full name: oskar warren eklund
nickname(s): os, ossie, mitt hjärta, buddy, bear, os bear / ossie bear
date of birth: june twentieth (20), twenty-twenty-one (2021)
place of birth: stockholm, sweden
age: three-and-a-half (3 ½)
zodiac sign: gemini
extra info:
— looks exactly like his father–curly blond hair & everything
— ^ LEGIT looks just like william when he was a baby
— reader & william didn’t really have a solid name for him yet when he was born so, reader took it upon herself to name him oskar (after william bc of his middle name). warren was william’s idea as it began with the same letter for his first name & it seemed like a cool name
— was born a couple of weeks before william was drafted to the sharks
— has dual citizenship (obviously) & is fluent in english & swedish (or at least he’s getting there)
— no surprise here, he’s a HUGE mama’s boy
— ^ he’s just like his papa, OBSESSED with reader lol
— ^^ he’s super close with william as well. it’s just with will’s work & all the traveling, they’re not always guaranteed to tag along & oskar spends a lot of time with reader
— this boy LOVES LOVES naps & can sleep anywhere
— ^ william doesn’t usually take pre-game naps, but if oskar is insistent on napping, you bet he’s wrapping him up in a blanket & carrying him to bed to nap together
— favorite color is pink & forest green!
— absolutely loves the snow!
— ^ always looks forward to going to sweden whenever it’s projected to snow there because then that means he can go skiing or skating with his papa & the rest of the eklund family
— has such a big heart that if he even sees a random stranger crying on the corner of the street, he’ll cry too (empath fr)
— loves holding readers hand or hugging her. he’s such a velcro baby
— has a blanket that he carries everywhere & sleeps with every night (me too honestly)
— ^ it’s a light blue color with little sharks on the back. it was a gift from william’s mother when oskar was first born & when william was drafted to the sharks (it was honestly just a coincidence that it had sharks on it & he was drafted to the sharks)
— is SUPER into hockey
— ^ william signs him up for hockey lessons & he’s in absolute awe of the sport. he much prefers defense (as of right now) & wants to become a defenseman when he progresses as a player/in the sport
— ^^ does do other sports such as basketball, skiing, figure skating, or baseball. reader wanted to give him more sport options than just hockey
— literally thinks macklin & will are his best friends
— ^ they 100% are dw. mack’s tossing him around every chance he gets & will’s coming up with new games for them to play
— ^^ which makes them his designated babysitters whenever oskar’s usual babysitter cannot look after him
— ^^^ he manages to tire them out before they tire him out so there have been many times where will & mack are passed out on the floor surrounded by toys when reader + william come back home & oskar’s just peacefully coloring at his table in the corner of the living room
— is an ambivert. he has a perfect balance of introvert & extrovert traits
— loves going to william’s games!
— ^ screams his lungs out the entire game. has a custom made jersey with william’s number on it & papa embroidered on the top
— ^^ has been in a couple of post game interviews with william & everyone absolutely eats it up. he’ll say hello & reach out to tap the microphone sometimes & will answer whatever questions the interviewer asks. sometimes he just wants to be held by his papa so he’ll stay quiet & just play with william’s hair or chain that holds his wedding ring
— ^^^ the fans are up in arms about oskar & always enjoy the content. they do respect william & reader’s choice of privacy so they never ask or pressure them to post anything about their son. but when something is posted with oskar, comments flood the post saying how cute he is & how much he looks like william or reader
— loves reading & to be read to!
— ^ i sense future bookworm hehe

If Fox had a nickel for every time he accidentally gave someone shrooms, he’d only have two nickels. But it was still weird that it happened twice. He had no idea what Oskar was doing in The Phoenix, he didn’t even know the guy was friends with Stevie. All he knew was he sprinkled a little kick to his drink at the bar, only for it to be gone when he turned back around and now he was in the fucking toilets with the man trying to block the mirrors with his arms. “The up is meant to be the best bit but honestly just like...avoid these.” he rambled in panic. Why were there so many mirrors? And why had Stevie insisted on unisex toilets, because there was a drunk voice outside the main door trying to get in and Fox had to keep pulling the handle back. “Won’t be long had some bad...tacos.” Yikes. “Not me, my friend. Obviously, otherwise I’d be in a stall and not holding the handle. He’s not really my friend though. But I like, don’t hate him either.” Fox shut up. “Okay just like...I don’t know, shove your fingers in your throat and it’ll all come up and it’ll be over. I think.”

