Devil
Since you could remember you considered yourself strange, something told you that you were different, although you could fit in and live your day to day, something was wrong with you, you saw the children being happy and ignorant, you should be the same, but for But when you tried, sadness invaded you and fear dominated you.
You didn't consider yourself special in the least, you matured quickly, you had your feet on the ground, no matter how much love your parents gave you, they made you recognize how the world worked, before living your fairy tale you had to be aware of your reality, Your parents allowed you, after all, you were their beloved daughter and their money allowed you, to follow your every whim.
You were able to forget your strange thoughts when you believed thanks to the love of your family, your life was hectic, you no longer thought so much that something was wrong with you.
Well that was... until that day.
Your loving parents died.
You killed them, even your older brother recognized it.
"It's your fault"
"you killed them" those words full of resentment.
They hurt... they felt like thorns pricking your entire body, reaching deep inside.
You just wanted your loving family to be happy and proud of you, you had a talent, singing had become a part of you ever since your mother took you to your first class, you wanted to show your family what made you happy.
You were selfish that night begging them and throwing a big tantrum for them to go, even though your father had an important job and your mother had to host one of her fundraising dances.
You were selfish and you killed them.
That night of your recital, Gotham and its horrible alleys, with the scum of people it possessed, criminals who take the happiness of innocent souls, took yours.
Then that feeling came back, the one that was hidden deep inside your heart.
The sadness.
The hate.
The lack of hope.
You were a stranger in your own life, the world even with your title and inheritance.
You were still a child and you were already condemned.
One knock after another was the sound that played like music in an abandoned alley.
The darkness filled the entire mysterious place, the curious eyes could only capture a fist, which was hitting a sack at high speed with great fury, no... it was more than one sack, more than 5 perhaps, they could catch gasps of pain ringing constantly, along with meows and pleas.
A smile was the only light that came out of that dark alley, a very big one with fangs, laughter of fun and ecstasy accompanied the entire terrifying scene.
The blood was splashed with each hit, it spread all over the walls and the floor, it even stuck to the aggressor's clothes like the victims.
Was it a lot of time or was it a little? HA when you have fun time flies.
“Trash,” you spat.
You still heard sounds of pain, ahh and you who thought they could endure it, after all they strutted in front of you like invincible..... they were nothing more than low level demons.
Your old self would have pitied them, poor innocent people, a few tears would have fallen from your eyes, a whole Mary Magdalene or a crying baby.
Well it was a long time ago, not now some time after you met him.
"How about I'm still their prey" you kicked one of the bodies on the floor hard, you saw how it writhed on the floor upon receiving the impact.
You looked at where you ended up, in a lonely alley, devoid of life, without color, no light that reflected humanity, that word had been lost a long time ago, both in this place and in yourself.
They were about 7 demons that you tried to trap under your control, but they refused, they considered you weak, a possible new toy of theirs to destroy, with their smiles of grandeur and egocentrism.
Annoying, very annoying, you considered yourself very patient in the 2 minutes you gave them, you soon went crazy to proceed to finish them off.
Have fun, it was the only good thing that came out of this failed recruitment.
You felt full of life with every blow you gave them, the pleas that came out of their mouths were music to your ears, the blood ohhh you loved feeling it covering your skin, it was indescribable, much more than wonderful.
Hearing sounds of patrols along with the instinct that a hero was approaching led you to move away.
Your heels clicked against the pavement, a slow walk, you were in no hurry, who would suspect a defenseless woman.
And so a great beauty emerges from the darkness, safe and sound, swaying her hips in time with her steps, every curve highlighted by her tight, expensive-looking clothes, silky hair that swayed with her walk, a sweet smile that enchanted to her viewers, one that ranged from innocence to mischief and flirtation.
For skilled eyes, seeing you was a warning, those that easily captured the evil that you emanated, in addition to the small drops of blood that stood out on your face, few captured the demon that you truly were, capable of carrying out many immoral and cruel activities, but almost no one ever saw beyond your charming appearance, the smiles you gave and your way of relating, their gazes were lost as soon as they caught your silhouette.
It was a shame how everyone fell, your claws caught them, you killed those necessary, your plans came first more than mercy and empathy, like chess pieces, you brought people into your games.
Nobody stopped you...
There was a time when you were nothing, just a zero to the left, along with the entire society, you were just a human...
Surrounded by loneliness, without hope, still trying to be an innocent being.
Those words in your memories of your beloved late mother who always told you to be good, patient and help others.
"What beautiful memories" when your innocence still existed.
But then you became a monster, who you were now.
The moment where your old self, tired of everything, ran away from home, the small act of rebellion towards a brother who ignored you, who carried a great resentment against you.
You ended up in a dark forest, full of desperation, desperately screaming for mercy, some strangers without any hint of empathy, stuck a dagger in your heart..
Lying on a floor full of drawings and symbols, you became what you were now.
"You're late," a deep voice filled the silent room.
A couple of characters surrounded a large table.
Everyone dressed elegantly, with extravagant touches.
The girl (according to her words, although she looked like an adult) who dressed as a Lolita, with her dresses full of layers, bows and glitter.
The succubus woman wore the most revealing but at the same time fashionable clothes, silk fabrics with synoptic colors and lace, she really knew how to make them fit.
A muscular man who cared little about things other than fights, but who was pressured to play his role in the best way, that included having a great appearance.
The weak-looking demon, a great scholar, always wore robes and capes, along with his round gold-plated glasses.
The great being with a goat's head, in a black suit.
Although some seemed more capable than others, they were all strong, you made sure of that when they joined together, demons with great potential to ally with.
“I had some earrings” you walked towards the large table.
"Hah seriously....you smell like weak demon blood" the muscular man mocked.
"Well I couldn't help it" you smiled "at least I didn't miss it" you scoffed "and the best wins, not everyone is capable of achieving it"
That brought a smile to some, remembering the moment a certain domain of fame of being the strongest warrior was defeated.
You headed towards the back, passing the chairs placed along the table, where everyone was sitting, not even the goat-headed demon could sit anywhere else.
You placed yourself in the only chair located at the head of the table, the place where you looked at all your partners or allies, where they waited for your orders, where you showed that you were the head of everyone, you were the tip of this great pyramid that they formed.
Even with one or two faces of annoyance from the previous ones, you sat down without problem in your chair, your throne.
"Well now you can continue Horns"
You put one of your feet on the chair, you rested your two hands on the table, you crossed your two hands between it and rested your head on top of them, you observed everyone present, some showed nerves and others maintained good composure.
You smiled so much that your fangs stuck out.
It was exciting to see people tremble.
"Brother.. please I..." a hand stopped you from continuing to speak.
"No ____, today I don't have time for your games" again he said your name instead of addressing you as his sister or one of the hundreds of nicknames you had.
He stopped calling you that since his parents' funeral.
And he left you aside, you were no longer part of his life, he was full of hatred for the criminal who killed his parents, he still faithfully believed that he would find the murderer and take revenge.
If it wasn't his training to become stronger, it was his new position as the leader of Wayne Industries.
Time passed slowly, you saw your brother less and less, he began to travel a lot, he never told you, no letter or a shitty conversation.
You stayed in the mansion alone, like all the antiques that were collecting dust.
You were useless, even when you wanted to help your brother, he rejected you.
You tried to take care of him when he was hurt or sick, but he always ordered you to go to your room and leave him alone.
"go away"
You tried to run the big family company, but you only earned more anger, your brother distrusted your intentions, accusing you of trying to sabotage him like the others, of putting him out of business like some adults on the board of directors.
"I don't bother you with what happened that day, or with being a nuisance, now you want to take my place"
"go find someone else to ruin their life"
His harsh words hurt more and more... Your brother still suffered for your parents and you couldn't help him, because he only saw you as the one who killed them.
His smiles disappeared, he was no longer the same child who caressed your head and patted you, he no longer played with you, nor secretly made fun of the extravagant dresses or suits of the rich at galas, he no longer ran away with you when they ran away. from their private language tutors and strange subjects that their parents imposed on them to nourish their child brains.
That little hiding place they built in the library was no longer the same, it was one devoid of joy and light.
Now that great shelter full of games and food was nothing more than a miserable hole where you lay down to cry until you fell asleep, where you remembered your beloved family.
The smell of happiness still lingered, but over time it faded.
You were alone, without your dear parents who were always supporting you and paying attention to you even if they were very busy.
You lost your brother who blamed you for everything.
School was no better, the children began to treat you with pity or ignored you, you were no longer a benefit to their family so why hang out with you.
The world was so big, full of people, but no matter how much you tried to get attention, to beg for someone to look at you, no one did, you were a ghost that no matter how much you screamed, you pulled desperately at someone's clothes, no one did. recognized.
It wasn't a surprise when your brother sent you to a girls' boarding school.
You accepted it, without any complaint, as you always did, not just because of a vague promise but rather because of that feeling that prevented you from breaking the rules.
Even with all that, you had to be good, a happy girl, see the positive side.
You promised your mother, even if it was a curse for you, you had to do it.
Be good to the people who hate you, help them, never get angry with someone but understand them, endure everything, wait for your brother who caused you a lot of pain.
Wait for him with open arms when he returns.
It's just that he never came back, and you stopped being you.
You stopped waiting.

Day 2: Hand Kiss
Danny glared at Vlad like he was trying to see through his skin. He'd been acting weird all day. First, Vlad took the day off work, which is fine, he's an adult and everyone needs time off. Then, he offered to take Danny to the park, the one with a playground, a skate park, and an open field. And then Vlad just so happened to have brought a picnic basket that had Danny's favorite sandwich (a BLT without the T) and Danny's favorite cookies. Then he just decided to "swing by" the arcade, that somehow didn't have any people in it, and the two of them got to play whatever they wanted for as long as they wanted. And now, Vlad was leading them towards the Pier Carnival, and Danny had a feeling he was going to suggest they "swing by" that too.
"What's wrong, Danny? Something not to your liking?" Vlad asked and seemed actually worried.
"No, it's literally perfect." Danny said, glaring at him more.
"Then why the death stare?"
"Well, the last time you were this nice to me, my emotions were tied to the weather."
"So what? I can't take you on a nice date without it being suspect." He didn't actually sound convincing.
"I mean, yeah," Danny admitted. "This feels like one of your old schemes."
Vlad made a disgruntled sound then quickened his pace. "I thought something that felt more go with the flow would suit you better, but if not, then come on. We're going to go have a good time and things will continue to be perfect."
Vlad did lead them to the carnival and they did have a good time. Well, Danny did. His main problem with the supposed perfect date was... well, they didn't do anything Vlad liked. Vlad dates were fancy dinners and museums. He'd spend hours dressing Danny up like a doll to make sure his outfit was perfect, and then they'd go somewhere that would kick you out for wearing shorts or burping too loud. The best date Danny can remember them going on was right in the middle - a fancy fundraiser dinner at the observatory. Vlad got to talk snob with the other rich guests and Danny got to see the new museum wing before the rest of the public. Sure, it wasn't the fanciest of dinners and Danny had to wear an uncomfy suit, but they both got to have their fun and spend time with each other.
Danny was still trying to figure out what Vlad's game was, when he realized they were alone. It was past closing time, but not past the time a security person would have asked them to leave. Vlad took Danny out onto the pier, where they could see the sun setting in brilliant color.
"Perfect." Vlad hummed in satisfaction and quickly took Danny's hands in his. "Danny, my beloved little badger. I have loved you from the moment we met, and through every fight we had, and I will continue to love you till the end of time. So I ask..." He pulled a small box out of his jacket and fell to one knee. "Will you marry me?"
Danny blinked at him, his brain still trying to process what Vlad just said. He just, proposed? After an entire day of doing stuff Danny liked, and on a pier at sunset. Danny was taking too long to answer, he could feel it. The ring box in Vlad's hands started to shake and Danny knows Vlad doesn't do well on his knees.
