Our society sees kids as subhuman, as property of there parents. The end result is a society filled with systems, borderlines, narcissist, anti socials, histonics. The ultimate irony is most of these people would not have ended up this if it wasn't for predatory adults and the nuclear family.
The same society demonizes childhood trauma disorders not because they are concerned about "abuse" or maladaptive coping skills. But because they are evidence of child abuse. Evedance that you can't treat a child however you want and there be no consequences.
At the end of the day trauma is baked into our culture, our government, our sacred belief systems and as long as this is true everyone in society is responsible for every csa, psychical abuse, medical trauma children have to go though. There is no indevaulism your way out of this. You either fight childhood trauma or you are an abuse enabler.

The boom in low hanging fruit conspiracy theorists, Alex Jones, Fox News, flat earthers, Qslop and other bullshit is detrimental to all of the political spectrum.
I recently had the displeasure of some Dumbfuckistani explaining how the Balkans were being turned into this East Roman Empire era of paganism to open a portal to hell and how the entirety of the peninsula will be sacrificed to Gog and Magog. Nevermind the fact that Christianity is on the rise in the Balkans to the point where Albania is no longer a Muslim majority, never mind that most Balkan governments barely function due to years of outside exploitation and spheres of influence battling for whatever scraps the common man here has.
You don’t have to label it as a conspiracy theory that both the west and the east pour unlimited funds into the entirety of Eastern Europe to exploit, corrupt and subvert as much as possible. Yet we are the smelly Slavs/Jews/Gypsies/Subhumans or whatever derogatory shit you come up with to dehumanise us all the while treating our countries as amusement parks full of cheap food, booze and light women for your yearly cheap vacation. All the while you can’t wash your western ass properly and the average eastern euro teen is smarter than a 30 something westerner.
One day your crooked pseudo empires will collapse and from the ashes the world will be free and you will be back to being nations of piss poor peasants and worshiping swamp demons.

Queer ideologues fail to understand that lesbians, female homosexuals, not bisexuals who claim a lesbian identity, are turning away from the “QT+” movement because you actively demonize homosexuality. You are the root of your own problem. You create these “terfs” which are simply lesbians who do not ascribe to the gender cult. The more you say nonsense like this, the more lesbians turn away from your supposed cause.
Under queer politics, if you are not bisexual, if you don’t allow males into your sexuality, you are prejudiced. There’s something “wrong” with you. Correct it or else. Accept males or else.
This is why lesbians are peaking. The only group that recognizes and cares about lesbians are the lesbians who reject these politics. This movement is actively hostile to female homosexuality. It erases us or treats us as immoral. This is why I, someone who was once a supporter of queer and trans ideology, renounced her stance.
It was illogical and male centric. It was an ever changing stream of nonsensical claims. And it all followed the same theme; homosexuality and femaleness are subhuman categories. Males and heterosexuals are supreme. Cater to your superiors, and conform.
I was a female homosexual. I was a lesbian. I could not compromise my sexuality in the name of “progress”.
This is not progress, this is hate.

While I do agree with your sentiment in the alterhuman acceptance/coming out post, I also believe you really shouldn't say anyone in the LGBTQ+ community is going to receive "mostly acceptance". It is scary to come out still, whether LGBTQ+ *or* alterhuman, it depends hugely on environment. There's still a lot of hate coming for us LGBTQ+ people. We have been told things similar to "you know you're human, right?", bigots associating the community with nonhumanity in a negative light (calling us demons, subhuman or whatever). We are in cringe compilations, enby people are very often. Those who can come out and be accepted are lucky to have an accepting web of connections.
Now, I agree, EVERYONE should be treated with respect, and "be yourself, show your true colours" should apply to alterhumanity as well! Oftentimes I don't think it even applies to LGBTQ+ honestly it depends on who's saying it to who. I believe your example and focus is misdirected. LGBTQ+ people may be more accepted nowadays, but we still receive hate, judgement, alienation, even genocide. So I agree on acceptance and the statement applying to anyone, including alterhumanity. But not on the comparison at all. And idk really how to reflect that in the poll tbh
-Someone both alterhuman and LGBTQ+
Ah my bad again! I never meant to shift the blame on the LGBTQ community! I may have phrased it wrong again.. I was only trying to set a harmless example (which CLEARLY didn’t work.. like always)
I’m sorry you understood it in a bad way! I just needed to compare it with something that’s more known and (sometimes) accepted. I only used examples of an environment that’s accepting because I needed to show you the difference, if I wore ears in the street, I’d look weird, if I wore a pride pin, (I’m not lgbt btw) or something that represented my gender/sex, there’s a lesser chance that it’s weird, NOT SAYING ITS NEVER GOING TO BE, just saying it’s less likely compared to wearing gear for therianthropy and such
do you get my point? I hope I phrased it right.. and do tell if I didn’t phrase it better

i read through the entire dsm the other day and the amount of times aspd shows up outside of its entry and criteria specifically for the specific purpose of demonizing it is honestly disgusting. i honestly hope i never get diagnosed, they have it in there that psychs should just assume youre faking literally every symptom of anything else you have at all just for having it
I. Don’t even know what to say about this.
It is so fucking unfair that we get this amount of invalidation just for a trauma response that we can’t control, even professionals, who are supposed to be unbiased and help us and all that shit, treat us as subhuman.
We literally cannot exist in peace, can we?
This comes back to my belief about Cluster B safe spaces being imperative to our very survival. We are literally not safe anywhere that is not specifically for CBers.

I single handedly changed the course of this world because Donald Trump and his ghouls were a threat to everyone in it. In all the multiverse he was never supposed to be more than a laughable clown. Something happened here and it seems many people are filled with such greed and delusion, and he was cheerfully elected president of a stolen land.
Ive observed events here for years, maybe I missed something but theres never been anything supernatural in this realm. There are no actual angels or demons, no longer any remaining deities. I've never personally even seen a ghost.
But the multiverse is real, and certain magics are as well. The cost of using chaos magic to elicit a change on a world scale is extremely great.
One could hope to have stirred the Creator to intervene, but without a unified goal, we have little effect in gaining their attention. There is too much division amongst the people of this world. And too many other worlds with thier own needs. We dont get training wheels forever.
As to why I messaged you? Well you have travelled to other realms before too, have you not? It leaves a trace on your soul that one can sense.
