Finally a Part 2 for the Game Night au!

Part 1

“PRONGS?”

Both James and Regulus’ heads snapped to look at Sirius, who had just let himself in through James’ front door. 

Sirius gaped at the pair of them and set down the six pack of drinks he was carrying.

“Since when were you friends?” He asked, narrowing his eyes suspiciously and taking out a drink for himself.

Regulus blinked innocently up at Sirius from where he and James were sat on the couch. “We just met,” he told his brother. Regulus put a hand on James’ chest. “He was just explaining how to play Blackjack.”

James’ skin tingled from where Regulus touched him and he felt his cheeks get hot. He could tell Regulus was trying to work up Sirius. 

Kudos to him because, frankly, it was working. A vein in Sirius’ temple was visibly straining and he was gripping his drink so tight his knuckles were white.

Sirius cleared his throat and asked, “James- a word in the kitchen?”

James nodded and extracted himself away from Regulus. He heard a small whine in the back of the younger man’s throat and he felt like he could have collapsed right there. As soon as Regulus’ hands weren’t touching him anymore, James felt a cold absence and longed for them to come back.

Surely having thoughts like this about your best friend’s younger brother isn’t normal, right?

He looked back at Regulus before stepping into the kitchen and his heart skipped so many beats he had a small stomachache.

Nope. That definitely wasn’t a normal feeling.

Wonder sister (Comfy-vember day 23)

This morning, like every morning, Kira Hitomiko was in the Sun Garden kitchen, preparing breakfast for the fifty or so children who lived here on a daily basis.

It was barely 7 a.m., but the young woman had already been there for quite a while. Classes for the older children started at 8 a.m. and the bus went by at 7.30 a.m., and for the younger ones, everything was delayed by half an hour. As a result, there were already a lot of people in the kitchen.

Reina had arrived first almost 10 minutes ago and simply grabbed a bowl of cereal, settling herself away from the others to eat in silence.

Gradually, the teenagers arrived one by one or in small groups, generally in a calm atmosphere.

But when Hitomiko heard a door slam in the corridor on the 1st floor, followed by loud voices, she knew the calm was over. And indeed, two more teenagers arrived shortly afterwards in the kitchen, bickering as usual.

"I told you not to stay up so late." Said a white-haired, blue-eyed boy calmly.

"And I told you it's the math’s' fault! Their stuff is too complicated!" Answered the other, a teenager with red hair and golden eyes, more vehemently.

Hitomiko opened her mouth to calm them down, but just then, the door leading outside opened wide.

"Hi, suckers!" The teenager exclaimed as he entered. This one had gray hair and violet eyes and came to slump down on one of the chairs. "Not ready yet? I see some of us are lazier than others."

"Shut up, Hiroto!" Replied the two who'd been arguing so far as two other boys came down the stairs.

"Hello everyone!" The first exclaimed, bursting into the room with a big smile and probably too much energy.

"You're far too smiley for a Monday morning." Reina growled, from the end of the table.

"Listen to the lady Mido, you don't want to offend her first thing in the morning." The gray-haired teen chuckled, putting his feet up on the table.

"Don't start, Hiroto. And take your feet off the table." Interjected the 4th boy, this one with red hair but eyes leaning more towards gray.

"Shut up, you're not my mother Tatsuya!"

Knowing that the situation would only escalate if she didn't intervene, Hitomiko put down the bread she was slicing and stepped a little further into the room. "Okay, everybody calm down!" She ordered. "Haruya, you could have asked for help if you were having trouble with math. Fuusuke, there's no need to remind him that he slept badly. Hiroto, what are you doing here? And take those feet off the table. Good morning to you too, Ryuuji. Tatsuya, I can handle Hiroto myself, but thanks for trying. And Reina, there's no need to be mean to everyone. Now everyone calm down and eat in peace. The bus will be here in 20 minutes."

There was a moment's hesitation before everyone sat down at the table and began to eat, more or less quietly, but at the same time, when there were twenty teenagers in the room, it couldn't be entirely quiet.

Hitomiko was therefore able to get back to preparing breakfast for the younger children, knowing that her little brothers and sisters weren't going to kill each other before breakfast.

She was just finishing heating the milk for the hot chocolates, when Midorikawa came to find her in the kitchen.

"Hello big sister! Can I have my meds please?"

"Of course." Hitomiko agreed immediately, opening a high cupboard and taking out a small bottle of pills, handing one to the younger one. "Here you go. Good job remembering your medication."

The young teenager gave her a big smile and returned to his seat after thanking her.

