I'LL BE REAL WITH YOU DAWG.....NOT HAPPY ABOUT THE DESIGN. it's too crowded but i was too far into it to stop and if it was too empty it would not look like a vocaloid design AT ALL it'd just look like a loveball and 2020 redesign fusion........ so i might remake it again but for now this is what i cooked up in like three hours. character design is hell never let me touch it again (i love character designing)(just not this one)

tw: mentions of very intense religious groups + torture disclaimer: this doesn't really fit in sw canon BUT. in a galaxy of absolutely billions and billions of sapient beings, you CANNOT convince me that there are only 2 groups of force sensitive beings + a few small breakoffs. so. i made my own small breakoff group

far off in the outer rim lies a backwater mountain planet known locally as sjaell, home to a peculiar chiss that is extremely powerful in the ways of the force. once prospecting to become a sith apprentice, the man saw far more in his future than serving a selfish lord that cared not for his innovation. instead, he defected from the CIS in order to begin his own colony of devoted followers that all shared in his belief. his passion for conquest was naturally accompanied by a thirst for blood, leaving a trail of corpses just about everywhere he ventured.

along his journey, he began coming across force sensitive children that had been deemed either too old or too passionate to be eligible as future jedi, creating the perfect conditions for apprentices of his own. by the time he reached sjaell in his conquest, the man—hoova—had claimed three children of his own: asara (lethan twi'lek), chi'daal (deep sea nautolan), and lastly, sykobe (pseudomelanistic togruta). all three children were taken from their natural environments, with each race being highly prized by the chiss for their natural abilities as apex predators.

growth of the group was slow, as hoova spent the first decade raising the young children to be formidable warriors with the same unhinged, murderous urges that his connection with the force brought him. over the years as his connection became more and more destructive, he began to divert much of his energy and power into his three chosen heirs, solidifying their fates as bloodthirsty assassains that served him, their god. with members joining both willingly and by force, hoova began to assert himself as an untouchable deity, and anyone who dared oppose him met a swift end by the hands of his chosen, the sjaellspawn (iykyk LOL).

these spawn—extremely ferocious in nature—were notoriously hard to control as they reached adulthood. insatiable urges to spill blood met with powers gifted to them from their proclaimed god made for lethal attack dogs that often could not tell friend from foe. on a failed expedition to observe the abnormalities in the force, two members of the jedi council were met with a deadly foe as they got far too close to the cult and its domain. only one jedi survived, barely escaping within inches of his life as he desperately retreated, leaving a fallen padawan behind.

the surviving jedi was not ready to let the loss of his padawan go unaccounted for. the jedi, master sikoal kanakan, rallied the 321st clone legion, as well as the legion's general to stage an assault on sjaell. the mission, while disapproved of by the high council, succeeded in the capture of sykobe after commander hurricane lured him into a trap by manipulating the togruta's thirst for blood, leaving him vulnerable to various traps that ultimately detained him.

as the story stands now, sykobe is aboard the venator enroute to coruscant, awaiting trial to be executed for the murder of a jedi. however, rumor has it that after arc troopers blessing and waves discovered master kanakan's relentless torture of the togruta, the clones began to stage an escape mission that could possibly cost them their ranks, as they had come to learn that the crime itself had been staged onto sykobe with the intentions of waging war on the inhabitants of sjaell.

morton: morton takes after roy, but not completely. (the subtle differences are important) this shows in the amount of spikes, and similar shirt, but overall softer look

iggy: iggy was my biggest revamped design and my favorite (i may have projected a little by giving him acne scars but i feel like they suit him - those shaved zig zags on the sides of his head are directly inspired by lemmy's side pattern also slightly yellower teeth for realism, i feel like he drinks a lot of coffee, and as a coffee lover, it tends to stain the teeth a bit)

My new ocs, Honey and Milk, came from an old concept I was working on back in 2018. I thought it'd be funny if the new versions got to interact with their old counterparts ^^

The last panel shows another original character, Milk, interacting with her earlier design. The revamped Milk is a winged fairy with white skin and a cream colored dress and pigtails. Original Milk stands on the ground with her short stature, wearing a cow print cloak over a green shirt. She has similar pigtails, except with black tips on the ends. She has vitiligo spots on her face. Both versions seem to be happy to meet each other, further shown when the fairy says "I dunno- mine's kinda cute!"