I once called you the spawn of Ungoliant, in this realm you have found your own light and your hunger has been for words and knowledge, no longer do you resemble the primordial spider of darkeness, the apple fell very far from the tree, yet your knowledge of webs remains ingrained. Remember that so many things are connected, tv, movies and books are manifested visions of other worlds. We can get from this world what we put into it, and it can echo out to other worlds.
We can create our own paradise, likewise we can create our own hell.
I am not sure what level of pride it takes to think you can take down a politician (I don't overly judge it, because I am an epic prick on a bad day...and on a good day, with a smirk), however, there is no doubt the powers of this country have been less than desirable.
I do not care for any politicians to be blunt about it, simply because I have not seen proof they give one true wit about any of us as human beings. I do not appreciate the presence of those who are given seats of power or wealth treating everyone else as though they are subhumans or slaves.
As far as the supernatural goes, that’s your belief and experience of it, but I feel like this is an in depth discussion for another time and under the circumstances I can even trust you...
I do interact with other worlds, and symbolically I guess my abilities can mirror that of a spider (and you're dead on about my hunger for words and knowledge--I love languages and learning)—but, you're misunderstanding that connection/interest--still humorous that you see it as one of Tolkien's creatures specifically. I'm not even insulted.
I definitely have my own light, but it's not "light" in the traditional definition humans usually perceive light to be--it has so much more to do with darkness, and yet is nothing to do with it.
As for matters of Heaven or Hell, I don't have any interest in the creation of realms (literally or metaphorically). I simply want to live a healthy and vibrant experience on Earth until it's my appropriate time to leave it. After that, I have my unique plans I won't divulge.
I am a little apprehensive and suspicious to who you are, but would need more verification if your energy is the energy I'm reading.

You can condemn the actions of Hamas while still remembering that Israel is a colonizer state that has treated the Palestinian population as subhuman for decades. You can condemn the actions of Hamas while remembering that Israel's apartheid against the Palestinian population is no less disgusting than the way white settlers treated native Americans, or the way white settlers treated the aboriginal peoples in Australia, or the way the Spanish treated the Aztecs and Mayans, and it is not antisemitic to say so. You can condemn the largest killing of Jewish people since the holocaust without pointedly refusing to acknowledge that, in this case, the Israeli government caused this to happen through their constant abuse of the Palestinian people.
If you have a problem with Israel because it's governed by Jewish people? That's fucked up and you should feel bad and examine your shitty biases. Also, consider fucking yourself with a large metal pipe. You've been a shitty person up til now; I invite you to learn more about the culture you've so readily demonized and leave your bigotry behind you. Maybe start making reparations in the form of donations to your local synagogue.
On the flip side, if you're hiding behind "oh, but our people have been victims of genocide before" or "this is the largest killing of our people since the holocaust" in an attempt to somehow imply that, because you were victims of a horrible tragedy, you are unable to be the aggressor? I have a beachfront house in Ohio to sell you. Having horrors visited upon you does not excuse turning around and inflicting horrors on another group of people. Those people were not targeted for being Jewish, they were targeted for being colonizers who forced Palestinians out of their homes and treated them like second class citizens; while I cannot condone the behavior of Hamas (which again, is specifically horrifying), I also cannot blame the Palestinians for turning to violence given that no other avenue exists for them.
You can condemn what Hamas is doing and condemn Israel's Colonialism at the same time. Palestine still deserves to be free regardless.

also hot take (?): but vampires DO have souls. the creation of a vampire in btvs lore is literally that a demonic essence/spirit/spiritual energy (in this instance a vampiric one and not some other kind of demon) enters a human corpse and parasitically latches on, altering the human corpse to better suit it with an initial burst of spooky evil demon magic (which is part of why i never think any lore that says vampire can't do magic makes sense like, how do you think they even function fam?). it then uses the info and identity of the former inhabitant that's all still locked up in those dead synapses to help it acclimate to the new dimension and build a sense of identity. you can argue that the vampire is not your dead friend but what is a person if not their memories and thoughts? all of which the vampire now shares too. so that's a fun little thing to puzzle on in philosophy class.
vampires in the buffy world are pretty explicitly a manufactured creature built of a demonic essence/entity grafted into a human cadaver which merge to make a new species which is why they're so low on the demon hierarchy. they're the most mongrel-y of all the half-breeds. what is the soul if not a spiritual essence that fuels and motivates the body? the metaphysical component that makes the system complete? what is the vampire of not a perversion of the human condition? does it not then stand that the vampire soul is the twisted mirror of the human one?
the thing is that while this is Kinda Common Sense when you sit down and just look at objectively how the vampire is made it's a dangerous concept in universe and we fall pray to believe the same propaganda built to ensnare our characters.
the slayer was made in almost the exact same process as a vampire only with a living subject-- a demonic essence grafted into a human host. there is no magic leash on a slayer, there are no words that can be chanted to bring her to heel, the watchers have to use standard psychological manipulation to control her. a slayer who realizes that she has more in common with vampires on a fundamental level than she does humans (tho not on a moral or motivation level obvs) is very dangerous to their control and to the concept of "slayer as sheepdog" as a whole. conditioning them to see vampires as animals and not sentient humanoid beings with thoughts, feelings, hopes and dreams, who have souls that while demonic are no less valid in their existence then any human one is integral to keeping the machine working and keeping your young emotionally/mentally vulnerable weapon from having a nervous breakdown because she just you know, massacred a whole bunch of people. fangy people, but people none the less.
btvs and the watcher council mentality the main btvs cast is tainted by is incredibly human centric, watch even a little of ats and it becomes glaringly obvious. ats is extremely flawed but one of it's strongest points was letting us see the expanded world of demons and non-human culture. the issue is then that buffy and co come off as rabid human-centrists because of how they talk about vampires and demons as a whole. there's a reason tara didn't want them to know she was half demon when she thought that line was true. the scoobies spout anti-demon rhetoric like it's their jobs. the way they treat anya is horrendous and it's because she has the Taint of demon and neurodivergence coding (which is a whole different kettle so).
the continued talk about spike like he's a subhuman while he's either at their mercy or on their side is galling. you cannot be called the good guys and then treat other sentient creatures like animals and vermin to be killed or mocked for your amusement. full stop. you cannot claim a moral high ground and behave like this which is what the scoobies consistently claim. they believe they are in the moral right and have the moral high ground consistently. when in reality they are pretty fucked up and have done repugnant immoral shit multiple times (hello all the various scoobie caused invasions of personal autonomy!). you can be a protagonist and have uh... Dodgey Morals™ (ex. the punisher) but when you claim you are better because you have better morals but also refuse to see the other side as even worthy of being seen as a truly living creature with like feelings and shit now i'm treating you with contempt.