The toaster jumped up and Hitomiko was pulling out the warm slices of bread when she heard someone else enter the kitchen. She looked over her shoulder and saw that it was her only biological brother. "Hello, Hiroto. Did you at least eat before you came?" She asked, continuing what she was doing.

"Hi sis." Hiroto simply said, in a much lower voice than before.

Hitomiko turned around to take a closer look at her little brother. She saw that the lines around his eyes were more drawn than usual, and quickly noticed the make-up under his eyes, no doubt masking dark circles that were a little too visible. Hiroto wasn't looking at her either, and seemed almost uncomfortable.

"Are you okay?" She asked, frowning a little.

"Yeah, it's just... I didn't get much sleep last night." Hiroto confessed, his gaze still averted.

This didn't really reassure the young woman, who was well aware of the younger man's regular insomnia. "Any particular reason?" She asked. If it was something that was bothering him, as it sometimes was, maybe she could help.

"No..." Hiroto replied in a small voice, blushing a little.

Okay, something was clearly bothering him.

"You know you can talk to me, Hiroto. I know I haven't always been there for you, but I'm trying to make up for it. And if you came here this morning, it's because you wanted to take refuge somewhere. And your presence in this kitchen makes me think that it's me you've come to, and not the others. So tell me everything, and I might be able to help you." Hitomiko encouraged.

Hiroto hesitated a moment longer before sighing. "I... I'm taking Ryouhei on a date after training and I... I think I'm stressing a bit?"

Hitomiko smiled a little, but not too visibly either. She didn't want Hiroto to regret talking to her after all. She was simply touched that her brother had come to her for this sort of thing.

"What do you have planned?" She asked as she continued to prepare breakfast.

"Nothing fancy. A movie, fast food and stargazing."

"Do you think he'll like it?"

"He's the one who wants to do this. He didn't ask for it, but you know, a comment here or there and here we are." Hiroto replied with a shrug.

"So what are you worried about? You know he's going to like everything you've got planned, so it's all good."

"I know he likes to do all this. But I don't know if he's going to like doing all this with me."

"Oh Hiroto." Hitomiko said softly, putting a hand on the younger boy's shoulder as he raised his head. "Haizaki loves you. And I'm sure he'll love doing all this with you tonight. And even if it's not perfect, that's okay. Perfection doesn't exist and you can't be perfect all the time Hiroto. I'm sure your date will go perfectly. Besides, isn't the whole point of a date to spend time with the person you love, no matter what you do? You'll be fine, little brother. It's normal to be nervous, but you can't let your stress paralyze you. So go to class, have a good day, focus on training and everything will be fine tonight, okay?"

"Okay." Hiroto finally did after a little while. "Thank you, sis."

"You’re welcome. Now, you didn't answer my question earlier."

"Which was?"

"Did you eat before you came?"

Hiroto didn't answer, but his belly did for him, gurgling loudly at that very moment, making the younger man blush.

Hitomiko only laughed a little before grabbing something. "Here, some warm toasts. Eat up. Are you taking the bus or the car this morning?"

"The bus, I think. That way I can bug Nagumo on the way." Hiroto replied with a smirk, biting into his toast.

Hitomiko simply sighed. "As long as you both pay attention in class, are focused in practice and don't hurt each other, I don't want to know anything."

Hiroto chuckled and was about to leave the room when something on the fridge caught his eye. He moved a little closer to get a better look and had to shift a few sheets to observe what he had seen. There was a lot of art on that fridge, but that wasn't so surprising, with fifteen children under the age of 10 living here. But what had caught his eye was a paper at the top of the fridge, almost covered by others but still clearly visible. And yes, it was just what he thought.

"I can't believe you kept this." He said, looking at the drawing.

"Hm?" Hitomiko called as she turned towards him, seeing that he was observing a particular drawing. On one side of the drawing were a group of children with hair of all colors, on the other a rather short man with no hair and a woman with long, black hair. And between these two groups was a small gray-haired boy, one hand outstretched towards each.

"I've always kept all the drawings you've given me. They're not all here because we need space for the others too, but I've never thrown any of them away."

Hitomiko's attention was then drawn to the window, where she could see the bus approaching. "The bus is here." She said, before going into the room where the others were, to repeat the same sentence more loudly.

As for Hiroto, he stayed a moment longer, observing the drawing, before turning away and heading for the large room, grabbing his bag and boarding the bus with the other students.

"I thought you had your own car to get to school." Nagumo sneered as Hiroto climbed in.

"What's the fun in that? At least here I can piss you off." Hiroto replied, tousling the other boy's hair before continuing towards the back of the bus.

Eventually, he found a spare double seat and settled himself against the window, taking out his headphones and phone to keep himself occupied during the journey. At one point, Tatsuya came to sit next to him but did nothing but nod, so Hiroto said nothing either.