Below all the panels is a small drawing of a third character, Lemon, standing alone. Lemon is a brown skinned person wearing blue overalls and a leaf print bandana. They have a large sword drooping in one hand. As he quivers and cries by himself, a faded caption below him reads "meanwhile Lemon is all alone..."

Finished first draft designs of the hazbin cast- Alastor., Charlie, Angeldust, Nifty , and Vaggie.

Some of them got minor redesigns while others got revamped, so I’ll be going down the line and discussing my reasoning for each one (please note, these are not perfect, and probably are not animator friendly, I did this for fun, and a lot of the decisions I made were because I felt like it. Do not throw a fit if you don’t like them)

Alastor- when redesigning alastor I focused on 3 major details: that he was from the 1920s-1930s, he was from the south, and that he was a “radio demon”. I took away the voodoo stuff cause that felt like a really weird way to associate him with Louisiana culture, and instead went for the more “southern gentleman” feel using the slicked back hair and simple clothes. I also replaced his monocle with a full pair of glasses, because I think not being able to see his eyes makes him more menacing, same thing with the straight teeth. I made his color palette into warm browns to kind of give the vibe of an old timey radio- with a highlight of gold as well. Side note: I like to imagine he doesn’t open his mouth, and instead it just lights up like an actual radio- cause I think that’s cool character flavor. I also kept his deer motif cause ,apparently, it was supposed to connect with how he died- plus I’m always a sucker for the kind of evil character that has an innocent animal theme, super fun. (Also his microphone is sentient and does change the text depending on the situation)

Charlie Morningstar- I think Charlie is a lovely character, she’s one of favorites, but she felt pretty plain in some aspects. I learned that she was kind of inspired by porcelain dolls, which gave me an interesting idea of making into kind of a “devils Pinocchio”- because what’s more innocent than a doll imbued with the power of her father’s dreams? So I really leaned into the soft friendly doll look, giving her ball joints and large eyes that stare into your soul. I softened a lot of her colors and gave her rounder shapes as well as leaning into the goat aspects of her character, because i thought it could be fun to have her play off the deer motif that alastor has.

Angel Dust- My boy , my good lad. He is also pretty solid when it comes to design , however- HE DID NOT LOOK LIKE A SPIDER. I had no idea that his freckles were supposed to be eyes until I rewatched it. Soooo I definitely tried to make him more spider like by making his eyes more prominent and giving him pointy side burns that act as mandibles. I also gave him him his spider butt and some weird ass legs. Oh and , unrelated, I like to imagine he does burlesque.

Nifty- MY FAVORITEE , I love nifty guys, she’s my POOKIE bear. When going into her design I knew I wanted to make her look older since I thought it was weird how much she was infantilized so I gave her lipstick and pearl earrings to make her look more like a refine 1950s housewife, as well as give her an apron and cleaning gloves to make her feel more like a maid. I also leaned into her subtle bug theme by giving her antennae, and giving polka dots on her dress for a very subtle lady bug theme (cause she’s my little lady). Some more small things I gave her a little swirl in her bangs to call back to victory rolls, as well as some subtle hints of green to call back to the uranium craze of that time.

Vaggie- she was difficult. Initially, I had no idea what I wanted to do with her, but I think that’s also because she’s not a very fleshed out character? Her whole story is kind of , Support Charlie and be a fallen angel.(still love chaggie tho) So I took some creative liberties, and gave her a more mature look- with some periwinkle to act as a subtle hint to her angelic nature. I also gave her the monocle from alastor design cause I thought it made more sense for her? Like, if anyone is gonna have the one eyed visual aid it’s gonna be the bitch with one eye. It also makes her look more matured? And I gave her a moth broach to call back to her moth inspo.

Annnd that’s it! I’ll be working on the next batch soon, which will likely have husk and sir pentious, if you have any other people you wanna see lmk!

Synopsis:

“As children, the world is innocent and bright. Creativity and laughter knew no bounds, curiosity and joy was plentiful. A right that every child should have…but not everyone is met with that luxury.

Her earliest memories, perhaps even before, was nothing else but needles and test tubes as injected by familiar yet distinct faces, wearing their lab coats. There weren’t windows or clock to till the time, the adults around Frisk provided her with the most basic needs as any other lab experiment requires. To everyone, she was alone. At least to the other scientists.