there are people who will say that buffy was the sole victim of the toxicity that is s6 spuffy but if you believe that you also are tacitly agreeing that her belief that spike is an "it", an animal with no bodily autonomy to respect or feelings to hurt or be manipulated is true. and why? because he's a vampire? he has a soul, a demonic soul. he literally would not exist if a metaphysical entity/force hadn't entered william pratt's fucking corpse and make it theirs. this is an inherently repugnant act and even if we all sit down and agree she did nothing else to contribute to this toxicity she still looked another sentient being who she knew had some kind of feelings for her, used his want and his desperation to abuse herself with and spent the entire time considering him as something between cattle and a lamp. i'm sorry but that's wildly fucked up at it's core and if you can't see that i worry for you.
what if she was dating a nice half-bracken guy and she did all that shit to him? if he tried to stop her from turning herself in for a crime she didn't commit and then beat him bloody and called him an it, a thing, not a person, not real? are you still okay with that because he's a demon? are humans the only species in your eyes with the right to personhood in this universe? do you, like buffy and co, prefer to take the words of a group known to manipulate everything and who treat girls like buffy as things themselves over the evidence you see before your eyes on screen and the actions and words of the demons themselves? buffy's actions towards spike from s4 to s6 are repugnant because they're no longer enemies and she's no longer the council's attack dog but she still refuses to give him the basic decency of personhood.
and you can get into all kinds about shit about how vampires are evil and he's done terrible things and i will not respect you for using any of that to try and say it's okay to treat someone who you relay on or are in any kind of relationship with like they're a thing. otherization and depersonification are tools used to make it "okay" to commit atrocities. for every spike who you say it's "okay" to treat like an animal, there's a harmony who isn't really all that bad and happily switches to bagged blood and integrates pretty peacefully into human society when given the chance. and she will get put right next to spike as an animal to be killed because she doesn't matter. using his past actions to deny him the right of personhood is a lazy tactic to divert the discussion and absolve buffy and co of moral failings.
the nazis are also evil, but i will not deny they are people. doesn't mean i wouldn't take the shot if i had one if i was put in that position. it just means i acknowledge i ended a life that probably meant something to someone. and that's my issue with buffy and co. that's my issue with "vampires are soulless" and buffy's treatment of spike in s6 and how people talk about it. regardless of literally anything else either of them did, denying another sentient being the right to be acknowledged as one while still demanding things from them is inherently a core repugnant act. she is willing to use his feelings and body for her advantage but also refuses to respect them as real and just as valid as hers. again, how would you feel if she treated lorne like this? if she demanded things of him but didn't respect his basic right to be seen as a valid sentient being just like her?
in btvs vampires have souls, demons have souls, and they all deserve the basic decency to have that acknowledged. even by the slayer. especially by the slayer frankly since she is also in her own way One Of Them and if she's going to hunt them down and kill them she can at least acknowledge that she ended a life and didn't just flip an off switch. if you can't get with this whole concept of the validity of non-human life in a universe where the MCs humanity is frequently questioned and the Other and Otherism is frequently a theme then i really am not interested in talking to you.
#meta#gOD THIS IS SO MUCH LONGER THAN I'D PLANNED#but i have VERY strong feelings about this#vampires have souls argue with the wall#no cut we die like men

I was right in my earlier guess that XX has no idea about HY’s illness (and I love that the one thing XQC has never done, however mad he got, was to break confidentiality - or hit where he knows it would hurt by telling HY he’s insane or w/e.) But I think this is one of the reasons XX is appealing to HY - he can be a perfect self in front of her. But then how could one ever be truly with someone who doesn’t know you at all, let alone seen you at your worst and still loves you. Love without knowledge is not love.
I love this!!!! Meatbun knows family dynamics so well!
Oooooh, plot crumbs!!! I wonder who “he” is - is he the creepy dude mentioned at the end of chapter? Or someone else? And what connection does he have?
THIS!!!!
This, to me, is likely to be the crux of the book. Both of Meatbun’s previous novels that I’ve read have a theme about how othering is horrible and pernicious and dehumanizes not just those on the receiving end but also on the giving end. Yuwu and 2ha have little in common but they do have a pairing one of whom is viewed very much as part of the existing power structure (Mo Xi is an aristocrat in Yuwu, CWN is a respected cultivator and not BBBF) and a person outside of it (Gu Mang, being a slave and a traitor and someone whose whole body has been demon-transformed and who lost part of his souls is an outcast/outside the structure many times over, Mo Ran is not just BBBF but he’s a child from the gutter who was looked down and brutalized long before BBBF could have become an issue because he was, by societal measures, a nobody.) And the one thing her “in with the power structure” protags like Mo Xi and CWN have in common, despite being very different as characters, is refusal to play by those rules, to accept the innate prejudices and assumptions. And I think this novel is setting up the same dynamic.
But the other thing her two danmei novels have in common is the concept that being humane is good for everyone, not just the victims. It’s the horrors of BBBF thing that created Shi Mei and eventually destroyed one universe and almost took down the second, and it’s the horrors of slavery that led to the sorcerer ruler of Yuwu and everything that cascaded. When you treat others are not humans, you run the risk of making that true and then you would have created your own monsters and richly deserved it.
God, I love this so much!
Also, his apology was actually sincere OMG. We keep getting small hints that despite his attitude and chip on his shoulder and pure teen cussedness, HY is a decent person - he takes care of that old homeless man, for example. And he tries to say to himself it’s because it would make XX happy but we know that’s not it.
!!!!!!
Seeing how Meatbun’s modus operandi is to let you know her protag’s worst fear and then give it to them in spades, I predict that at some point in the future, He Yu is gonna be locked up and treated as an experiment and a subhuman. Not by XQC but that shadow org would sure love to get their hands on him. I can’t wait for Meatbun to break me!!!
Dude - your main feeling about dating XX is that it will piss her brother. Come the hell on, wake up and realize who you like!
Hi there, plot!!! Nice to meet you. Gimme lots and lots of pain!

Ayo @madamefaust ? You gonna tell me why you're writing about the white ass french De Chagny's being involved in the SLAVE TRADE?
Playing into the tragic mulatto trope by making Raoul half Black for some diversity points? (See the word bastard when referred to Raoul's Blackness.) All for some fucking fanfiction?
