, not just with Aegon but with her other family members.
The writers taking Mushroom's account, of all people, to heart and then inflating it to levels even the court jester would be envious of was...certainly a choice. And that is why Dyana as a character is unfortunately nothing more than a vehicle for the writers to promote Rhaenyra, whose flaws have been made 'palatable' for audiences if you factor in the way her taking advantage of a helpless Criston has been framed as 'romantic' and full of whatever a 'female gaze' means.
Truthfully, there's really no essential purpose that Aegon's story arc with the original character created by Sara and her band of fellow writers serves the plot of the Dance, unlike Criston's CANONICAL arc with Rhaenyra which was a major contributor to the birth of a political schism in the Red Keep!!!
I guess we'll have to wait and see, but my fear is that Dyana will be made a pawn yet again or worse a martyr for the evils and conspiracies of two warring parties.

Hot take but I do not enjoy Rayllum. I still think it’s relatively important story wise and I don’t at all mind it being a canonical relationship, but I dislike how they frequently forego personal character development or depth, specifically for Callum, to hammer in details of a relationship we already knew was inevitably going to be canon.
(SPOILERS FOR SEASON 6)
Like that moment when Callum had to find “his one truth” or whatever. I thought it was going to be Sarai but when it turned out to be Rayla I was kinda disappointed. I feel like there’s so many other avenues that could be explored with Callum’s character that never really get utilized which is ultimately a huge let down.
I want to explore Callum’s grief with being an orphan. The potential jealousy of seeing his partner be reunited with her father, but also the man that made him an orphan. The dilemma he could feel between sympathizing with Aaravos’ story or facing the fact that he is a bad person.
We’re on the second to last season and I’m pretty sure my guy has only mastered two arcanums which is still a feat but also so much less than what I expected. In Avatar: The Last Airbender they did a very good job with balancing the development of everyone’s character, the storyline of Aang mastering the elements, AND showing us the relationship between Aang and Katara to a point that it was solidified it would become canon without it getting in the way of the story.
By the time Dragon Prince is done they would have more episodes than Avatar, but the reason why they could not balance these 3 components despite a writer for Avatar being a writer for tdp is because they paid way too much attention on unnecessary fan service for a ship that, again, we all know will be canon, instead of putting any serious focus on literally anything else of significance.
I love Rayla and Callum individually, I hate the shallowness of their characters as a result of showing a relationship that ultimately is also kind of shallow.

Hi, what do you think sets SNS apart from other ships? I like lots of ships but after a time I kind of forget about them or don't care as much but I could never fully stop thinking about SNS. Funny it's not even an explicitly "cannon" ship as others.
Yeah, same for me! 😩
Because they are canon.
Well, fine. Technically, they are not considered canon due to a detached sequel that attempts to redefine their relationships. Now it’s canon that they’re married to women they’ve never felt love for, and some executive's niece wrote a trash novel to try and make it seem the original author had it all wrong, or they change the narrative for convenience sake. It's similar to following a recipe to bake bread, only to have someone mislabel it as an inflatable bike for funsies and profit.
But think about it: what about SNS is not canon?
Their bond, their journey, and everything that led up to that moment of reconciliation and hope is in fact explicitly canon. Both in text and sub-text. And if we’re talking romance specifically, the action shown in Kishimoto’s Manga and sacrifices they make for each other, go way beyond the mere declaration of “I love you." Many things Naruto and Sasuke said to each other go hand in hand with an ‘I love you’ anyway—mutually.
It’s funnier knowing that Kishimoto did use such spoken, explicit declarations of “I love you” only with the intention to mock it or show how one-sided it was. That such words are rendered meaningless in a world that required these characters to explore what (personal) bonds meant in the first place. Naruto's words in VotE1 didn't yield the desired outcome, leading him to remain mostly silent during VotE2. That’s all with good reason. Alternatively, words are deemed unnecessary as per Naruto's belief that men express emotions without verbalizing, and Sasuke's view that they can understand each other's hearts through their fists. Or how Kishimoto decided to use a single page with no spoken words to show a mutual romance between Konan and Yahiko. Oh, and look at that; Kishimoto does know how to show romance when he wants to. Kushina and Minato didn’t need it; neither did Tsunade and Dan, nor did the romance in Kishimoto’s previous Manga.
We can delve deeper into Naruto's persuasive techniques, like 'talk-no-jutsu,' and question its effectiveness compared to his actions, as he also applied it to himself without significant results, right? Often, the words spoken by these characters didn’t even match how they truly felt anyway. Like Naruto trying to convince himself what's right for the people instead of what he wanted, or Sasuke during the reunion scene. That’s why context is so damn important.
And I could go on and on about this, tbh.
I believe it’s a mixture of their beautiful story as well as the passion to defend the authenticity that is SNS from external pressures like fan interpretations and industry expectations. I think it’s no wonder people go so hard to preserve Kishimoto’s original intent or, on the other hand, to try and disprove it.
For me... I have many ships that I like, but they’re just that: ships. And that’s fine, of course, but there is a difference.