He needed to say something. He needed to say anything. He needed to tell Vlad how much he appreciated their date and how much effort Vlad put into their relationship. "Yeah, sure."
No! Come on! "No, wait, sorry. I mean yes."
Vlad sighed in relief and stood back up, taking the ring from its box and putting it on Danny's hand. Vlad kissed over it gently, then down Danny's hand and threatened to kiss all the way up his arm. But Danny was able to divert his attention, cupping Vlad's cheek and pulling him into a proper kiss. And you know what? Fuck it! He pulled Vlad into a playful dip kiss, like they were ballroom dancing.
Eventually, they stopped kissing. Danny gave Vlad a scheming look. "Alright, when's your next day off?"
"We can't get married that quickly, little badger. Weddings take-"
"Not for the wedding!" Danny interrupted. "For my proposal!"
"You don't need to-"
"Mines going to be way better than yours."
"It's not a competition."
"Sounds like you're scared you'll lose." Danny joined when Vlad laughed, but it wasn't a joke. His proposal was going to be way better than Vlad's!

Noel being the aunt of the year compilation 😊
Despite her....uh. Lack of tact and at-first-glance unsociable nature, it is kind of easy to become someone she cares about as long as certain parameters are met. She shows it in a funny way, but at least its practical 👍
(more thoughts and OC lore under the cut + bonus noel (murderous flavor. there's blood and all.) )
Vetted Gaza Evacuation Fundraiser List
E-sims donation
I think she would be against beating around the bush re: Zea's mother being dead, because, well...It's kind of a relatable topic for her, innit.
She doesn't exactly know how to...console someone in this situation, let alone a child, but she knows how she feels about her own loss, so that's as good as it's going to get.
Funnily enough, I think she would be a big reason why Zea's views on death would end up being sort of unconventional. I think they would talk with her about it a lot.
Point is, i think they would Understand Each Other. Or rather...Zea would understand her. Which isn't exactly something she's used to? Even with her own family, she didn't feel like she COULD be herself. Felt like she had to change herself to belong.
On her own, she's blunt. She's hard to read. She's weird and abrasive. But there is a sort of gentleness in her approach to the people she cares about. If you squint. And I think Zea would see that, and kind of find comfort in that.
In turn, she will now Defend Them With Her Life.
Speaking of. I think that, despite Zea being a mage, she would make sure to teach them everything she knows about combat. She wants them safe, yes, and that is the main reason why she would train them.
But there's another reason, too: she regrets not teaching her nephew any sort of self defense before he was murdered alongside everyone else in her family home on that one night <3
(Zea Lore Tm for context)
and here's the bonus Noel i promised. Kind of out of left field for the theme of this post i guess but i drew her and i didn't want to just post her on her own so i drew the archery lesson above n then THAT didn't fit the vibe and then-
anyway. this is for the noel likers 🤗

This protest had solid intent but it's unfortunately really frustrating to read about. The article above does a good job of framing it positively, but most of the articles from more widely-read sources maintain focus on the Gala itself rather than the protest, because of course they fucking do; you are not going to have the reach doing this that you think you are unless you actually make it to the location where the event is held and can disrupt the photos, as we saw success with last week at the White House Correspondents Dinner. The odds of making it to the door without a plan are extremely slim, and sure enough, it did not happen this time. Protesters lingered in Central Park; those who did attempt to march on the Gala were blocked by police at every turn. If you're protesting an event as big as this one, you need a way to get your people to disrupt the event itself. At the bare minimum, you need an extensive network of media contacts pushing pushing pushing this on social media and in the news, or you are going to be drowned out by the spectacle.
I am absolutely not saying Don't Protest At Celebrity Events, but for fuck's sake, part of protesting is pushing your cause higher into the public consciousness and that is not going to happen here and it just drives me up the wall. You have to make sure you have laid the groundwork for your voice to be heard when you do something like this! You're marching against the goddamned Met Gala with no strategy to make you bigger and actually get you to the Met Gala? What?
I dunno. I see what they were trying to do, and it did get some news articles. But it does not seem to have succeeded in generating focus the way it would have if they had, you know, actually made it into the crowd at the door. I'm not reading that they had any plan to that effect and it's just so frustrating.
ANYWAY "nobody better be posting about" etc. etc. without also posting a link to a local bail fund if possible. In this case, that'd probably be the Action Bail Fund, which supports protesters in New York. Bucknell has a multi-state list of bail funds as well, though many of these are cause-specific. Do your own research, but please support protesters where you can.
(Here's also a link to a list of Palestinian fundraisers that I believe have been vetted as legitimate. Clicking here will generate a random fundraiser from that list; the website's About page says they prioritize fundraisers that haven't gotten as much attention or have stagnated. So, that's cool. Donate & signal boost, you know the drill; getting more eyes on aid will hopefully help individual people a bit more than just posting a vaguely guilt-trippy link and calling it good.)
nobody better be posting about the met gala without mentioning the giant pro-palestine demonstration going on outside
#''nobody better be posting about blah blee blee bloo; here's a snippy guilt trip and a link to an article; feel bad about yourself''#fuck off lmao#i don't give a single crap about the met gala beyond Ooo Pretty but people are allowed to have interests#suffering and guilt are not fucking praxis and i am sick of needlessly holier-than-thou phrasing with stuff like this#''nobody better post stuff they're interested in without also talking about this'' that is exhausting. and exhaustion helps no one.#so what are you doing.#a vent post that breaks containment is one thing but this seems phrased for sharing. so what. are. you. doing.#and framing it this way is obnoxious. you could just as easily have posted something to generate interest and motivation#look at these people's focus. look at these people trying to center the conversation. they don't appear to be succeeding; let's help.#but no.#just the same old How Dare You Not Post About This Other Thing as always.#i'm so tired.#all of this is to say nothing of the fact that the Costume Institute is the only wing of the Metropolitan Museum of Art#responsible for fundraising to cover its operating costs. like YEAH the gala is a spectacular show of wealth#but it is still fundamentally a charity event#the funds raised go towards maintaining the Costume Institute's more than thirty thousand historical objects spanning seven centuries#I get the frustration with people donating so much money to one cause when another is more pressing#but the quotes in the linked article focus so heavily on materialism and consumption and like. hi. hey have you forgotten#it's a FUCKING MUSEUM. it needs money to function. fundraising is how it covers its costs. by all means protest#but you are protesting something that is basically an art exhibit. benefiting other art exhibits. and the preservation of historical items.#i hate to be like 'maybe save it for the oscars if you can't even get to the door' but. uh. that's kinda where i'm at.#hi i'm big cranky today.

When I first joined Tumblr, I had no idea what I was walking into. There’s no manual for navigating this wild, untamed corner of the internet. My first moment here? I was greeted by an image completely naked, no warning, no explanation. It was just there, bold and unapologetic. That’s when I realized: Tumblr is a place where anything can happen.
But for all its chaos, Tumblr has become something far greater than I ever expected. For us Palestinians, this platform isn’t just a space to scroll through memes or vent about life. It’s a lifeline, a place where we’ve taken the raw, messy energy of this site and turned it into a battleground for survival. Here, we tell our stories, raise funds, and fight for our lives.
I’ve seen campaigns soar past their goals, bringing hope to families barely holding on. But I’ve also seen campaigns like mine, ones that fight tooth and nail for every single dollar, every reblog, every addition, and every ounce of hope. My family’s lives depend on this.
It hasn’t been easy. Zionists flood all Palestinian words with hate, twisting truths and spreading lies. They aim to discredit us, to make people doubt us. It’s exhausting. Some nights, I sit with my phone in my hands, wondering if this fight is too big for me. But then something beautiful happens: a donation comes through, a kind message appears, or someone I’ve never met reblogs my story with words that feel like a warm embrace.
And through it all, people are starting to see the truth. The hate doesn’t drown us; it sharpens our voices. Every day, more people step forward to stand with us, to say, “I see you, I hear you, and I’m with you.” It’s those moments that keep me going.
To everyone who has already helped, whether through verification, donating, wrting post , reblogging, or simply sharing a kind word: thank you. You’ve done more for my family than I could ever put into words. But the reality is, we’re not there yet. My family is still waiting for a chance to breathe, to live without fear, to fill their empty stomachs with warm food, and to wrap themselves in clothes thick enough to keep out the bitter cold. They’re hungry, they’re freezing, and I can’t do this alone.
This fight is hard, but it’s not hopeless. Strangers have become friends, and friends have become family. Some of you have shown up in ways I never imagined, treating my family’s survival as if it were your own. That kind of solidarity? It’s powerful.
Tumblr might be chaotic, unpredictable, and sometimes downright bizarre, but it’s also the place where we’ve built something extraordinary: a community that refuses to look away from injustice. With your help, we can take this fight all the way. My family’s lives are within reach, and together, I know we’ll get there.
This campaign isn’t just about me. It supports 26 people, including two orphaned children and an injured family member suffering from hemiplegia after being hit by shrapnel during a bombing. Surgery is desperately needed to replace the infected and failing plates. The needs are urgent, and the future of 26 lives depends on your support.
The video showing the injured family member is shared before in this post: Link.
Please help us ! Donate and reblog this post to spread our story.

my friend siraj abudayeh (vetted on line 219), who i've posted about frequently, has been fundraising for his family's daily survival since june of this year. read more about him here, here, and here. follow him here: @siraj2024. he is a journalist who writes frequent updates about the situation in gaza, and it is always better to get the story from the source than filtered through a western lens.
as of about a week ago, he had raised over $90,000 CAD / $64,000 USD. he had withdrawn a portion of it to pay for various daily needs, medical care, and rent.
his fundraiser had been under investigation for a few weeks and the organizer, his cousin, even sent all of their government IDs to verify that they are real people.
despite this, gofundme deleted his fundraiser a week ago. he lost over $38,000 CAD ($27,000 USD). that is a monumental loss that would devastate anyone. but in gaza, it is the loss of a lifeline.
gofundme has a pattern of baselessly investigating and terminating fundraisers benefiting palestinians, often waiting until the campaign has reached the end of its goal to terminate it and refund all donors, leaving the refugees in the dust.
in the hopes of continuing to keep his family alive while unchecked capitalism and gang violence in gaza are on the rise, and in the midst of constant bombardment, displacement, and death, siraj has opened another gofundme. this fundraiser is in his sister's name, and is being organized by a trusted friend of his who lives abroad. we hope it will not be met with the same fate as the old one.
if you donated to siraj's old gofundme, please request a refund and re-send the donation to the new link here
thank you

I've been meaning to write this down for some time because there are some fundamental errors that people keep making in crowdfunding/sales that shoot their campaigns in the foot. So here's a list of easy principles.
Who am I and why should you listen to me? I am a freelance chaos marketer who has raised well over $100,000 when totaling up various crowdfunding campaigns, mostly for aid to Afghanistan. In addition I've managed to successfully market everything from stuffed plush koalas to hydration salts. Why am I putting this out here for free? Because despite a years long track record of success in social media marketing no one will hire me because I don't have a college degree, so I might as well help people out who can't afford to hire full time marketing.
If you'd like to hire me to help you evaluate your marketing and sales and teach you better skills on a 1 to 1 basis then hit me up, I am often willing to barter, esp with artists in a variety of mediums!
Anyway on to HOW TO CONVINCE PEOPLE TO GIVE YOU MONEY:
TL;DR: use positive messaging that humanizes everyone involved and make it as easy as possible for people to give you money.
1. Shame and guilt are demotivators. They will not inspire people to give you money. “Why aren't people helping” “I guess people don't care” “This isn't getting enough shares/donations” etc etc. Online fundraising is often frustrating, heartbreaking, and will make you angry, especially when there's a humanitarian crisis involved. It is critical that if you are raising funds for someone else that you have a place to vent that is not the audience you would like to donate to the cause.