Do you even know the implications of naming a Black/White biracial child a bastard and flat out stating that their white side was involved in the slave trade? It means that child's mother was possibly r*ped. You are implying that Raoul's mother was a victim of slavery and sexual trauma. You are playing into the tragic mulatto trope. You are anti-Black.
You decide to write Raoul as Black. Then you state that his family is involved in the slave trade in the description AND ON TOP OF THAT YOU MAKE HIM A TRAGIC MULATTO. How do you even sound? 💀 FUNNY how you only care about writing Black characters when it's to exploit and fetishize Black trauma for this lily white ass fandom. Much less, for a pharoga fic! (I know most of you pharoga shippers/writers are white. Yes that's a bad thing!)
Is you even BLACK too, madamefaust ? 🤔 And don't give me that "oh I did my research" I DO NOT CARE. IT IS NOT IN A NON-BLACK'S INTERESTS TO BE WRITING BOUT US. You don't speak for us. ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO SLAVERY LMFAOOOOO
Let me not forget the fact that she based Raoul's story off the Dumas family. Alexandere Dumas was a biracial Black and White man who wrote the Three Musketeers. His Father, Thomas Alexandre Dumas was a born into slavery in Haiti but was freed and fought in the French army under Napoleon. Do you know how disrespectful it is to base a fictional white aristocratic family off a Black family traumatized by slavery and anti-Blackness for your fanfic? Did you know that many of these BLACK PEOPLE in Haiti suffered brutal conditions under slavery by the French? That many of them died in the Haitian Revolution obtaining their freedom. How could you be so disrespectful as to base off A FICTIONAL WHITE MAN OFF A REAL LIFE BLACK ENSLAVED FAMILY?? MUCH LESS FROM HAITI OF ALL PLACES??????
Do you think slavery is a fun joke? Do you think that me and many other members of my diaspora not knowing where we come from as a result of COLONIALISM and ENSLAVEMENT is something to use as a fanfic trope? Do you think this is a fucking game to you? That making an aristocratic white french family being aligned on the slave trade cute to you?
FUCK YOU.
This is everyone who left a kudos and bookmarked. Fuck all y'all. Notice any familiar faces? 🤔
I don't expect nothing from this fandom about blocking and accountability cause y'all stay being weirdly racist + colorist with the Daroga, interacting with transphobes and all other types of heinous shit.
So I just want you all to know that hell is a hot place if you keep interacting with this person. And madamefaust? Stay the fuck away from Black people and don't forget to donate to Black Trans Women if you even have a slight bit of remorse. I know you be interacting with them transphobes around here (we can see who you reblog from. I know you've seen the call out posts).
That includes the rest of y'all in this fandom too. Since we're on the topic of anti-Blackness, non-Black people in this fandom love to make and share fanart of Black Christine, yet they call and paint Erik as abusive while they draw their Black Christine fanart. What does that tell you, when you have a Black woman in a relationship or friendship with a white man, who you view as abusive? This implies that you want Black women to be abused. You people claim to love Norm Lewis' Phantom and interact with non-white adaptations of the characters yet you paint Erik abusive and depraved. So why do you like Norm's Erik so much, huh? What does that tell you about how you see a Black Erik? You people profit off the pain and consumption of Black people under the guise of your false representation. You are anti Black and cover it under the guise of, "we welcome everyone."
You don't.
You don't make Black fans safe with interacting with @filthybonnet an anti-Black terf as well as madamefaust who thinks she's so high and mighty as to exploit Black trauma under the guise of "historical accuracy". You don't make Irani, darkskinned and Muslim fans feel safe when you fetishize the Daroga or call him slurs under the guise of calling out racism. The monkey "jokes" aren't funny. You are colorists. You make make mentally ill fans unsafe when you demonize Erik's trauma. You make fans with facial differences unsafe when you demonize Erik's face. You consistently make trans women unsafe by refusing to stop interacting with terfs. We can go on forever.
And if you just scroll past this post, knowing what goes on in this bullshit ass fandom, you're part of the problem. I bet y'all don't even care anyways.
Anyways Happy Black History month and fuck the ph*ndom.
I do not like y'all.
I better not see not one of y'all ever interact with my fics. I'll see all y'all in hell ♥️ and I do hope all y'all block me too. That's what you're good for anyways LMFAOOOOO
Better not see y'all bum asses talmbout ooh "I love Norm Lewis' Phantom. Ooh, I love Derrick Davis Phantom 🥰" while y'all support this anti-Black racist white woman. You only love Black people when they're suffering or when they're performing for you. You consume our pain and trauma and expect us to hold hands with you while you view us as subhuman. Similar to how y'all treat Erik.
Must be why you like Black Phantoms so much. Anyways.
Oh look what we have here! madamefaust putting out some performative ass shit about how she "loves" Norm Lewis whilst writing the tragic mulatto trope ft slavery on Raoul De Chagny 🤔
(I won't delete this btw, it's people like you that make this fandom impossible to navigate as a non-white person. You are a grown ass woman. I'm sure you can handle the pressure if you can write a slavery AU. I ain't listening to your non-Black crocodile tears too, so don't come into my inbox playing kumbaya cause it's not gonna work on my ass. Go read a book on anti-Blackness if you're such a librarian or better yet? Stay away from Black people all together. I know you be liking and reblogging posts featuring and from Black people too. I'm not accepting no apology neither. Go take that up with my ancestors.)
P.S: A colonized person venting out their oppression via the medium they enjoy is different from a privileged person weaponizing oppression for their own consumption and enjoyment. The historical traumatizing brutalization of Black PEOPLE is not your little plaything.