ABOUT:
Name: Oskar Eklund
Age & Birthday: 41 years old, March 10th 1982
Gender/Pronouns: cis man he/him
Birthplace: Stockholm, Sweden
Time in Atlanta: 7 years
Neighborhood: Brookwood Hills
Association: Government
Occupation: District Attorney
Positive personality traits: confident, hard-working, head-strong
Negative personality traits: cunning, materialistic, snobbish
STORY:
Born and raised in Sweden to a wealthy family that worked within American and Swedish banking and politics.
Moved to NYC 15 years ago and worked within the city government until favors and connections got him a more prominent position within Atlanta.
Wasn't happy with the move but power and more money is always a good thing to him. He moved to Brookwood Hills 7 years ago. He only came due to being promised an eventual position as District Attorney. He became DA 2 years ago.
Does a lot of criminal things with his role, it is definitely undeserved and is only there through connections rather than passion. Will do whatever's needed for the highest paying bribe. He doesn't get out of bed for anything less than 100k.
Spends a lot of money, shows off, is a snob.
Uses his younger brother Henrik as his personal journalist tool to find dirt on anything that would boost his status as DA.
Workaholic and enjoys the finer things in life. Isn't commitmentphobic but essentially struggles with relationships due to his lack of warmth or willingness to ever compromise.
Can be charismatic and charming when needed to be, especially if there is something for him to gain from it.

@oskareklund big elk ski resort
-
Meeting Oskar at the casino was a saving grace. Jacob didn’t live extravagantly and had only visited in the hopes of networking, half to keep up the facade and half to find an in to the truth of Lockwood’s secrets. At first sight, Oskar was a well put together man who clearly had a fortune to his name. But after a few social interactions Jacob could see a man who had experienced a loss. What kind of loss, he had no idea until he took a nice amount of time looking into him. The internet was definitely a cruel place but from Jacob’s point of view, he was thankful that each search gave him more and more information than he needed. “Let me tell you, the real estate agents around here are ruthless.” Jacob laughed as he sat with Oskar within one of the bars at the resort. “Lawyers seem even worse. I’ve been trying to get a decent amount of commercial properties emailed to me, best they can do is old worn out printing factories or...bars that didn’t survive next to a new one that opened.”

Roman wasn’t Oskar’s biggest fan. He made it very clear to Quinlan, but to the older Eklund’s face he was as charming as ever. Well, when he was drinking responsibly. He snaked closer to the other man and raised his glass in greeting. “Didn’t want to mingle with the peasants?” he chided, which was rich coming from the lawyer who looked down his nose at nearly everybody he met. Perhaps that was why he didn’t have the best connection to Oskar. They were similar, noticing traits in the other that reflected back to themselves. “Aiyla and I were talking about you. You have a way with the ladies, huh?”

+ OSKAR DECADES NIGHTCLUB
Music fills the club, pouring in from every possible speaker and corner. Emira had convinced Bella to come out to the club, if only to serve as a distraction from all the hundreds of questions that must be swirling through her friend’s mind. It feels too soon to say best friend again but…tonight, it feels like nothing’s changed, dancing and laughing until they’re breathless. She only leaves Bella’s side to grab a drink, getting out of the way of a gaggle of girls heading to the next floor. Looks like clubs in Bradford aren’t so different from New York. Even in the crowds they draw.
The moment Emira turns from the bar does she notice a familiar face, albeit, decidedly less friendly than Bella, glaring at her from a few feet away. Shit. She’d heard about the ski resort but hadn’t figured she’d actually run into Oskar. Having only met through Bella, once their friendship hit the rocks, they’d had no reason to run into each other. Emira debates about returning to her friend’s side, retreating and ignoring his scowl, but her pride wins out, as it often does. It had been as impartial a story as could be. She stands by it. And she’d had no choice in the matter. “Long time no see, Oskar.”  She greets with a nod before taking a sip of her drink.  @oskareklund