2. Use motivating messages instead! “You can help!” “Even a small donation is important because it tells Recipient they're not alone, and people care” “We can't fix the whole world, but we can make this one thing right, and that means something”. Emphasize that this is a problem that the reader can help fix with even a small effort. With items for sale, tell a story. "I drew this thinking about how safe I always felt under a tree in my childhood backyard". "I chose the colors in this shawl to remind me of sagebrush and piñon pine in my favorite place."
3. Make it easy for people to give you money. Never talk about your product or cause without a link that leads directly to where people can give you money. They should be able to click one link on your post and land at the fundraiser or your shop. Every required click is going to lose people, so minimize the number of them required. This also means if you have a list of fundraisers for people to choose from the ones at the bottom will be neglected - people will hit the ones at the top. Be sure to take those off when they're met or periodically shuffle the list around to make sure everyone gets a chance to be in the first 5 spots. In online stores people will often only look at the first page or two of items so be sure to shuffle things around and remove out of stock items that are taking up prime real estate.
4. Humanize the recipient - this can be tricksy when raising charitable aid because you don't want to be exploitative. But to use my last Afghan campaign as an example, “We need to raise $500 for an Afghan family” is less effective than “This Afghan family's home was damaged in heavy rains that caused extensive flooding. They only need $500 to repair and rebuild so they can stay in their home and not become displaced.” If possible, tell as much of the recipient's story as they consent to. Eg “Fred is seven and loves dinosaurs. His favorite is brontosaurus, and he carries a stuffed one with him everywhere. He wants to be a paleontologist when he grows up and discover a complete brontosaurus skeleton that he can give the same name as his stuffed friend. Unfortunately he's also a trans boy living in Texas and his family needs $1500 to rent a Uhaul and get to Colorado so he can grow up in safety and do that.”
5. If you're not the recipient, humanize yourself while you're at it! “I'd be really grateful if you all could share or donate” “This fundraiser really means a lot to me because…” “Thank you so much for any help, whether sharing or donating”
6. Treat the audience like humans. Speak to them like they are people you're having a conversation with, not ATMs. This ultimately is the goal of not using shame/guilt and humanizing yourself and the recipient.
7. Set low goals and bump them up when met. One of the weird things about people is they prefer to give to successful fundraisers. Yeah I don't know either. So you're more likely to get the full amount you need if you set a partial goal initially and then raise it when that's met. Raise it in small increments and raise it repeatedly as those goals are hit to keep momentum going. You can't always control this so if you're boosting someone else's fundraiser you can do it artificially via asks like “Hey y'all can we get together and put $500 on this?”

Once upon a time
‘Prince’ Yandere x reader
Imagine a reader in modern day society. She lives in a normal little town, went to your average school, lives in a normal house and has your everyday friendly neighbours. Like I said, her life is nothing out of the ordinary.
She feels lucky to have so many kind people in her life. Everyone knows everyone and isn’t afraid of lending a helping hand whenever someone is in trouble. The town is on the smaller side but very cozy. They have their own traditions like the annual Christmas market or the summer fundraiser. Nice stuff like that.
Everything is simply perfect! Or…well it would be if not for one tiny detail.
Unfortunately there’s one guy who just can’t seem to take a hint. Reader feels kinda mean thinking of him as a stain on the idyllic life she’s built. She doesn’t understand why he can’t take a ‘no’ for an answer. Everyday this hunk of a man walks right into her workplace like he owns the place and demands reader’s attention. With the way he’s acting you would think he’s dying and reader’s attention is the one and only cure.
It’s not like he’s ugly or anything, but a guy who doesn’t listen is just a 🚩
That’s not even the worst part. Another big issue is his…delusions.
Like, one time when reader was walking home she decided to stop by the market square since she needed some groceries. And guess who was in the middle of the square, somehow managed to climb onto the water fountain and proudly shouting at the top of his lungs? Part of reader’s soul disintegrated that day. What in the world was he doing!? He didn’t seem to be embarrassed either. No, with his nose pointed upwards he said he was going to reveal a big secret about the whole town. Silence filled he air, everyone was curious about what he was about to say.
What was this secret? Had someone committed a grave crime and was about to be exposed? Thoughts like that circled in everyone’s mind. Their imagination came to life and dreamt up various scenarios to what the deal was. People anticipated something foul, raw and sinful only to be met with grave disappointment.
You see, the man had suddenly declared himself as royalty in front of an entire audience. He claimed that the whole town was under a spell and had forgotten about their origins; being fairytale characters. And right now, only he was able to remember the truth. Alright, what the hell? That was ridiculous. What made it worse was the fact that he appointed himself as the towns prince and leader. Yikes. He said most- if not all- of the citizens where peasants and therefore his subjects. That’s why the had to listen to him from now on.
Reader wanted to peel off her skin and scream in that moment. The secondhand embarrassment was too much.
Bringing down shame upon yourself and your ancestors was one thing, but did he have to drag reader into it?? He claimed she was also royalty and should be treated with outmost respect. Why? Because he’s her husband! Of course his spouse need the 5-star treatment as well.
After the painful incident he’s always stopped by her workplace to talk her ear off. No matter what she said or did(or how much others complained) he never left. At least not permanently. In rare instances he did go with a downcast expression but he’d always be back full force the next day.
The man tells reader about the wonderful life they were going to have. If only the curse wouldn’t have been placed and they’d all been transported to the world they currently live in. It pains him so to know she’s forgotten all about him and the great love they shared. But it’ll be alright. After all, they found each other again and he refuses to let go.
Reader only half listens(he will throw a tantrum if he realises she’s not paying attention to him) as he drones on about how they first met in the forest. Of course he found her by hearing a wonderful song travel through the woods, he followed it all the way to her. They danced together and met every sundown from then on. It was so romantic. It’s impossible not to roll your eyes at the cliche imagery, it’s just so corny.
Yandere ‘prince’ also demands reader to refer to him by his royal, ‘real’ name. It’s not his real one, it’s something else. Everyone knows that- except him, apparently, since he refuses to respond to it. If you do use it, he’ll ignore you and pretend you didn’t speak at all. It’s very tiring, more so since he tries to enforce this delusion onto reader. He also won’t use her actual name and instead settles for this medieval one. Apart from that, he calls her ‘love,’ ‘darling’, ‘my heart’ and other cutesy nicknames that are far from appreciated.
It doesn’t matter what reader says, he won’t stop.
He insists he wants to be her saviour again. Sadly for him there is nothing to protect you from except the occasional spider that makes its way inside your house.
‘Well, it’s better than nothing.’ He would say before smacking and tossing it out.
He is willing to do anything for his lover. And that really does means anything. Nothing is off the table. It wasn’t before and it definitively isn’t now simply because of some lame curse. It can’t keep him form his soulmate.
He was your prince before, he’ll show you that he still is.

pairing: rich!wanda x r
summary: sparks fly at a chance encounter
a/n: first part of dirty cash!! i finished this early december but i was so nervous to post it but i don’t want to keep yall waiting any longer. i hope yall like it!
dirty cash masterlist
minors do not interact
looking over at your friend, you give her a glare as you watch her mingle with some potential business partners. being dragged to a fundraising banquet as your friend’s plus one was a way you did not want to spend your saturday evening. especially a night that is full of rich privileged people— a place that you surely don’t feel you belong.
“but you owe me from when you needed me to bail you out of that date a few weeks ago, remember?” was what she told you— and it was true.
the said date went downhill in record time, not even lasting a full thirty minutes before you had your friend call with a fake emergency. your date continuously went on and on about the state of the economy and how people should be investing in stocks to grow wealth rather than focusing on a day job.
needless to say, your friend pulled through and gave an overly convincing act to get you out of there quickly.
your friend is now immersed in a discussion with a man in a suit, probably trying to win him over in hopes to find an investor for her small business. you slip away quietly and let her work her charm.
walking around the banquet hall, you admire the decorations and the ambiance, something you’re not used to being around. you watch as women walk around in either suits or beautiful dresses, you can’t help but admire and feel a little out of place. you’re not used to the flashy life that the people here live— you’ve never had the ample opportunities that the people in this room have had. feeling a sense of jealousy and insecurity run through your veins, you try to snap out of it. it’s not healthy and you know it, but you can’t help but wish you’d be in their shoes.
sighing softly to yourself, you you find a vacant seat at the open bar and order a drink while you people watch. you can hear the live music playing, the chatter of everyone’s conversations, clinking of champagne glasses, the expensive laughter.
imagining your life in their shoes while you nurse your cocktail is how you spend the next few minutes occupying your time.
“is it any good?” you hear a smooth, confident voice ask beside you.
glancing over, you’re met with a dark haired woman with captivating green eyes smiling at you— the kind that disarms you before you even realize it. you smile back and shrug a bit, “it’s a drink. i needed one.”
you joke, now looking over at her well tailored suit and dark makeup. she’s beautiful.
chuckling subtly, “i’d ask you how your night is going, but based off of that sentence— i think i know how it’s going so far. i’m wanda, it’s nice to meet you.” she puts her hand out for a handshake, the glint in her eyes showing her amusement in the introduction.
her hand is warm when you shake it and you can smell a hint of expensive perfume as she gets closer to you to sit in the seat next to you. she speaks with confidence and an alluring charm.
you introduce yourself and laugh, “i didn’t mean any bad by it, it’s just not my.. environment,” you gesture to the crowd around you, “the rich pretentious crowd, it all seems fake to me. dressing up in your finest jewels just to fake altruistic behavior.. it’s not real to me.”
perhaps the drink was already getting to you. maybe that’s the reason you’re letting out a word spill to the beautiful woman who just wanted to know if your paloma was good.
or maybe it’s the way she giggled along with a small nod of her head as you spoke your mind. either way, she wasn’t put off by your tangent. in fact, she continued to sit with you and entertained your preferred topic of discussion for the next few minutes.
wanda watches you with an amused smile on her face. her eyes linger a bit longer on your lips longer than they should.
“fake altruism, huh? what would make it real?” she asks, with a small tilt of her head. her eyes squint the tiniest bit, her grin showing genuine interest. her voice is inquisitive, almost like she’s trying to probe you for something.
had you gone too far? you hesitate to respond, realizing you’ve possibly offended her— wondering if you’ve crossed a line. instead, wanda’s smiling and leaning into you as she wants to hear more.
noticing your slight hesitation, “you know, not a lot of people have the guts to say that. i really like it,” she chuckles softly. wanda looks over your features with a small smile as you move on to talk animatedly about your line of work. she’s enamored by how you’re wearing your emotions on your sleeve— something she struggles with.
you catch yourself, “i’m so sorry, wanda. i’ve been talking at you this whole time.” you inwardly cringe at how you’ve been holding her up with your rambling.
she shakes her head and puts her whiskey down on the bar gently, “no, please, i’m enjoying you. this is quite possibly the most entertainment i’ve had all night so far.” she puts a comforting hand on your forearm that’s resting on the bar in a comforting approach, she’s giving you a genuine smile. her gesture lasts a second too long, her gaze feeling a bit more personal than it needs to be.