you know, i’ve actually been thinking about the mpreg Omegatooth ask a bit more the past couple of days...
they really don’t *need* to take care of each other physically, they both know that. they’re both highly trained killers, with healing factors, and decades of experience. they know the other can handle themselves, so there’s a bit of a piece of mind there that you know you don’t *need* to protect your partner, that you now they’ll come back at the end of a mission.
but you know what they do need; emotional support. they’ve both been dehumanized their whole lives, Victor being reduced to an animal and Arkady being reduced to a weapon to justify their mistreatment at the hands of others. they’re both products of some very harsh times and settings, but no one ever tries to address that. both were hated, feared, and rejected by their families (with some good reasoning i totally admit), then taken and lied to while being torn apart and put back together by their respective governments, kept alive against their wishes, cloned without consent, refused the proper medical treatment that would improve their lives and reduce the problems they cause, and just over all treated as subhuman.
but that’s why Vic’s speech and treatment of Arkady in Weapon X-Force was such a big deal;
this was the first time in a long time anyone treated Arkady like he was a person, not a weapon. and Victor ain’t lying, because he’s been there himself (also ha just noticed that these two panels are mirrors. nice)
so how they take care of each other, is by actually talking, communicating, and being respectful.
back to my writing here;
i said that Arkady goes out of his way to educate himself about feral biology and whatnot, to better help Vic when he’s in heat, and eventually how to better help their kids
Arkady feeds on Victor, with his consent, to fuel his healing factor should the need arise; they’ve talked about the limits and what not
yes they don’t have to hold back any aggressive foreplay because of healing factors, but they also don’t have to censor the nasty parts of their histories with each other; they’ve both seen it all and done it all
i’ve mentioned Vic having issues with his omega-identity, and Arkady stands with him to work through it; Arkady’s gay, he likes men, Victor is a man unquestionably
similar note, this being the first time Arkady’s been allowed to be openly gay, and not demonized for it, allowed to go and experience things at his own pace
they just...understand each other. what they’ve been through, what they’re going through, and what they really want. they both just want to be treated as people, not locked up as monsters

SpeedAnon here. Oh sweet goddesses we are going to end up in the world of Shimoneta aren't we? FOLKS banning hentai and porn DOESN'T SOLVE ANY PROBLEMS AND MAKE MORE PROBLEMS! Because nobody wants to be mature and actually explain how sex and nudity actually works! Ugh I'm sorry I just hate how the world is treating porn and hentai like it should be a book burning!
No need to apologize, SpeedAnon, because you’re sharing a sentiment that I spent my first few active years on this hellsite talking about: how fruitless the demonization of erotica and NSFW material are and how the Western world’s “Hand-Shake-and-a-Spit-Take” approach to sex is insulting at best and potentially harmful at worst.
And it really does reek of shifting the focus and a little bit of racism in some cases. You have shit like legitimate groomers and child predators basically being out in the open on sites like Twitter (oh, they JUST now started trying to make it against their ToS to share such material and promote ‘MAP’ mindsets. Good job, it only took Twitter how many years of supporting these people to gain a conscious?), but if they go on about how porn is the devil or how ‘hentai freaks’ are subhuman, then people miraculously ignore these people talking about their horrific lusts for real, flesh-and-blood minors. Actual human beings who need people defending them and helping to remove them from the sick bastards who would hurt them, NOT some lines and colors on a screen that will fade from your consciousness the moment you scroll past.
I love how there are some people praising these terrible decisions, too. Not only because, as some people have found out, that the one in Australia didn’t just apply to hentai but also to several run-of-the-mill, completely SFW anime as well, but it just goes to show how shallow some people are in their criticisms of censorship and governmental reach.
“Oh, we have to fight against fascism and the misinformation in our media -- Oh God, yes Daddy Government~! Call me a bad girl/boy and tell me what fictional content I can and can’t watch/read/consume~!!”

I sound like I'm making someone up to get mad at but like I swear to god I have seen people do this, and like the second take very much reminds me of the people who don't understand why Quasimodo and Esmeralda don't get together at the end of the movie, bcs they don't realize that demonizing women and idolozing them are BOTH forms of dehumanization. And to his credit Quasi does change the way he views her(and tbh the only reason he idolized her in the first place was because she was one of the only people who didn't treat him like a subhuman freak, I can't judge him too harshly for growing up without affection and latching on to the first person who offered him some), but like the reason Esmeralda ends up with Phoebus is because he was the only one who saw her not as an infallible angel or soulless demon, but what she is, a human being. Capable of good and evil, kindness and cruelty, flaws and strengths.
If you act like Riza shouldn't be held responsible for her actions in Ishval not only are you like, completely missing the point of the story, but you're saying women are different and special and thus aren't capable of evil, which is very much dehumanizing. Riza is a person, and yes she was just following orders and we absolutely can talk about the nuance of how disobeying orders could have lead to her death and she isn't a bad person for wanting to continue living, AND we can acknowledge that of she didn't kill those people someone would have, but she makes it very, VERY clear that that does not fully absolve her of her actions. She still killed lots of innocent people. She had agency. And tbh she'd be the first person to absolutely deck anyone who spouted bioessentualist bullshit about women being pure and good and thus not capable of evil, because that is no different than acting like women are supposed to be pure and harmless and stay home raising kids and that they're not as smart or strong as men so they shouldn't be trusted to make important decisions in the first place.
You absolutely have to recognize that women are people. They aren't better or worse than men. They aren't special, they can do good and evil, they should not be demonized OR idolized. They should be respected and afforded the same rights as any other person. Including the right to be held responsible for their mistakes(within reason ofc, some people on this site are way too harsh on female characters for even minor fuckups and that's not okay either). If you don't start from there your feminism will always be flawed. Bioessentialism isn't suddenly okay when you reverse it and treat women like they're better than everyone else and men like they're stupid evil animals who can't be trusted.
Judge people by their actions and beliefs, not whatever gender they happen to be.
anyway "Roy apologists DNI" vs "Roy is the only family Ed and Al have" fight
#sorry but bioessentialism is a fucking plauge and I HATE how modern “progressive feminisim”#has fallen for it hook line and sinker#remeber we arent trying to become the boot on people's necks#we're trying to GET RID OF THE BOOT#idolizing women doesnt fix anything

Kanao, Inosuke: Learning to be Human Again
As I’ve stated before the fights in the final arc against the upper moons are not just life or death battles, but climaxes for the themes surrounding each character. By fighting Doma the most inuman and heartless of the demons, both Inosuke and Kanao rediscover their humanity together and find their emotions once more.
1. Humanity is taught, Emotions are Learned
At the beginning of her fight with Doma, Kanao accuses him of being what is basically referred to in popular culture as a “born psychopath” or “sociopath”, a trope in which a charcater is unable to feel human emotions the same way as everybody else and was simply born that way.
However, from Doma’s backstory we know personally that this is a learned behavior, and he is in fact capable of feeling for others or feeling emotions in his heart it’s just he never truly connected with anyone until he fought against Shinobu.
Doma’s heartless behavior is something he learned, not something he was borned with. He was utterly dehumanized by both of his parents and treated as the center of a religion from a young age. He was basically raised in a cult and denied any oppurtunity to see him as a person. Not only that but both of his parents used him completely in their own self interest. Every single adult around him used him in some way. He felt no connection to them. He was not able to mourn them when they were dead even, because they died once more completely due to their own self-interest and greed not thinking of their child once.