When the day those government bastards stormed in and rescued 7 year-old Frisk from that hellish lab, she dared not speak about her ghostly friends to any adult out of fear they do the same as her previous captors.

With no other family relatives to claim Frisk after her rescue, she grew up in the foster care system. While attempts have been made to give Frisk a proper home, it wasn’t easy to deal with her personality changes and sleepwalking for the adults. Therapy and constantly placed under new medication didn’t seem to help at all. The other children weren’t easy on Frisk either, finding her creep when they catch her talking with no one in particular. School was even a bigger issue as she struggled to understand any sort of subject, often lagging behind with incomplete assignments.

It came to ahead where Frisk had finally aged out of the foster care system and decided to drop out of high school to find work. It wasn’t easy, especially as the older Frisk got, the bigger the burden her ghost friends became as their power grew.

But maybe life isn’t as cruel as she imagined. She got a job at a local cafe/bar joint owned a the married couple, a female Fire Elemental and male Spider monster type. They were nice enough to offer a room for her to rent in their apartment in exchange for her photography skills and encouraged her to get a GED. The ghost kids even seem to have settled down their childish behavior as well. Noting that they help her remember orders and use their ghostly powers to clean and move objects. And Frisk also has herself flirting with a familiar Skeleton monster who frequents the joint after her college classes.

Yes, maybe, just maybe life isn’t as cruel like she imagined…but you know the say, your past always comes back to haunt you…”

Hi…so dragons in my au

Im still thinking what kind of roll I would give to the dragon girlies I’ll have to think abt it carefully. I think more than a year ago I redesigned the dragons for my au, but now that I have a solid design of the Golden Goddesses I decided to go back to my old au designs and revamp them.

So in my LF au but also my GG au the Golden Goddesses in a last ditch effort they become dragons and leave behind the triforce. Their names have been altered and changed by the course of time so that is why their dragon counterparts have different names from their original form.

So Nayru -> Naydra, Farore -> Farosh, Din -> Dinnral

Now to their designs (tee hee <3) if u already have seen my designs of the Golden Girlies u already know I’ll implement their race heavily on to their dragon designs. Along w some other stuff

She’s a Minish! Tbh she would probably be the “closest” one to the canon designs. But I do have a few ref ideas I would like to implement to her dragon design. Red Ruffed Lemurs for head shape and also the eyes ❤️(and maybe fur also) and having a slim reptilian body. She’s the simplest out of the two but that is mostly cause I have a clear idea of her.

Naydra will mostly stick to the water regions of Hyrule and occasionally go on the cold snowy mountains of Lanayru. I’ll go w a salamander/axolotl approach to her design, and just to be freaky w it I’ll give her human-like teeth like those types of fishes in replacement of dragon teeth

POKEDDEXY 3: DRAGON - No. 149 & No. 706 ( + No.148 )

this took so long because i decided it would be a great idea to draw not one but TWO AND 1/8 OF A CHARACTER... Originally I was planning on just redesigning my old dragonite oc, but goomy is one of my favorite pokemon, soo... I wanted to represent it somehow since it's not on my list for the following days. You may recognize the little headshot as my dragon entry from last year!

WEWWWWW old art. Originally Oasis was my 'Champion Lance' for a pokemon HGSS nuzlocke run I did WAYYY back then, you can even see Ancheim (the dragonair/dratini) there too! He was the league champion and the dragonair is younger brother by several years.

Revamped, I imagine Oasis to still be part of a champion team/have held the title at some point, along with the Mirage (the goodra), who's his teammate, and yknow... History would call them ""close friends"". Oasis is kind of a goofball and battle junkie, whereas his younger brother and his totally-not-partner are more stoic and grumpy.

tbh if not for the fact this was a redesign I would've gone a different direction with the clothing, but decided I wanted to stick to the style I already chose out long ago <:D

IDK, maybe it's just me (and take this with a grain of salt, bc I've been playing SSO since 2017 and only recently started engaging in the fandom after lurking for years), but I do not recall the thirst for Sabine and people shipping their characters with her being anywhere near as prevalent when she still looked like this:

Were there Dark Core and Dark Rider fans before then? Absolutely.

But SSE was definitely not pushing Sabine in their marketing when she still looked like that, let alone making official posts about how hot she is to pander to her fanbase.