Two days later, when Hitomiko went upstairs to bed after all the youngsters had been put to bed, she found a sheet of paper lying on her desk, with a post-it note on it.

Intrigued, she first took the post-it and immediately recognized Hiroto's quick but neat handwriting.

"Make what you will of that one, but I think I've improved. And by the way, the other night with Ryouhei went really well. Thank you, wonder sister."

This simple message made the young woman smile, and she put down the post-it note before grabbing the sheet and turning it over.

Here was a new version of the drawing by Hiroto that hung on the fridge in the Sun Garden kitchen. There was still the youth group, Hitomiko and her father and Hiroto in the middle, but there was a lot more detail.

For once, the faces of all the Sun Garden youngsters could be discerned, and Hitomiko recognized the members of Eisei Gakuen in the foreground, accompanied by all the others. Hitomiko and Seijirou also had more details, but what changed the most and at the same time the least was Hiroto himself.

He was still between the two groups, but a little closer to the Sun Garden group. His hands were outstretched towards both groups, and he had a smirk on his face. Actually, his face seemed to be in a different style to the rest of the drawing, and Hitomiko found another post-it note. "PS: Ryouhei drew my face because I didn't want to, so if it's annoyingly sweet or else it's his fault."

Hitomiko smiled and said to herself that after all, there was room for one more drawing on the kitchen fridge.

And when Hiroto came to the Sun Garden the next time, he saw his new drawing on the fridge, not far from the old one, and thought how lucky he was to have such a great sister.

The first person you meet once you arrive on the Surface, you and Seven have a unique bond. He’s got a reputation in the slums and Neon for being great at parties, but his friendliness can easily be read as something more.

Is it something more? Further observations will have to be made…

THE SURVIVOR

Saturn. 23, Lawful Evil. Bartender.

“Keep your head down, and you’ll survive.”

The quiet bartender has a curious perspective on things. He seems to have no problem with the HIVE members patrolling his bar, even serving them drinks like they’re normal customers, despite their heavy armor and edges that are too sharp to be humane.

He also doesn’t seem to be particularly interested in you in the slightest. Why’s that?

THE DIPLOMAT

“Is it better to live in quiet solitude, your voice stripped and taken—or would you rather have died, knowing your voice was the loudest amongst them all?”

Chain. 23, alignment unclear. Current occupation unknown.

He’s someone to keep an eye out for. While he hasn’t practiced his craft in years, he may still prove to be dangerous. Just as friendly as Seven, but far more difficult to truly befriend.

Orion. 25, Lawful Neutral. HIVE operative.

The HIVE member patrolling Saturn’s bar. Part of something greater than he is, but he’s a part of it, regardless. Keep him around…

OTHER ENTITIES

Argos: Neutral Good. Age unknown. The deity whose spear you brandished, after his passing. He was a good man, but the fact only makes your sins rest heavier in your heart.

Teacher: True Neutral. Around ~200 years old. The chasm-dwelling shadow who taught you all you know of the Chasm and its residents.

Alistar: alignment unknown. Around ~200 years old. That’s you! You’re Alistar. At least, that’s what the world has been calling you ever since you ended the war and revitalized humanity, so that is what you will be referred to as throughout the entirety of the story. However, if you’d like to change your name (as Alistar is the default) you may!

As I am primarily an author (as in I literally have done nothing else with my life) I am new to coding (I took ONE coding club in fourth grade) and am trying to write out and perfect a chapter before converting it into typical IF form.

Once I manage to get things situated, I’ll started to code. I’m currently almost done writing chapter 4, so I’ll start working on coding once I finish it.

All the Zodiac Princes characters have a personality! Some more worked out then others though haha, I've been drawing these chaps for years :) (thats why some of the art is pretty old) Here's more about Scorpius! (the constellation is called Scorpius, these guys are personifications of the bunch of stars, thats why~)

Scorpius is the eighth prince, and the younger twin of Libra (the constellations Libra and Scorpius used to be one constellation). The princes rule space during the days the sun is in their constellation: Scorpius has the sun from November 23 to November 29. He has the shortest reign out of all his brothers. He's a jokester that especially loves to mess with Orion and Sagittarius.

His Alpha star is Antaras, I only ever drew him very quickly as a chibi so I will probably change his design! Scorpius is pretty friendly to his staff :)

I try to find a reason for almost everything, but I don't want to lore dump lol. But to give quick examples: Scorpius annoying Orion is pretty obvious, but the reason he also likes to annoy Sagittarius is because the constellation is depicted aiming his bow and arrow to the scorpion. So I translated that to Sagittarius being angry with Scorpius all the time :)