Ironically despite seeing through the false nature of the cult Doma turned into exactly what his parents intended him to be. He did not grow up a human child that was loved, he did not grow up with his own center of identity, he stayed in the center of the cult his entire life and lived as a symbol rather than a person because he was never treated as one.
Doma sees no meaning in life because no one has shown him any. He has no connection to anybody in life. Even though he despises the cult he’s also stayed with it his whole life, because he has nowhere else to go and nothing else to do. All of these views are not something he was born with, it was something he learned due to the selfish actions of all the adults around him. Doma takes pity on people who constantly grapple with what he believes is a meaningless life, but at the same time he’s the most pitiful one at all because he cannot see any meaning in his own life. He gets nothing from continuing to live, he feels no connection to anybody, or anything in this life.
Doma expresses the fact that he never felt sad or lonely in life, but considering how isolated he was it was probably more akin to those were the only things he felt. He just did not know the difference one way or another. Doma had no connection to living, he had no life of his own, nobody ever perceived him as a person and therefore all of the things which make life worth living were nothing more than fleeting dreams to him. He came to look down on humans living their own lives because he was never allowed to live his.
Even Doma had the capability to connect, it was just not until he met Shinobu someone who was so utterly like him and lived an equally empty life that he began to feel things. Humanity is not something people are born with, it’s something that’s given to you by the people around you.
Without people in your life it’s impossible to know who you really are. Humans discover themselves in their interactions with other people. It’s almost like their hearts belong to others. Doma who never had any kind of genuine interaction in his life, lost sight of his heart, and then inevitably in himself.
2. Kanao and Inosuke, relearning their Humanity
The question is then how does Kanao zero in on this trait so immediately? It’s because she is the same as Doma, she does not regard herself as a person either. This is a clear case of projection, Kanao doesn’t believe she was born a person so she accuses Doma, she perceives in others of the flaw she fears in herself.
The reason we are given for Shinobu feeling nothing but anger herself is due to the fact that she lost almost everybody in her life. Not only that, but the people she surrounded herself with also lost all of their families. Shinobu saw life as irepparably empty without those people in it, and at the blank expanse of void in front of her she could only feel anger to fill it.
As Shinobu loses the people around her, she becomes less and less human. We see the same happen with Kanao, she too is unable to feel her emotions properly. Even when she feels upset she cannot cry. She saw herself as lesser than the people around her because she was unable to express herself.
Kanao’s major distinguishing characteristics have been how emotionless she was for most of the manga, and how witholding she was with her true thoughts and feelings especially around Tanjiro.
Kanao ironically adopts the same views as Doma to cope. She stops seeing herself as an individual person with wants and needs and instead she views herself as someone listening to the orders of others. She is unable to find her own heart. She even says the same things as Doma, that things around her are meaningless and nothing she does will matter therefore she does not have to make her own choices.
This is something learned from her environment as well. Not only by the way people mistreated her when she showed her emotions, but also because of the loss of her family around her. She lost her ability to cry. She could no longer mourn others properly or let herself feel those feelings, lest she be consumed by the lost.
But we see this is somethnig Kanao eventually recovers from as well. Despite having lost everybody in her life, due to the fact that she was more open than Shinobu to living the way Kanae wanted her to, and valuing the people around her Kanao was able to open herself up to the people around her. Humanity is something easy to lose, but it can always be found in the people around you.
Inosuke is also someone who has lost his humanity, and his ability to connect with other people due to his isolation. He just reacts the opposite way of Kanao. Kanao shuts everything out and never displays her own emotions, not making decisions for herself, not even speaking for herself most of the time. Inosuke is the opposite, he makes no attempt to control himself, he just acts on instinct all the time like a wild animal would, and he also does not abide by or cooperate with the others around him at the beginning of his arc. He has no interest in other people and only ever follows his own instinct.
Kanao and Inosuke view themselves as inhuman in different ways. Kanao is subhuman like a servant, who has no free will to decide on her own because she views herself as lesser than those around her. Inosuke is egocentric like a child is, he only cares about his own wants and needs at the start of the manga and does not see the people around him either, he does not see himself as human but as a rampaging boar who can do whatever he wants due to strength. He sees himself as someone abandoned and with no family, and therefore no connection to others.
The reason besides the connection to his mother that the pinky promise is so important to Inosuke is because it’s the first sign of connection he sees from another person. It’s the first time he clearly understands that someone is showing concern for his well being. Inosuke is egocentric like a child, in that he only really perceives himself and his own thoughts and does not notice others, because he was raised without any parental figures and never properly grew up. He is literally a feral child with only the vaguest notion on what it is to be human.
Inosuke even says so himself, he has no mother because he was raised by the boars. Due to the fact that he does not see himself as someone that was loved by a mother, it’s difficult for him to perceive himself as human. Inosuke views himself as an abandoned child, deep down he always feared that his parents did not love him and carelessly threw him away that was why he was so uncomfortable pretending to be human, and why he always hid his own face with the bore mask. Which is why the revelation that his mother actually got killed trying to save him, and wanted to live with him is something that shocks him so deeply.
At which point we bring up the same question of meaninglessness. Did her life have no meaning because she died so miserably? It’s a question that every character in this fight who has experienced loss comes against, or Doma who never had that love in the first place.
But Inosuke recovers by remembering his mother’s affection for him. He was no longer an abandoned child, but rather a child who his mother loved, and desperately wanted to spend her whole life raising.
Which is why he was finally able to be put in touch with his own emotions. He was able to feel things properly as a human, because he finally learned he had a family like everyone else, he was not seperate, he was not abandoned.
Just because he lost that mother did not mean her love was meaningless, or that her life was meaningless in the first place. Her love is something that endures on in Inosuke who survived her. Which is once again, the proof that humans lived, their humanity, all that matters in their lives are handed to other people. His mother is gone, but her love for him still remains. Inosuke is able to keep living despite having lost his family, the same way Kanao is.
His humanity was lost and he acted inhuman when he thought he was nothing more than an abandoned child, but reconnecting with the memory of his mother made him remember his own humanity, enough that he was able to connect with his feelings and cry again.
Which is why Kanao, and Inosuke’s fight is so thematically important to the story. Even if it all ends in tragedy, even if you die in a meaningless way, the connections you made in life matter. You are still human, you are still your own person until the end. You lived. Inosuke and Kanao discovered this, they are alive.