“what are you here for?” you shake your head and change the subject to her, wanting to know more about her and why she’s still here wanting to be with you.
her eyes flicker towards the crowd and she hesitates for a moment, almost debating whether or not to be honest with you, “i’m just here for work, requirement by the job.” she shrugs and avoids eye contact, switching the subject back to you. she plays with the rim of her cup, not quite giving you her undivided attention like she just was.
weird.
you don’t spend too much time on it, not wanting to push her away. “i’m here for my friend. she recently started a new business and is hoping to find an investor here, make a good connection.”
you tell her as you gesture to your friend who’s now moved onto her next target of the night. she’s speaking with a woman this time, half interested in what she’s talking about.
wanda nods and follows to where your gesturing, “hm, i’ll have to check her out later.”
you two laugh and talk about different topics over the next ten minutes— ambitions you two have, where you two went to school, where you want to travel. the conversation is lighthearted but the both of you are enjoying the other’s presence.
shaking her head with a laugh, “paris is overrated. you’ll spend more time in traffic than seeing the eiffel tower.”
she watches your expression with a teasing smirk as she says this. she can tell paris is the one place you have always wanted to go to, but she wants to rile you up a bit. pure enjoyment is written on her face as she watched your face contort in mock and offense.
scoffing and looking at her with an incredulous glance, “so tell me where you’d recommend since you’re so well travelled.”
you place your chin in your hand as you await her response. your eyes are slightly glazed over and wanda can’t help but melt at the way the lights are reflecting in your eyes.
wanda grins at your tease, “vienna. no contest. it’s beautiful, and the pastries there will ruin everywhere else for you. you need to go if you ever find the opportunity.” she’s gazing at you intently as you take in her words, the way you’re nodding along to what’s she’s saying with genuine intrigue.
you are just about to respond right as a man taps her on the shoulder and says something under his breath that you can’t quite catch. he leans in with a hint of impatience and you can see how wanda’s posture goes rigid and her jaw tightens.
wanda grimaces and lets out an exasperated sigh, “i’m sorry. they’re calling me for work. i’ll try to find you after, okay? please don’t leave until i see you again. i’d hate to lose my best conversation of the night.”
she gets up from her chair and gives your shoulder a squeeze, lingering a bit longer than needed, her thumb brushes against your skin. she smiles at you warmly just before she takes off in the direction of the man.
you watch as she leaves, noticing how people look in her direction with a hint of awe as she walks past. it makes sense since she had you wrapped around her finger in such a short amount of time.
you leave the bar to find your friend, glancing in the direction wanda left with a love struck smile on your face.
you find her and ask how the networking went. she lets out a sigh of content, “i can’t believe i got to talk to so many people! i gave them all my buriness card and i hope they’ll get in contact with me sometime this week.”
you nod along as she speaks, but subtly looking around the room for any glimpse of the well dressed brunette who had you captivated as soon as she spoke to you.
“did you meet anyone? you’ve been cooped up at the bar all night,” your friend asks as she nudges your shoulder playful with a grin.
rolling your eyes, “actually, yeah. i was talking to a woman, she seems sweet.”
your friends eyes lighten up and she grabs your arm with a small squeal. you laugh at her excitement about your (potentially) blossoming love life. she has continuously tried to set you up on dates in the past, but it never works out.
you groan and cringe, “i know, i know, but remember that i just met her and we don’t even know if-“
your friend shushes you with a stern look, “stop, look! that’s the ceo, the one i told you about earlier i hope i can get in with. she sponsors and invests in a lot of companies and schools. if i can get in with her, it’s like winning the lottery.”
you furrow your eyebrows and turn around to face the stage she’s pointing you to. it takes you a second to find a gap to look in between the bodies in front of you.
and there she is— wanda. your wanda. only now, there she is smiling in all her glory, waving at the crowd that is now forming in front of the stage. the faintest smile on her lips as she gently waves to the crowd.
“oh my god,” your blood runs cold and you freeze in place. you look over at your friend with a terrified look, eyebrows pulling together and eyes wide.
heat rushes to your face and you begin to replay every word you’d said to her at the bar. did she think you were mocking her? your hands begins to clench in nervousness and you want the ground to swallow you whole.
you messed up.
your friend looks at you with a confused look, then pieces it together slowly as she gauges your facial expressions. “oh my god,” she grabs your arm, “oh my god!”
people around look at you two, some shushing you with judgemental looks on their faces. she giggles and mouths, ‘no way.’
she’s filled with excitement at the potential in, you’re filled with dread and embarrassment as you mule over the fact that you complained about this event to wanda. wanda maximoff, the ceo of maximoff industries— founder and organizer of the charity event you’re attending.
your face heats up in embarrassment and you try to hide behind your friend as wanda speaks.
“good evening, everyone,” she stands tall and poised, her voice steady and confident, “thank you all for being here tonight. together, we all share a common goal: to invest in the future by supporting the education of our children.”
you muffle out wanda’s words as you try your best to stand still and not make any sudden movement. maybe if you’ll suddenly become invisible if you stand still enough.
unbeknownst to you, wanda was trying her hardest to spot you in the crowd. unfortunately, the stage lights kept her from being able to clearly see beyond the podium.
you feel queasy and lightheaded as you quickly walk to the restroom. you lean against the sink and try to steady your breathing as much as you can. of course you would somehow offend a ceo at their own event.
you groan as you force yourself to suck up your ego and walk back out into the now booming crowd.
you try to keep a low profile as you walk parallel to the wall— the last thing you want is to offend someone else here.
“there you are,” wanda walks up to you with a two glasses of champagne in her hand. she hands one to you with a smile, “i thought you left me.”
you take the glass with a polite smile, then cringing inwardly as you remember your word vomit at the bar. “listen, wanda, i’m so sorry about what i said. the event is beautiful and i love what you’re doing for the community. it’s amazing, really.”
the words come out rushed and wanda can see a flush on your cheeks. she chuckles softly and shakes her head, “hey, you’re okay. it’s okay. i didn’t take any offense, in fact, i really admire your honesty. it’s rare that i get that nowadays. you really.. stood out tonight.”
you groan and avert your eyes from her. she looks you over and admires you silently. she wants to laugh at your now embarrassed demeanor, a stark contrast to your extroverted energy at the bar.
she realizes she’s been looking at you for too long , clearing her throat and bringing the champagne up to her lips. she looks over the rim at you, trying to be as subtle as possible. your side profile is illuminated by the string lights on the ceiling, your eyes twinkling a bit more than before. perhaps the alcohol now settling in your blood stream? or maybe the fact that wanda actively sought you out after her speech.
you turn to wanda with a small sigh, “are you sure you’re not offended?” you play with the bracelet on your left wrist to try and ground yourself. you feel horrible and uncomfortable in her presence now.
wanda placed a warm hand on your forearm with a gentle look, “i promise. i mean, maybe don’t write off an event before you know what it’s about. people can surprise you, you know?”
wanda’s voice is teasing but soft and comforting. her eyes show no sign of telling a lie and you let out a small laugh at the situation. wanda nudges you with her shoulder softly as she goes to stand next to you.
for a split second, you want to throw caution to the wind and get to know her. you want to ask personal questions— hope there’s something more there.
but you don’t get the chance to. the same man who pulled her away earlier is now speaking into her ear and you can see how irritated she quickly gets with what he’s saying. nodding at what he says, she turns to you with an apologetic look on her face.
“it was refreshing talking to you,” she wants to say more, wants to offer to get you another drink— but she can’t, “take care of yourself, okay?”
and just like that, she’s gone into the crowd. maybe this wasn’t meant to continue on past tonight. maybe meeting wanda was just meant to be a chance encounter.
your friend walks up to you with a furrowed brow, “you’re seriously going to just let her leave?”
you can see the subtle hint of frustration on her face, the wild gesturing in wanda’s direction making it evident she wasn’t happy that you let her leave.
shrugging softly, “i’m sure she’s got better things to do.”
your voice is soft as you stare at wanda speaking with a group of people. she’s got an effortless grace and charm to her, something you don’t have.
following your friend to the exit, you try to push back the thought of wanda and the ‘what if.’
but the memories of her lingering touches, the laughs at your jokes, her soft smiles are now engraved into your mind. you don’t expect to see her again, but a part of you so desperately wishes you could.

Omg this is kinda silly but imagine enhypen reacting to their girl (who’s in cheer) doing the Christmas dance from mean girls for a Christmas cheer performance
Jingle Bell Rock ✧˖°.
performing jingle bell rock from mean girls in front of enha hyung-line
warnings: suggestive, kissing, consensual touching, provocative outfits and dance moves, 18+ and not proofread LOL genre: fluff, romance, slight angst, college au, enha hyung line x cheerleader!yn notes: thank you for this request!! tbh my requests are closed but i thought it was too good not to do. i hope you were okay that i played around with the story a bit and didn't just leave it strictly to just reacting to the dance LOL
frat bro!heeseung ⋆꙳•❅*‧ ‧*❆ ₊⋆ — wc: 1053
— the red velvet two piece mrs. claus outfit that you had on would’ve been really cute if one: you weren’t freezing your ass off and two: your cheer captain wasn’t forcing you and the rest of the cheer team to perform “jingle bell rock” for a winter fundraiser at your university. you would’ve been fine performing in these clothes since they were fairly similar to your cheer uniform but the fact that heeseung, the boy from your finance 301 class, that you have had a crush on was also at the fundraising event for his frat.
you were dreading having to perform this song because it seems that all of the university student body was in attendance and so was the boy you have been crushing on all semester. your advances towards him tended to fail as you would chicken out last minute to talk to him and since you can’t back out now; you’re taking this opportunity to make a lasting impression on him. who knows, maybe he really likes the song “jingle bell rock”.
the host of the fundraiser has just finished introducing you and the rest of the cheer team and the audience roars in applause. your cheer team was very popular because you had previously won the national championship for the last 3 years, opposite of the (american) football team who hasn’t won a championship since the late 90s.
you and the rest of the girls get into position and as the darkness fades into a spotlight that shined over your group, the song began and your routine was in full swing. you had copied the choreography from the movie “mean girls” but since the move didn’t feature a full routine, your cheer captain came up with something for the full song; provocative thigh slap included.
trying your best to not make eye contact with anyone specific in the crowd, your eyes just happen to land on heeseung as the thigh slap part of the choreography arrives and his eyes are dead set on your figure. you even at some point glance over again and he’s biting his lip and as much as you wanted to grimace at the unspoken interactions between the two of you, you needed to remain composed for the rest of the performance.
the rest of the performance goes without a hitch and you could say that the cheer team’s popularity was the biggest incentive of this fundraiser because the performance doubled the donations right after you and the rest of the girls left the stage.
you bid goodbye to some of the cheer girls as they weren’t planning on staying for the whole event and as you contemplated staying, you’re taken out of your thoughts when someone clears their throat behind you. as you turn around to see who it is, you’re met with the one and only, heeseung.
your cheeks instantly burn a shade of pink and as much as you wanted to run and hide from heeseung, you knew that this was the moment you needed to finally talk to the boy you’ve had a crush on for the last 3 months.
“you did amazing out there, that outfit looks really good on you.” heeseung says, walking a bit closer so that the gap between the two of you was much smaller. “really?” you ask and he nods, smiling down at you. you mutter a small thank you as you pick up your bag, “you have any plans for the rest of the night?” he asks and you realize you hadn’t fully decided if you were staying for the rest of the fundraiser.
“if not, i’d like to take you out. this fundraiser blows anyways.” he adds and you couldn’t help but chuckle at his bluntness. “isn’t your frat here? don’t you guys need to kiss up to the rich guys to get more funding for whatever frat stuff you need?” you tease and now it was his turn to chuckle at you. heeseung nods like you had just read him like a book and although you didn’t mean it as an insult; it comes off as a tease and heeseung likes that.
“yeah, but i mostly came when i heard my favorite cheerleader was going to be here.” he retorts and if your cheeks weren’t already the shade of a tomato, they sure were now. you couldn’t help but admit to him that it was a smooth move and that you’d like to accept his offer. the two of you leave the university hall hand in hand as heeseung brings you over to his car, taking you to the restaurant that just so happened to be your favorite in your college town.
“ugh, i love this place!” you exclaim in excitement mixed with chill as the cold winter air whips past you. “i know.” heeseung says while nstinctly wrapping his jacket around you as you make your way inside. the two of you get a few things on the menu to share and spend dinner talking about life, finance 301, your future plans, and whatever else popped into your head.
“wait– you said you knew this was my favorite restaurant, how?” you ask and heeseung seems to get shy; like he had just been caught doing something. “well, i actually asked your cheer captain about you and she told me this would be the best place to take you on a date.” he confessed and you couldn’t help but let the smile you were fighting back just spread across your lips. “date?” you ask and he nods eagerly.