+ NINA KINGS & QUEENS
Tumblr media
“Sorry no one told me you were here,” Evie says, giving a passing server a pointed glance as she walks into the room Nina’s currently occupying. “I’d have stopped in sooner. Did you get a drink yet?” Asked as she gives her friend a congenial but brief hug (though the Mendez family was warmer, she dated Oskar long enough to know the Eklunds were not). “Are you playing tonight or just dropping by?” @ninaeklund

I need a blurb of the reader comforting William Eklund after his best friend was traded. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about him since the trade was announced :(
the comfort of family
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
series masterlist
pairing: mom!reader x dad!william eklund x son!oc
genre: angsty, comfort
warning(s): talk of the zetterlund trade, william crying
note(s): i was so distraught when i found out. i had to find out through tiktok of all places 😭. i feel like it’d be a little surreal in the moment & everyone would be caught off guard. this will specifically be set during mom!reader & dad!eklund era (i know he found out while he was with zetterlund, but i wrote a majority of this before finding that out. i’ll probably write an alternative to that!)
William had excused himself from the dining table, the phone in his pocket frantically buzzing and dinging.
The look you shot him as you gathered food onto your son’s plate is what caused him to answer it immediately. He usually leaves it in your shared room for dinner time, so it was a bit of annoyance when it started blowing up like crazy.
A smile spread across William’s lips as he saw the familiar contact name for Fabian Zetterlund—Zetty.
“Tell Zetter I say hi,” you piqued, your husbands smile a dead giveaway to who was trying to call him. “Don’t be too long. Your dinner will get cold”.
William shot you a soft smile before kissing the tops of you and your sons head and heading off into the backyard, gently closing the sliding glass door behind him.
You had been too busy plating you and your son’s food and talking to him to realize the somber look on William’s face as he talked on the phone outside. Him and Fabian’s calls tend to last some time so you took it upon yourself to begin eating, aiding your son in cutting up the difficult to chew bits.
When William finally entered the house again, you felt the shift.
His shoulders were slumped over and his eyes were slightly red, a sign of tears to come. His hair was also a mess, most likely from him running his fingers through it too much.
He hadn’t said anything when he walked back in, sliding back into his usual spot at the dinner table with a sad look on his face.
Your heart dropped when you realized it was Friday—the day of the trade deadline. You sincerely hoped that it wasn’t what you thought it was.
“What’s wrong?” You softly asked, hand gently resting on your husband’s shoulder. Your other hand went to smooth down the unruly parts of his hair, trying your best to comfort him.
William didn’t say anything as he turned his head to look at you. Your fear being proven right when a tear slid down the soft cheek of your partner.
“Oh, honey. I’m so sorry,” you whispered, gently bringing him into your embrace, lips placing kisses on his cheek and forehead.
“What’s wrong, Papa?” Oskar asked, puzzled as to why his Father seemed sad after just talking to the boys Uncle.
“It’s a bit complicated, Ossie,” you replied, grip gentle yet unwavering as William rested in your arms.
A few minutes of silence passed, Oskar climbing out of his seat to plop himself into his Fathers lap, tiny arms wrapping around his shoulders.
“Uncle Zetty is going away for a while,” William finally answered, tears still streaming down his face as he had one arm wrapped around you and the other around his son. “Something came up with the team and they thought it best to have him go somewhere else for a bit”.
The look on your son’s face wanted to make you cry too. Poor Oskar looked so confused and sad. What do you mean Uncle Zetty won’t visit his favorite godson anymore?
“How long?” Oskar mumbled, quickly wiping his own tears from his cheeks.
“For a long time, buddy,” you answered, William too choked up to properly answer.
A frown overtook your features as your son nodded and put his head on William’s shoulder, wiping away his Father’s tears.
“He’ll still visit right?” He asked, tone clearly laced in sadness and confusion.
“Of course, mitt hjärta (my heart),” William replied, the hand holding him going up to rest on his son’s head. “He told me he can’t wait for summer. That we should all go to Sweden together”.
That information split your heart in two. The three of you had talked on multiple occasions about going to visit both of the players place of origin, but it seemed bittersweet now that Fabian was no longer going to be apart of the Sharks. It all seemed too surreal to be happening.
“Really? I hope so. I like hanging out with Uncle Zett,” Oskar muttered, still clearly processing.
William only hummed in response, placing a kiss to his son’s matching unruly hair.
The two of you knew this transition was going to be tough. Fabian had been apart of your shared life for only a short amount of time. But to William, he felt like he’d known Fabian for more than a handful of years. He just wished he had more time.
As silence settled over your family, you knew that you were going to be the one to be picking up the pieces for a while. But you didn’t mind. You couldn’t imagine going through something like this—losing your closest friend because of something that was out of everyone’s control. You just hoped that, for William’s sake, he’d come out stronger in the end.