This is to address a situation where I had carelessly modified my Circe blog @the-goddess-circe to fit my alternate universe. This caused many people to get hurt and I am addressing it.
When I created the Circe Blog on August 8, it was with the intention for Jack to get possessed by Circe, a character I was interested in because as a character Circe is really complex and fascinating, I am not excusing her actions OR morals. She had not much canon lore to work with and I was excited at the opportunity to be able to experiment and work with Circe.
During one of Jack’s possession scenes ( https://www.tumblr.com/demigod-jack-hearth/758229800393523200/open-starter )
I thought it was a good idea to make a complete alternate universe for Circe, which is how I modified her intro to the alternate universe that Odysseus has raped Circe and sexually assaulted her. I did not think of the consequences of my actions and how I was not handling this situation OR topic with the care or respect it deserved.
This is the role play thread that started this alternate universe- https://www.tumblr.com/camp-sky-heaven-on-earth/758618332716056576/i-know-it-hasnt-been-long-since-i-asked-you-to?source=share
I did not consider how this was dehumanising and triggering the trauma other others and this was not my intention in the slightest.
For this overlook and negligence on my part,
I’m am wholeheartedly sorry to everyone, those affected by my actions and my audience who have seen it.
I realise now that I have people that watch me, people that reads the things I put out and they are very real. Their feelings are real. Their experiences are real and their stories and trauma are real. This is a grave mistake on my part, and I now understand that what I say and do have an effect on others.
I did not take the correct amount of time to think this through and do my proper research on the canon lore.
This section is to address my first anon message back on August 13 about my Circe au:
Link to the post-https://www.tumblr.com/demigod-jack-hearth/758706460356149249/its-kind-of-disheartening-to-see-you-re-writing?source=share and https://www.tumblr.com/demigod-jack-hearth/758707116707119104/if-you-realise-it-was-a-mistake-it-might-be-a?source=share
When I first received this anon message, I dismissed it as something I didn’t need to worry too much about and because of my WRONG mindset that I do not share as of now, I made a very throw away and poorly worded response.
I spoke to some people I am now not in contact with and they had encouraged me to not think too much about it and reinforced my belief that I had free reign to make alternate universes without discretion. I was also unhappy with a separate issue that caused me to have a lot of pent up anger and frustration, this does not excuse the way I replied the anon.
These conversations with people who enabled my wrong view on the situation sparked me to make my response hurtful, bitter and unnecessary.
I regret making that comment and I am sorry to the anonymous message who got hurt by my remarks.
I understand that Odysseus and Circe are very important characters whose stories should not be modified so carelessly.
Now onto the important part: What I will do to amend this situation.
I am not asking for anyone to forget or forgive this situation, but I hope to at least make some amends.
First off I will be deleting Circe’s Blog and will not be reworking it until I can get an acceptable version in the works.
Second of all this is a repetition but I apologise to everyone affected and reached by this situation. I am willing to make personal apologies at your request.
Finally, this will not happen again. I have grown and understood the situation to the best of my ability and will do everything in my power (running it past people before I post things and checking the facts) to make sure this does NOT happen again.
I'm going to tag everyone because I don't know who has been affected by my actions

Your discussion about leaks made me think many things.I feel like Lucifer is being dick to Al 'cus he's still holding grudge from the whole Drop beat dad.
I actually laughed how much Lute tried to paint herself as the victim. Probably thinks she's a victim. I hope we find out if she is heavenborn or not.
Adam disliking Abel makes me think that we're missing details. Most likely it's something to do with Cain. Or he just didn't like that Abel chose marching band.
Why Abel took Adam's position might be a pretty simple reason; to piss Lute off. I get a feeling that she's not that popular thanks to her personality. Maybe that's why Adam was so important to her, he liked her as a person and gave her purpose. And while Hazbin is full of misogyny, I feel like Lute not being the new leader is more to do with the fact that she's too unstable for the position. So it's also possible that Abel became a leader because there was no other choice.
I wonder if the rumor/leak/theory about Eve being Beach!Lilith is true. Would that give Adam's and Eve's relationship more depth? And probably mess up Lute's already fragile mental state. For example, she finds out and is furious at Eve (+ Lilith if they work together) for deveicing Adam, only to learn that he knew. That he (the brutally honest guy) actually lied to her. I don't know how much her simp heart would handle.
Sounds like a unnecessary trainwreck? This is hellaverse, every relationship is a trainwreck.
Seeing this ask made me put on my critical cap on. I do not want more Lu and Al “beef”, it is already uninteresting to me. Less of that more of him trying to fix his relationship with Charlie. Lucifer being a prideful but insecure is fine and dandy. I do not want him to be petty and bitchy. Al was minding his business and did not even said anything yet.
I hope this season clears up if Lute and the exorcists are Heaven made or born too. I hope we see some of exorcists react to Adam’s death. I am surprised there was some with Lute at Sir P’s trial to back her up. The other exorcists are just a hive mind I guess. Lute becoming obsessed about Adam is wild. It could have worked if she had a personality outside of him but that is clearly not the case. She did everything for that bastard and her whole character revolves around him. She even had a bracelet on her wrist that looked like his halo like GIRL. She wanted a piece of that fat man BADLY, definition of down bad. Cain is the first murderer, I do not how the show can due to “twist” of their story. The murder probably did not happen in the show because Adam was the first soul to get into Heaven. In biblical lore, Adam and Eve were alive when Abel was killed. Adam hating marching bands would be funny but also dumb on his part. Have you seen marching bands? That shit is cool. Or Abel took the marching band aesthetic to connect with Adam in some shape or form. I do like the idea of the first family having a band aesthetic. Adam is the rocker, Abel is the marching band, Cain can be death metal, and Eve can be gospel.
Lute is more off the rails than Adam was. He was even weirded out by her comment she made about Vaggie at the start of Ep 8. Abel seems to not hold any malicious towards her, calling her “miss”. Abel taking up the role of leader so fast is crazy. Like Adam was just murked and Heaven is like “Abel. You leader now.” Like what? Are they going to train him? They had a mask similar to Adam’s already made for him too. The higher ups were waiting for Adam to die, no one liked his fat ass.
Lute becoming unstable makes me wonder if mental health services do not exist in Heaven. There is clearly something wrong with her and everyone just brushes her off and not even try to comfort her.
I hate the Eve and Lilith theories. It is a high chance of the swap theory being canon but it is still stupid. What would be the need to switch places? Adam probably was keeping some secrets from Lute that he took to the grave. I fear that Adam and Eve’s relationship will be typical for the Hellaverse. Toxic or one-sided. Depth for these shows is like a kiddy pool. Which is an issue for some, I am mixed on it. It does give me more to work with as I create my AU.
Sorry about the rambles. I think about this show too much. I was excited to S2 as a whole but now, Abel is the only new aspect I am excited for. He is a cute little dude.

