in general i roll my eyes at people who complain about all the new quality of life improvements in modern pokémon games bc inconvenience and genuine challenge are two very different things. but the one thing i would definitely agree on that i don’t like in sv is the ability to access your pc boxes any time. it sort of cheapens the experience of having to carefully choose which six pokémon you’re taking before venturing into unknown danger. like i don’t think you should be able to catch a pokémon in the depths of area zero and immediately put it in your party i think you gotta be loyal to whoever you took initially. it’s about being forced to have a plan for all outcomes
#like you can switch your pokémon in the middle of the elite 4… be so real#personally i never did in either of those situations#sv being the first game i played (that had a pokémon league i mean) i didn’t know about the whole type specialist thing#not that i would’ve been able to tell what type those ppl were anyway#but in any case i was like well might as well just stick with my same loyal 6 right#pokémon#sv#in a similar vein i’m kinda unsure about how i feel about being able to remember moves anytime#i think if i could change it i would make it so that you could freely swap moves *at any pokémon center*#like remembering new moves is free but only at certain locations#although one could argue that’s just introducing slight inconvenience without making it more difficult#bc you can fast travel to those places any time#but i guess it would hit you in like area zero#idk#maybe i’d make it so you can do it on the go anytime but it does cost something#but instead of rare difficult (or just plain annoying) once per day items like heart scales#have it be either plain old cash or like. some significantly easier item#idk. the convenience is super nice on that one. but it is kinda weird that it would be so easy to get your pokémon to get its moves back

I was just thinking what a cool job this might be.. what if you were just the person who makes little still images of cute animal figurines doing various activities to post on social media...? like.. show up to work and just spend the whole day like "hmm... this table should be placed to the left a little.. let me set this miniature bagel down in this way... this tiny rabbit should be wearing a scarf", setting the backgrounds, the lighting, etc. ... dream job perhaps lol...
#I'm sure it probably doesnt pay much lol#but.. maybe in some ideal world..#with my health and mental conditions and level of functioning there are VERY few Jobs I could actually EVER manage aside from#just being self employed and being able to set my own hours somehow etc... But every once in a while I come across something like this#and it's like... hrmm.... Yes... perhaps if I could align myself in this hyper specific scenario under hyper specific conditions in a#precise and predictable way and everything worked out perfectly and I had all the accomodations I might need.. maybe I could#do THAT thing then .. lol#Not just generally a 'social media manager' or something. I think that would drive me into the throes of madness#but SPECIFICALLY 'person who makes the images for the calico critters social media' and also#the place i have to go to do that is either my home or within walking distance of my home and also i rarely have to interact#with others aside from the posts probably going through some approval process and initial ideas where they tell me what#type of scene to make and also i somehow make $90.000 a year doing this for only 4 days a week with frequent sick breaks#dreamy sigh and so on and so forth and such and so on#ANYWAY........#the idea of meticulously placing little pastries and miniature crayons and stuff around all day until the scene is perfectly crafted.. SO#SO so appealing to me... like designing environments in the sims except it's real and tangible.. And also imagine having access#to the FULL library of miniature items. to me that would be just as good as owning them#Like.. I get to use them and make little scenes with them and hold them and stare at them and everything except also#they're all kept at work so I don't have boxes of clutter filling home.#unlimited access to every little miniature food ever crafted yet none of the downsides (purchase cost and storage)#etc. etc. ANYWAY ...#Chuckling confidently as I add this onto the 'List Of ''Real'' Jobs I Could Do' which is just a notebook sheet of paper with only like 5#other similarly unlikely hyperspecific scenarios scribbled down

#i've never been any good at thrifting clothes cos i just don't have the required patience and attention span#i DO however love thrifting kitchen items and decor items and especially pots for my plants#cos i have a fair few plants right? i think i have somewhere between 95 and 115 in the living room/kitchen aka the main room#granted 1/3 of them are propagations that are hanging out in water as i haven't gotten around to put them in soil yet#and some of them aren't ready for a soil home quite yet anyway#anywayyyy the point is that buying pots for all of those straight from the store would become sooo expensive in the long run#ceramic pots are pricey y'all. especially the bigger ones#at the thrift shop on the other hand....i got four lovely small/medium sized pots for a grand total of $14 yesterday#(actually no. one of them was a tea pot. but it was a pretty yellow colour and i figured ykw i'll use that as a flower pot np)#which was lovely cos the og price tags were still on two of them and one originally cost $30 and the other $45#i like saving money and i adore my mismatched collection of flower pots🥰#i'm gonna head to a different thrift shop now#cos i want a couple of big vases for my big boi propagations but couldn't find any good ones at the one i went to yesterday#i also wanna see if maybe they have a pretty green flower pot? like forest green or moss green or smth like that#this has been random ramblings with anna☀️

clothes shopping at places that aren't thrift stores is so nerve-wracking i don't like this. like. things being 30-40 dollars? mmm i can handle it this is good quality and not second hand. sure. over 50? aaa! scary! over 60? what the fuck man i'm gonna throw up. every pair of shoes i own was acquired for under ten dollars i can't handle this