@zakeklund at: eklund’s fancy boujee palace
-
Oskar’s generosity had extended to Bella receiving a spare key and an open invitation to the Northside home whenever she needed a break. It had been a while since she had a few hours to herself so the beckon of the mansion’s hot tub was finally too loud to ignore. The home seemed empty when she arrived, other than the distant sound of a running shower which she automatically assumed was Oskar. “Just here to freeload!” she called out, so he wouldn’t have a heart attack when he saw her. Then, she headed straight for the hot tub. She remained there to let the world drift away, her mind becoming empty until her body urged her to hydrate. She slipped back out again, wrapping herself in a towel and padding to the huge open plan kitchen.  The tall and lean frame she caught in the corner of her eye made her pause, something about it’s atmosphere was too dark to be Oskar’s. Brooding, almost. She knew that feeling well, it was an aura she used to get intoxicated in. It was a siren’s call to her in New York City, she couldn’t stay away. It didn’t matter how many thorns the rose had, she had been so determined to hold it as it bloomed.  Slowly, Bella turned, still wet and barely covered to a sight that immediately transported her back to the background noise of humming traffic. Watching Zak clamber out of the shower, only for them to need to take one together moments later. She couldn’t say anything, she just gasped as the shock took over. And she stared. She stared so hard, just in case it was a mean trick. “You’re here?”

Basic Info:
full name: Nina Eklund gender & pronouns: cis woman / she/her age & date of birth: 37, August 24th 1985 where do they live: Northside time living in lockwood springs: 2 years occupation: Crisis Management for Edelman  positive traits: Focused, Self-preserving, Calm negative traits: Selfish, Aloof, Power-hungry
About:
Nina was born a few years after her eldest brother and she worked out quickly that nothing she accomplished would ever be good enough in their parents eyes. At least not in comparison to Oskar, who always did exactly what was expected.
By the time Zakarias was born, Nina had already given up trying to please their parents and even at a young age she watched her younger brother follow the similar attempts at making them proud as she did.
Nina knew how to do just enough to keep them off her back, but she also knew how to stop caring about their lectures and demands.
Instead of following in Oskar’s footsteps within the financial industry, Nina decided to take a different route. She moved State side to study business and marketing at Harvard and from there, used her powerful Eklund name to open doors within the PR industry.
She began working in crisis management and she thrived at putting out fires, or saving companies or even politicians from steep downfalls. All of her hard work has paid off, earning her a comfortable position within the company.
In the midst of Zak’s scandal, Nina tried to help but quickly decided he needed to learn his lesson. She relocated to Colorado for an account at the Ski Resort, and purposely curated stories so the owner eventually stepped down, giving the chance for Oskar to buy it.
It was never Nina’s intention to stay in Lockwood Springs but she enjoys the slower paced life than in New York City. She often leaves on frequent business trips for weeks at a time and sometimes you might catch her as a spokesperson for the latest scandal hitting the news.
Nina tries to avoid being pulled into her family drama but when she is, she’s the one telling both Oskar and Zak how stupid they both are. Most of the time, she’s mediating the two of them or simply trying to get them to communicate normally.