“i’ve had a crush on you since the first day of finance 301 when you called out the professor for making a sexist comment about your clothes.” he says and you pout at him. not because you were sad, no; far from it, you pouted because his words were so endearing and that his first impression and root of his crush on you stems from you standing up for yourself and morals. you later confessed to heeseung that you also have had a crush on him for the same amount of time and the two of you share a laugh thinking about you would’ve started dating a lot sooner if either of you had just gotten some courage to talk to the other.
boyfriend!jongseong ⋆꙳•❅*‧ ‧*❆ ₊⋆ — wc: 1010
—- you had a surprise for your boyfriend, one that you knew he would definitely like. you had been on the cheer team at your university since freshman year and have been doing cheer since high school, when you met jay, your loving boyfriend. your cheer team was putting on a special performance for your university’s winter showcase where all proceeds would be donated to buying christmas gifts and holiday presents to the children and families.
the winter showcase was always really fun and for the last 2 years, you and the cheer team avoided participating because you just wanted to enjoy the show for yourselves, but this year; as captain you suggested joining and the rest of the team was surprisingly on board. you had decided on doing the “jingle bell rock” performance from mean girls, minus the chaos towards the end. this movie, although it has questionable humor and moments, was nostalgic to you because you forced jay to watch it when you were in high school and he cringed at the whole thing; prompting him to make you watch something else before the jingle bell rock performance could even happen during the movie.
in the 4 years that you and jay have been dating, you’ve never been one to dress in revealing clothes, even in your cheer uniform, you opted for the version that was long sleeved and less cropped, the skirt however, a whole different story. you had nothing against revealing clothes, it was just a personal taste that you never got comfortable finding, until recently. the confidence you found when trying on your christmas outfits for the performance was something you hadn’t felt before and with jay’s kindness, who always encouraged you and told you that you are beautiful at least 10 times a day, you were starting to like this side of yourself.
jay knew you were doing the performance however, he had no idea that the performance would entail a revealing mrs. claus outfit, something he would’ve known had he not stopped the mean girls movie during your sleepover.
the group before your cheer team was doing their bows and soon you would be up next. you were a bit nervous to see how jay would react because you had never worn something like this before but knowing jay, he would call you beautiful if you were wearing a full mascot suit. you gave the cheer team a quick pep talk and soon enough you were all walking to the center of the stage to get in position. with the lights low and anticipation washing over the crowd, you took one deep breath before the music started. the bright white lights of the stage shone over you and you kept a smile on your face throughout the routine.
your routine was a mixture of the original dance routine from the movie and more traditional cheer formations and moves. you tried your best to spot jay in the crowd and just as the routine got to the more sexy and provocative part, you make eye contact with him and he’s got his eyes narrowed at you like you were the only person in the room. he often looked at you that way when he was checking you out and right now; he was undoubtedly checking you out.
you get a bit flustered under his gaze and he lets out a chuckle at your reaction, knowing that his gaze alone had such a big effect on you. you spend the rest of the performance fighting off the urge to look over at jay but failing miserably as you naturally were pulled in his direction; and each time, he held the same gaze that only made your cheeks more red.
at the end of the showcase, you found jay waiting for you outside, leaning on his car with a black leather jacket– and if he thought you looked good in your performance outfit, he was breathtaking.
“there’s my favorite cheerleader— or should i say, mrs. claus?” he says as he wraps his arms around you, placing a kiss on your forehead. “you did amazing up there.” he adds and you blush under his touch and compliment. jay always knew the right things to say and you melted at his advances and gestures every time. you mutter a small thank you as you place a kiss on his lips—- he later opens the passenger door to help you in and you immediately start his car for him so you could turn the heater on.
“where we headed, babe?” you ask and jay smirks at you.
“well, jake is gone for the weekend so i’ve got the whole place to myself.” he explains and you already knew where this was going without him having to explain it. the drive to his place was filled with chatter as you explained the performance and how much he loved it but loved your outfit even more.
“so does that mean, if you’re sexy mrs. claus, does that make me sexy santa claus?” he asks and you can’t help but laugh at his silly question— “i guess you are, huh?” you answer as he grabs your hand and places a quick kiss on your knuckles before returning both hands on the wheel. the two of you made your way to jay’s apartment and before you could even get fully inside, his hands were on you like he was starving for your touch and kisses.
the rest of the weekend was filled with tender and loving moments with jay as he tries to convince you to put on a special performance just for him in your outfit. something that was going to occupy his mind until you find a way to replace that image in his head with something even better. “i wish you saved this outfit just for me” he says as he pulls out his polaroid camera from his shelf and aims at you so that he could forever have the memory of you as his sexy mrs. claus as a polaroid picture.
nerd!jaeyun ⋆꙳•❅*‧ ‧*❆ ₊⋆ — wc: 1313
—- jake was pretty shy, at least with others, with you however; he was a completely different person. his usual shy and calm demeanor would shift into a more teasing, outgoing, and even cocky attitude— and you’d be lying if you said you didn’t like that side of him.
to others, jake would be categorized as a nerd. his black thick rimmed glasses, his love for math and physics, his work ethic, and constant drive to have the best academic score he could get; he was definitely a nerd but he was your nerd. your friends used to tease you about your crush on jake because he didn’t seem to be the type to pay any attention to a cheerleader but to jake and everyone’s surprise, he was very impressed with your knowledge on physics– something that made his eyes turn into hearts.
he likes the fact that you’re smart and the fact that you were a beautiful cheerleader was just a plus to him– not caring about physical attributes or materialistic things when it comes to who he likes or would fall in love with. jake never failed to let you know what he loved about you and it seemed that it was just about everything. sure jake was a nerd, but at home when you were in his arms, he was the furthest from it.
jake went to all of the games at your university, not because he cared about the sports, but because you would be there in your pretty cheer costume, something that he’s realized to be one of his favorite things. sure you looked attractive in the cheer costume, but seeing your confidence and grace as you perform your cheer routine with that beautiful smile on your pretty lips that he just loved so much and did so many things to him that you couldn’t ever imagine.
so there you were, getting into position for the halftime performance for your university’s (american) football game before winter break. the cold air nipped at your thighs and knees and turned them a slight red shade but you knew that the cold would only last a few minutes as you’d begin to feel the warmth when your routine started. the people in the audience cheered as you and the rest of the cheer team filed out onto the space in front of the stands and you instantly spotted jake, his big glasses sitting lower on the tip of his nose as he eyed you up and down. you sent him a wave with a flying kiss and he returned it with a wink, causing your heart to flutter.
jake’s friends teased him, nudging him & laughing at your interaction as he was clearly very flustered and down bad for you; your new outfit for the winter game made his mind run wild. you and the rest of the cheer team were dressed as elves while the school’s mascot had a santa claus outfit on. he loved seeing you in your cheer uniform buit this outfit you had on right now was doing things to him that he hadn’t ever felt before. who knew dressing up as a sexy christmas elf would make your boyfriend get hot in the face and slightly jealous that the rest of the school was also witnessing you in something he wished he could keep all to himself.
your performance soon started and the familiar tune of jingle bell rock begins. jake wasn’t aware you guys would be doing a christmas themed routine and definitely wasn’t aware how seductive it would be. he tried his best to hold his composure while watching you but he just couldn’t hold out any longer, his last straw being when you slapped your hands onto your soft thighs and he swears he could hear the skin make contact even over the sound of the music and people cheering.
jake excuses himself in the middle of the performance and his friends barely pay him any attention, all of them too focused on the rest of the cheer team; mesmerized by the routine and their alluring aura. jake’s sudden absence doesn’t go unnoticed by you and your smile fades as you watch him leave, unsure why but hoping that he is okay. jake doesn’t ever return to the game and whenever you’d look over to where he was sitting before, his friends would only give you a shrug when you mouthed to them, “where’s jake?”. even your cheer members noticed his absence and you couldn’t give them an answer outside of “i don’t know” when they’d ask where he ran off to.
you wished you could just leave and go find him but your phone was in the locker rooms and you were obligated to stay until the end of the game.
after what felt like eternity, the game was finally over with your university’s team winning and you couldn’t get out of there fast enough. you ran to the locker room to grab your phone to call jake only to find one text from him reading, “meet me at our spot.” and you knew exactly where to find him.
your spot was the abandoned music building on the far side of campus that was no longer in use because your school had built a whole new music building and had no plans for the old building any time soon. you and jake would often meet up there when both of your roommates were home so you could have some time to yourselves. you bid your friends and cheer members goodbye and ran over to your spot; which thankfully wasn’t very far from where the locker rooms were.
as you got closer to the building, you could see jake’s red 2004 subaru impreza parked in front of the building and judging by how it was parked poorly, he definitely ried to get there in a rush of some sort. you slowly pushed the door open with a creak and were engulfed in the darkness. you reached around for the light switch that was to the left of the entrance but suddenly, all the lights were on and you’re met with christmas lights and decorations adorned throughout the walls with jake sitting in the middle of the opening with a blanket and some of your favorite foods.
you run over to him and he catches you in his arms just as you jump. “hi pretty.” he says before placing a kiss on your plump lips. “you did this for me?” you ask and he nods while putting you back down on your feet. jake grabs your hand and guides you to blanket, the both of you sitting across from each other and jake has to stop himself from acting out on his feelings as he watches your legs press together while you are still in your costume.
when you asked jake why he suddenly left, he sighed before responding and confessing that he needed to finish preparing this special moment for the two of you– “is that it..?” you tease and jake chuckles, knowing that it was definitely more to it than just that.
“and i may or may not think you looked so hot out there. i contemplated just grabbing you mid performance so i could have you all to myself.” he says with a smirk and redness creeps its way onto your cheeks as you melt at his confession.
you loved every part of jake, but this side of him that was confident, a little cocky, and enticing made your heart do somersaults which was only fair because although jake first fell for you because of how impressed he was with your intelligence, he loved seeing you in your cute outfits and cheer costume that left little to his imagination— but it’s not like it wasn’t something he hadn’t seen plenty of times before.
jock!sunghoon ⋆꙳•❅*‧ ‧*❆ ₊⋆ — wc: 1217
—as cliche as your relationship was with sunghoon as cheerleader and jock, you wouldn't change a single thing. you were both the star crossed lovers of your university and as 4th years, the two of you had become the poster children for your university’s student body and atheltics program.
the two of you excel in your own sports, cheer and ice hockey, which meant for a lot of competitive games, travelling to play against opposing universities, promotional events, and meetings with sports officials and rich folks to get them to write checks for thousands of dollars directed to your school. you had wished that cheer was just something you could do because you loved dancing and performing but it was starting to become who you were and you weren’t sure that was what you wanted for yourself.
sunghoon on the other hand, loved it, the praise, the opportunities, sponsorships, all of it. he loved that people loved how good he was at skating and hockey and you couldn’t blame him. he was the all star of your university having been the only freshmen to be added to the varsity roster and scouted by big league officials in just his 2nd year. you were so proud of his trajectory as an athlete but you couldn’t help but think about how you were on the opposite end of that spectrum.
as sunghoon’s popularity grew he loved the sport more and more—but as your popularity grew, you began to hate the sport and you didn’t know why.
you had everything, a loving boyfriend, supportive friends and family, on track to graduate, a three year competitive cheer champion and because it was your 4th year, you had been appointed as head cheerleader– so why did you begin to loathe the sport that took over your life at such a young age.
maybe that was why.
cheer was everything you knew starting at the age of 6 years old and as much as you were grateful for where cheerleading has brought you, the pressure, the intensity, and constant battle to be on top was starting to feel like you were always fighting for something that you weren’t even sure you wanted anymore. cheerleading had become too competitive and less fun and you just needed to do something that didn’t involve an immense amount of pressure.
something fun, just for you, and had low stakes.