Sometimes I'm like "yeah I probably have autism but it's not a big deal. I'm doing alright" and other times I go to the grocery store and end up crying in the car and thinking maybe I'd rather just starve than ever have to buy food again. But that's normal right?

I have never seen a cloud print thing out in the wild actually#OR sometimes you finally find stuff that's sky/cloud themed but it's like... a washcloth for babies. instead of a shirt. ... sad#they probably do have them and you can maybe get them at stores sometimes but. hhhh.....#Buying things new is so stinky. everything costs over $10 >:( why.. why cost mony >:(#I think once you get used to everything being like 25 cents an item to MAYBE $8 or something at a real thrift store#going to online or in person stores and seeing stuff like a cloud dress but it's $65 is like.......... I could never. I could never fathom#I mean. I WOULD pay $65 for a dress if it was literally like. Exactly every specific thing I love all in one and I know I would never find#it again in my entire life and could not make it myself and etc. etc. Like a pastel blue and white historical style dress with#puffy sleeves that goes down to the ankles and has a high ruffled collar and also has a pattern with cats and clouds and stars on it and the#sleeves and striped and there's lace and bows and things dangling from the cuffs and part of it is irridescent and there are long buttons or#lacing or some other elaborate details and tassles somewhere also and it's layered and 3 sizes too big for me so it's not tight#or etc. etc. I would pay maybe $80 for that. Perhaps $100 if it came with accessoriy bits (like a ruffled fancy apron or shawl or hisorical#bonnet or matching gloves that also had cats on them etc. ) - but otherwise. No.#ANYWAY. for someone who loves clouds SO much. #also never shopping in my nearest town again maybe#i saw my cousin's ex who lives an hour away and her friend together which is so....... like wow i really thought i'd seen the last of him#very messy situation#started talking to a cashier/stocker i've spoken with on occasion for several years and she showed me some of her art & poetry (???)#got in line in front of one of my former classmate's dads who tried to proposition me right after my mom died#went to the new dollar store which has four self checkouts & one manned‚ tried to use a self checkout and the cashier said#'we don't have self checkouts' i said 'do you mean today or period' she said 'period' and we discussed how badly that's got them fucked up#they're literally running one of the self checkouts as a manned checkout when things get busy like...#and it was JUST built!! like just less than a year ago i think#i always come home from that town wanting to pull my hair out it's sooo strange!! like everything is craaazy#i also got fucking scammed!#i forgot to check until just now but the grocery store likes to run a weekly sale then not update the computers to reflect it#like they've done this for years and years#and i paid $1.99/lb for apples that were marked down to $1.12/lb so i overpaid a damn dollar#during the panini when it was my only source of groceries sometimes the difference would literally be like $50 because of big ticket items#i'd usually walk out‚ unload and read the receipt‚ then walk back in and get my refund. every friday.#and if i didn't i'd be out like $100/month for nothing on top of everything costing double what it did in the city#that place is fucking cursed. like there's just layers and layers of misery covering every surface.#adam yaps

after the knitting project i just finished i feel fairly confident in saying that one day i will open up a knitting etsy shop :)
#dichromaticdyke.exe#yes it will be mtl/dethklok themed#would probably only be able to do limited runs of each item...could MAYBE do a couple made to measure pieces on commission#but also for more popular stuff i'd be willing to sell the patterns so ppl could make them themselves! we'll have to see#all i know is i LOVE the design i just finished and i have enough yarn to make at least 2 more of it#the only thing that would suck is figuring out pricing since reimbursing myself fairly would NOT match up with what ppl are willing to pay.#i didn't actually time how long it took to make but i'd have to estimate around 15 hours? i think? idk lol. but assuming that...#for minimum wage plus cost of materials i would have to charge $240. and no one will want to pay that lmfao. $30 is probably fine.