I for one was seething while Ms assh... Weaver basically confirmed to her designed punching bag that she keeps her around because she's a decent emotional support for Adora, so... wanna go even deeper and stab the reader s'more?
Oh I love stabbing the reader. And I love this scene so I’ll do the whole fuckin’ thing. (Commentary is bolded.)
This scene really is heartbreaking. It was easy for me to write, though, because Catra and (Shadow) Weaver have a very particular dynamic that I vibe with. It's such a pivotal scene for Catra too, because it confirms her fears that her success would be met with pushback and that Weaver really doesn’t love her or care about her at all. It makes her feel dehumanized both in the sense of being treated as subhuman and being treated as a tool. Something to be kept around only so long as it’s useful, discarded the second it’s not. This is the moment when she learns for certain just how little she means to Weaver and it’s painful to read.
*Content Warning for abuse*
The sound of keys in the front door makes Catra frown in confusion as she unloads the last of her books. No one is ever home this early. Even when Weaver doesn’t have any sponsored clubs or other teacher bullshit to deal with, 3:15 is the earliest she ever gets home.
But Catra’s always had sensitive ears, and those are definitely Ms. Weaver’s footsteps crossing the floor. When the woman pokes her head into the kitchen, no doubt to investigate the smell, Catra gives her a jerky nod. “Went to work after all?”
“No, I had some errands to run,” Weaver replies flatly. “Lying around all day like a lazy sack of meat doesn’t come naturally to me.”
Me @ Weaver:
Bitch she’s baking cookies, she’s clearly not lying around all day. Why you gotta be like that?
“Yeah, me neither,” mutters Catra, deflecting the obvious implication.
“I have something for you,” says Weaver, and Catra can’t help but look up in surprise. Weaver tosses her something and she instinctively moves to catch it. Just before it hits her hands, she realizes what it is and her stomach drops. Fingering the rough edges of the rolled up newspaper, she tries to breathe steadily as she forces her eyes up to meet Weaver’s. (Oh gotta love that trauma response.) The woman looks more unimpressed than predatory right now, but Catra knows better than anyone how that can change at the drop of a hat.
“Looks like your little ploy paid off,” she remarks.
Sighing, Catra sets the paper down on the table. “I told you, it wasn’t a ploy. Just a play.”
“I see. And I suppose the fact that this article was written by a close friend of yours is a complete coincidence.”
LOL clearly Weaver knows nothing about Entrapta if she thinks she could be bribed into writing something she doesn’t believe.
“I had nothing to do with that,” Catra denies swiftly. When Weaver’s expression doesn’t change, she insists, “Really, I swear.”
Weaver’s head tips the slightest bit, that familiar predatory tinge seeping into her eyes and voice. “And why should I believe you?”
Catra huffs, arms crossing defensively over her chest. “Why would I do something I know would get me in trouble?”
“I don’t know, Catra, you tell me,” says Weaver, slowly closing the gap between them. “It’s not as though you’ve been doing that your entire life.”
Me @ Weaver:
Like okay, it’s kinda true. But still.
Tensing more with every step Weaver takes, Catra raises her hands innocently, trying and failing not to shift her weight to her back foot. Not to give ground or show her fear. (This is making me super uncomfortable so I’m probably just gonna keep memeing at you all. Yes, I am aware that this is my fault. No, I am not sorry.) “Look, Entrapta has really strong opinions, and they’re always backed up with facts. I couldn’t just plant the idea in her head to write something like this.”
“Facts, you say?” muses Weaver. She reaches past Catra in a very deliberate show of invading her space, and Catra can’t help but suck a quick breath in through her teeth. But Weaver doesn’t touch her. All she does is pick up the paper and turn it over in her hands as though she is deep in thought. Then the motion stops, her eyes snapping up sharply. “So you agree with her.”
Weaver @ Catra:
“That’s not what I said,” protests Catra, her exasperation showing through her tenuous attempts at staying calm. “Stats are facts, not who deserves what awards or whatever. It’s not like I even care about that.”
Weaver shakes her head, her chuckle positively dripping with condescension. “Oh, now I know you’re lying.”
She is. She really is. And the fact that Weaver knows how much Catra cares and wants praise and approval and still denies her that makes me want to slap a bitch.
Also I just realized how closely this scene parallels the one in 1x04 and that actually wasn’t intentional but I’ll take it, clearly I’ve got the spirit of their relationship down.
“No, I-”
The newspaper smacks Catra across the cheek and she yelps in shock and pain, hand flying to her mouth.
It shouldn’t be a shock, not after 14 years of this shit. It still is, every time.
Ugh, ow.
“Enough of your lip,” hisses Weaver. “You know better than to contradict me.”
Hate is not a strong enough word for how I feel about this woman. Unfortunately there are too many people just like her. I’ve noticed the audience particularly hates this incarnation of Shadow Weaver and I think it’s because when she’s stripped of her magic the tactics she’s left with are far too familiar. I feel the same way.
Catra’s tongue swipes along her stinging lip, checking for blood. It comes back clean, but the lack of physical damage does nothing to calm the quiet rage boiling up inside of her. Weaver has never treated her with an ounce of respect, and now she has the gall to hit her with a rolled up newspaper like she’s a fucking animal. Subhuman. (I mean this feeling comes straight out of Demons but with Catra being human in this au it’s... not worse, definitely not, but it hits differently.) Catra’s fists clench and her chest puffs out as she straightens up to her full height (even if it’s nothing on Weaver).
“Do not touch me,” growls Catra, her voice low and dangerous in a way few people have ever heard it. “Im an adult, that’s officially illegal now.”
Oh, you sweet summer child.
“Oh, you want to talk about the law?” counters Weaver, sounding far too calm in comparison. It just makes Catra angrier. And maybe a little scared. Somehow Weaver always makes her feel out of control, which never ceases to remind her who is in control. (Oof.) “I am under no obligation to let you live here, Catra, let alone at a significant discount. I do that out of the kindness of my heart. (LOL the what now?) Would you rather I throw you out in the streets like the stray you are?”
Yay for another insinuation that Catra is an animal. Nice going, Weaver.
Also, that is one of the meanest fucking lines I’ve ever written for Shadow Weaver and that’s saying something.
Those words hit Catra right in the gut, a blow far more painful than any physical one. They trigger a flood of other words that always seem to find her, stick to her no matter how she tries to slough them off, prove them wrong. Stray, nuisance, brat, worthless, unwanted, unloved...