Furthermore, a quick search on AO3 filtering for fics written from 2012 - 2021 (excluding crossovers & only searching for complete works) prior to Sabine's character model update (in 2022) only results in 3 fanfics. Excluding crossovers and filtering for all works brings that number up to 5 works.

Which means that the 33 complete fics written featuring her [using the same "exclude crossovers" + "complete works only" parameters when searching] (5 of which are not tagged as Sabine/Reader or Sabine/Original Female Character fics) were all written from 2022 to present post-Sabine model revamp. And the majority of those are Explicit rated Sabine/Reader or Sabine/OFC fics. I'm sure that if one were to include crossovers and WIPs there would be a lot more results.

So yes, there is a significant jump in the amount of fanworks centered around Sabine after her 2022 revamp compared to the amount of fics featuring her when she still had her Starshine Legacy model.

For the record: I'm not saying fans can't be horny for her, because fandom doing fandom shit in fandom spaces is one thing.

But it's entirely another for the company itself to be pulling this and feeding into Sabine's fanbase in a way that SSE simply does not with any other character in the game. Not even Ydris. And focusing on Sabine to the exclusion of the other Dark Riders or even the Soul Riders. SSE itself will make social media posts (Twitter, Instagram, usw.) on how hot Sabine (an older teenage girl / adult woman) is, when the primary demographic for Star Stable Online is 6 - 14- year-old girls.

And from my perspective, it's solely because Sabine's character was revamped to look "hot" and ambiguously brown. Plus adult players attracted to women going "muscle mommy, step on me". (When this is not a dating sim game and SSO doesn't even have a dating mechanic. I digress.)

That being said, interesting that between the Dark Riders and the Soul Riders, SSE has revamped all but maybe one of the Dark Riders to have darker skin and more masculine-looking clothing + gender-neutral names (i.e. Sabine and Jessica/Jay's redesigns) when they are the villains. Yet the Soul Riders only have Linda (Pakistani) and maybe the player character... and all the NPC Soul Riders are still given the same clothing types as any other female character in the game. Add in that with additional lore in the comics and novels with the Dark Riders not being human but still playing into negative stereotypes in their design choices about people of color...

That is Not Great.

Some notes on the character redesign and revamp:

-character’s name has been updated from Percival to Raendia. Character now goes by the name Raendia Knight, or simply Rae for short. At time of making character I did not know Falspar’s English name was Percival.

-changed character’s origins. Instead of being raised by a humanoid in an army setting, he was raised by a Landia on Halcandra. He 100% will (very lightly) brag about having four moms.

-character’s ability to turn into a dragon has been scrapped, but being raised by a dragon is a nod towards such. Character instead has the ability to fire breath (through non organic means) and create harmful wind gusts and electrical powers.

-changed mask, updated mask has fake horns to look like Landia horns, as well as the cheek spikes the Landia has. Mask cutout shape has been updated to be the same shape as the landia’s facial markings.

-kept that this guy is my universe’s founder of the GSA.

-tail is now fake and meant to look like a landia’s tail, it is part of the fur cape meant to look like a landia’s fur.

-added a faint scale pattern to the shoulder pads for that dragon theme.

-gave the character’s left paw those gloves with the claw tips you’d see in gardening. Because I think he should be able to do the scratchy scratchy.

-sword now has lore. It’s an Ancient Artifact like the Master Crown is and belonged to his Landia parent, that was one of the artifacts the dragon was guarding. But they trust their kid to have it and know he’s responsible! Sword’s name and what it does is currently undecided.

-since character was raised by dragon he primarily speaks in growls and roars as his first language. He also can speak Ancient and New and Old Galactic Common. He also has the table manners of a dragon.

i have decided to randomly infodump about my lab rats as a way to motivate myself to: 1) revamp existing characters old refs and 2) DRAW THE GD REFERENCES OF THE REST OF THE BITCHES (this will probably take me ages still. alas), more rambly details abt the story and characters under the cut

the main characters: Dr. Kitty Whisker and her twin sibling Happy(tbd), Dr. Brainworms, Gummi (comic relief character mostly), Prof. Fuzzybottom(tbd) and Prof. Snakebite (previously known as prof. pinky, i need to redesign him more heavily)