and that’s when your university’s performing arts program announced that they would be putting on a winter talent show where all proceeds would go into the arts program and although the sports and arts program didn’t have the best relationship; the sports program being favored over the arts which was a story as old as time, you decided that the talent show would be something you could do. it had no winners, everyone was encouraged to participate, and you thought about how maybe a prominent student being a part of something that could help the arts program would help alleviate the tension between the two sides of the school.
when you brought this up to your boyfriend sunghoon, he laughed at first, but when he realized that you were serious he wasn’t completely sure it was a good idea. all of his reasons were valid, the arts program hates the athletes and vice versa and he was afraid it would ruin your reputation but you didn’t care.
you told sunghoon you were just thinking about it and weren’t sure if you would sign up but deep down you were 100% and for the next month or so, you would practice a routine with some of the other cheer girls who you were able to convince to join you for the talent show.
practicing for the talent show became more enjoyable than cheer practice and even your friends who joined you would agree. the atmosphere of talent show rehearsals was fairly laid back and although the arts students were surprised to see the head cheerleader and 3 other cheerleaders apply for the talent show, you all warmed up to one another fairly quickly.
it’s the night before the talent show when you finally tell sunghoon that you were going to be in it with some of the girls and you’d be performing a rendition of “jingle bell rock” from mean girls and sunghoon was shocked. not because you ended up joining the talent show without his knowledge but because he knew that scene all too well. a smile breaks out onto his lips as he begins to imagine you in a sexy christmas outfit and he was more than elated to attend to watch his girl be the star you were on stage.
you tried to calm your nerves as you walked in the darkness to center stage, looking over into the crowd and not seeing any faces was a bit nerve-racking but as the lights emerged from above and jingle bell rock began to play, all of your nerves ceased to exist as the routine went on and you could see sunghoon smiling at you with the biggest smile you’ve ever seen.
he looked so happy and… proud.
even when the parts of the routine got risque thanks to the choreography from the movie, sunghoon and the rest of the audience was cheering and it only boosted you and your friends confidence, knowing that everyone was right behind all of you.
granted, no one actually cared that the popular cheer captain was mingling with the arts students and it seemed like this rivalry was something that was only made up. after the talent show you met up with sunghoon and he still had that silly toothy smile plastered across his face. you gave him several kisses on the cheek as he scooped you up by the waist with a small spin.
“you were amazing out there.” he says before planting a kiss onto your lips.
“only because i knew you’d be there…” you say, a bit shy and sunghoon notices this.
“are you ok?” he asks and you let out a sigh that feels like it had been carrying the weight of the world with it. were you ok? you weren’t sure.
you tell sunghoon all of your worries while the two of you are sat at the back of his car. you’re laying between his legs, head resting on his chest while he had his arms wrapped around you, rubbing gentle circes on your skin.
“i wish you told me sooner… you know i would support you in anything you do right?” he asks and although your mind was telling you that you would let him down, you ultimately knew that even though you were the cheerleader, sunghoon was your number 1 cheerleader.
you spend the rest of the night in his apartment, talking about what else has been worrying the two of you and how after you graduate, you weren’t sure if cheerleading was something you wanted as your career– but you didn’t know what you wanted to do, however, you knew that having sunghoon by your side every step of the way was all you needed.
afterall, he was your biggest cheerleader and if you weren’t a cheerleader anymore, at least you knew that you would have sunghoon in your corner, rooting for you.

you didn’t know what else to do.
you’ve tried every trick you could think of but nothing would stop the searing pain in your pelvis. every month without fail you were bed ridden for at least 2 days, curled up in pain, unable to move.
you’re starving with simultaneously no appetite because of the pain. however this time felt worse, this time you were supposed to go out with seungmin and the rest of his members but everytime you moved you were immediately met with pain.
cutting your losses you just curled up with your heating pad and grabbed your phone. you send seungmin a quick text telling him you couldn’t make it and to tell the boys you were sorry.
after that another cramp hit, it felt like someone had grabbed your insides and squeezed as hard as they could. you let out a yelp as the pain only worsened, sobbing out in pure agony.
you were mostly crying because of the pain but you also felt horrible for canceling on your boyfriend and his friends. the pain mixing with the guilt only made you sob harder.
unbeknownst to you, seungmin was on his way to your place, something about your text sounded off. he didn’t know what it was but something in his gut told him he needed to go to you, so he did.
once he opened the door he was met with the sounds of your cries. alarm bells immediately went off in his head as he quickly locked the door, tossing his shoes and bag to the side, running to your room.
he found you curled in a ball, facing the door, eyes closed as heartbreaking sobs leave your mouth. he quickly made his way to your bed, kneeling on the floor in front of you before placing a hand on your shoulder.
you gasp in surprise, eyes wide as they shoot open. “it’s just me, it’s just me, i’m sorry.” he quickly says, holding his hands up in surrender.
once your brain registers the familiar man in front of you, you feel the lump form in your throat once more. your hands come up to cover your face as the tears flow down your cheeks.
“i’m sorry, i’m sorry” you sob, your breathing choppy as you speak. “hey, hey,” he says softly, moving your hands with one, gently wiping your tears with the other.
“it’s okay pup, what’s going on hm?” your lip wobbles once again, reminded of the pain. “i- ah!“ you start, just in time for another wave of pain. you curl into yourself, bringing your arm to press the hot pad even further onto your skin.
“okay, i understand bubs,” he moves to sit on your bed, placing one arm over the one on your stomach, the other on your head, softly stroking your forehead. he places a kiss to your temple, shushing you softly, “it’s okay, you’re okay, breathe pup, breathe.”
you take shakey deep breath, exhaling after a few seconds. you both sit there for a while, letting your breath even out before either of you spoke. “i’m sorry.” you whimper, pulling away to look at him.
your bottom lip jutting out as a fresh wave of tears rolls down your face. he places a hand on your cheek, gently brushing away the fresh tears, shushing you. “stop apologizing bub,” he leans down, placing a kiss to your hair. “you have nothing to be sorry for.” you shake your head, new tears following the old.
“i got my period, and it’s really bad and i was trying to suck it up and come i promise but it was really fucking bad seung, it just-“ you were rambling and losing your breath, starting to hyperventilate.
“sh, sh, it’s okay pup, breathe,” he leans back slightly, “scoot over a bit.” he gently requests, making sure the heating pad stayed on your abdomen.
once a little space was created, he slides into your bed, pulling you into him. “okay, my bub, just relax, everything’s okay, no one’s upset, okay?” you sniffle, catching your breath a bit. “promise?” your voice small as you ask.
“i promise, we were all just concerned, and wanted to make sure you were okay.” he reassures, rubbing soothing circles on your back. you nod, turning into his chest, melting into him, just crying for a few minutes until you felt better.
you shift, laying your face against his chest as he continues rubbing your back. “did you take medicine or eat?” you shake your head, drawing figures on his tummy.
“do you have medicine?” you nod your head, pointing to the bathroom. “in the medicine cabinet, second shelf to the left.” he nods, placing a kiss to your head before standing. “i’ll
be quick.” he whispers, quickly making his way to the attached room.
he comes back out holding the familiar bottle, placing it on your bedside table. he pulls out his phone before smoothly moving back to his previous spot. “okay i’m gonna order us some ramen so you can eat and then take some medicine, how does that sound hm?” he asks, already opening his delivery app.
if you had any more tears left you’d be sobbing again but you’re fresh out. instead you nod, placing a kiss to his peck, “thank you pup.” you whisper cuddling back into him.
he smiles looking down at you before placing a kiss to your hair once more. “anything for you bubs.” he goes back to
work, ordering his ramen and your usual before placing his phone down, snuggling into you.
“once the ramen comes and you eat a bit i’ll give you some medicine, but when we finish eating do you wanna sleep or take a bath?” you think about it for a moment before coming to a decision.
“sleep, i’m exhausted.” he nods, rubbing your arm, “okay we can do that, and then if you want a bath when you wake up we can do that too okay?” you nod before turning your head, placing a kiss to this peck.
“thank you baby, i don’t know what i’d do without you.” you wrap your arms around him, wincing as another cramp spreads pain through your body. “ah.” you cry, shoving your face back into his chest.
he wraps his arms around you, pulling you into him, “okay bubs, i ordered it so hopefully it’ll be here soon and then you can eat take medicine and go to sleep.”
you nod, pressing your face further into him, trying to calm yourself. he starts humming, hoping to put you at ease with his voice. once he feels you relaxing into him he starts singing softly, letting you focus on his voice rather than the pain.
you ended up falling asleep before the food comes, waking up to see a dim light and seungmin bringing in the food. he sets it on the table before looking over seeing you smiling sleepily at him.
“hi bubs, you ready to eat?” he asks as he sits on the bed next to you, carefully brushing your hair out of your face. you nod, sitting up carefully as he prepares your ramen on the table next to your bed.
once you were sitting up, he hands you the bowl, “careful, it’s hot.” you nod, carefully taking the bowl before he grabs a pillow, making sure the heating pad is placed properly before placing the pillow on your lap.
“thank you, bubba.” you smile to him, before he leans down to place a soft kiss to your lips. “you’re welcome, pup.” he says against your lips before sitting down, handing you your chopsticks.
he makes his ramen as well and both of you eat in silence. once finished he grabs your trash putting it in the take out bag it came in, leaving to put it in the trash.
he comes back with two bottles of water, placing them both on the table before opening the bottle of medicine, handing you 2 pills. he places them in your hand, opening one of the waters, handing that to you as you place the pills in your mouth.
you take a gulp of water, swallowing the medicine before taking a couple extra sips before handing the bottle back to him. “thank you.” you whisper, scooting over to give him more room as he places the bottle down.
“you’re welcome, bubs.” he says, leaning over to place a kiss on your head. he quickly gets up to turn off the light before climbing into bed with you. he opens his arms, allowing you to lay against him.
once in his arms, he wraps them around you, kissing your face all over. you giggle as he does this before eventually he stops, not wanting to make your cramps worse. you relax into him, melting further into his embrace.
“is you heating pad okay?” you nod against him, a yawn leaving your lips. “good, sweet dreams pup, i love you.” he whispers, placing one last kiss to your head. “good night bubba, love you too.” you mumble before both of you drift off into each other’s arms.