╭── ⋅ ⋅ ── ✩ ── ⋅ ⋅ ──╮
Oskar hated playing at casinos, he considered it a waste of time as well as money which were two of the most important things in life. However, it didn’t stop him from watching people throw their money away as he enjoyed a drink or two. One face he wasn’t expecting to see was Sven’s but it certainly prompted him to try again at mending the bridge between the Eklunds and Westwoods. Bella had fortified it, and rightfully so. “I didn’t think you were much of a gambler, Sven.” he greeted with a small nod and smile. How Sven thought about him was unknown, the two had barely talked since the...wonderful news. “How’s Bella? I spoke to her a little at the school during the storm but she seems...stressed.” Or seething with hatred which again, was understandbale.

Note
if you could replace your parents with any two people in town, who would it be?
My mom is perfect and can't be replaced, but it would be cool to have Oskar Eklund as my dad and hangout at the ski resort.

the orange peel theory
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
series masterlist
pairing: mom!reader x dad!william eklund (featuring son!oc)
genre: fluff
warning(s): unless you count tooth rotting fluff, then watch out!
note(s): i’m literally obsessed with dad!william eklund it’s a problem atp (i’m making a series trust)
You had seen the trend on TikTok first.
A woman had asked her boyfriend to peel her orange for her. He did so with little compliant and peeled it for her, giving it back to her with a kiss. It was cute. A couple more videos doing the same trend had followed after. You felt compelled to try it out, buying a bag of oranges from the market a day prior.
“William?” You asked, grabbing an orange from the opened bag of oranges. “Could you peel the orange for me? I don’t like the sticky feeling on my hands”.
William had peeked his head over the couch, watching some hockey highlights on his phone. He eyed the fruit in your hand, a gentle smile spreading on his lips as he quickly hopped from his position on the couch, abandoning his phone.
“Of course, älskling (darling)!”.
He gently took the orange from your hand and began to meticulously peel it, making sure not to rip the orange peel too roughly so the juice wouldn’t splatter on you.
The sound of little feet running caught your attention, Oskar pattering up to you as he tugged on the bottom of your shirt.
“Can I peel an orange for you too, mama?” He asked, eyes darting from his Father peeling an orange to you with a pleading look.
“But why, honey? Papa is already peeling one for me,” you asked, hand coming down to pat down his unruly hair.
“Because Papa is doing it for you! And I want to do it for you too,” he answered, a small pout on his lips as he wrapped his arms around your leg.
Your heart soared at his reasoning, handing him an orange of his own to peel.
“C’mere bud, I’ll show you how to peel it to mama’s liking,” William stated, picking up his son with one arm to gently place him on the marble counter.
Oskar giggled in delight as he sat on the edge of the counter, holding his orange in both hands as he kicked his legs back and forth.
You smiled at the sight. William was patient in his instructions, showing your son how to properly peel an orange without damaging the fruit inside. Oskar had stuck his tongue out in focus, deliberately copying his Fathers movements as he peeled back the orange covering.
You knew that the trend had something to do with proving the kind of love you had between you and your partner as peeling an orange is a small task that many wouldn’t think twice about. So it was beautiful to watch two of the people you loved most in the world peel oranges for you without a second thought.
You placed a soft kiss to the crown of your son’s head as he held up his freshly peeled orange, thanking him as you took it. Oskar only giggled and kissed the hand that took the orange.
William had presented his orange, free of any peel and from any of the stringy bits. He put it on a napkin before handing it to you, kissing your lips as he did so.
“Eww,” Oskar giggled, tiny hands over his mouth as he laughed from the affection his parents displayed.
William only smirked and gathered his son into his arms, blowing raspberries into his neck as Oskar shrieked and giggled. “Someday, you’ll have to peel oranges for your partner, Os. And it’ll be the best thing in the world,” William spoke, shooting you a glance and a smirk.
You could only smile and watch as your son continued to giggle and squirm in your husband’s arms as he ran around the kitchen making airplane noises, allowing you to eat your two perfectly peeled oranges in peace.
In the end, you had double the oranges you wanted, but still ate nonetheless, and double the love and affection from the two people who mattered the most.