the side characters (these guys may have side stories of their own but theyre mostly just an excuse for me to design more weird lab rats): Prof. Smartypants - ref to be finished, ferret with a brain of a human, she is my 'authors blatant self insert' into my own story lol; Fishsticks (drawn, a dissected mouse/frog stitched together), (the rest of these dont have names yet) a rat/chick hybrid with funy lil chicken legs, a rat/gator/shark hybrid she is punk and goth and she Bites, a mouse/cat dna mix with a surprisingly tragic backstory that im still working out, more tba

each lab rat represents usually an amalgamation of different experiments as the lab they are in is 'cheap' with their test subjects and likes to Repurpose old, usually failed experiments and do other stuff to them! honestly even if theyre a success they still end up getting experimented on more lol but they are still unimportant enough and the lab big enough where they can hide themselves away and have their own space w/o being actively searched for. ofc the world of the setting is based on our own reality but way more Hyperreal, i dont aim to represent logical feats of science bc a lot of these guys would defs be revolutionary (and impossible) irl lol. i will briefly run down what each main character is a result of but ideally id like to go into more detail when i actually. make the story more visual in whatever format i decide to do (probably experimental and non linear snippets, i dont think im smart enough for a full comic)

Dr. Kitty and Happy are twins! they were the result of an experiment where the scientists were testing if one species of rodent could gestate a different species of rodent just thru a little genetic modification. and that was Happy! he is actually a bunny born from a rat mother and with all rat siblings (one of them being Kitty) hes a bit smaller in stature than a usual bunny being more rat sized but other than that just a bnuuy! further experiments on them was how well skin grafting would work between different yet similar species. it worked for Kitty (hence the bunny ear) but not so much for Happy... both of them had separate experiments done on them also, altho Kitty was more rebellious of the two earning her the shock collar. Happy also had experiments on his fur to make it color changing like a chameleon, as well as some experiments to his eye (tbd)

Dr. Brainworms is actually a sapient amoeba/bacteria type thing, attached to a host body(that happens to be a hairless rat), this host body is her most compatible one as she Can overtake and control other bodies but they start to decay pretty quickly. her history is something she herself is trying to find out as her host body is its own mystery.. is she just an amoeba that gainted sentience? is her mind really her own? was this body maybe always hers? who knows!

Gummi is a jelly belly gummy rat candy brought to life, pretty self explanatory... but shes got a few mysteries of her own! like, why was she even created, for what purpose, i mean who could even do such advanced science anyway to bring an inorganic candy to life, and Why does she keep talking abt a scientist with green gloves when there arent any scientists like that around?

Prof. Fuzzybottom is a rabbit! she used to be just used for breeding new test subjects which left her pretty traumatized not being able to keep any of her children, she became infertile from the stress so she was repurposed for other experiments, like trying to turn her fur to naturally be an unnatural color, and to be more synthetic like faux fur (aka a living plush) she was also blind so they replaced her eyes with a plushy sleeping mask that actually has LEDs inside that are hooked up to her brain to see if they could restore vision thru cybernetics. in her original iteration she was even supposed to be half rat half bunny buut i felt it too much, might still reuse the idea tho! tbh i just wanted a bunny with cute rat hands :3

Prof. Snakebite is not even a lab rat originally, he was simply a pinky rat used to feed the lab snakes, but due to freak circumstances he was actually still alive and after being bitten by a venomous snake, the stress hormones in his little body make him develop rapidly especially in brain power. as he was still very tiny and fragile, he wasnt the best subject to experiment on, but he was fitted with a brain chip originally just to read and analyze his brain development as he was much more advanced in mind than in body (of an almost newborn). after escaping he would upgrade his brain chip to help him utilize more brain power but also lessen the burden on his tiny body that could not handle the strain. he and prof. fuzzybottom are always hanging around each other, fuzzy very often babying him or just helping him out by carrying him and helping him reach places or handle objects, while he begrudgingly tolerates her as she is useful to his needs. also cant admit he appreciates her actually awww

the rest of the side characters are pretty self explanatory, theyre mostly just various animal hybrids and crossbreeds and splices! smh only the main characters get cool powers and shit -_- aside from Prof. Smartypants, after having a ferrets body fitted with a human mind(who doesnt remember the human part almost at all. its just the advanced intellect from it) tries to figure out the weird body dysmorphia with Science Potions aka chemisty. but thats mostly just to give another one of my sonas shapeshifting ablities (go figure) so yah if u read this so far Waow o_o Thank U and also Pls Send me asks abt this. if u want <3 can be questions or just ur thoughts ig!! id love feedback pleas please plea