on the nights you can’t sleep, everything hits you. failed relationships. bad decisions. thoughts of the unknown. it all piles on top of your mind until it crushes you. such worries make the room feel suffocating, like the air was suddenly stripped out of it. it makes your throat dry up and your skin itch. sitting in such a feeling drives you insane, and as much as you’d like to stay curled up under the covers to hide, you know that you have to find a way to breathe.
carefully, and without making any drastic movements, you slip out of bed. the cold air hits your naked body, sending shivers down your spine. you find your panties somewhere on the floor and slip them on. you pull the first shirt that you see over your head, and judging by its scent, you assume it to be sunarin’s.
at the thought of him, you fix your gaze onto his side of the bed. with your presence gone, sunarin’s face is illuminated by the moonlight that shines through his curtains. your heart jumps at the sight of him.
sunarin has always been beautiful. even a fool could acknowledge that fact. but it’s moments like these where you swear that he is unparalleled to any guy you’ve ever met.
you watch as his chest rises and falls with steady breaths. he has one arm folded under his head, acting as another pillow. the blankets you share cover him from the waist down, providing you with a partial view of his well-toned body and the marks you left on him. strands of his dark-brown, nearly black hair fall over his forehead.
seeing him so peaceful brings a ghost of a smile onto your face, but it falls just as quickly. you chew your bottom lip, opting to leave the bedroom. you carefully close the door behind you so that you don’t wake up suna.
you wander into his kitchen and open his fridge. to your surprise, there’s a selection of white claws sitting on the bottom rack. sunarin is not much of an individual drinker. he’d rather enjoy it with the company of his friends. the alcohol he does have in his possession are much more potent than a hard seltzer, which isn’t what you’re really looking for. you need balance. you need something that will calm you without you having to wake up to a throbbing head in the morning. hard seltzers are what you look for in those times.
you wonder what he got them for, but you shake that thought off quickly. it’s not your business. you pull the first can you see out of its place before nudging the fridge shut with your foot.
in sunarin’s apartment, a balcony is connected to the living room, separated by a glass door. in need of fresh air, you slide it open. the balcony itself isn’t anything grand. it’s spacious enough, but suna doesn’t care to decorate it lavishly. he says there’s no point. so all there is are two wooden chairs with a tiny, circular table separating them.
you pull out the chair on the right and face it towards the railing. you seat yourself on it before cracking open the white claw before taking a sip. the alcohol part of it tastes funky but it’s bearable with the help of what you realize to be raspberry.
you take a long inhale. the cold air fills your lungs and nips at your insides, but it feels good. you stare at the night sky, counting the stars and admiring the moon that shines above you. below you, you spot two buddies supporting each other, barely able to hold the other up because of the drunken stares of their bodies. you take a swig of your drink. you catch lights from inside buildings flicker on then off, a reminder that life exists everywhere.
for a while, it distracts you. it keeps your mind at bay from the pending worries that are waiting to pounce at you. there’s only so many things you can count until you get bored. the view from sunarin’s balcony is nothing special after all.
but who are you to complain anyway? sunarin has much more in his life to make up for it. he’s got the money to see better views. he’s got a career he loves, an olympic medal, and adoring fans. sunarin’s got it all. he’s got a life one could only dream about.
your life isn’t shitty at all, but it’s nothing spectacular like suna’s. it’s perfectly average. and now that you think about it, why did he settle in an arrangement with someone as plain as you?
before you can ponder that answer, the glass door slides open. you don’t bother looking back. it’s obvious who it is; there’s only one other person in the apartment. the second wooden chair scraps against the floor as suna moves it back. you stare ahead as he effortlessly lifts the circular table and places it on the side. with one arm, he picks up the wooden chair, setting it down next to yours.
his bare arm grazes you as he sits, and you just now realize that he’s still shirtless. you eye suna, and even in his barely awake state, he’s worth ogling over. his black sweatpants sit snugly on his legs, hanging a tad bit low. without the blanket, you’re granted full access to the muscles that your middle blocker friend has spent years honing. light catches around sunarin’s neck, and you register it to be the silver chain that you bought for his birthday. god, you wish you had your phone. his fans would start frothing if they saw him like this.
“bit cold out, no?” you finally catch his eyes, half open but focused on you.
“you’ve got my shirt, babe.” sunarin’s voice is still sleep-ridden, raspy even. “plus, you’re not even wearing pants.”
you look down. he got you. “fair enough.”
there’s a brief silence before you’re speaking again. “what happened? why are you awake?”
“bed was cold.” sunarin responds, and something about the response tugs at your heartstrings, but you ignore it nonetheless and sunarin doesn’t expand on it. “what are you doing out here?”
“thinking.” you say simply.
“about what?”
“you.”
it’s easy to spot that he wasn’t expecting that. sunarin’s eyes widen, and suddenly his brain wakes up. in typical suna fashion, he wipes his shock off, replacing it with an amused smirk. “i’m flattered, babe.”
you hum, opting for another downing of the seltzer. the middle blocker’s fox eyes follow the movements. “i see you’ve found them.”
“huh?” you glance at your hand. “oh. yeah.”
“let me taste it. i’ve never tried them before.” sunarin sticks his hand toward you. you raise an eyebrow but still comply.
the olympian takes a quick swig, pondering the taste on his tongue. he makes a soft noise of satisfaction before handing the can back to you. “it’s not bad.”
“what’d you buy them for?” you question. at least, you can get an answer now.
“they’re for you.” he answers, nodding his head toward you.
you chuckle emptily. “what?”
suna shrugs. “i’ve noticed. you’re the type who wants a drink after sex, but you don’t want anything ridiculously strong, but you’re also not satisfied with the juices i have in the fridge either. so i thought, why not meet in the middle?”
“you noticed that?”
sunarin furrows his eyebrows as if he didn’t understand why it’s so surprising. “‘course i did.”
“you don’t have to, y’know?” you whisper, suddenly feeling small.
“but i want to.” sunarin holds your gaze. it makes your heart pound a bit harder. “it’ll stop you from leaving.” he continues after a moment.
“what do you mean?”
suna clamps his lips shut as if he isn’t sure if he should reveal the reason to you, yet he does anyway. “it’s… weird… when you go. and yeah, you say that you’ll come back, but it feels… lonely in the minutes that you’re gone, and i don’t like it. but now that i think about it, i really should have gone with you. why the fuck did i allow you to leave alone?”
you shrug. “it’s okay. the convenience store is just around the corner. there’s cameras everywhere. i’m still here.”
“i know that.” suna sighs, slumping in his chair with a pout. “i know but still. either way, i just don’t want you going anymore. i feel more secure when i know you’re near.”
“oh.” you breathe out, feeling your blood heat up at those words. “thanks, sunarin.”
the middle blocker’s face scrunches up. “why do you still call me that? i’ve literally been inside you. you can call me rin. it’s fine.”
you roll your eyes at the joke, but the question weighs on you. you purse your lips together in thought. “it doesn’t feel right.”
“why wouldn’t it be?” suna adjusts his position, throwing his arm around your chair. his fingers hang down, barely touching your upper arm, and he’s trained solely on you.
“i mean,” you pause to gather your line of reasoning. “rin feels a lot more intimate.”
“and we’re not already?” sunarin smirks, but it only makes you sigh.
“no. fuck, how do i say it?” you point your gaze upward, poking the inside of your cheek as you think. suna lightly traces patterns on your arm while he waits, his grayish eyes never leaving your face. “it’s a lot more special, like it should be reserved for the people who really mean something to you.”
sunarin’s eyebrows furrow when he catches onto the implication. “are you saying you don’t think you mean anything to me?”
you shrug, beginning to chew on your lower lip. your leg starts subconsciously bouncing up and down. you swirl the contents of your white claw in the can before gulping more of it down. “i don’t know.” the line of formality and informality blurs and confuses you.
“(y/n). i’ve known you since high school.” sunarin reminds you.
“that doesn’t change anything.” you shake your head. “we didn’t reconnect until the twins’ birthday party six months ago.”
that seems to silence the olympian because he knows you’re right, and you let it run for minutes until your mind is gnawing at you, asking you to at least figure out where you stand with suna. “why me of all people, sunarin?”
“what?”
you gesture to the two of you. “this. our arrangement. why’d you choose me?”
“because.”
“because what? i mean, think about it,” you paint the picture for him. “models. idols. actresses. rich girls. you could have anyone you want.”
“sure, but none of them are you.” suna replies earnestly. you know he is, but a part of you is still not sold.
“but how could i possibly be better than them?” you press.
“because i trust you, (y/n). i trust you a lot more than i could ever trust them.” sunarin snaps back, causing you to blink at the outburst. he catches his tone, apologizes, and relaxes. he draws back the arm that was wrapped around your chair. “the spotlight has its perks, but it has its downsides too. it’s the same for anyone remotely famous. you have to keep your guard up at all times. if they find something to drag you for, it can ruin you and the career you’ve worked so hard to build.”
and when you don’t respond, suna ventures off into a different story. “did you know that you were the second person i consulted with about turning pro?”
“second?” you tilt your head, interested to see where this is heading.
“mhm.” he hums. “after kita, of course.”
“why?” you whisper. that seems to be the question of the night. why? why? why?
“you’re the realest person i’ve met, and the easiest to be around,” suna answers simply. “you’re reliable and honest, which is why i knew i could trust you to help me make a life-changing decision. you helped bring me into the place i am today all because you gave me a space where i could be insecure and vulnerable. i don’t need to keep my guard up when i’m around you. i can be me without any worry. you make me feel safe, (y/n). that’s why i chose you.” the middle blocker emphasizes.
you don’t know if it’s the alcohol, or the beauty of sunarin’s words, or maybe a combination of both, but you tears begin to well in your eyes.
suna frowns. his fingers instinctively reach to brush off the tears that cascade down your face. “hey, shh. it’s okay. don’t cry. it’s killing me, doll.” he whispers.
sunarin caresses your face with his large, somehow soft hand. the sight of you in this state makes his heart pound and his breath hitch. your glassy eyes catch every ray of light and the moonlight emphasize your beauty in ways that he never thought possible. you are a goddess bathed in light.
“you are so beautiful.” suna whispers before he’s pressing his lips to yours.
you reciprocate it instantly, eyes fluttering shut. two loose tears breach past, sliding down your face until they meet the corners of your lips. it mixes with the raspberry alcohol on your tongue, making the shared kiss between you and suna a flavor of bittersweet and salty, but neither of you care.
before, in moments of naked intimacy, kisses with suna were hot, desperate even. they made your body weak and took away your mind’s ability to function as his mouth dominated yours. it’s a result of the chemicals in your brain chasing a high.
this kiss is different. it’s a sensation better than anything you’ve ever felt before. it’s a combination of stars forming, tidal waves crashing, and butterflies flapping their wings at mach speed. this kiss makes you feel alive. you’re hyperaware of the heat suna’s touch lights on your face and throughout your entire body. the scent of his bodywash and shampoo intoxicate you. your heart pounds in your ears. sunarin feels so good. he always has.
and somehow, for a kiss that makes you experience every sensation at once, what really stands out is the way you feel comforted. every insecurity that plagued your mind dissipates with suna. he squashes them like they don’t matter because that’s what they are — insignificant.
is this what he meant? you think. is this what safety feels like?
when sunarin finally pulls away, you mourn the loss of him against you with a minuscule pout. suna reaches for your hands, bringing them up to his face so he can brush his soft lips against your knuckles.
“(y/n).” suna’s voice draws your eyes away from the olympian’s hold on your hands. “you are perfect just the way you are. you are exactly where you need to be. don’t let anyone, not even yourself, tell you otherwise, alright? if not, i’ll just have to hammer it into you until you understand. literally.” suna winks.
you roll your eyes at the innuendo, but a laugh escapes your throat, and sunarin grins. “there’s the pretty girl i know. come on, let’s go to bed. i’m fuckin’ tired.”
you down the last of your raspberry seltzer before standing up, discovering sunarin’s hand reached out towards you. without a second thought, you interlock your fingers with his, and you follow behind as the middle blocker slides open the glass door once more.
when you enter suna’s bedroom, you throw away the white claw can in the trash bin by his desk. you climb back into your side of the bed, pulling the blankets over your body, and scooting closer to suna’s warmth. sunarin hums as he slips his hand under your (but really his) shirt. his arm drapes itself around your waist. while you nuzzle your head into his chest, suna presses featherlight kisses on your forehead.
“good night, sweet girl.” suna whispers.
“g’night, rin.” you murmur back, not missing the way he smiles against your skin.

Batman's Code of Ethics
pairing: bruce wayne x gender neutral reader tags: batman's code of ethics, sad ending for the batman, divorce, relationship conflict, vengeance
You first met Bruce Wayne at a fundraiser in downtown Gotham—one of those glamorous events where champagne sparkled and conversations danced on the knife’s edge of philanthropy and pretense. But it was the little moments that made you fall in love with him: how he paused to listen intently when you spoke, the gentle way he rested his hand against yours, the subtle but steadfast warmth in his gaze.
That warmth was what drew you in. It was what bound the two of you together in a promise—one that, in time, grew to include your son, Jason Todd. From the outside, you were Gotham’s picture-perfect family. But beneath the veneer of limousines and charity balls was the knowledge that every night Bruce put on the cowl, he wrestled with the darkness that consumed his city. It didn't bother you in the beginning—you knew Batman and Bruce were one; you couldn't ask him to leave the suit behind in favor for your family. But when that call came through—saying that Jason had gone missing, changed everything
Your heart has never felt heavier, not in the far corners of childhood loneliness nor in the quiet heartbreak of the many nights Bruce spent alone on the streets. You never knew grief could taste this bitter—tainted by the helpless anger now threading through your every breath. The walls of Wayne Manor seem to loom around you, suffocating and full of shadows. The place once felt like home; now feels like a mausoleum.