But she was loved once. She was.
Oh boy, get ready for PAIN. So I wasn’t orginally planning to write this flashback but then I got a Very Bad Idea and I love torturing my readers (and myself) so this happened.
Kneeling in front of the open door, Papi opened his arms for a goodbye hug. When Catra stepped into them, she felt his smile against the side of her head. “Te amo, mija.”
“Yo también te amo, Papi,” said Catra, tiny arms tightening around his neck with a proud grin. He hadn’t taught her that one, she’d pieced it together on her own.
Papi chuckled in surprise and approval, ruffling her wild hair. “You’re a genius, little one. You know that?”
“Yep!” she answered, beaming with the completely earnest confidence only a precocious three year-old can muster.
Baby Catra’s behavior may be slightly inspired by my highly intelligent four year-old niece, who is also biracial with a multilingual father.
A couple playful taps of the horn from the driveway interrupted them, making Papi chuckle once again. Pulling away enough to look Catra in the eye, he winked conspiratorially. “Better not keep Mommy waiting. You know how she is.”
Catra shook her head soberly in agreement. Mommy was notoriously impatient, a speed demon on the road. Catra loved driving with her, laughing like a maniac from the backseat whenever she’d swerve and cuss out the idiots in her way. Those cackles never failed to make Mommy shoot Catra a smile in the rearview mirror, her transitory rage melting away in an instant at the sound. Still, it was never good being on the receiving end of that impatience.
(Catra’s mother is not at all inspired by my sister, however. She drives like a fucking granny.)
Papi quickly pecked Catra on the cheek before standing and waving goodbye, giving an appreciative nod to the babysitter as he pulled the door shut behind him.
He didn’t close it loudly or anything, but no sound is louder in Catra’s nightmares. She never saw either of them again.
“Answer me, Catra,” Ms. Weaver demands sternly.
That was what she had. And this is where she ended up.
Yeah, no wonder this version of Catra just assumes anything good in her life will be taken away. In some ways it might be worse than being Adora starting with nothing, because not only does Adora not remember what she lost in infancy (which wasn’t great to begin with), she has been steadily moving up in the world since. Catra’s had the opposite trajectory.
Suddenly noticing the tears rolling down her cheeks, Catra swipes them away with the back of her hand. Her throat hurts too much to swallow, so she doesn’t even bother trying to settle her voice. Her weakness is already on full display, anyway. Shaking her head, she whispers hoarsely, “No, Ms. Weaver.”
“Good,” Weaver says with finality as Catra sniffles, blinking back more tears. “You still live under my roof, and you will abide by my rules or face the consequences, just like anyone else.”
Oh boy, that’s a little too close for comfort. Again with this version of SW feeling especially despicable to the audience because it’s so familiar.
Just like anyone else. Sure.
Yeah you’re right Catra, go off.
As Weaver starts toward her room, Catra half-heartedly tosses a hand with an empty, resigned sigh. “What rules did I break this time?”
Weaver turns back, her expression dangerous, but Catra can’t muster the enthusiasm for fear anymore. Her eyes are still burning, voice tight with emotion as she confesses, “I’ve tried, Ms. Weaver. I-” Her voice cracks and she shakes her head, pinching her brow in shame. “I never wanted you to hate me.”
brb crying in the club
K but honestly the helplessness here is just heartbreaking. And it’s just like in canon. We saw, Catra did try to be a good soldier and make Shadow Weaver like her, but it was a lost cause. I mean I didn’t pull this dialogue directly from 2x06 but it’s a similar flavor for sure.
When Catra dares to look back up she finds that Weaver’s expression has softened slightly, though she still looks annoyed. “I never said I hate you,” she says, the uncharacteristic gentleness catching Catra off guard. “You’re just more trouble than you’re worth most of the time.”
It shouldn’t be a comfort. But it is, anyway. It is. Catra sniffles again, dipping her head to wipe her eyes on her shoulders.
The fact that this is a comforting answer to Catra is so fucked up and tragic but so befitting of their relationship.
“Though I will admit, you do have a way with Adora,” concedes Weaver, her tone very nearly impressed. “Not everyone can handle someone like that and keep them on task. I’ve had plenty come through my classroom.”
Wow, so we’re just being casually ableist now? Nice.
My thoughts exactly, Catra.
...Ableist and pragmatic.
Catra snorts under her breath, shaking her head as her eyes fall to the floor. How did she never put this together before? “That’s why you’re letting me stay.”
This truly is a gut punch moment. She thought maybe Weaver actually had a bit of affection for her or was invested in her future after all (which tracks for Catra because she is mean to the people she likes) and that’s why she let her stay, but no. As usual, it’s all about Adora. That is not going to bode well for the resentment moving forward.
“She does badly with her routine being disrupted, and she’s come to rely on you,” states Weaver, tipping her head in acknowledgement.
“Plus she’d hate you if you kicked me out,” Catra adds pointedly.
Weaver smiles, all teeth. “It is better for everyone this way, wouldn’t you say?”
Better for you, you mean.
“Sure,” mutters Catra. When that response earns her a look, she corrects herself. “Yes, Ms. Weaver.”
Eyes narrowed into slits, Weaver warns her, “Make no mistake, Catra. Adora would manage if you left us. If your behavioral issues begin to outweigh your usefulness, I reserve the right to evict you.” She cocks an expectant eyebrow. “Am I understood?”
“Yes, ma’am,” mumbles Catra.
Poor Catra, I just...
“I care very much about Adora, and I won’t have you dragging her down with you.”
“I remember,” Catra says numbly, picking at her nails and avoiding Weaver’s gaze.
Ooooooooooof. Why do I insist on hurting myself so much with all these canon parallels?
Studying her intently for a moment, Weaver concludes, “Yes, I’m sure you do.” Then she turns and leaves without another word.
Well that was lovely. Anybody else want to reach through the screen and throttle a bitch? ‘Cause I sure do.
This scene doesn’t cause an immediate reaction on Catra’s part but it definitely moves her to a place where she’s very aware of her role and how useless it is to try to change it (at least in this house), and that makes everything a little more volatile. She’s not at a breaking point yet but she’s getting closer, it certainly takes the wind out of her sails a bit. She will recover in the short term because she is Catra and her stubbornness makes her very resilient, but it weighs her down and eventually she is going to snap. Y’all will love that, I’m sure. ;)