So i just finished the movie earlier and I am in so much feels right now HAHAHA. Just a mini rant regarding the movie! MAJOR spoilers ahead
i'm so happy i went in blind for the movie so i literally have 0 information about it. The only thing I know was Heiji and Kaitou Kid were gonna be it. So colour me surprise when there were a lot more easter eggs and fun references to canon scenes than I expected, and I do semi-enjoy them. But I was truly SHOOKEDTH when Aoko appeared. I literally gasped and was screaming internally in the cinema because MY BABY GIRL??? While it made sense that she should be there when Inspector Nakamori was shot, I still didn't expect her to be included in the movie at all. Every scene with her were the best moments I had tbh, followed closely by Kaitou Kid's angst when he couldn't save Inspector Nakamori (hmm yes i love the pain and guilt and emotional distress HAHAHAH) I would probably need a second or third watch to fully grasp how they solve the riddles to the treasure thingy, but I'm okay to cast that concern aside in exchange for enjoyable, strong character-driven moments! But sadly, the dynamics were kinda lacking in this movie for me. There were just so many things going on, with the confession plan, then the murder, then the kidnapping, then the riddle, then the story of the swords... you get it. This movie had so many things going on that nothing was going on at the same time? I felt like if I were to watch any other movie with Heiji&Conan/Kid&Conan/Heiji&Kid in it, their dynamics would be the same and underdeveloped. In fact, what I love were actually the unconventional or lesser popular dynamics? Like I mentioned, Aoko really steal the show, and I enjoyed her interaction with Conan and referencing to Kaito's younger self LOL. And when Ran noticed and was supportive of Heiji's confession plan, their moments were super nice and cute too! (Though it was no shocker when Heiji's confession was ruined, once again. At this point I really do feel bad for him.) Now, to the important part: the cousin reveal HAHAHHAHA When Heiji asked Conan if he has a sibling or something, I was kinda "hmm??", but I didn't thought they would really go with the reveal in this movie. While being a KaiShin shipper, I still adore ShinRan and KaiAo a lot (those KaiAo crumbs cured my sadness HAHAHA). I'm not sure if I would incorporate this new reveal into any future KaiShin fics (if I'm writing any), but still I am kinda disappointed that they decided to reveal it this way, like it's just a "by the way thing". But what was worse was that Toichi is indeed really alive, with this information backed and followed up since the Midnight Crow arc in Magic Kaito Manga. This "plot twist" actually felt rather flat, like it was done just for the shock factor and not for substance. Like there really wasn't a point for it? Unless the dcmk verse is really going to unite and they are going to take down the BO + Snake gang together in the future? Idk. This whole thing feels cheap... and an unnecessary plot device. Honestly, it would be a lot cooler if Phantom lady (Chikage) plays a more active role than Toichi's "Kaitou Corbeau". His actual death was what motivated and made Kaito who Kaito is today. And to just rip that away because Gosho cannot allow good characters to remain dead... is just kinda ugh. MagicKaito-verse is kinda messed up for me now and I felt a little bit sad when I walk out of the cinema after that LOL. I still love DCMK and I will always adore all the characters in my heart (bigger shoutout to Aoko though LOL), but I just hope that whatever direction Gosho takes with the story, it's for the better: Rather than relying on the characters to make the plot interesting, he should address/better the plot that drives the characters to complete their interesting stories. Not sure if this make sense but yeah. Oh well, if you have read till this far, thank you for hearing my long rant! I do feel a bit better after this HAHAHAHA