Outside, rain spatters the windows, each drop a dull percussion to the cacophony in your head. You’re standing near the fireplace, hands balled into fists, knuckles white with tension. Across the room, Bruce stares at you. His posture is rigid, arms stiff at his sides. The family painting you had commissioned is hung on the far wall, and seeing it cause fresh tears to fall. Jason, your son—dead.
“I can’t believe this, Bruce,” you say, voice shaking with rage. “He was our son. Our boy. And you’re telling me there’s nothing you can do?”
He closes his eyes briefly, as though trying to steady himself. “You know I want justice,” he says, voice low and rough. “But I have—Batman has—rules.”
You bite down on the inside of your cheek so hard you taste blood. That single phrase, Batman has rules, ignites something in you, the memory of your son’s laughter mixing with the image of his lifeless body. “Do you think I care about Batman’s rules right now?” The words rip from your throat. “Don’t you dare throw your precious code at me! This isn’t about your crusade—this is about avenging the murder of our child.”
Bruce’s jaw tightens. His hands clench, the only outward sign he’s losing his carefully placed composure. “Gotham can’t fall into anarchy. I made a vow never to cross that line—”
“I can’t believe you’re more concerned about crossing lines than ending the one monster who took him from us!” you shout, voice echoing in the large room. “That clown…that monster is roaming free—he’ll do it again, Bruce. He will. And you won’t do anything?”
Lightning flashes outside, illuminating the tension. The fireplace flickers, and for an instant, you see every etched line on Bruce’s face—the strain, the sorrow, and the anger. He steps closer, each footfall echoing in the hush.
“You think I’m not doing anything?” he hisses, voice tremoring with a swirl of agony and indignation. “Every night, I go out there, I chase him, I stop him from harming someone else. But I don’t kill. Because if I do it once—just once—there’s no going back. The city will have lost its symbol of hope. I will have lost myself.”
You hurl the words at him, your voice trembling, “Symbols don’t matter more than life! More than Jason’s life! Don’t you want the Joker to suffer? Don’t you want to see him punished for what he did?”
“He’ll be punished by the law,” Bruce insists, though the confidence he’s trying to project is thin. “He’s going to Arkham—”
“Arkham?” you bark a laugh that feels like it tears you open from the inside. “He’ll escape again. He always does. You know it. I know it. And the cycle goes on, more people die, more children are orphaned, more families are broken. How many more Jasons? How many more nights do we have to grieve?”
He breathes hard through his nose, turning away as if to gather the scattered fragments of composure. “It’s not that simple—”
“Maybe it is that simple,” you say quietly, your initial anger collapsing into sorrow. “Maybe I just have to accept that what you wear at night means more to you than the life we built…than the son we raised together.”
You see the pain slice through him like a physical wound. He’s trembling, fists in tight knots at his sides, face set in grim lines. “Don’t do that,” he warns in a near whisper. “Don’t question how much I loved him. Don’t say this is about not caring. God, you know I cared. I love him. But I refuse to become the very thing I despise.”
“Then what am I supposed to do?” you ask, voice breaking. “Just stand by and let the system fail us again? Let the Joker walk free in six months, only to put someone else in a grave? I…I can’t do this. I can’t keep standing by.”
He takes a step closer, the space between you so thick with tension it’s almost tangible. Then he hesitates, gaze flicking over your features, and you see it clearly—a snap of anger flaring in him.
“You don’t understand me,” he spits in frustration. “You never did. You fell in love with the man behind the mask, but you never understood why the mask exists in the first place.” His voice is a tremulous roar in the hush. “You claim to know me, to love me, but you’d see me become a murderer?”
Every word that leaves his mouth strikes with precision, forcing your eyes to sting with tears you fight to keep at bay. “I’m not asking you to become anything,” you manage, voice raw. “I’m asking you to do what any father—any husband—would do. I’m asking you to show the Joker that he can’t take everything we have without real consequences.”
Your pleas dangle in the silence. You wait, though your heart already feels like it’s shattering. Bruce’s lips part, but no words come. You see the torment running through his mind, the moral lines he’s drawn over and over again since he first became the Batman. And you see the part of him that wants to agree with you, that wants to break the Joker and end the nightmare. But that war rages behind his eyes, and you realize he will not cross that line, no matter how deep the wound.
The hush that ensues is deafening. Finally, Bruce tears his gaze from yours. In that final, wordless moment, you understand each other too well. His morality—his vow—stands as an unbreakable wall between you, between him and vengeance, between your love and the path that would bring you both finality.
You brush past him, feeling the heat radiate off his body even as the chill of his rigid stance sets in. The only sound is your ragged breathing and the patter of the rain outside.
Days turn into weeks, and you sleep in separate bedrooms. Though you both wander the Manor’s halls like ghosts, you barely speak. And when you do, conversations are clipped and tinged with bitterness. Alfred’s gentle attempts at bridging the gap only highlight the chasm.
Gotham’s nights still see Batman swooping through the city, chasing down criminals, returning them to Arkham. It’s all the same routine that took your son away, all the same cycle that left Jason’s place at the dinner table forever empty.
The day of Jason’s funeral arrives. You stand in front of his headstone—Jason Todd Wayne, beloved son. Bruce stands next to you, silent as a statue. The city’s skyline is stark behind you both. The weight of finality sinks in: he is truly gone. And the man you love, whose eyes reflect unspeakable pain, remains as resolute as ever in the vow that distances him from you.
In that moment, sorrow merges with conviction; you realize you can’t be with him like this. You can’t reconcile yourself to it. You can’t keep watching him throw criminals back into Arkham only for them to escape. You can’t watch him refuse the final step, the step you desperately believe in, to save another family from this torment.
You quietly take off the ring Bruce gave you—polished titanium, etched with your initials. You slip it into his hand, fingers closing over his palm, and brush away the tears that fall freely now.
“Bruce,” you whisper, voice thick with grief, “I can’t stand at your side after this. What you’re doing, how you’re not ending it. Maybe it’s noble. Maybe it makes you a hero. But I can’t live with it. Not after Jason.”
He looks at the ring, the bright metal in his gloved hand. He doesn’t speak, his throat too tight with emotion. You think for a moment he’ll protest—that he’ll reach for you, try to fix what’s broken—but he doesn’t. Perhaps he knows, deep inside, that his unyielding lines will never coincide with yours now.
Months later, in a quiet lawyer's office, the finalization of your divorce is as cold and pragmatic as signing any legal form. The media never gets wind of it—the Wayne name shields such intimate heartbreak behind well-guarded gates. You walk away from the building's room with finality. Nothing left to say.
You remember Bruce once whispering, We do what we must for Gotham, for justice. But for you, the definition of justice had changed irrevocably the day you lost Jason. There is no bridging the distance between your brand of justice and Batman’s unwavering line.
In the hush of your new apartment, boxes half-unpacked, you find a small photo of you, Bruce, and Jason on a rare sunny day by the Manor gardens. Jason’s grin is broad, unstoppable—the future once felt so boundless. You press the photo to your chest, letting the wave of grief pass over you like a slow tide, your tears falling onto a cardboard box top.

Cheers to new beginnings
Ambessa AU! X fem!single mom AU reader
context: You a single mom meets Ambessa at an event she changes everything.
You hadn’t thought about dating in years. Between the pressure of being a single mom and your job the idea of love felt like a fever dream. You’d built a good life for yourself and your little one your days were filled with laughter bedtime stories and the occasional tantrum. But you weren’t lonely at least that’s what you told yourself.
Then Ambessa entered your life.
You met her at a fundraiser your family friend hosted but you almost didn’t attend. She’d been the keynote speaker for the fundraiser. When she introduced herself afterward you couldn’t stop staring her confident smile and the way her eyes seemed to see straight through you. By the time you left that night she’d already asked you to dinner and you’d said yes before your brain could catch up.
The dates were magical long conversations over candlelit meals make out sessions and the sense that she genuinely wanted to know you. But the fear lingered in the back of your mind. You’d been down this road before and your daughter had always been the dealbreaker. As much as you wanted to believe Ambessa was different you were terrified to find out.
One evening as you sat across from her at in her living room you decided it was time to tell her. But before you could work up the courage Ambessa leaned back in her chair a rare softness crossing her features.
“I want to share something with you” she began. Her voice usually so commanding was almost tender. “I have children.”
You blinked stunned. “You… you do?”
Ambessa smiled her gaze distant for a moment. “Two. Grown now. But I remember the chaos of their younger years well enough.” Her smile deepened as she added
“And the joy too.”
Relief flooded you and before you knew it you were telling her about your little one. Ambessa listened closely asking questions that made it clear she wasn’t just being polite she was actually interested. By the end of the night the weight on your chest had lifted and for the first time in years you felt like maybe just maybe this could work.
A few weeks later Ambessa suggested meeting your daughter. “I’d like to know the most important part of your life” she said her saying that made your heart ache in the best way. Nervous but hopeful you agreed.
The introduction happened at a park on a sunny afternoon. You watched from a bench as Ambessa approached your daughter crouching to her level and introducing herself with a warm smile. Your little one shy at first quickly warmed up to her especially after Ambessa offered to push her on the swings.
It was surreal watching someone so powerful be so sweet. you watch you giggling child around the playground her deep laugh blending with your daughter’s squeals of delight.
Later as you packed up to leave your daughter clung to Ambessa’s leg and demanded another playdate. Ambessa laughed ruffling her hair. “Anytime” she said and you knew she meant it.
One evening Ambessa insisted on giving you a break. “You deserve a night to yourself” she said firmly. Despite your protests she showed up at your door with a confident smile and a bag of toys and books she’d picked out herself.
“Are you sure about this?” you asked for the tenth time glancing nervously at your daughter who was already tugging on Ambessa’s hand.
Ambessa raised an eyebrow. “You’re not the only one who knows how to handle a toddler you know.”
You laughed “well you two have fun”
The night turned into a whirlwind of activity for Ambessa. There was a tea party complete with stuffed animal guests a dramatic retelling of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and a bath that turned into a small flood.
“Why do they make toys that squirt water?” Ambessa muttered wiping her face as your daughter giggled and splashed in the tub.
Later she found herself trying to assemble a castle out of blocks while answering rapid fire questions about her life.
“Do you have a dog?”
“No.”
“Do you like dinosaurs?”
“Who doesn’t?”
“Can I have another cookie?”
“Only if you eat this carrot first.”
By the time your daughter’s eyelids started drooping Ambessa felt both exhausted and oddly happy she was on the verge of going to sleep. She carried her to bed humming a lullaby she hadn’t sung in years and stayed until the soft snores filled the room.
When you returned later that night you found Ambessa sitting on the couch your daughter fast asleep on her chest. Toys were scattered everywhere and a half eaten plate of cookies sat on the coffee table.
“She insisted on a tea party” Ambessa said softly not wanting to wake your daughter. “And then we read… I lost count of how many books.”
Your heart swelled as you took in the sight of them together. Ambessa who had always seemed so untouchable looked perfectly at home with your little girl snuggled against her.
You sat down beside them brushing a strand of hair from your daughter’s face. “Thank you” you whispered.
Ambessa met your gaze her expression warm. “For what?”
“For being here. For… everything.”
She smiled leaning in to press a gentle kiss to your forehead. “You don’t need to thank me. This is exactly where I want to be.”
As you rested your head on her shoulder the three of you together in the quiet glow of the evening you realized you hadn’t just found love you’d found a partner. Someone who saw all of you including the parts you thought would scare her away and embraced them fully.
The future no longer felt dreadful it felt like the start of a new chapter one filled with love laughter and the family you’d always dreamed of.
“THE END”
I hope I did your request the way you wanted 🫶🏾
